It all started when Yumi offered to do anything for Sei as a parting
gift.
Sei jokingly asked Yumi to kiss her mouth to mouth for a certain
scene. (It's one of those weird events happening at Lilian Jogakuen)
After much pondering (with it being her first kiss and all) she
decides to go with it, much to Sei's surprise.

Yumi ponders "well since, Rosa Gigantea is going away, I might as well give her what she wants. She is a nice person and..." Hence, she kisses Sei, but only to the side and a peck towards the cheek. The next day however, Yumi finds out Sei isn't "going away" like Rosa Foetida and Rosa Chinensis - Sei is going to Lillian University which is in the same compounds as the other Lillian schools. Yumi gets embarrassed for what she had done and pouts to Sei for not telling her that she's not going away too far.

ahh are you serious? man i can't wait to watch that part at least i hope they are gonna plan on showing it. eh so sei won't be leaving? yay i was so afraid i won't be seeing her anymore. ok now all that's left to do is wait.

I wished for a good second season and you say Sei will be near !!!! then I think the second season will be better than the first's one is.
I don't see a reason why this would be the major reason to see Season 2. It's more of a "peck to the cheek very close to the lips." To me this whole fuss about these things are just peculiar.
Probably the most important part would be when they get to the "Rainy Blue" and "Parasol o Sashite" arc of the novels. This is where a lot of things happens - Shimako chooses Noriko as her soeur, Yoshino joins the kendo club and gets into an argument (again) with an over-protective Rei, and the most largest part of all - Sachiko-Yumi soeur relationship crisis. Oh, and Touko, can't forget Touko.

umm who knows ..they might follow the novel..manga, or they might not
anime writers tend to twist anime, and SECOND season always fails
to attract more audience...

Do Yumi get a petite sour in her second year btw? It's kind of hard to imagine what kinda girl she would choose, maybe someone a bit more energic, like Yoshino. ^^;

you're right that is only one of the reason i want to see season two. the major reason i want to watch season two is b/c i can't seem to have enough of marmite. i dun know why but i just love it. i mean the art isn't like the anime nowadays but after you get past that you find the characters very lovable and can't have enough of it.
though from what you have said i can't wait to see yoshino join the kendo club hehe i wanna see how rei would react.

Check out the translated relationship chart in the Help on Mariasama ga Miteru thread (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=143710&postcount=14) (it's in the spoilers section). Kanako is the one directly beneath Yumi, and Touko is to the bottom left of Yumi's picture. Keep in mind that the original chart was a fan creation, so not all the relationships shown on there are necessarily correct.
