This is such great news..... I just found out that starting June 26th, a new, 13 ep OVA series, Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho, will air on Sky Perfect Pay Per View. The R2 Dvds count will be 7 discs, each having some 25 minute eps. I'm sooo happy....Hopefully, 4kids won't get it. Here's a link to the news- http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/ova/doremi/

This would actually be much more exciting if it wouldn't be centered around little elementary grade kids, but rather around middle school or high school girls :uhoh:

1. Good chance 4kids will get it

2. Geuss who the target audience is?

I think 4Kids would never get it. Did they license Ojamajo Doremi as a whole? Or only the first series? Ojamajo Doremi had 4 series composed of 50+ episodes each. So counting the new series it's now 5.

I only sparingly watched a few eps. of the first season, it's quite nice if you can get over the fact that they're just elementary kids.

I know that the target audience is elementary grade girls.
Elementary grade girls don't excite me the tiniest bit, so I would like for them to be older. Just my personal preference, don't know about you or the others.

the whole thing.
I bet that they will regret buying Ojamajo Doremi as a whole once they see that no one's watching it on TV anymore after a season of episodes.

I am not exactly sure why you are bothering to reply here then. It is very clear what OD is about. Anyway It's to bad we will never get any series of OD subbed
:(

I bet that they will regret buying Ojamajo Doremi as a whole once they see that no one's watching it on TV anymore after a season of episodes. There is no reason for the fans to stop watching after season one, so this will not happen. And DoReMi is really popular among young girls, so there will be fans (although it will not bring as much money as a show like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh).

Me too, I adore Doremi.
I have all the Japanese DVDs of the 4 seasons, and the 1st of Naisho.

Thread lives again!

Episode 7 was rather boring, I thought. This Yoshida kid wasn't very interesting. This series is supposed to be about the girls! I couldn't muster much enthusiasm for the great honor of baking taiyaki, either.

IMO the best so far was episode 4. I got through that episode asking "is this a show for kids?" I liked its innate complexity and style, and despite just being animated Onpu-tan is always my idol!

I started watching beyond the subs... and I can say this: Prepare for episode 12. Best... episode... ever... Been a while since an anime almost brought me to tears...

Ojamajo Doremi Naisho is so good, I'd want to watch every other season. Heck, I'd take it even if it were 4Kids (er, on second thought, no thanks.)

You're right bluemist. Episode 12... *sniff sniff. Damn that will be a chore to translate, to get all that meaning across.

But don't worry! Doremi-fansubs will do them! Just you wait!

Ojamajo Doremi Naisho 10-11 out. Valentine's Day surprise, Yada x Hazuki relationship development.

But the only reason I'm saying this is because everyone here who's an Ojamajo Doremi fan must watch episode 12 when we get it out. It is "THE" most emotional episode of Ojamajo Doremi. It personifies all that is great with what a Mahou Shoujo anime can do.

I'm looking forward to it. I really liked 11 and I liked the ending to 10 more than I thought I would. I'm happy how that episode ended. Thanks for the hard work!

For me, I wouldn't say ep. 12 is THE most emotional, but it's certainly up there being one of the best episodes of the entire series. The only real caveat is that everything happened in that one episode without prior build-up... that took away the emotion a bit. In any case through ep. 12 (and the entire Naisho series itself), people should see/have seen what Ojamajo Doremi is really about.

It's really one of the most underappreciated mahou shoujo anime out there, and I want to see it shine beyond the "very edited" 4Kids version.

I like Ojamajo Doremi, and I've watched all the episodes that are on fansub right now for Naisho. I hope that they finish fansubbing this series. That one episode where Momoko was "Momotaro" and speaking english was hilarious. Momoko has to be the best at speaking english out of any anime character i've seen!

Agreed.

And related to that... any chance Doremi-fansubs would do DVD specials for Ojamajo Doremi?

I have this nice set of Naisho DVD specials, Momoko's English lessons, which is a 1-minute episode preview for each ep. (13 in all), featuring Momoko trying to teach the other ojamajo in translating each Japanese episode title into English! It's quite hilarious, but more importantly, Momoko's English is near dead-accurate!

She's so awesome, I got her on my avatar currently. Love and Peace!

Maceart

They probably will, since they have the an English name for Onpu already, and seeing as it's 4kids they'll grab the most episodes they can.

Naisho 12-13 coming by the end of May. I promise.

Sorry about resurrecting an ancient 2 month thread (blame the fact our translator for Doremi went AWOL for 2 months) but episode 12-13 has finally been released!

Episode 12 is a must watch for any Ojamajo Doremi fan. Directed by Juunichi Sato, this episode is sure to bring tears to all but the most hardened anime watcher.

Episode 13 brings a wonderful conclusion to the Naisho OAV series.

@Maceart

Episode 12:
The translation of "weak body" may be erratic. It refers to the 'card game'.

Hmm, the Chinese dubs completely changed that bit. Oh well, nice catch.
