There are no sites at all, where you can find out some more about him, or how he got on the idea to "start creating Naruto".
Does anny of you guys know more about him?

My goodness, that was really helpful! Thanks RDM2 and kaoru for providing some additional information. ^^
This is Kishimoto Masashi:
http://server6.uploadit.org/files/greatvicious-kishi2.jpg
He's still young, and his first official work is Naruto. Kishimoto was born in Katsuta, Japan. He and his twin brother (Kishimoto Seishi) loved to draw, even though Kishimoto used to be more concentrated in sports. Later on, he began focusing more on drawing, and entered an art college to start his mangaka career.
Kishimoto won the Shueisha's Hop StepHe won the Shueisha's Hop Step award with the one-shot "Karakuri". It was in 1997 that he began Naruto, with the one-shot, in Akamaru Jump. However, he left Akamaru Jump and redid Naruto, being picked by Shueisha in 1999. Since then, the "official" Naruto as we know it today began being released weekly in Shonen Jump, together with big hits like One Piece and Shaman King. Today, Naruto is one of the most popular Shonen in Japan, along with One Piece.
Works that influenced Kishimoto were, first of all, Akira. When he saw Akira, he decided he wanted to be a mangaka. It was probably the anime/manga that had the biggest impact in his life, along with Toriyama Akira's works. Kishimoto was, like the majority of new shonen mangaka todays, influenced by Toriyama Akira's works (specially Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball). He was also influenced by Watsuki Nobuhiro's Rurouni Kenshin.
PS. It's curious to note that his brother, Kishimoto Seishi, also followed the mangaka career. His first official work is called 666 Satan, and it's currently being published in Japan. It's not as good as Naruto, but it's still interesting. It's currently being scanslated by Toriyama's World (http://www.toriyamaworld.com).

The nickname "Naruto-sempai", which I was given, isn't there for nothing after all ;)

If you mean a manga freak, you can be sure about that ;)

There's a lot of information in those interviews previously posted in this thread, try reading them. Everything was in them except: Since then, the "official" Naruto as we know it today began being released weekly in Shonen Jump, together with big hits like One Piece and Shaman King. He was also influenced by Watsuki Nobuhiro's Rurouni Kenshin
But like Nine Devil said, Vicious is just creepy w/ that knowledge of his :)
There's a whole bunch of other stuff on www... too.
I suggest you remove that link before the mods do. :uhoh:

Why...whats wrong with the link? :uhoh:
Ah well...i guess i'll do it anyway.
The site you linked to contains illegal (licensed) material, which is against the forum rules. Same thing with the TW-link I think...

the TW and brainfart.org link both contain the manga, since brainfart is their other domain.
If it's on TW, it's gotta be okay. Also Kishimoto goes into a lot of detail about his early life in the Naruto volumes. Particularly in the ones TW translated, they translated his comments about his childhood and smearing poop all over the walls and so on and so forth. -__- Also, in his author's comments on the flaps of the tankoubon, he often talks about films and how much he likes them, I think he's a huge movie fan.
Wow thankz everyone for all the information about Hisashi Kishimoto and his plans for the future; I red all posts and interviews....Now I know a lot more about him!
If someone has some additional information, please share it with me! I really like to learn more about Kishimoto Masashi and his future plans.
Now i've got another question; do u know anyting about how long Naruto will continue as a serie and how many eps. there will be? If you know what Kishimoto Masashi has said about this please tell me. :) :) :)
:innocent: :innocent: :D :D

Where do you get that logic from? TW translates the naruto manga, which is lisensed here in america - much like many of their other projects - and as such arent allowed to be posted, according the the rules dranz and NoSanninWa made for these forums.
Do not ask for licensed anime or manga
As described in Fansubbing and Licensing fansubs are technically illegal as they breach copyright. However as AnimeSuki.com does not wish to be associated with piracy, discussions about unlawfully getting licensed anime or manga or even DVD rips are not allowed. This means it is not allowed to post links to sites with such licensed material or ways to obtain it illegally, or ask for links or instructions to be emailed or PM'ed to you. Threads which break this rule will be either closed or simply deleted.

From TW:
Toriyama's World translated 105 chapters of the Naruto manga, and then it was licensed by Viz. If you want to read it, pick up the English version of Shonen Jump or wait for the books. The manga is not available for download.
Let's get back on-topic please :)

Nobody knows how long it will be. There are lot of story threads still to be explored, and Kishimoto-sempai has not eluded to any length as of yet. I suspect the story is still in its infancy.
Also, your signature is nearly five times that of the maximum size allowed on the forum (50kB). I can hear the screams of 56k users across the globe from here :|
Ah. thanks for clarifying that.
now let's get back at the subject; Kishimoto Masashi..

I don't think this much asked question has been answered yet. But as far as the storyline goes there seems to be much that still needs to be covered before it has change of ending nicely. Not to mention that there are still about 80 manga chapters to cover and that hasn;t been finished yet so I expect the series to keep going on for a while.

Did you just ignore GreyArea's answer? That is sooooo disrespectful :nono:... Maybe you didn't notice that it had suddenly become 2 pages.. :uhoh:

All I can say thank god this isn't a baseball manga :p
link removed
Alot of info on that page.
All I can say is: REMOVE THE LINK. There's nothing wrong with the info it is just that it contains the licensed manga and is thus forbidden. When will people learn that NFan is forbidden. I got it when reading the forum rules and the code of conduct. Hey wait... maybe people aren't doing that.
This thread is usefull though. I've learned a lot about Naruto from it.

Yeah...no I didn't ignore him....that would have been an ashole prank....no, I posted it again, because they where talking and posting about something that didn't had anything to do with the subject, but when I posted it again, I saw there was allready an answer....I didn't ignore him, but I also didn't feel like deleting my just posted things.....Understand....I'm sorry, but I never mend to insult or disrespect anyone....
All I can say thank god this isn't a baseball manga :p
Haha lol. Really....he did make one, but it turned out to be a failure...(like baseball manga disurves...haha.....kidding...)

Wow, a baseball manga could work on so many levels!
Calamity befalls your team mates?
I'm sorry but you can't play with just one pla.. KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU !
So on etc etc...
This thread is usefull though. I've learned a lot about Naruto from it.
That's also why I started this thread; I think there's much more to lurn about Naruto, by knowing the inspirations and plans of the artist....Me too lurned a lot........So everyone share your knowledge with everybody!
Does anyone know some specific informaton about Kishimoto Masashi's future as mangaka AFTER NARUTO? ; If he's going to draw more manga or not, or that he is now already busy with another new serie....?

How can he be busy with another project when he's still doing Naruto? Mangakas rarely write two mangas at once (well, we could say they never do that, after all). So no, he's not busy with another project now.
But he's eager to begin a new project when Naruto finishes, as he said once in an interview. So expect a new manga by him soon after Naruto ends :D
As Kishimoto pointed out in the manga, in those front/last pages with interviews, sketches and other special stuff; he, before starting Naruto, worked on some early sketches of a mafia manga which he would call "Mario". He also implied that it was the "best manga he has ever created". Here's the "Mario" sketch he presented in the Naruto manga (http://galeon.com/greatvicious/kishimario.jpg). Maybe he'll continue "Mario" when he finishes Naruto, or maybe he'll begin a totally new manga.
Vicious, I was going to say all that. :( waaaaah, I wanted to say it!!! :heh:

if you were linking to the manga sections about kishimoto, toriyamaworld has them... i forget if THAT is off-limits, but it doesnt carry licensed manga.
One might also add that Kishimoto loves ramen. On one of the volume flaps he talks about one of aunts calling to scold him for eating so much ramen and not eating more veggies. :heh: On another volume flaps, he seems to have acquired quite a taste for fugu dishes. Hope he doesn't get poisoned...*touches wood* (mmm, woody)
One might also add that Kishimoto loves ramen.
Haha really..? Well, I thought Masashi Kishimoto was everyone but Naruto, but now it turnes out that somehow he is like Naruto anyway... :) :) :heh:
:heh: No wonder that they post up his profile in the beginning of each U.S graphic novel, and that they have that Ichiroku Ramen restaurant pic as well.
Can't believe I forgot to add this, Kishimoto Masashi got married quite recently (I wonder if the chicks is hot...). I guess this means that instead of working on Naruto like a good boy, Mr Kishimoto is going to be spending his weeks off making little Kishimotos with Mrs Kishimoto. :naughty: Gambare Kishimoto-sensei!!
:heh: True. But I think the fans would probably be disapointed to know that there wouldn't be anymore chapters.
I was kidding. :heh: That is he did get married but it doesn't seem to have affected his work any. Although recently I've been getting suspicious...<_< >_>
:heh: You had me worried there. It'd also be cool if we got to see his early version of Naruto get translated as well.

Kishimoto also worked on Dragonball.
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, but Naruto wears orange and blue....same colors as Goku.

He's never worked on Dragonball.
Although, he did do a fanart of Goku and Krillin.

Yupyup you're right....He certainly NEVER worked on dragonball...in all of the interviews in this thread he (masashi kishimoto) sais that he respects dragonball verry verry much and that he thinks that Akira Toriyama is sort of the Guuru of manga...(well he doesn't say it like this, but sort of...). He sais he was inspired a lot by dragonball and the work of Toriyama..so that makes clear and shows he has never worked on dragonball.... :)

but his hair is yellow, and his eyes blue. un-goku like.
you could draw the same paralell between Robin (WHR) and Dua MAxwell just because they wear black... except it makes no sense.

No, actually it could make sense. Manga artists are known to pay homage to the other artists and series that inspired them. Naruto's colors could be a homage to Goku from Dragonball in that sense. Kishimoto has stated that Akira Toriyama was big influence for him. The characters don't have to be carbon copies.
(I just love that joke Kishimoto made about how Naruto's hair and clothes are silly colors for ninjas that are supposed to blend with the shadows hehe. :) )
Who was the dude with the Naruto avatar that looked suspiciously like Goku going SS?

Yeah. I think you're right. It cannot be coincedent. It's probably an homage yes.........no much new to say...just think you're right. :heh:
Sorry for the revival of this thread but I thought it was a bit useless to create a new thread for this question. Since I'm writing an editorial on Kishimoto I would like to include a picture of him. But I haven't been able to find one of him. So quess what, I'm asking if anyone of you guys got an image of him or know somewhere where I can find one of him. (and no, Saying Google, Altavista or anything like a search engine is not funny and not helpfull. So don't even think of it.)

But.. when was it said that Sasuke was associated with a frog and Sakura with a snail.. even if it was said, wouldn't Sakura be associated with a slug.. ? Haha, and 90% of the letters are girls.. >.<
And.. the Make Out Paradise.. I thought it was called something else..? Was it Come Come Paradise..? Funny how Kishimoto's reaction was "NEVER"
