personaly i dont like yaoi but there are realy good series, "yaoi" is the oppsite to "shojo" which is "for girls"

Is yaoi hentai?
Yaoi (yowie, n.), often seen as YAOI or Y.A.O.I., is a Japanese acronym for "yamanashi, ochinashi, imanashi", which translates in English to "no climax, no point, no meaning" and signifies a homosexual relationship between two males. The use of "no meaning, no point" largely suggests that sex is the main object in a yaoi relationship, a view expressed by the author/artist (yaoi is mostly a fan-based genre). This term is solely relevant to anime, manga and other Japanese creations featuring a male/male pairing.

The western counterpart of yaoi, known as slash, takes characters from a movie/cartoon/comic/TV show and pairs two men or women together (most often men). It is called slash because of the way the name pairings are written. For instance, Bruce/Dick might be the pairing in any given Batman & Robin slash fiction story with Bruce Wayne as the dominant partner and Dick as the submissive partner (in yaoi terms, it would be written like Rowen x Sage with Rowen as dom, Sage as sub). So, the forward-slash between names is used for slash (western m/m material), the x between names for yaoi (eastern m/m material). Everybody with me so far? Great!

The difference between yaoi and slash are few but profoundly so; slash is mostly written fiction from live TV series or movies, and some effort goes into the explanation as to just why these two men ended up in a relationship together. Yaoi is a vastly visual field dominated by art like manga, doujinshi and movies, and it often doesn't matter how or why the characters got together--sex is what matters, often leaving room for PWP fanfictions, and is known to pair the most unlikely characters -even enemies- together for no reason at all.
