Does someone know when is going to come out, I'd heard rumors that is was going to come out november 14th, but for obvious reasons it was a fake rumor...

I also saw there was going to be release a movie that was continuing (sp) the saga of hades to the saga of heaven, I need to look up again the page where i saw this info.

PS: If someone can make a post of the november/december inc anime plz do, like it was done in the last forum for the octuber releases.

I found the other forum where i got the info, The movie is due to air febuary 14th, in this page you can see some pictures: http://sj.shueisha.co.jp/contents/kurumada/index.html the tentative name is "Saint Seiya, Kamigami to no ketsubetsu" that it means something like "Saint Seiya, Good bye to the gods, or with the gods", but a newspaper called "Daily Sports" says that the possible tittle is "SAINT-SEIYA TENKAI-HEN JOSHO-OVERTURE" that it roughly translate to "Saint Seiya, Heaven saga prologue".

Well its been a while, and still no new on this next chapter for the Hades Saga, it's quite disapointing , and now there is a trailer out there for the next movie of the series, I really hope that it doesnt come out first before finishing the Hades Saga, because the movie already has a release date....

Hmm... I was under the impression that the movie will be the continuation of the Hades saga... There isn't any time to release any more OVAs from now until Febuary after all.

Yeah Brightman, this movie is suppose to be after the Hades Saga, that is why its a prologue of the Zeus Saga or Heaven Saga, but by the looks of it, it's going to be release before the Hades saga ends.....

No, I meant the movie itself will be the conclusion of the Hades saga and the prelude to the Heaven saga. The Hades OVAs are finished and have been finished for a while. So the only Saint Seiya project going on is the movie.

this is my first time in this forum... I've found it intresting and then I've wanted to join you, especially I'm here for Saint Seiya. I've been grown up by Seiya's and the other saints' adventures.
I'd like to ask you some questions about the brand new "Hell Chapter". When is it supposed to air? Next year maybe... I've never found anywhere such information.
But I'm quite sure that this new Chapter has already been realised because I got a trailer-like video showing how Shun's become Hades, and the Bronze Saints with the divine cloths.

Hi there :) As you say this series are totally adicting. But tell me, where did you watched those 3 english episodes?


Well, Just a little briefing before answering your question:
Saint Seiya "Officially" ended 15 years ago in the saga of poseidon, ep 114. But Mazamy Kurumada the creator of Saint Seiya was planning to end the series in the saga of Hades. But due to many problems, the series had to be stoped abruptly, and Mazamy made a quick ending in the saga of Poseidon. However, this changed 1 year ago when in november 2002 bandai aired the OVAS of Saint Seiya based on the hades chapter of the manga. This happened due to the pressure comming from the fans of the anime who wanted to see a worthy ending for the series (Count me in :p )

Saint Seiya was a manga before, and the only part of the manga that was not animated was the saga of hades, which is supposed to be the ending the anime. In that saga Andromeda is the reecarnation of Hades in this world (I won't give you more details, I don't want to spoil too much)Andromeda will awake his true self once Hades decides that it is the time to do so. Therefore, the most probable thing is that hades will take over shun's body in the OVAS too. But it is not possible to confirm that yet since there are only 13 OVAS for now. These are basically the first half of the hades' saga that is divided into Santuary Chapter and Hell Chapter.

I highly suggest you to watch the 114 episodes before watching the OVAS, because they are a continuation of the story and people who are unfamiliar to this anime could find it quiet dissappointing due to the lack of character development. There is a lot of character develpment, even with most enemies, but the main charaters are explored at the beggining of the series.

Yes.... and....... no, it is the end of the hasdes santuary chapter, but hades will continue in the hell chapter, which is supposed to be more than 13 episodes (I'm not sure) but some say that the whole hades chapter will last about 39 episodes.

its a side story. I think is after the hades saga and it involves the goddess arthemis as the nemesis. For more info you can go here (http://www.saint-seiya.com.ar) they have an english section, but the spanish section is more updated (sorry i dont know any site more complete and in english). Now for what i know its almost impossible to get a raw, because at this point is only presented in theaters. You can find the screener but i think thats hideous, we saint seiya fans have to wait until de DVD realease!!!! :(

II said it clearly in my other post; The Episode G is a manga, this manga is dedicated exclusively to the story of the Gold Saints (The ones on my signature). In other words, you get to know much more deeply how they earned their armor and how their personal lives are. I must say that this manga in amazing, I'm reading it and it has a wonderful story and a LOT of character development. Besides, the graphics are just awesome.

The story takes place 13 years ago before the actual story of SS when Athena was just a little baby who was sent by the Gods. The story begins with the pope of the sanctuary of Athena trying to assassinate Athena when she was asleep, but Aioros the gold saint Sagittarius saved her just before the pope is able to kill her. Aioros takes the baby Athena on his arms and escapes with her from the sanctuary. In order to cover up his original intentions the pope declares that Aioros had tried to kill Athena and therefore he is a betrayer of the Sanctuary. The sanctuary as a consecuence kills Aioros. However, by the time that he dies he had already given the baby to the care of someone else.

Being Aioros' younger bother, Aioria, the gold saint of Leo, he is also considered a betrayer of sanctuary, and so, the story of the manga develops around Aioria's struggle to regain his honor as a rightful and loyal gold saint of the Sanctuary while he also tries to prove to the pope that he is a worthy individual who has sworn to forget all about his older brother Aioros whom he deeply hates.

As I said before it's very probable that the episode G becomes an animated saga in the near future, due to the fact that it is very popular throughout Japan :)

Probably who knows. Actually the Hades saga was supposed to be the end of the series but it seems that with this new movie the author of the seires is trying to shown that he plans to go on. We will maybe se the Zeus chapter or the Episode G.

Unfortunately guys, if you don't know Spanish or French it will be really hard for you to find it. Or almost impossible due to the fact that Cartoon network has been destroying the reputation of classic anime series because they think that it is proper to make some "adjustments" to the show if it is a little too violent. The best example of this is: Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z. This show is a complete classic in South America and Europe, but here it sucks ass. The same is happening with Saint Seiya, I have asked many guys who watch SS on CN about their opinion for this show, and most of them say that it is a kid’s show, it doesn't have good graphics, it doesn't have a clear story, the battles are boring, and the blood is GREEN!

This description is an insult for any Saint Seiya fan. Saint Seiya is being considered as the new power rangers in the US, this is the most accurate description of the show, which is being currently aired every Saturday on Cartoon Network.

In brief, Saint Seiya is an average show in the US as Dragon Ball Z is, and if you don't know any of these two shows please; don't start watching them in US television because your opinion about the series will be permanently affected. I demonstrated that with this thread as for nobody who has wathed the DBZ in South America or Europe would think so lowly of that show.

Totally agree...
IMO the best to enjoy shows like Saint Saiya and DB and Ranma is by reading the mangas, not the anime... The anime are too long and quality are subpar.
Except the Hades chapter for SS though, the graphic in the show is abslutely fantastic.
If Hell chapter is out with same quality as Hades chapter I am all for it!!

The four old movies of Saint Seiya are really bad, I don't recomend any of those.
Besides, the movies weren't made by Mazami Kurumada himself but for the guys of Toei Animation.

mmm May be the only acceptable one is "SHINKU NO SHONEN" but that is it.

I don't think they're bad just damn repetitive. They all have Seiya put on the cloth of Sagittarius and firing an arrow to kill the bad guy and Shun being a total wuss (he doesn't get to defeat anyone on any of the four OVAs, being always saved by Ikki). I must say though, I love Kamigami no Atsuki Tatakai. The battle between "evil" Hyouga and Shiryu though short, is one of my favorites, right up there with Hyouga VS Camus and Hyouga VS Milo.

the best battle for me is Chaka vs Ikki! this battle is completly amazing, especially how Chaka plays with the mind of poor Ikki, and then destroys Ikki's every sense! just spectacular.

All of the battles in Saint Seiya are amazing, but to my taste I would say that Camus vs Hyoga and Mime vs Ikki vere the best I have seen so far.

Hey now, don't everybody go and forget about ADV! For some that might not know, they are briging us all of Saint Seiya, uncut and subbed, with a marginally better english dub..lol..its not like they can ever compete with the original seiyuu. Considering ADV's track record, I think we will see a sanctuary box set, or a box set of some sort within the next few months. And that is a reat things that's a long time coming. Another great battle was in the 1st saint seiya movie, not so much because of the battle...but of the fact that when you saw who it was...you knew it would never fly in the US on tv..Cygnus vs "Southern Cross" Hah!

The scene with camus happens because the in the manga there was no cristal saint, camus was the direct master of hyoga, and he remembered his training in that scene.

The other one with Seiya wich seems like a dream is MAYOR spoiler if you haven't read the manga

Im not completly sure, but seems that Seiya dies at the end of the hades saga, and Athena is asking him not to, actually all the saints end up dead at the end of every mayor arc ( the sanctuary, asgard, poseidon) and they are revived by athena later

I have just dled saint seiya hades, and because it has been several years since I watched the original saint seiya I am a little bit confused!

Can some one tell me what was the story behind the original saint seiya?

I know that at first seiya and his friends went all the trouble to collect the sagitarius gold clothes, but it happens that there were actually 12 gold saints. I also remembered that seiya and his friends had to fight them! my questions are:
1.Why do they fight each other?
2. Where did the sagitarius gold clothe go?
3.Tell me the story of the original saint seiya

Next is a huge spoiler about all Saint seiya, my advice is if you haven't seen it go buy the whole series because is the best of all times and then join the club of Saint Seiya fanboys/fangirls :heh: I can't help to promote my beloved series.

1. They are fighting each other because Hades resurrected them to kill Athena, they are supossedly under Hades control. At the end of this part we realized they wanted Athena's blood to obtain Athena's armor 'cause using this armor is the only way to defeat Hades. If you noticed it the resurrected Gold Saints, except from Shion, were all the gold saints killed in the battle of the twelve houses of the Zodiac.

2. I honestly don't know this one.

3. Thats a very nice summary from you, but is just from the first part. In this all the golden saints resurrected by Hades are killed by the bronze saints

There are basically three arcs.

The first arc is the arc wich covers the recolection of the sagitarius clothes and the battle in the houses of the zodiac, in this part Athena get a golden arrow in her chest and the bronze saints must battle against the clock (they only have 12 hours) to bring the master ares to athena, but to get to the master of the sanctuary the must first defeat all the golden saints, there is one for each house, from the signs of the zodiac. After the battles all the saints died except for seiya who gets to the master's room to discover that he is actually a good person and tells seiya he must use the shield of athena to save her, then he turns evil and is revealed that he is actually the golden saint of gemini, with to faces, one evil and one good. he fights with seiya and then with ikki ( brought back from the depths of the universe by chaka, the golden saint of virgo wich he defeated) while seiya goes to get the athena's shield to save her.

After that it comes the asgard saga. In asgard they have to fight against the god warriors and hilda which is the reincarnation of Odin. Hilda has been possesed by the evil curse of the nibelung ring by someone unknow and since she is the one responsible for keeping the ice of the poles well.. frozen, the whole world is in danger by the melting of the ice poles 'cause hilda is now more worried about the defeat of athena. In this part athena is willing to sacrifice herself to keep the ice from melting while the saints go in the quest to rescue hilda from the curse, they learned that first they have to defeat the god warriors, which are seven, and get a zaphire from each, to obtain the odin's cloth and thus the odin sword, the only sword capable of breaking the ring from hilda.

Then they fight with the marines generals of Poseidon. At the end of the asgard saga, we learn that the one who put the ring in hilda was Poseidon himself. When they finally broke the ring, Athena is kidnapped by Poseidon, so the saints look for the world under the sea when Poseidon is and fight against the seven generals of Poseidon. Although the plan of Poseidon with Hilda failed, he is capable of raising the sea level and start destroying the most important cities of the world, He asks Athena to rule the world with him together, Athena obviously refuses, so Poseidon said that if she didn't accept, she have to recieve all the water that the world was recieving, she accepts this new sacrifice and gets locked in the main pillar of the ocean. The saints have to destroy seven pillars, guarded by the generals, to be able to destroy the main pillar and save athena. Is in this latter part that Seiya, Shiryu and Hyoga wear the gold armors of sagitarius, libra, and acuarius respectively. They just used them to defeat Poseidon and rescue Athena.

I'v never read the hades manga, but what we've seen for now is nothing compared to what's next, like the plot twists and the holly armors and a bunch of other stuff that are just great, unfortunatly I read that Toei decided to not animate the next part of Hades for now, they just want to tease us fans more and more, probably next year they'll continue. I suppose it all depends on how well the DVD of the Tenkai Hen does, if it does well they will be more willing to animate the rest of Hades, and even the Zeus arc , which doesn't even has a manga. We can only wait for now :sad: damn toei, we want more Seiya NOW! please! :heh:

The Saint Seiya Hades is just part of the main story. What you saw is nothing compared to the other 114 episodes of the TV series. If you can get you hands on it I'll strongly recommend you to do it. (If you haven't seen the video that I posted on the second page you better do it. The name is Saints vs Orion. It is a music video based on awesome fight from one the episodes in the older series :) )

The rest Saint Seiya hades will probably come up at the end of this year or at beginning of the other. Well, at least we have the Episode G manga and the Tenkai hen Movie comming up on DVD format this november...

Probably is the introduction to Saint Seiya Hades, i saw a video not to long ago about this. The seiyuu of Seiya appear and explain everything about the team they work with, how he dress as Seiya to look and be more enthusiastic about his work and other things, it was only 40 sec though... this might be the complete thing! It wasn't because it doesn't fit with the manga, they didn't mention asgard that much because the real boss behind everything was Poseidon.

This is Summary is a good way for "just knowing" what is going on in Saint Seiya. However, this doesn't mean that it is a good idea not worry about watching the 114 episodes. There are a lots of important moments that were left out; such as the story behind main character, the only problem is that in SS almost every enemy has a background story, which really plays a major role in the series, or many important fights.

dont think so , we really dont know what has happened to the gold saints , dont know if there dead or just sealed , but i guess the bronze saints can still call the gold cloths , but i havent seen them wear them in the trailers or clips.

as for the future of SS , not much is known , tenkai hen is suposed to be the begining of the zeus saga or whatever you want to call it , but they still have to finish hades before that , my guess is we have a long wait ahead of us , damn if a waited all those years hoping for a new saga and got hades , i can wait a couple more.

no the cloths dont change or get stronger when mu repairs them , they changed design after the gold saints gave their blood to repair them at the end of the sactuary saga they also got stronger because of this , the change in design was only that , the only way for the cloths to get stronger is when the saints use their power to the max , thats when they start looking like gold cloths , and the second way to get stronger is from getting blood from , example the gold sainst or a god , like saori , hope that helps .

As far as I know, ADV's release is the antithesis to the DiC release. I'm not sure about how much better their dub is, but I do know the content is uncut and awesome....ADV seems to be starting a trend here with the long, classic, uncut series release...first Saint Seiya...now they're gonna bring us all of the true Gatchaman...wonder what's next...(hoping for the movies, hades, and everything else to come)

Oh by the way, anybody of you heard about Saint Seiya's game for Game Boy Advance with the name Saint Seiya Blue!!?

Movies are supposed to be totally independant from the storyline to which these so called ovas are; they have nothing to do with the real saint seiya. The tenkai hen could be called an ova due to the fact that it is directly conected to the main story.

I was actually trying to find a populated Saint Seiya forum on Google just now, but this thread is about the best i got =P . This is the reason i registered to Animesuki forums lol (hardcore SS fanboy right here).

Yeah it is funny because most of us in this saint seiya thread speak English a second language :heh: In fact I dare to say that I have never meet a saint seiya fan who speaks English as his first language...

The funny thing is that if you write saint seiya in google the most famous and popular saint seiya forums are either in French, Italian or Spanish. This little thread is nothing compared to the other none-English-based forums. Sad :(

Very sad indeed. I remember trying multiple times to find an english based SS forum, but no luck each time. I'd be great to discuss this classic anime with a bunch of true fans that can speak english =P
I could start up a Saint Seiya section at my friends anime site forum, which would be great, but the hard part is actually getting SS fans there, let alone ones that speak good english. Like a big SS fanbase reunion thing.
Such an awsome anime shouldnt be kept in the shadows just cos u cant speak french, spanish etc.

Yeah it's true, I know alot of big Spanish or French's forums and to tell the truth I've registered in many of these forums, after all I am a big SS's fan so I will do crazy things but the problem is that I don't find members who talks in english so I can't discuss about Saint Seiya with them which makes me sad!

I'm also a SS fan since forever. I saw it in China with horrible dubs and I still loved the clothes and characters. When I saw a SS site in English a while back I was so thrilled. But yea, there are definitely more Spanish speaking fans than English. I'm happy that they brought the series over to the US but I have no money to buy all the DVDs. I figure the dub is probably bad but anyone know if the sub is any good?

I like the characters' Chinese names better than the Anglicized or whatever. Like Hyoga...what a weird name, in Chinese (or Japanese) it's glacier, fits much better.
It's also funny that for a while I didn't know Shun was a guy. haha.

I just came here and saw your comment and I need to say something. I watched the ADV uncut version of SS, and the dub is excellent! Don't assume it's bad before you watch it... it's almost an exact translation from the original, the timing is perfect, the voices are appropriate, etc.

Yes it's true that the characters' names have special meanings in the original language, but you know, information does get lost in translations. Nothing is perfect. As for me, I just prefer to listen to Hyoga yelling "Diamond Dust!" in perfect English instead of something like "Dayamondo Dasuto" (English spoken in Japanese).

If you are talking about the Hades OVAs, the Hades chapter now has 13 episodes produced... there are no official info yet as to whether they will finish the rest.
