There are relatively few animes out there which make me say "YAY" when I see a new episode available, Daa^3 is one of them.
I didn't care much for the "bad guys" in this set of episodes, though it's still a great series.
The end of this episode has got me worried... is the forum sticky correct that there are really 78 episodes? It seemed that the ending of this ep was a sudden "thanks for watching the series, we got suddenly cancelled" sort of thing.
I remember Ranma 1/2 did the same thing after the first season, and didn't come back until the storyline was retooled to be more wacky. :( Can anyone soothe my fears?

I agree, it always makes my day when a new Daa!Daa!Daa! episode is out, I'm really glad AnimeOne picked it up and has been sticking with it. Supposedly the series has a good, conclusive ending that ties everything up well rather than leaving things up in the air, so I'm looking forward to seeing it after all 78 eps are subbed.
Maybe if I'm lucky AnimeOne will sub Mirumo next :)

What's Mirumo ?
What's Mirumo ?
It's "Mirumo de Pon!"--it's currently on it's 3rd or 4th series in Japan, if you like Daa!Daa!Daa! you'd probably like it also. Hikari no Kiseki subbed the first 8 episodes, but no new eps have come out since last October :upset:
It's a shoujo comedy about a middle school girl, Kaede, who runs across Mirumo, a somewhat self-centered prince from the fairy world that comes to live with her. It's got a good cast and the requisite love triangle between Kaede, her crush Yuki-kun, and another girl who's her rival for his affections. Kaede's rival has her own fairy, Yashichi, who she keeps threatening to flush down the toilet if he doesn't find a way to get Yuki together with her and thwart Kaede. It's just a light, fun series with a good cast--hopefully it'll get licensed someday by someone who won't edit the heck out of it, or someone will pick up where HnK left off and sub more.

And thanks for subbing this great series
I've been following it since the beginning... it was the first DiVX file I ever downloaded way back when, and I watched it without sound the first time. :)
Once I figured out the sound codec, I finally heard the opening theme and realized I had been grooving to an MP3 of it I had for a long time before. :thinker:
I myself prefer Daa^3 over Mirumo, I think Miyu and Kanata and more interesting than the couple in the other anime. I'm also still amazed that after 39 "baby episodes" Daa^3 is still going strong. It proves that good writing and attractive art can make an unlikely anime idea work.

I hope not.
I watched Daa! Daa! Daa! on my local TV, dubbed of course. But nothing beats the original Japanese voices on this one.
I guess comedies like this one are sadly lacking in anime nowadays.

I've seen about half of it and and it's enjoyable, a little repetitive after a while but still fun to watch. And, yes, it is 78 episodes in length.

I really like it, there's a good cast and a lot of laugh out loud moments. I was really happy when AonE picked it up, they've done a great job with it so far, and seem to be on a steady 1-per-month pace.

I have it up to 39, hehe now gotta wait, and wait, and wait. I have all the files on my comp, since this anime always need help with seeding. I always check the site once in a while to see where a seed is needed. Little side note, ep. 37 is not listed on animesuki, but when you get to the Got Woot page, 37 is listed. Also there are 2 listings of 25-36 on Got Woot. I dunno wassup, but I have the second one on that list, since it's the one that is identified on the animesuki page. Nice sweet series.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
For all of you who are downloading Daa!Daa!Daa! episodes 25-36, the Got Woot page list 2 verisons of this download. One is [AonE]Daa_Daa_Daa_25-36, and th other is [AonE]_Daa_Daa_Daa_25-36. Notice that the first one listed has no lower dash between [AonE] and Daa one is like this [AonE]Daa the second is listed like this [AonE]_Daa. Well the second listed [AonE]_Daa is the one that is listed on the animesuki page, telling the number of seeds and leechers. Well the files inside the folders are EXACTLY THE SAME.
I seed for this series often so I wanted to check and downloaded both folders. Since the second verison is listed on animesuki it makes it easier for me to check when you guys need seeds. I only have the second verison completed, I only download the first verison to check the contents of the folder. I am seeding for the second verison as we speak. Anyways, you can just download the second verison of the file, then cut and paste all the files from the first folder to the second one and they will replace the ones that are newly downloaded, like an update. Then you just restart your download and it will resume from where you left off.
I don't remember if this works for basic BT client, well I use Azureus and everytime I download anything it allocates space for the file as though it were complete. I've done this before for other files so that I can seed series like Kanon on other sites where the renamed the files that I had.
Right now the first verison has 10 leachers no seed and the second verison has 6 leachers and me seeding.

Does anyone know if Animeone is still doing this series?
Thank you to anyone who replies.
78 episodes? It looks exactly like it ends at episode 39.
(That said: What's with its sudden popularity? I went to the Resharing page and suddenly there were 3 Daa Daa Daa cluster packs in the top page??)
I've only read the first pages of the manga, but it seems to focus more on the attraction between the two young people while the anime focuses on the baby.

It looks like it ended at 39 but it didn't, it's merely the half of it.
On our local TV it was shown, all 78 of it.
I hope AonE would continue this series. I think it took them 2 years to get into 1/2 of it though...

A long baby episode?? I find it a very enjoyable "cutesie" level anime. It has some great comedy in it too. :) I'm seriously dying waiting for the rest of this anime to be subbed. I'd go buy the region 2 dvd's except I am out of money for a while. Between several things going wrong/breaking lately and a couple of my credit card companies effectively bending me over I'm out of anime money for a while. Like till Christmas at this point. So I'm kinda stuck waiting on other anime subbing groups to either finish releasing some older series they haven't finished, or for new episodes of the current series to come out. :(

Finally, episode 40 is out, at the end of episode 39, it made it seem like it was the end of the anime, even I knew the series goes to 78. Maybe it was the end of the season or something, anyways, downloading episode 40 right now, I hope I don't have to wait a month for 41 :heh:
Oh, anyone notice how much Ruu's parents look like Kanata and Miyu? Sine the wormholes allow you to travel in time, what if Ruu-kun came from the future where humans had colonized Ruu's planet and Kanata and Miyu lived there and had Ruu! :thinker: Maybe thats why Ruu called Miyu and Kanata "Mama" and "Papa" as soon as he saw them. Maybe not... :heh:
Yes! Oh yes! Episode 40 is here! Yayayayay! *Happy Porcupine Dance* Finally, like a dream come true, more 3(Daa!) goodness!
I'm sorry, but I really don't think Miyu and Kanata are Ruu's parents, although almost anything is possible in this weird universe. But notice that there are already lots of planets with intelligent life and space travel, evidently Earth is more like a natural preserve in cosmos. So I doubt time travel is involved. Perhaps the saucer was programmed to home in on his parents in an emergency, and these two were the closest in that sector of the galaxy?

Seems very likely to me that they are really Ruu's real parents, just the past versions, though my theory is that they travelled into a wormhole and got stranded on Ruu's planet in the past...or something like that. :P Its also very suspicious how they darken the real parent's faces. :P
Glad ep40 came out, keep it up Aone. <3 you very much.
1) Planet Otto is famous for its floating babies (as mentioned by several space visitors). Earth is not. Generally, Otto people have psychic powers; Miyu and Kanata do not.
2) Wanya doesn't recognize them as the parents, andhe has seen the parent's faces; we have not.
3) Ruu gets the 100 multiplication, I think Miyu and Kanata would have known if they had it when they were babies.
4) Ruu's parents are searching for him. Miyu and Kanata would know where he was. They would also know that he was quite safe.

Yeah those are some ideas that sort of get in the way of the idea, but I still think it's a good possibilty that they are his parents... who knows, maybe they adopted him? lol...

I'm going to throw my thoughts in on this argument. It's entirely possible that they're searching for him because "searching" doesn't imply actually looking. I could be searching for someone and know what area they are in, but not know exactly where they are. His parents could be making a beeline towards Earth to pick him up, but not remembering exactly where he's at, they'll still have to hunt for him once they get there. That's the part where the true searching kicks in.
Downloading ep 41 now--new To Heart and Daa!Daa!Daa! in the same night, it's like winning the lottery :)
I remember hearing there was a sequel to Daa!Daa!Daa! where Ruu-kun is a high school or college student and goes to study on Earth--does anyone know if this is manga-only and if it's started running yet? Hopefully it'll do well and be turned into an anime series as well, although Momoka is plenty scary at four years old, she's going to as bad as Christine when she's older....
Ruu in high school? That would be awesome. Does anyone know what the series is called? I want to keep my eyes open for it.

Found it--it's "Shin Daa!Daa!Daa!" (New Daa!Daa!Daa!) and volume 2 of the manga (and possibly more) is out in Japan.
There's a little more info about it here, but THIS LINK HAS SPOILERS FOR THE END OF DAA!DAA!DAA! so don't click unless you don't mind being spoiled on how things wind up:

I can't find much about this new series other than that Ruu is "grown up" in it--hopefully it'll get scanlated or licensed and it'll get turned into an anime eventually too. I agree, seeing a grown up Ruu-kun would be awesome--I think he studies abroad on Earth in the new series but I can't find where I read that.
EDIT: There are scans from Shin Daa!Daa!Daa! (just a couple, and not translated) here--they probably are spoilers though, so again beware:

Not sure if the sequel's being made into an anime series yet though--all I can find is that the sequel's manga is definitely released through volume 2. I hope that since Daa!Daa!Daa! the original made it to anime, the sequel will too, although nothing on Anime Daisuki about it yet :upset:

Well, by the time the series gets subbed, it may be an anime. We can only hope or groan - whatever your preference for DaaDaaDaa is.
So far, I actually like the second half of the series better than the first. The baby part is toned down a bit if favor of the relationship between Miyu and Kanata. And Chris! After watching Midori no Hibi I realize that I sympathize more with girls who do something when they like a boy, even if they never succeed, rather than those who just happen to get close to the boy by divine intervention. Like Midori in MnH, and Miyu in DDD. Really, Miyu knows that she likes Kanata but she continues to act as if he was a nuisance. Meanwhile Chris-chan is making a fool of herself trying to get attention from Kanata. That's just so unfair. I hope we will see more of Christine.
The second half seems to be focusing more on Miyu and Kanata starting to realize they like each other--the last episode that came out was classic, although I was disappointed Christine didn't go into WMD mode at the ball, I expected her to level the whole castle when she saw Miyu/Cinderella and Kanata/Prince dancing together. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest, this is a great series.
Just got Ep. 51 of Daa Daa Daa. I really appreciate animeone fansubbing these, but I guess the anime doesn't cause much discussing since it is not very controversial. I look forward to each episode though.
One thing, I wish they would ease up on the "demolition Chris" gag. We got it already! I really like Chris except for her jealousy, and I wish she could get a little more respect. It's a strange thing, because I love to watch the growing friendship between Kanata and Miyu also.
Just a note to the FAN's i have ordered the DVD's now so hopefully vid quality will be better for somewhere around 53-54+ ^_^
And btw its fun when Chris wreck havoc, and this time it was extra fun cause she dident need to clean up the mess :P

I think the group has done a brilliant job of releasing episodes to this 70+ long series, far quicker then I would have anticipated. I'm hoping fansublation will end at least around early 2005, though I honestly don't want to wait ^^;

So cute .... err, kawaii! ^_^ Looks like my new desktop background ...
Episode 53 was hilarious with the Miyu and Kanata replacement and Ruu-kun's reaction. He is a baby after all! And poor Santa. Of course, Santa is supposed to fly with reindeer, not a deer, but still ...
I am kinda glad the two episodes were released at the same time, since they were really more like one long episode. I noticed that this has started to happen in the second half of the series. Perhaps it is going to be the new trend?
I also found it funny that the new episodes showed up the same day I used a screenshot from Daa Daa Daa in my online diary (the bath scene in episode 1, where Miyu goes "These things always happen in manga or anime..." Because, well, they do!). I love the zanyness of this show.

This anime is so good. I hope that the subbers will continue to sub this series. I got worried because there hasn't been a new release since July so I'm just asking if anyone knows if this series will be continued. As for the subbers please take your time. And also thank you for your hard work. This series just makes my day.
I would also like to say that I am a very big fan of this series and I always look forward to when new Ep's come out.
@ the Fansubbers: Please don't give up on this series, we really enjoy your work.
I really hope the rest of the episodes come out too, it's kind of sad that in a 78-episode series they got all the way up to 57 but then it's stalled since July. Maybe we'll get really lucky and the last 21 episodes are going to come out all at once :)
I should probably just be grateful at least we got to see 57 episodes of this subbed, when other series like it, like Mirumo de Pon or Kasumin, never got subbed up to episode 10. Thanks to everyone who worked on this at AnimeOne, you guys did a great job.
Could someone please help me? I finally got to downloading ep. 57 and the website that hosts it no longer has the file and I've googled it but no results either.

A new thread for an old series (2000): "Daa! Daa! Daa!" is a show that appears simple and unrefined at first glance, but gradually draws (or abruptly grabs) the viewer in with its light-hearted humor and heart-warming episodes.
Many shows are in the business of trying to be "cool," these are your Hellsings, your Slam Dunks, most of your Mecha shows and Bleach. Daa!x3 is in the business of fun, and it succeeds in spades as it is the funnest show I have ever watched, doing so in a completely clean way so as to win double honors as the most Family-Friendly (and at the same time entertaining) show I've ever seen; Daa! Daa! Daa! is where comedy, family, romance, and fun converges.

There's already a thread on this anime here (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=10031). Something must be wrong with the search because when I tried searching for it I got no results at all for "daa!" or "daa! daa! daa!".
That's because of the minimum word length. Search only works on words longer
than 4 characters. The reason for that is to keep the search index down to size.
Of course, there is still the Series Discussion Index :)
On topic: Chris is my favorite character from Daa!Daa!Daa too. She's voiced by
the same seiyuu as Yoshino from Maria-sama ga Miteru btw. And yes I would
love it if somebody (AonE preferbly) would continue subbing this show someday.

Her Seiyuu is also one Nishizawa Momoka from Keroro Gunsou. That character is, personality wise, literal identical twins with Chris. The ability to go from wound up high-up octane to utterly girly is impressive.
You know, I wonder why this show was never licensed. Is it because its family friendly so they thought no one would want to watch it? Kamichu's won some sort of distinction from an award so that ought to be picked up some time, but then, Daa! Daa! Daa! is even more family oriented than that.

Nice to see this enjoyable show being talked about. I just learned that Miyu's seiyuu, Nazuka Kaori (http://hashihime.atspace.com/Hashi_seiyuusC.html#nazukaor), also did Lala Ru in Here and There, Then and Now, and is appearing in three current shows: she's Eureka in Eureka 7, Erisu in Canvas2, and Miho in noein.

My jaw nearly fell off when I realized that Renton and Eureka from Eureka 7 share the same seiyuu with Kanata and Miyu.
Yes, this is definitely an overlooked gem. I blieve some one described it as the best Chiched anime ever, to which I agree in part, in that it keeps things simple, but executes the simple things well. I'm going to do everything I can to share this show with others, and to that end....

I perfectly agree with everyone that this series is just an excellent one. I have been chasing after it crazily for the past four years. Recently, i just picked up the habit of bt-ing animes and luckily found the first 57 episodes subed by AnimeOne. I am really greatful. Yet much to my surprise, the original (Japanese) version has a lot of scenes that I have not seen before. It soon becomes clear to me that the broadcasting company in my country has deleted a lot of important scenes (for example, the first kissing scene of Miyu and Kanata, such an important scene!!!). I was so upset. I really hope AnimeOne would continue working on it. AnimeOne staff, Gambette!!!!

We have released episode 58, and hopefully more episodes soon. We are really sorry that it's taken so long for just one episode but know that we are still working on it.
Thanks for all your patience and enjoy ep 58!
Edit: Forgot to mention something. We were approached by a group a few months ago about helping out with DDD. What we really need help with is Edit and possibly Typesetting. The rest we are okay on. Please contact me on IRC if you're still interested in helping out with DDD. Thanks!

Yes, thank you so much for releasing ep58 (and more, i hope). Have been waiting ages for an eps of DDD.
As expected, great work! I can certainly understand the delay, considering the troubles that have happened in the meantime. I am just happy that you guys do your best!
Interestingly, we see the beginning of another arc here (in ep 58). I wonder how long it is, and what the long-time effects will be. I look forward to watching them all, in good time. ^_^
Thank you so much for ep 58. This is one of my favorite animes. I was even looking at the posibility of buying the DVDs from Japan to get the end of the story. I was very excited to see ep 58 available for download.:D :D :D
Thank yuo again for continueing this great series.

Daa! Daa! Daa!, also known as UFO Baby, is really a jewel of a series and it's been a pleasure watching every single episode - since everything about it is really nice and likeable. I'm also grateful to the good people from AniONE to have continued to fansub this excellent series. I've really loved it ever since watching it for the first time on Animax.
Anybody knows where i can get episode 55, 56, 57? Cos there's no seeders for those eps...

I've gotten some questions as to when the next episode will come out so I thought I'd post here. 59 is progressing smoothly. We hope to release in the next few weeks. The primary delay was our timer was helping his sister move, but now we're working a bit more efficiently.
Ideally, I'd like to finish DDD by the end of the year but I doubt that will happen. However, we will certainly try our best to get into a consistent release schedule so you won't have to wait as long (like the year for 58!).

Well, I don't know about this show much, but I know fansubbing into the Chinese language is fast and furious for most anime. Further, licensing of shows in the West has no relevance in Asian countries. So those who saw the series just might have been Asian, and watched the whole series in a Chinese sub...

There is no website with those episodes. That's because episodes 60-78 have not yet been subtitled by anyone. Considering it has been 11 months since episode 59 was subbed, it isn't likely that anyone is even trying.

*cries*If that bothers you don't just cry. Post about it in Stalled series that should be completed and maybe someone will fansub the next episode!
If you check AnimeSuki (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/18.html) you'll see the dates the previous episodes were released on.
Episode 59 was released on January 1, 2007.
Episode 58 was released on July 4, 2006.
If a new episode isn't released on this New Years it might be time to give up on AonE ever finishing this show.

Ok, nudge has been dutifully placed in the quoted thread.
NoSanninWa, maybe more than anyone else on the planet, you might know what has worked to successfully beg fansubbers into completing a series. So... um... whaddya know, Joe? (Joanne?)

The only thing that works is to find fansubbers that like a show and then get them all together. If you can get fansubbing fans together, sometimes magic happens.
Also, you might want to look into a source of raws. Considering how it has been since Daa Daa Daa aired, it might be a bit hard to find raws. Maybe you ought to purchase the DVDs and then offer them to anyone who will sub them. Sometimes that is also effective at recruiting fansubbers.
I have waited patiently for episode 60, and enjoyed it greatly. Mikan is an awesome supporting character (well, perhaps not exactly supporting... more like "being supported"!).
Now off to wait another year or two for episode 61. Miyu and Kanata's first kiss? Really? Probably not, but it is still bound to be good.
Good to see someone is still interested in fansubing this serie, after all, I thought this has long forgotten :heh:
I hope AonE continue to work on this even if it take them a long time to complete, but not tooooo long. This was one of my all-time favorite animu and I really want to see this translated till the end.
Awesome episode, it's been a long time but seeing another episode of Daa! Daa! Daa! show up felt like winning the lottery. Episode 61 looks like it should be awesome too, with some good Miyu x Kanata development although I'm sure right at the critical part of the scene in the preview either Wanya's going to walk in or Christine will destroy half the shrine with her bare hands... :heh:

Wow, after a whole year a new episode is released <3 Thanks AnimeOne
But anyway, my friend found some bootlegged version from hong kong, so I've already seen all episodes. I would say the last few episodes have quite alot of Kanata and Miyu developement.
Luckily the chinese publishers of Daa!Daa!Daa! had a reprint of it, and I managed to get all the volumes. <3 (Daa!Daa!Daa! is actually quite popular in hong kong) But I do refer the anime alot more, the manga doesn't have the hyperness in the anime.

Yup, thanks AonE.
Good episode.
It's also a nice, nostalgic feeling to see the animation style... hand-drawn and -painted foreground characters, with the less-detailed watercolor backgrounds.

I thoroughly enjoyed episode 61 too. Although the "make contact" plot was very flimsy. I mean, it could make contact directly, so why need someone else for it? But it was worth it for the suspense. Reminded me a little about the magic book episode actually.
I hope we get to see all of the episodes, although it would be quite sad to see the last of them and know there would be no more Daa! Daa! Daa!

I'm just dropping in to say THANK YOU for episode 62! While it did nothing to advance the plot (that I could see) it was a funny little detour.
Yes, thank you very much! I haven't watched it yet (I plan to marathon all the episodes I haven't watched . . . maybe the whole series once you finish subbing), but really, thanks for sticking with this series!!! :D
Thanks for subbing Ep 63 as well! I am not a big fan of the haunted house episodes in anime, generally. But the cuteness made it all worth it. Chris-chan was particularly endearing in this episode.

You can do it Luke!! Even if you only release 4 episodes a year that would put you on track to finish in 2016 or so! ONWARD!! :D
But yeah, I love this series and hope it get's finished somehow. With my luck it'll get licensed just before aone gets through ep 73 and it'll NEVER get dubbed so I'll NEVER see the end. meh. I'll check back in 5 years.. hopefully it will have completed by than.

the baby gets back to his home planet and miyu and kanata get married and have a child. which is in the second series called shin daa daa daa in this series ruu is a teenager and he stumbles upon a girl who came from earth and he is trying to help her get back. unknown to him this is actually miyu and kanatas only child thats as far as i have read....

Spoiler tag would have been nice. The ending is so...average and predictable.
The 'ending' you got there, is the 2nd manga series called Shin Daa! Daa! Daa!, which I honestly think is...not on par with the first series. The manga isn't golden from the start anyway, Nakayoshi probally just wanted to milk more out of it. (Currently they're milking Shugo Chara)
In the anime ending, Miyu And Kanata's child is much younger, and she's just a baby. In the ShinDaa! their daughter is around the same age as Ruu, which doesn't make sense. They honestly taken more care within the anime.
