Just saw the raw... need to say, the end is so PERVERTED!!!
We get to see everyone's (almost) naked bodies except Sagara & Chidori at the end of the show...
What a nice finale to the anime !!! :naughty:

great.. i cant wait to see the finale .. i was thinking of something related to the title of this animation
Yea..this ending is definitely weird...
And I love the part where Sagara 'drags' Chidori into the room with beds with Chidori blushing and all. The final part where everyone is screaming makes me laughs like hell. What the hell happened to everyone's clothing! And yes, in the end, u get to see everyone naked except for Sagara and Chidori (who is hiding behind the curtains). Maybe Sagara knew what is gonna happen and bring Chidori to the room!
Well, let us hope that what I've seen in the other forum about Full Metal Panic series 3 is true....

The reason why Chidori is hiding behind the curtain is that she is naked too. You can clearly see her underwear lying on the bed while she wraps herself in a towel...

If it is really true, let's hope that it will be Full Metal Panic Fumoffu 2 instead of Full Metal Panic 2...
hmm.. nothing on their relationship at all?
very looking forward to it! haha

Well this was a crazy episode and it ended just as I predicted.
Nothing happens between Sousuke and Chidori. Chidori thinks Sousuke wants to sleep with her before everyone dies but its all just another misunderstanding.
Another great series over
i havent seen the raw yet but i wait for the subs to come out, i kinda knew this will happen too bad Sousuke and Kaname didn't hook up.

aw man... is that what really happens in the end... well... definitly not what i was expecting... i just thought it would end with Sousuke finaly understanding what Chidori felt and what not... stupid thick headed Sousuke... well i hope it is worth watching just hope i dont get into trouble by my mom who is also hooked on anime... well she did watch 13 but yea.... maybe a lill to far.... o well i still want to see the ending even if its gonna turn out like that... i wouldnt mind except that my mom would want to watch it too... so yea.... :(

Nonetheless, this is one of those crazy and funny ending.
Very nice indeed :D

i agree lol but then again doesnt everybody? lets hope there is a next season * crosses fingers and prays to god that there is one * hope its as good as the first season the way the ending sounds to fumoffu sounds so disapointing to how it should of ended but then again y not lol hehehe :innocent:
i don't know what you people were expecting, but hoping for romantic closure at the ending of this kind of series is like hoping for a random bolt of lighting to hit the chalk line X on that side walk at just the moment that your arch enemy is standing there: not likely gonna happen. the series had some focus on romantic relations; but the series definitely wasn't about romance, it was about comedy. and as far as funny endings goes, part 15 was a great way to go out.

You think we'll see bonta-kun again in the future?
Yeah...The ending is really strange, especially Issei-kun and the girl that keeps on pestering him (forgot her name) :D . And lets hope there will be a third series...provided that Sagara is still alive by the end of this series. I remember he mentioned something bout his life won't last long...And poor Chidori and Oren-san...luckily Sagara knew something and bring Chidori to the infirmatry and told her to take off her clothes...I really wonder if Sagara will still be alive...And what's the name of the virus again? "The Full Monty" virus. What the heck!? :hmm:
Oh man... I watched the raw (a first for me) and understood like 1% of everything they said. But just from the pictures I got a good idea of what was going on.
Best part has got to be the 10-hit paper fan combo Chidori lays on Souske! :D
And what the hell did she say during her speach with all the chocolates and cakes floating around?

Did you get the joke about "The Full Monty" virus ? Think hard dude. ( Hint : it's from a hit UK movie )
BTW i just saw the sub by AF & A-F. They did a good job as always. I think the ending of the series IMHO is great, tho i'm a little dissapointed with the lack of futher developement of the romance between sagara & chidori. But maybe as a consolation, the last series did give us the reason why Ren san always follow the President like a parasite. Let's cross our fingers & hope for another FMP or FMPf or both next year.

Well yeah, most people were hoping for a romantic closure to the series. This episode presented the perfect opportunity for Sagara and Chidori to express their feelings for each other since they both thought they were going to die. I couldn't think of a better way to force both of them to tell each other how they feel than this episode.
I was at least hoping for..
Chidori: Sagari, since where both going to die i have to tell you how i feel.
Sagara: what are you saying?
Chidori: Souske, i love you..
Sagara:..., Chidori i think i love you too..
*romantic kiss* ^^
Is something like that too much to ask for? Its not like i wanted them to strip butt neked and have hot monkey sex for hours using all the Kama-sutra positions or anything *even though that would have been nice*.
The episode itself was great. I was laughing my pants off. I'm just disspointed that its how the series ended.
Those damn writers are not making it easy for us to see Sagara and Chidori together, and they better make a season 2 (or 3 whichever way you look at it* because ending FMP! like this is just too cruel *sobs*

i just had to say my opinion on this.
FMP/F is one of my fav anime series. From the way series 1 ended, series 2 has done pritty much the same. Leaving it open for further development. i know most peeps wanted Chidori and Sagara to hook up, but it would have ended the chances of a third series. dont get me wrong, if it did happen, it would have made the best ending for the series. i think theres more and the best is yet to come.
come on 3rd series.

I don't know... I like the series' end the way it is right now. Remember, this -is- a side-story spinoff, and a comedy one at that- there would be no good reason for them to add a 'I wuv j00' at the end.
I -did- like how they brought out the side characters near the end. :heh:

Is something like that too much to ask for?
Yes, it would be asking too much. Setting aside the fact that it would pretty much change everything, the story is still on-going in the manga version; and I doubt they've even gotten to this stage in it yet (--I'll say that with confidence despite the fact that I haven't read past volume 2 of the 6 volumes I know to be available) so you really can't expect the anime to just go out on it's own volition and make up stuff.
Those of you romantically deprived should maybe check out some other series (KgNE comes to mind).
Does anyone know how popular this series was in Japan, if it was their is hope of a new season of either the continuation of fumoffu or of the first season. Whichever one wouldn't matter to me I just want more.

Well they don't have to make up anything since the manga was based on the novels so they can follow that. and half of the first series was made up of things thats not even in the novels so i don't see the big deal.

heh...
Sort of sad that even Fumoffu has to give off 'meaningless ecchi' at the end.
Still, it was really funny, especially how Chidori completely misunderstood Sousuke's intentions in the infirmary.
Hopefully there will be a sequel, though Fumoffu ending like this is tolerable.

One thing I didnt understand when I watched the raw was why Sagara asked Chidori to take her clothes off. I thought I missed something but after watching it fansubbed I guess I didnt. Did he know what the bacteria was when he read the manual and decide to take Chidori to the nurses room to protect her from embarrassment? If so, was the phone call just a confirmation? Or did he not know before hand and was prepared to spend their last moments together. Based on Sagara's past behavior I dont think the latter option is likely. bbbbuuuttt... you never know.
maybe they decided to leave out Kaname's and Sagara special confessions/romantic kiss because they plan on using it for their next season of FMP. I wish :)

I didn't understand this part either, but I think this chat log clears it up pretty well:
<Sargeras> well, he knew, but wasn't sure til he got the call
<Sargeras> but she didn't know
<Sargeras> cause he was reading the manual for like 10 mins of the ep
<Zarxrax> but why would he have her take her clothes off?
<Zarxrax> so they wouldnt fall off?
<Zarxrax> that doesnt make sense
<Sargeras> so they woulnd't disintegrate
<Sargeras> bodyheat was the catalyst

They wouldn't have ended it like that because as someone said before, all of these episodes are just side story stuff. Most of these stoires were based on the stuff in the magna that FMP left out. I think people keep forgetting that these are just side stories from the actual series.

There are 3 mangas.
Fmp! Fmp?F and FMP!2
So FMP?F isn't just "side stories" that the original FMP leftout...because clearly it's taking place AFTER the 1st series.

Well, I did purchase the first volume of FMP!, and there are some parts that are clearly from the original series (Panty theif), and some that are in the second series (blowing up the shoebox). My guess is that there are stories from both of the completed mangas in Fumoffu (series)

Would anyone agree with me that the series would have ended better if Ep 14 was the last instead of 15?
I mean, I lowered my expectations for a satisfying ending for Fumoffu but I still ended up being disappointed.
Well at least it wasn't like my FMP! season one ending reaction:

I agree that if there is another season this as a closer was fine. A little disappointed because I was expecting a continuation of the "relationship" between Sosuke and Chidori.
But it was fun.
I havent seen FMP yet but it does look like Chidori can handle herself in a fight too.
My only regret was that the goddess Tessa was not there so we could see her clothes disentigrate :innocent:
It was cute how Chidori thought that Sosuke was trying to have sex with her before they died. And you notice she did strip too.
Heres hoping for another season of Full Metal Panic
i must say.. hayashimizu-senpai was sooooo sweet and nice... haha~~
there wasn't going to be a romantic ending, if there was it would have been in fmp1

Was it just me, or did the music they had playing while the credits rolled sound a lot like the music from SD Gundam Counterattack?
Great way to end the series, but it needed to be longer.
The ending *chuckles* was funny
I didn;t expect the ending to be so lame
I Really hope they do make Season Three
the first season ending is how i would picture in other animes
Funniest anime episode ever, The first half was pure genius. As for romantic closure thats what OVA are for, they got a hit here they will milk it for all its worth so if not a third season an OVA.

:eyebrow:...ok the ending episode was just plain weird. The only parts that I really enjoyed were Chidori slapping Sagara like a piece of meat and the clinic scene. I felt real sorry Sagara though because he is so going to die. Amazingly, Chidori remained quite calm while everyone else wanted to beat Sagara to a bloody pulp. The luckiest person has to be the homeroom teacher who fainted because she didn't have to deal with the stress and frustration everyone else was experiencing. She was sleeping quite comfortably too. :) After watching the ending, I really don't want a FMP 3. :nono:
WOAH their teacher is HOT!!!
the ending was real funny, didn't expect it, although episode 14 would've made a better ending.
Ownadge as always :naughty:
The only complain I have is I expect the guys would want to thank Sagara. Some may be pissed by disintegrating plastic in their cameras and photo collection, but most should be busy looking...
thought the Full Monty-virus had another pun - FM virus - full metal! haha..
LOL every episode but this one had a wonderful twist to the show.
didn't think that chidori and sagara would have gotten together coz if they did, there wouldn't be a story for season 3. but their relationship did develop further when ... hmmm.
sagara held her hand and asked her to trust him
wonderful last ep for season2. it's painful to wait for the next season...whenever that may be.

There are? I thought there are just the graphic novels and the mangas(which are based on the novels) . Whats the deal?
What a great ending, so anti-climatict, starts off as a greek tradgedy and ends in total nudity :P What I don't get is why Sagara told chidori to take of her clothes before he phoned his armsdealer. Maybe he read something in the manual. And why his clothes under the NBC suit weren't destroyed.
I thought it was a decent enough ending. I still think that eventually Sagara will have to leave Chidori to go back to the submarine one day anyway, so its better the anime ends here before making us watch that. Sagara is still an on-duty military officer after all, so he can't just settle down happily-ever-after with Chidori.
I was a little suprised about how they ended up having the virus disintegrate clothes. Especially after he went through the trouble of shooting out the lock to the infirmary.
All in all, great comedy anime :), probably one of the best I've ever seen in its genre.

mangas are graphic novels in english
They dont call it a manga because non-anime fans might not know wat "manga" is
they dont call it comic book because its going to drive away manga fans thinking it might just be batman.
and its graphic novel since its about 200 pgs in chapters, and the pictures are graphics.

Not neccesesarily, the graphic novels are definately not just mangas or a different name for mangas. With FMP, the novels came out first, then the mangas, then the Anime or the other way around for the latter two.

i just looked at the site and it said, "the anime was based on the graphic novels"
graphic novels are mangas. Maybe there was a NOVEL that the manga was based on? its easy to confuse?
I just saw it and it felt like an appropriate ending for something that has no plot when it began. It makes me crave for more though. I can't wait for season 3, I hope there will be one.

Unless they plan a season 3, then, if that's the case, this ending is okay.

yeah it wasn't much for an ending, I had preferred some more "love" between Chidori and Sagara or something but no luck there. I was quite surprised though, I was waiting for the real effect of the virus to come out but I didn't expect this one at all :heh:
Would 've been cool if they all turned into bonta-san or something :)
Ah well, season three, so long before we get there :'(

What a great ending, so anti-climatict, starts off as a greek tradgedy and ends in total nudity :P What I don't get is why Sagara told chidori to take of her clothes before he phoned his armsdealer. Maybe he read something in the manual. And why his clothes under the NBC suit weren't destroyed.
First of all, how do you know that Sagara's clothes weren't destroyed. Second of all, a NBC suit would protect Sagara from the effects of Full Monty, especially if he put it on as fast as he did.

Ok, about the ending i thought it was great. Letting it end as a comedy is a great way to go and leaves room for more development, plus it kinda layed down a foundation for an even greater build up of events, because even if you guys think that fumoffu doesnt really affect the story of FMP it kinda builds character development and helps describe each and every character in more detail, so there is a good purpose to fumoffu.
This is what i dont get tho, how come no one has mentioned how weird the relationship between Mikihara Ren and Hayashimizu Atsunobu is, shes like how old and how old must he be? ... is that legal?
this is a great end to the fumoffu series... although i still think ep 5 with the scary chainsaw guy was the scariest (no particular connection)
does anything *good* happen in tsr? (i still havent watched it yet... *sad*)

Lol to the end of fumoffu it was odd no one worried about what was in the bottle they could made a whole episode about what was in the bottle but what i didnt get is when every1 in the class jumped him I swear i coulndnt stop laughing i thought that he was dead since it was the last episode or something if i was in that situation i would just freak out also id want to die the same way as kaname chidori but whenever Sousuke won I thought it was Ironic or something damn that must have sucked horribly for them seriously but when it broke I was all like HA HA HAAA!!!! Once Sousuke took chidori into the clinic that conversation made me think the hell did they actually do it or what??? hope not. Once they were outside i was like so this isnt a half bad way to end it but then i was laughing my ass off i think theres some word that summes it up but oh well and i was all like wat a twist and then did you see the karate guy i just loved that now when Sousuke says and i quote "My life will not last long." that was a funny part hey look around how did they no it was Sagaras fault anyways dont you think that was a bit odd that they found that out that fast damn rumors do spread fast in school Oh yeah encase you forgot did they have love wink wink in the clinic.
Sorry if that wasnt that good i just rambled on about stuff that didnt make sense i didnt stay on one thing but i think that sums up the episode BYE Good Night

Well it seems some of you are in the dark about if Fumoffu is a side story or anything else. Well to clear it up, Yes Fumoffu are side storys. The Full Metal Panic series are based off the Light novels made by Gatoh Shoji, There are 19 novels out right now(Correct me if i'm wrong) the last one is being made due release around September I believe. 9 of the novels are the Main plot(FMP! and FMP! The Second raid for anime), 10 of them are the side storys(Where fumoffu gets the episodes from). Since the anime only covers 5 of the novels, there is still 5(including the in-the-making novel) novels to which they can make an anime. So I hope this clears up any confusion! :D
You can find most of this here http://www.omnilinkavstudios.com/FMPFAQ/ Although, it's missing the last novel(#19), Come make my day.
And yes, Ep 15 was a very funny episode! :p
Oh, and for those of you wanting romantic type stuff, there's that in the novel, so fear not! I really hope they animate the COMO scene, for those of you who know what I'm talking about! :naughty:
fumoffu is one of the best damn comedy around
