Please recommend something! I am a recent user of Bittorent so I only know of 2 series.

I love Sailor Moon, CardCaptor Sakura and love Mermaid Melody!(magical girl) and I also really liked Bottle Fairy and Di Gi Charat.(supercute)

I really dont like anime that is heavily geared towards guys - any kind of mecha, anything ecchi.....

Thank you for any suggestions!!!

ok let me think cute magical girl anime with no ecchi hmmm....

Try these, none have any ecchi the last time I checked.

Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto -Licensed

Nanaka 6/17-avaible on bt, has some magical girl elements.

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto-Licensed, about a young girl who undergoes training to become an mage, very heart warming. If you like action then best stay away from this one.

Puchi Puri Yuushi-avaible on bt, about a girl trying to become a princess.

Ultra Maniac-avaible on bt, a magical girl from the magical kingdom who lives as an human while searching for the holy stones to become the magical kingdoms princess.

Princess Tutu-avaible on bt, has fairy tale and ballet dancing elements, but the main heroine has magical powers.

Akage no Anne - don't forget this classic
Bottle Fairy
Candy Candy - 30 minute film
Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san
Daa! Daa! Daa! - early eps may be a problem
Full Moon wo Sagashite

Kasumin - only 1 ep so far
Kero Kero Chime
Kodomo no Omocha
Magical Angel Creamy Mami
Magical Fairy Persia
Mary Bell
Mizuiro Jidai
Munto - 40 minute film
Ocha-ken
Piano
Princess Tutu
Puchi Puri Yuushi
Rose of Versailles
Secret of Cerulean Sand
Selfish Fairy Mirumo de Pon!
Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar Special - series licensed
Tokyo Mew Mew
Tomorrow's Nadja
Twin Spica - new
Ultra Maniac
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

Many on this list are not magical girl but you may be interested in.

If you want more details on any of these series, we have links on AnimeSuki which point to a number of sites which provide short reviews and such. Have a look at the Series (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php) page and click on the appropriate series, this will then show what torrents are available as well as the links to places like AnimeNfo (http://www.animenfo.com/) and AniDB (http://anidb.ath.cx/).

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto - is that Someday's Dreamers? By the cover it looked like it may be like "Piano" (piano was pretty slow and uneventful...at least the 1st episode)

xris - thanks for pointing out links to Animenfo and so on. Belive it or not I never noticed those before...

My sugestions: (I know many already mentioned, but hey, this means many of us like thm ^_~*)

Full Moon wo Sagashite
Princess Tutu

These two are right know like my all time favorite anime series ^^!!

Also
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

IŽm currently trying really hard (well in patience :P) to get Ashita no Nadja but thereŽs not enough seeds T_T anyways! just by looking at the official site and knowing quite well Ojamajo Doremi (previous series of Izumi Todo, creator also of Nadja) I know IŽll definatedly like the show ^^

Yes it is, its not as actionless as Piano but its kinda slow. Its just a really nice anime series where you can sit back an relax, theirs really no real plot but every episode is very heart warming. It does deal with a girl who is training to become a mage so it kinda follows your search criteria.

Thanks everyone!!! I started watching Princess Tutu (and downloading Full Moon)

Princess tutu is sooo beautiful. Even though that its the most confusing thing I ever saw....lol. I really hope that it will get licenced (after I download it of course - it takes too long for them to release things). I would soo get it as a DVD!

I wish they would have a trailer for Someday's Dreamers...cause they are selling pretty nice set right now (i think its a series box...and smth else...) only prob. is money...

It was only mentioned once earlier, but I want to reiterate Ask Dr. Rin.
It's kinda like a Sailor Moon/Card Captor Sakura deal with a high school or junior high? setting.

Meirin, the main character, is fun, lively, and has a very interesting voice actress...reminds me of who did Full Moon Wagashite.
Her "magical power" is something that is practiced even today in every day life. She has a strong ability with Feng Shui. And has a one true love/Tukedo mask/Mamoru type already....

I believe Cardcaptor Sakura has been licensed for some time now. If you wan't to check to see if those animes are licensed or not you can check www.animenfo.com, www.animeondvd.com or animesuki's licensed list.

I think we should be able to suggest licensed anime as long as we mention it as such (if it's great it's worth a purchase or rental right??).

And just to be clear to new people: Don't download US-licensed anime! Check animenfo.com to be sure you're on the up and up, they usually seem to have the licensed ones labelled (under "US Distribution").

(everyone was nasty to me in the beginning when I accidentally got licensed stuff but nobody ever told me where to check!!!)

I've wanted Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto for a while, it looks cool, maybe I'll see if my video store has it. (we have the best video-store ever!)

Ooh, Mermer, you seem to have good taste!! :)

But for cute anime, I'd suggest Pita Ten...although, sometimes, it gets on my nerves. As for magical girl anime....I can go on and on.....

For the love of God, please don't buy it. I beg of you! After one episode I was trying to kill my brother for buying it. It's Sailor Moon, but with all SUCK. This anime isn't cute, it's annoying as hell. Don't waste your time with this f***en shit. I cannot stress that enough.

Suggestion: Magical Project S (AKA. Pretty Sammy TV.) It's licensed already and I've seen it all. I'm probably going to do a review soon.

Hime Chan no Ribbon.....Is magical Girl.

Rayearth (liscensed)

Sailor Moon, of course (Mostly Unlicensed)

Love Hina is cutesy to the point of being sickening....(imho) there is ecchi, but its soooooooooo mild, I wouldn't even count it....granted my idea of worthy of warning is urotsukiidoji, so....sigh.

OOOH Brother Dear Brother is so good. I never thought I would avidly watch anything involving sororities....but then again I've been known to be a big dyke. :heh:
