The odd volumes feel like much better than the even volumes, just cause of that extra novel and all the even volumes are the ones that mostly talk lol.

How thick? It's the same thickness as the BD case. That is thick for a "mini novel" - it's basically the same thickness as a regular light novel.

I don't care about enough shows to know but do all BDs come with commentary tracks? I know Bakeonogatari had it and that's the last one I cared enough to keep track of these things. Supposedly, all even volumes will have the mini infodump thing ... also the booklet included in the odd volumes will explain the origin of the character songs etc. (apparently they're story related too ... in like vol 4 and part of the 4koma).

Well, my vol.1 bluray limited edition came today, and I'm enjoying the tunes that came on the CD. It should help tie me over to the delayed ost release. As for the episode itself it looks great but there's not much to say about it. The "mini novel" looks like it's gonna be a quick and fun read and the booklet is a nice summary of the setting and the characters and all that. Gonna be looking forward to the future bd releases!
