"Syosetsuka ni narou" (小説家になろう) or translated as "Let's become a novelist" is a web-novel posting site. With some publishing light novel companies printed several titles, I think this site need to be recognized more. Who knows? you might find any interesting title here and then find that its adapted into other media (Hopefully). Some titles from this site that has been published: Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, Log Horizon, Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, Next Life, Mushoku Tensei -Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu, Re: Zero Kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu, Nee-chan wa Chuunibyou!, etc etc

This thread is for discussing several other titles that doesn't have their specific thread. Feel free to discuss, suggest, introduce, or talk anything else about Syosetsuka here.

As a start, I'll introduce one title which is quite new and I really loved this one

Majima Takahiro didn't know if he is lucky or unlucky. Suddenly transported to a forest, he and the other students and teachers are soon attacked by a dragon. He is pushed back by the masses and falls down. When he was about to accept his death, one student managed to kill that dragon with one attack, and he is saved, thanks to luck. Students and Teachers start to gather and to survive in what they perceived as another world, they decided to work together and make a settlement there. They called themselves as "Colony". The colony are divided into 2 group: Exploration Group (around 300) who possessed "Cheat Ability" and Resident Group who didn't (around 700). Unluckily, Takahiro are one of the latter. One weeks had passed, and the Exploration Group decided to start an expedition with mission: to find a way out from the forest and meets with resident of that world. But unlucky tragedy happened, as soon as half of Exploration Grop depart, several members of "Exploration Group" who stays behind, start a coup d'etat and as a result, annihilated the only place they can live in. That day, the Colony is gone, a violent fight occured between 2 parties, and the "Resident Group", who didn't possessed any power to fight, are forced to run. The tragedy didn't stop, victim of the uproar started to appear between "Resident Group" and some of them started to assault the others, Takahiro are one who is attacked, by his own classmates. He falls to the ground, and by luck, didn't get killed. He then run and loiter in the forest for 3 days, before he finally found a cave in the morning to shelter himself. His body injured and fatigued from stress and hunger, his mind wounded, which started to hollow from sense of powerlessness and being betrayed, he then realized: that human being are just trash, he can never and ever believe humans. In that state, a monster approached him, a slime... closing on his hand, the slime attempted to swallow him. Finally realizing that his luck may have just run out, he squeeze out his feelings, "......Someone, please help me"

This is the story of a fantasy, of a human, and his "family", finding the light of love and trust even if the light was surrounded by the darkness of human hearts.

Another Tenshou, I wonder why this theme of "transported to another world" is so popular? I also wonder why some titles have similar setting? but I don't care about it anymore, as long as the story good, I'm in! To me, reading a story is like eating a cake (I love cake~ :meh:) as long as it's delicious, the topping doesn't really matter be it tenshou, tensei, or Isekai :smile:

Why do I like this title? Fantasy is a man romance they say, and then the theme about human hearts, and then the Heroines are just cute~~ :hyper-^v^:

My search keywords usually are: fantasy, ongoing, arranging from title with the most evaluation or arranging from title with the most unique users.

He develop a PTSD from the event and unable to trust human, along his journey, he will meet new family member, and also people from his school. His journey is not just to survive, but also to fix his problem. His family will also faced problem about "emotion" and "feeling" (granted by Takahiro power) and learn more about this "feeling", as they grow humanly.

Second title that I recommend to read.

Among the class that was transported to another world, Nagumo Hajime is an ordinary male student who doesn't have ambition nor aspiration in life, called by his classmates as "Incompetent". The class is summoned to become heroes and save a country from destruction, students of these class are blessed with cheat specs and cool job class, but that's not the case with Hajime, his job class is a "Synergist" and his stats are very normal (mediocre). "Synergist", to put it in another word is just artisan class. Being the weakest, he then falls to the depth of the abyss when he and his classmates are exploring a dungeon. What did he find in the depth of the abyss and can he survive?

This is my most favorite title that I really liked right now (with Monster no Goshujin-sama as the second). Lots of templates, but it didn't reduce the enjoyment of reading this!

This is the story of Souma who uses the world bugs against it's inhabitants and gaining fame for himself.

Comedy fantasy story. The idea is unique, and it's quite funny, I laughed quite a lot when I read this.

Okay, you might have realized from the synopsis that this title is different from what I have introduced before, but I'll say it anyway: this title is dark, so beware. In short, this is about siblings who sold their soul for revenge: the sister became sadistic and vengeful, the brother became cold and emotionless. These siblings create a dungeon, gathering monster, killing any intruders to train the monster they gathered, capturing the useful ones to work for them, and then raise them into army to defeat the enemy and bring upon them retribution. Alphapolis is going to publish this, and set to be released february (or maybe march?), illustrator is still unknown.

"I don't believe you, I'm not friend with them, It's not my business, and I'm an ordinary person who cares for his life, so bye", and he set for his own journey. Little does other knows, that this ordinary person, Hiiro, actually hides a power which could change the world!

Yeah, the usual gimmick of Tenshoku. The plot is light, simple and straightforward, protagonist adventuring, learn about his power, dragged into war of races, slowly became the true hero the world need. Protagonist? Awesome, he is cool and arrogant and badass and incarnation of OP and wear glasses. Lastly, I ROFLed at the harem~

the magic in that world is divided into 3 types:
Normal Magic: Usual elemental magic
Unique Magic: special magic, like dancing, illusion, dream.
Absolute Magic: Stronger version of Unique Magic, bypass Anti-magic.

Basic of Magic, the important thing is imagination and controling MP. If something wrong happened, the user will receive penalty called [Rebound], death is possible. Magic are not all-purpose. The power Hiiro got is called Word Magic, he can create anything he imagine while writing the kanji that represent it. For example: if he wrote 「炎」 which is the kanji for flame, he can create fire. At first, his magic is limited, but as he get stronger, his magic restrictions are lifted one by one. His magic is all-purpose, and truly the incarnation of cheating.

He asked Lily to process Miho body, which result in Lily gaining Miho appearance and memory. Lily is a cheerful and beautiful girl, also a big-sister figure in the family. Deep down, she is envious to Katou Mana, another girl student who travelled along with them. The reason of her envy is caused by the complex of "not-fully human" despite taking the form of human, and she is scared of being abandoned by Takahiro. After the confrontation against Mana, it is hinted she is slowly taking the personality of Miho.

The second heroine is Rose: A magical puppet. Her appearance is a boorish wooden mannequin with no face. Her ability is "Magic Smithing", she can create weapons, armors, and forged them with magic. Mana teach her to understand about "desire and wish" as part of being human. Rose admitted to Mana, she wishes to be hugged by Takahiro, Mana then supports her by saying that she only have to be cuter. The third heroine is Gerbera: An Arachne. High monster, taking the form of half woman-half spider, with white as her color, and red as her eyes color. At first she is the enemy of Takahiro and "his family", intended to monopolize Takahiro for herself, but Mana confronts her directly and told her that being happy is not only "to love but also be loved back". A sweet childish female who tried her best to learn things other than violence. The type to easily let her mind slip from her mouth, and then getting embarassed by it.

With these heroines, particularly Rose, we might hit the uncanny valley. Empathy takes a sharp drop just before something reaches being human and rises again as it get closer. How are they power-wise?

I was referring to how some of these would-be jerks rampaged and destroyed the village. Were their motivations ever explained?

The Breakdown of "the colony" is caused by coup d'etat, reason: dunno, but they might be unsatisfied with how things going. The situation becames worse, with normal students attack the other normal students as well, either killing male, or raping female. That day, the civilized turns into uncivilized, resorting to "survival of the fittest". No wonder Takahiro developed PTSD and unable to believe other humans anymore.

This title puts emphasis on Psychology part, but still has some battle scenes, although not as intense as the usual fantasy story.

Gahh need to use GT even more now.

Hmm, He still have to write it. But the number of Kanji he can write is increased, or using kanji simultaneously, etc.

That one comedy, I read it as a snack between serious stuff (Lately, I've been reading only serious stuff :heh:)

Yeah, Word Master is similar to Tate Yuusha in plot device, but that's it. Differences, in Word Master: plot is a bit lighter but does not lack plot twist, Hiiro luck is not bad like Naofumi.

Mana is more like a sub-character that help Main characters develop. She knows Miho and become her friend, she then lost her, and raped. She is saved by Takahiro, but Takahiro, Lily, Rose didn't trust her. Mana is envy of the bonds between Takahiro and his family. She actually want to join the circle, because she is the only one not considered as friend by Takahiro and his family. She is quiet, but very perceptive of other feelings, this trait of her help her gain trust and become friend with Rose, but not with Takahiro, since Takahiro himself has PTSD. Also, her stare sometimes can raise boogies to others.

This guy is worse than Naofumi. At first, Hiiro didn't have harem, unlike Taishi ( one of the 4 heroes, the other three are girls) who has harem (and also Title as Harem Creator). Another Tenshou, I wonder why this theme of "transported to another world" is so popular? I also wonder why some titles have similar setting? but I don't care about it anymore, as long as the story good, I'm in! Normally only licensed and illegal content like raws and scans. ncode.syosetu is a public free to read site. Even for those newly licensed series, if the web version of the novels are yet to be removed from the site, it's legal to read them (from the website) for all. As long as it's legal and no unauthorized infringement, it's okay.

Im reading the Word Master WN right now, and I just got to the part where the MC completely browbeats the "heroes"(his classmates) with their lack of skepticism. Harsh, but appropriate. The series as a whole is ok, but not as good as the Mushoku Tensei title or Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou imo.

I agree with you. Plot wise, the story is straightforward and lighter. It's steady with interesting characters, and cool protagonist ("There's nothing impossible for me to do!"), but not on the same level as mushoku tensei and arifureta. Another good thing from this, is about magic, magic is strong but dangerous at the same time, "rebound" is a good thing to remind about that. Author thought the story quite well~

I liked Arifureta, but the way this protagonist just lucks into power irks me. There is no training, skill, or cunning of his own. He wins his fights so far through sheer luck. Talk about unappealing. I could buy the whole getting more attractive thing, but him being a bore wasn't fixed. He has no real personality to me.

It also goes way beyond "game-like." Defeated monsters turn into gold, items, and skill cards. Like, what?

There is also the gorilla thing. Yeah, Saria somehow gets the power to turn into a perfect 10 woman through the power of love. Blegh.

The knight used his power to make the girl submit to him and he treated them like dogs. 2 of the male survivors are brought in front of the Prince and Princess. One of the guy become a subordinate (thanks to his resourcefulness) in exchange for the Prince to spare the girls live. The other guy (who is so scared and begs for his life) is presented to the goblins, who happily accept it (He is tortured as part of revenge, and end up became goblins food). Impressive. Top be honest, I thought they were going to fool around with silly adventures like in Zvezda. So is this new subordinate planning on double-crossing the siblings or what? I hope not.

No, they are not, because they are powerless and wouldn't try stupid things. The guy who became their subordinate, at first felt forced, but as time goes, he started to be enchanted by both of them and thought that he must have been corrupted. He wants to convince them that revenge is not the only way but seeing that both of them didn't yield to his persuasion, he gave up. As for the siblings, both of them already sold their soul and became inhuman for the sake of revenge. Their reason to live are revenge, therefore they will continue to spread the flame of revenge, and will not end until either Underground Empire, or Saint Kingdom burned to ashes.

Yeah, I read that, 10 or so chapters and stopped, reason: Protagonist is dull, or at least that's my initial impression. The story: The protagonist had enough of his life, so he decided to do a suicide. By chance he discover a site which could "Send the player to a world of game". without second thought, he decided to create his own character and "poof!", there he goes to world of game. At first his mind is hazy, he found himself in a barn, then there's bandits attacking town, he then killed 3 or 4 peoples (his mind still think it's game) however after feeling the real sensation and he can't logout, he decided it's not game (also reminded of the notice before he enter the game world "that he cannot return back"). He then decided to live in this world to the fullest.

I've read to the part where he moved to the big city, and found a Slaves shop, he wanted to buy one but doesn't have enough money. Talking about ability, the protagonist receives: "Ability to read status either people or thing" and "Ability to change class or title" and other game system abilities like opening menu, accessing inventory items, learn, equip and unequip skills, allotting experience points, etc. He also receives bonus items from start (special weapon with high stats). Another impression I got is: icha-icha rom-com?

The protagonist is dull, there's no special thing about him that I like (just my subjective opinion tho'). Well, since this title is published by Hero Bunko, I'm planning to read it again, maybe this time I will found the charm of this title? He then learn a lot from the memories of the said boy: he was born as the youngest child (8th son and 10th children) of poor noble family living in backcountry. Having no administrative skill, he can't do anything to manage the vast land his family have. Fortunately, he is blessed with a very rare talent, talent of magic. Unfortunately, while his talent could bring prosperity to his family, in his situation it will only brought disaster. Yes, this is the story of the boy, Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister, opening his own path in harsh world.


This is the most complicated Narou title that I have read. Complicated as in hard to tell the value of this title, It's interesting, but also uninteresting. In short this title tell the story of a boy blessed with very rare talent, but is born in difficult situation. Wendelin is the youngest son and was never hoped to be useful to his family. Although a noble, his family are very poor, even though the territory of Baumeister are large, they don't have funds nor manpower to cultivate them, moreover, their land are infested with monsters and dangerous animals. The villagers hate his father, due to his failure that led to their falls. The most fortunate thing Wendelin have is the talent of magic, but... this talent could lead to dispute inside and outside of his family. Therefore, his parents just let him do as he likes (more like, ignoring him) and he hid his talent, living the role of lazy and selfish boy, while preparing himself to set his foot outside the cage.

Fantasy world with monsters and magic. This story are not focused on adventuring, but more on the relationship, conspiracy, and politics of nobles in that world. It has some fighting scenes which unfortunately are not that good. The flow of story is like flat road with small bumps here and there, however it strangely draws you in to keep reading. By the way, at first I was surprised to see that earlier chapter are short in text, and then it get longer and longer and later, the amount text for just one chapter is just...... wow.

Again, I just want to say that this title might be interesting, or uninteresting depending on reader taste, as for me, I guess I like this~ :smile:

Ah! yeah, this title is gong to be published by MFBooks, and I really really expect a lot from Fuji Choco (Miss Fable of Armas Gibble), I really love her illustration with wonderful setting~

It seems Fujimi fantasia decided to publish titles monthly starting from this march. They already select 6 titles in their lineup (up until August). Can't wait for Konjiki Word Master~!

And finally I found a title which is not the usual templates that I read (but still template on it's own). It still new, so there's not much chapters yet, a sneak peek of the story:

Final Quest is a famous VRMMORPG with medieval setting, one of it's player, Yamada Shinichi [Shin First] is watching a battle royale between 4 of his party: magician Mana, elven archer Rule, Thief Mel, and Lancer Akira. they fought to decide who is going to marry Shin's. After the battle, Akira comes out as winner, however... Akira is a guy, and a gay as well. Thinking that it marriage with no love, Shin agreed to the proposal. One week later, Mana, Rule and Mel wanted to marry Shin as well, and Shin entered Bigamy relationship with 4 of them. This anger Akira and another dispute breaks which cost the lives of 107 players. To settle the "Carnage of Love", Shin must choose one of them as his legal "wife" and his first step, is to attend their party first offline meeting.

And impression: typical netoge but more focused on shuraba and comedy (off course~). This kind of title tend to appeal the characters, which in my opinion, is quite fresh.

- Mana traits are "domineering ojousama-tsundere-patient of love-M gap-pettanko"
- Rule traits are "calm oneesan-madly in love-half foreigner-bakunyuu-yandere"
- Mel traits are "innocent youjo-energetic-jailbait"
- Akira traits are "Hentai-cool and manly-bold and daring-gay"

Rule yandere-ness and referee play placed her as the second, while Akira cool but daring advance and hentai gap makes 'him' a great nocturn material which placed 'him' as my number one favorite character of this title. Author is quite good with comedy especially nocturn one which cracked me up, his previous title are also the same, having good comedy (that "yaranaika" is just LOL). Also, his yandere characters are always charming~ I'll be looking forward to his next updates

I've got a rec of my own. Been going down the ranking list to find one that looks interesting, and today I read 異世界で強くなりながらニューゲーム. GT translates this as New Game while becoming strong in another world, which is probably inaccurate, but its the best I've got.

It's not exactly excellent yet, but it is kind of noteworthy for doing something new with a template. The premise is a combination of "summoned to another world" and a "time loop". Obviously neither of the two are new, but I've never seen them combined quite like this. Makoto(the MC) relives the day before his summoning as part of the loop, so he has access to modern books and tools if he can get to them. Despite the possibilities, he doesn't have access to modern weapons, so he is stuck learning the sword and spear for the moment.

There isn't really any happy go lucky harem hijinks if your wondering, at least so far. The time loop just offers the author more cruel ways to kill characters. Its really pretty damn morbid tbh.

EDIT2: My only problem with it so far is that the MC advances way too fast. He still isn't beyond amateur, but he is already physically much stronger than he was starting out and its only been a couple loops so far. There might be an explanation later, but the protagonist doesn't seem to think its suspicious that he is practically twice as strong as he was a week before. I wish exercise was that convenient. Oh, and it seems one of the potential love interests got brought into the time loop somehow when he accidentally killed her. His super bitch summoner teleported him a mile into the air and she tried to catch him, which killed them both instead of just him. I don't mind the idea of another looper, but I wanted more time for Makoto to become stronger first. Then again, its not confirmed whether she will keep her memories every time or not from now on or just the once.

EDIT3: Holy shit, that psychopathic BITCH! Ok, she is fucking evil and Makoto needs to work out a way to kill her in one of these loops. For now though, he needs to either keep him mouth shut or escape at the beginning of loops in the near-future. If he wasn't close to broken already, his mental state probably went down the gutter after being dissected while alive. He needs to just skip the talk and cut her head off in the future, i'm serious.

This chapter was from the POV of the girl he crashed into before, who used her "prophetic dream" to try to save him. Too bad the bitch had already messed him up something bad.

This is getting kind of interesting in a creepy way.

Finally finished reading several titles until the latest chapter.

First: Isekai de Tsuyoku Narinagara New Game, this title is too serious and gloomy (compared to Re:Zero), well, a "good" torture for reader, since we will ask "when he is going to go musou!?".

While Makoto did become stronger and raised his level: I think he is still pretty weak, considering he has low stats than norms and low experience and I guess that will not really change much for at least 6-8 chapters... The appearance of Marie change things though. With characters that have deep connection keep appearing (Makoto's father, Shidou; Arisa) I'm eager to see how they will meet again, and how the story will develop from that. By the way, I hate orcs.

Second: Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku, the first narou title going to be published by Fujimi Fantasia and released this month. It tells the story of Satou, a staff programmer suddenly entered a world of game... or maybe another world and goes on an adventure there.

Story wise, it's kind of honobono, wandering from city to city, so the pacing of story is kind of slow. Then, is there any plot other than just adventuring? Yes there is, but it revealed slowly. At first I have little bit difficulty reading this, dunno why (maybe it's problem of adjusting to writing style). There are also intermissions and SS that implement the story which is interesting ^_^

Protagonist wise, Satou is a gentlemen, calm and mature. He starts very strong, so there's no complain on his ability. I'm very glad he is a Magic-Knight type~ This guy lacks desire most of time, so it will be hard for girls who locking on him
As far as I know, there are... umm, more than 10 girls that falls in love to him, more than 20 girls that like him and more than 100 girls who is interested to marry him

Character wise, I think what interest me the most are the personality of the girls around him. Almost all of the main characters are cute and interesting: Alisa, loli shotacon; Lulu, ganbaru-ko; Pochi & Tama, duo energetic kemona; Liza, cool nikudere; Meeya, taciturn kuudere; Nana, innocent girl, etc, etc. I get most of laugh from them. These girls also grows to be strong and helpful to Satou (but of course, Satou is the strongest).

Overall, this title is interesting for adventure type, uum, I guess I'll rate this 7 or 8 out of 10.


Next is latest update from other titles:
After almost-death-experience of Takahiro, Lily and Rose patched their relationship with Gerbera. Lily states that even though they are enemies before, they are family now and Gerbera is her cute little sister, so she will believe her. Rose who reject Gerbera the most, also acknowledge Gerbera as her little sister. Then, the next chapter, Takahiro feels that he is a failure as a leader. Lily console and convince him that she will always follow him, for what he is. This helped him to reshape himself and not shouldering everything alone. In the end, Takahiro indeed didn't go back empty handed as another family members showed up: parasitic plant (no.4) and Balloon Fox Child (no.5). As usual, I love the expression of characters and I can really feel their emotion. Can't wait for next chapter at Friday to see the new monsters~!

Tsukkomi manzai! I ROFLed at the new stats after the final evolution. That lamb butler is irritating, but then again, I laughed again because of him. Somehow, I get the feeling that this Lamb Butler is actually a girl... Well finally they out of the forest and go into civilization~ also expecting this one
the appearance of "possible-heroine", Victorias are finally taken over by the real enemy. Both Demon and Man-Beast, along with the survivor of Victorias must joined forces to fight against them! As for Hiiro, he acquired new power that will surely help him against his adversary!

Finally finished reading several titles until the latest chapter.

First: Isekai de Tsuyoku Narinagara New Game, this title is too serious and gloomy (compared to Re:Zero), well, a "good" torture for reader, since we will ask "when he is going to go musou!?".

While Makoto did become stronger and raised his level: I think he is still pretty weak, considering he has low stats than norms and low experience and I guess that will not really change much for at least 6-8 chapters... The appearance of Marie change things though. With characters that have deep connection keep appearing (Makoto's father, Shidou; Arisa) I'm eager to see how they will meet again, and how the story will develop from that. By the way, I hate orcs.

The orcs are pretty disgusting, but not even they are as chilling as the witch that summoned him. At least half the reason I am reading at this point is to find out how Makoto will get even for the shit she is putting him through.

I think the MC has potential, but he isn't getting any time to learn. Now he is stuck to Marie, which means there probably won't be much progress on that front this loop. At least on the bright side, he might be able to get Marie to at least not volunteer extra information when the witch asks. Getting her on his side will help a lot later.

I didn't read that one in Narou, so I don't know how far it is, "Nee-chan wa Chuunibyou!?" tells the story of a man suddenly could see words on top of people head. These words tells him the title for that person. On the first day of his high school day, he founds out that his class is full of weird people: Witch, Human Beast, Victims, Ren'ai Protagonist, killer, etc.

also for the reason the title "shukufuku" is not in narou, is as moe connection said.

New Game just got a chapter that fixed some of the problems I had with it. Makoto now has time(ironic, considering its a time loop), a plan(the diary), and doesn't have to deal with the psycho. Oh, and Marie was "fixed". Now we can sit back and watch the epic fail of the current loop.

It's different than the usual. The cast is pretty warped, but likable at the same time. The MCs initial distinguishing feature is his pain tolerance and perpetual grin that unnerves the crap out of people, which is a coping mechanism caused by a fairly crappy childhood. The story starts with him making his first friend(who is predictably a pretty girl), who is eventually attacked by some of his classmates out of jealousy. He dies of wounds sustained defending her, but wakes up in another world without a scratch on him(not reincarnation). His goal is to get back to his original world to fulfill a promise to go to an amusement park with her.

Sort of an unchosen and unmotivated protagonist(calling him a hero would be a stretch), but he does get stronger later. Sort of reminds me of Arifureta's Hajime actually, despite their differing personalities. Both settings have a "hero" who is not the protagonist, both lose an eye, both have a power traditionally associated with demons/monsters(even though the way they acquire it is different), and both just want to go home.

It's sort of funny how I've grown to like the little status boxes, even when they don't make sense in the setting. It's convenient for keeping track of skills, especially when I'm using machine translations and might miss things.

The Hero(who is named Nagi) is a pretty decent guy, but his self-righteousness causes a mistake with Fox that sets them at ends. Unlike Fox he was summoned purposefully, and has a background in martial arts and free hero skills. The aforementioned mistake causes him to beat the crap out of Fox, but Fox mentally dominated him throughout their fight, causing him(and his priestess/obligatory princess-type character) to be utterly terrified of him. Fox is in the process of getting stronger to pay back the favor. Before that incident he didn't really care that he was weak.

If you want some other character profiles there is a character introduction chapter at the end of the fifth segment. I can't link it just this minute because GT is going haywire. I will say that he picks up a yandere S-ranked demon, a female knight, a fairy, and a beast-girl. Despite that, its not really a harem because of how warped the cast is.

Because by then they were scared of Fox and had already been made enemies. They aren't brave enough to go back and be all "I'm an idiot, sorry." That was not a shining moment, that's for sure.

Finia is a fairy born from a fox mask that he was carrying. She was Fox's self-proclaimed(justified, since she is pretty strong) protector. She looks like a mini version of the girl in the prologue.

No massive personality change, but he was pretty ruthless from the start. It just convinced him that he needed to be strong himself.

Nope, he can't yet. He is on a bit of a training journey atm. Maybe he could beat Nagi up with his special skills, but stat-wise Fox is much weaker atm. He isn't gonna go after Nagi until he is confident.

It follows a mold that we have all seen in other series, but it deviates quickly. The MC and 2 friends get a different world summon, but it turns out the MC is not a "hero" like the other 2 and was summoned by accident. Unusual for the premise in that it doesn't automatically make everyone else an asshole. He gets treated fairly nicely, and he does turn out to have an aptitude for magic....healing magic to be exact. In further defiance to stereotyping, this isn't looked down upon and is greatly valued. Unfortunately(or fortunately depending on your POV), he is drafted into a battlefield healer unit and gets some training from hell. After all, if you can heal yourself you can do some downright crazy training without the side effects. This is so he can go into any situation and carry out wounded.

It's mostly a comedy and doesn't take itself too seriously. I liked it.

Fox is even weaker, although at least he has a chance to overturn the odds eventually. He really needs to fly under the radar for now though. The growth inflation is gonna get insane. I'm looking forward to it.

Stella(the apostle) isn't related to the girl Fox's party picked up as far as we know. She already fought Fox earlier while she was searching for Nagi, and kicked his ass too. He did manage to impress her and fight for a while alone though, with her eventually determining he didn't need to be "purified." That's better than Nagi has managed. Fox seems to have been summoned naturally through either divine intervention or by the world itself, so it didn't interfere with its stability. The only reason they fought was that Fox was protecting Leila(a devil), and Stella is basically an angel. She figured since she was there she might as well get rid of her. She reconsiders when Leila doesn't act all evil, and restores his eye as an apology. This worked out awesome, because he awakens a specific skill during the fight, and since his new eye was made from Liela's flesh and and based on a human's eye that possessed foresight he also got a foreseeing eye and miasma operation. This basically gave him the opportunity to become awesome later. Oh, and it also looks cool.

Nagi on the other hand, was summoned by humans and his presence interferes with some sort of dimensional stability crap. So her mission is to remove him. Nagi is in deep shit. He needs to awaken a specific skill strong enough to fight her off, or persuade her he doesn't need to be killed.

Wow, the "heroes" are basically weak to the point Stella feels embarrassed to even fight them. The priestess faints with a single light hit, while Finia and Lulu sit back and enjoy the show. Now that they got the fox mask back, they can pretty much just leave. Nagi gets owned mentally again, but it looks like he feels genuine remorse for his stupidity now. He isn't such a bad character. If Stella doesn't kill him here he might actually be likable in the future.

Damn, Fox is too OP. He still has a long way to go to be any sort of fight to the demon king, but he is already more than a match for Nagi's party. You get the feeling he can plausibly become ridiculously strong with his abilities. Since his stat growth is based on the assumption of defeating enemies at level 1, his stats are gonna inflate much faster than everybody else's. There has got to be some sort of limit on that...

Plus his miasma operation. It's basically the swiss army knife of powers. It can become a magic attack, a shield against magic, weapons, armor, a detection skill, and a stealth skill. He controls much less miasma than Leila for now, but he seems more imaginative with it. He basically has a touch of death no matter where he hits you. At least he doesn't seem able to use that body eating thing at range yet. Coupled with a high level eye of foresight, he is gonna be so awesome when he gets things down.

1. Death March 2nd volume is slated to be released june 2014. I can't wait for Arisa and Lulu to appear, especially Arisa, she is my favorite heroine of Death March~
2. New label named GCnovels -Got A Chance Novels-, their debut titles are: [Tensei Shittara Slime datta Ken] and [Madousho wo Tsukuru Hito] both from Narou. I have read [Tensei Shittara Slime datta Ken] and it's quite awesome.

4. [Izakaya Bottakuri], [World talk RPG] receive light-novel adaptation by Alphapolis.
5. [Re:Zero kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu] popularity secure manga adaptation.
6. Author of [Mamono-Musumetachi no Goshujin-sama!] decided to resume his work on Narou and suspend the web version. The story gets several alteration, most are in regards to fit the rating for 15+.
7. Author of [Maou ga Chijou deha Kyuuseishu ni Natteiru Riyuu] and [Saikyou Yuusha no Deshi Ikusei Keikaku], get her account banned for violating narou rule's. It's kind of too bad since I'm really really looking out for the latter (despite it's a obvious pakuri of Wizard Climber)
8 Other titles that get light-novel adaptation are: [Change!], [Guild no Cheat na Uketsukejou]. [Kamitachi ni Hirowareta Otoko (tentative)] is reported to receive offer for light-novel adaptation, it's unknown if the author accept it or not.

The female lead was originally the AI manager of the guild building.All the AI followers in the guild, the guards, the maids etc all became real people with minds of their own. All of them recognized the MC as their lord as he's the guild leader and the only member of the guild to have remained. Other readers who have read ahead said the MC's goal in the new world is to conquer it with his followers.

considering that master of monster is weekly, the pacing is very slow, currently:
- Takahiro gets 2 new member: the 4th sister, Asalina and the 5th sister, Ayame
- Asalina is a parasitic vine plant monster. She born and grows on Takahiro right backhand. Takahiro can use Asalina like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. She stays with Takahiro 24 hours.
- Ayame is a baby Balloon Fox. She can bloat like balloon and spew fire. Being a child and the youngest, her mentality is the same as 3-5 years old child.
- Roze and Mana became best friend. Roze help Takahiro overcame a bit of his paranoia around Katou Mana. Now Takahiro can ease his mind and thought Mana as friend of the same school.
- Roze slowly is able to talk and cooperate with Gerbera.
- Going to the north, the group met with surviving students protected by knights. Takahiro, Lily (in Miho form) and Ayame joined with the students and knights to interact with them and gather more information. Roze, Gerbera goes on separate way for a while, because they are monsters, Ayame volunteered herself to be bodyguard for Takahiro (hiding inside Lily body), to calm Gerbera who insist on coming along (she even suggest Takahiro to cut her body and bring her upper body). Mana didn't come along because she is scared of other people (she also suffer from PTSD) and so she joins with Gerbera and Roze.
- The Knights said that the students are their "guest". Takahiro feels something wrong with that phrasing.

As for Gun-Ota:
- After saving the Elves Kingdom, Lute is granted a honor court title and his name become Lute Gunsmith.
- He takes Riss (the second princess of Elven Kingdom) as his third wife.
- Lute then finally be able to organize his own Legion, naming it as [Peacemaker] with Lute, Snow, Chris, Meiya, Shea, Riss, Luna as it's member.
- Peacemaker first job is to help Legion, [Knights of Pure Maiden] solve the case of Mage Killer that terrorize Kokori town.
- During the showdown between [Peacemaker] and [Knights of Pure Maiden] Vs [Army of Magic Armors], Lute and the other purposely fall into their trap to lower the enemies guard. The enemies falls into chaos and annihilated by [T. MI. 35] landmines.
- Meiya and Shea leads the [Knights of Pure Maiden] sweeping most of Magic Armors.
- Snow, Chris, Riss form a team and chase over the enemy leader who runs away, Noura. Chris with SVD sniper rifle, easily scares and confuses Noura.

when? My guess: now, since Takahiro split into 2 group. Rose is tasked with blacksmith jobs due to her innate artisan skills, but with the group splitting, her usual jobs are reduced and she can put more effort in "upgrading" herself. The question is: considering the time she have (dunno if it's a couple of days or just 1-2 days), to what degree will she upgrade herself? If there's no time, then she can't upgrade herself, but the moment is just perfect for some surprises, Like Rose, already beautiful, gallantly appeared in a maid dress, comes in to save the day. By the way, how come Maid dress? Mana will supervise it with Gerbera help (Gerbera is tasked with creating clothes, thanks to her spider thread) I guess~ ^^'

and the whole theme of this series, which the author didn't bother to included it in the synopsis, is non-human races (Elf,Half-elf,Dwarf,Minotaur,Lizardman) are considered a lesser beings and the protagonist is trying to do something about it in a larger scale

also, the protagonist, being a noble, have his own land and his own town to manage for fuck sakes

I would rate this as a 16+ for explicit and erotic...? scene but some what light-hearted content


1.The story didn't started off at the point of summoning, but rather a whole 3 years after the protagonist got summoned. Therefore he is pretty aware of things around there.

2.The protagonist is basically useless in fight.... but again he is the commander with an army, so why bother?

3.A lot of chapter is dedicated to heroines (or some other characters) to explain things in their point of view, and some will make you go HNGGGGGGGGGGGGG

4.The protagonist try to applied his present day knowledge to increase the quality of life of his people (It's a bit like maoyuu here)

5.The protagonist's not a anti-social nor a donkan protagonist but also not a badass hero, he's pretty likeable as a main lead

I always like "Evolution" gimmick where someone or something change form and grow stronger (like -mon series). Protagonist is not useless and weak as he also fight alongside his team which is a good thing. A little bit "honobono" but if you like Monster-Girl, then check this out.

The story about Kaya Kazuhisa who is trying to take revenge by digging a trap hole on the mountain behind his school but instead killed an orc. He is then transported to a white room, where he learn that he , the school and it's students are teleported to another place. Kazuhisa will face many options which is going to decide the fate of not only his life but also the other students as well. Protagonist along with his party is often put in harsh situation which makes me think that author is a sadist. The main point of this story is alone > rescues other > lead a group > try to survive. The group fights are good and the mood really sets in as you can feel the suspense, well, at least for me.


遅咲き冒険者（エクスプローラー） (http://ncode.syosetu.com/n5077bw/) (Osozaki Explorer) story about a veteran explorer, Ignis who feels he had reached his limit and decided to retire. One day, he meets with one slave who ask him to buy her in exchange for "power". Honobono and pretty much old-school adventuring. Quite a good side-read though.

After killing the God, he then proceed to take over the god position. Renya then adventure into a fantasy world to test his newly attained god power. accompanied by Goddess of Love and Passion, Floria, he will raise and break a series of flags (Events) which will weave into a legend of God of War. somehow chuuni, funny dialogues, and good pace.


グレイプニル～異世界学園無双録～ (http://ncode.syosetu.com/n0711cb/) (Gleipnir ~Isekai Gakuen Musouroku~) is a new title about Majima Suzaku who lives together with his mother while his father suddenly went missing. Few years later his father is back and Suzaku is surprised that his father can use magic. Apparently his father, Genbu was summoned to another world as hero and managed to save the world. After Genbu went back to his own world, several years went by. Suzaku, now a high-school student is told by Genbu that Genbu had promised he would come back again to that world. He then asked (more like, forced) Suzaku to go there as his replacement. Hmm~ actually good idea, good execution, but the fight scene feels lacking for me. Well, Alto alone is enough to make me keep reading so I guess it's fine ^^


さようなら竜生　こんにちは人生 (http://ncode.syosetu.com/n6375bm/) (Sayonara Ryuusei Konnichiwa Jinsei) is about a dragon who feels he already lived long enough. He is then slayed by heroes but found himself reborn as human boy, Dran. Chuckled at how fate works, he accept his new life and excited to see and experience human's life. Really like this story, thanks to awesome Dran. Good story and good fighting scene. The length of each chapter is about the chapter of Hachinan, however, some may find this a little bit tedious or dragged on with some explanations (As for me, it took time to get used to it).


異世界盗賊譚 (http://ncode.syosetu.com/n2350ba/) (Isekai Touzokutan) Another gloomy story. Tells the story of Kujou Tsukumo, a young man in the black world who works as a thief. Upon sneaking to the residence of Sengoku Rouga, he found nothing valuable there other than a ring and a letter which tells him that the ring is a magic item that will send the wearer to another world. Although he doubted the credibility, he tried it since he already sick of his life. His decision will start the story of neither a hero or saint, but a thief starting a new life. Dark, serious, gloomy. and protagonist action is often heartless. But overall it's cool with thick plot.


異世界の歩き方 (http://ncode.syosetu.com/n1686ca/) (Isekai no Arukikata) is the story of Kaga Tatsuya who is suddenly summoned to another world. Not knowing how to go back to his own world, he then decided to go sightseeing around the world. Unknown to other though... he actually has been to another world before, when he is still a child. And this is what I need~ a light story. Despite the usual teleported to another world, the story doesn't follow the usual: hero, demon king, demon army and blah blah blah. Lots of older girl characters, definitely for oneesan faction! anyway, I enjoy reading this as a cure for my gloom~

The next thing he know, he is already inside a body of a 7 years-old boy named Rio living in a slum. He then come across a kidnap attempt of princessess and managed to save them. However, his action is doubted and he is branded as spy, what will happen to Rio now, as he still have things he have to do. This is the story of fate, miracle, and destiny. The main power of this story is the flow and its concise content. The story doesn't add unnecesary contents which result in speedy but good pace. Although different in theme, this title is quite similar in vibe as "Master of Monster". One thing to note is about the "Harem" tag, well, sure there's harem possibility here, but it doesn't feels like harem at all due to Rio closing himself. Nevertheless, I still love the story.

To be frank, that one sentence is enough to tell how the story will goes, the story of unlucky boy who is destined to be hated and bullied. In that harsh life he still find happiness however, how long will that happiness last? My complain about this story is the pace which is slow. the addition of intermission which shows story that will happened later (feels like trailer) just gives me the itch to say, "hurry up!". Not to the point of amazing, but the story is good.

On the 9th times, he regained full consciousness from the start, as a demon, Saleh Sanctus. Raised by demon clans, Saleh live 15 years of happy life. That happy life ended on the day he went travelling outside the village. Atem Kingdom with it's intention of purging non-humans, eradicates Saleh village and rob him of his relatives. After that, he meet with a group of vagrant consisted of non-humans from another clan who survived from the purge. Saleh then join this group and journey to find a place for them. Good story, good cast of character, nice balance of serious and humour. The story is easy to read and not as dark as what I expect to be.

He named himself Lost and along his companion, she-zombie and skull soldier, they rise from the weakest monsters to the strongest monsters. Very good description of fighting scene also with "evolution" gimmick that I like. Still relatively new but interesting with satisfactory length of text for each chapter.

Although he doubted the credibility, he tried it since he already sick of his life. His decision will start the story of neither a hero or saint, but a thief starting a new life. Dark, serious, gloomy. and protagonist action is often heartless. But overall it's cool with thick plot.

She wants to resist and if possible kill Tsukumo, but constantly taken by surprise from things she never seen before.

I was kind of expecting a mental breakdown over losing her virginity in essentially what was an extreme test of endurance, or at least be a little sad over it. She's angry with him and wants to kill him, yes, but she seems to get over the whole rape thing fairly quickly. And her refusing to eat or drink when she obviously needed it really just came off as a childish way of dealing with situation, aka pouting.

It is amusing how Tsukumo's plan for her is basically have her succumb to Stockholm syndrome, even if so far (chapter 9) he seems more afflicted with Lima syndrome than she is by her intended syndrome.
Hasn't been much thievery yet for being a thief.

Forceful at first. Up until chapter 66, there are 3 girls that join his adventure, 2 of them are reluctant and hate him (because they are forced into slavery) but gradualy falls in love to Tsukumo. While the other one is still confused to follow or not (possibly she will).

Nothing. Tsukumo starts having doubts that it's the meat causing it and consults the ring on it, because he'd heard the ring's previous owner had multiple lovers and around 50 kids. The ring amends its previous statement about the meat possibly being the cause, saying that while he and the people of the current world are both humans, they're fundamentally different. It claims his body instinctually realizes this and strives to continue passing on its genes. Tsukumo silently seems to think it's the ring's fault regardless, and the ring shows a rare moment of being flustered, so he's more than likely right.

Talking with the dragon mercenary does make him realize that they've been going at it like rabbits in mating season, and that just the knight and princess probably won't be able to keep it up too much longer, even with the healing potions he has. Probably doesn't help the two appear to be enjoying it at this point? They honestly didn't seem that against to begin with, if you ask me, but it's probably best to not think about it too much.

Tsukumo is actually frail and coward but experience screw him up to put up a strong front and stain his own hand to the very end. There this event where Tsukumo and co. are staying in a town, acting like a kind traveler guy. Then they sneak to the landlord castle and rob his treasures. After that, when they escape, He destroyed that one town along with its citizen, to erase any witnesses and their trace as it is necessary. (This action however, gave birth to a hero that will surely stand in his way for revenge)

Yustia is angry at Tsukumo and when she wants to attack Tsukumo, he threatened her that if he die, he will order Diana to follow suit. Yustia then offered herself as replacement for Diana, however, Tsukumo refused it as he can see through Yustia lies. Yustia then is forced to accept that she will become his slave and Tsukumo will not lay his hand on Diana.

That just doesn't sound like my type of story. I like some darker fiction, but there are some lines I just don't want the protagonist crossing if I'm going to enjoy it. Rape is one of them. I don't care that he feels bad about it afterwards. Reminds me of the time I read the Thomas Covenant books.

After teleported to another world, he is scared sh*t and panicked when a Crust Bear attacked him. With the help of the ring, he is able to kill the Crust Bear. After that he learns lots of information about this world, and the important thing that he learn: "Do not hesitate to kill". He is sly and cunning, often use tactic to outwit enemies.

His root is kind (yeah, a little bit), as he treasured those close to him and not hesitate to kill anyone who are trying to do harm to him or his property (that include his slaves). Tsukumo is actually frail and coward but experience screw him up to put up a strong front and stain his own hand to the very end. There this event where Tsukumo and co. are staying in a town, acting like a kind traveler guy. Then they sneak to the landlord castle and rob his treasures. After that, when they escape, He destroyed that one town along with its citizen, to erase any witnesses and their trace as it is necessary. (This action however, gave birth to a hero that will surely stand in his way for revenge)

Diana thinks Tsukumo is her best chance to return to her kingdom, since she's slave she can't do anything to resist but she gradually falls under stockholm syndrome. As for Justia, she only following Tsukumo orders and wait for a chance to backstab him, but she gradually is attracted to Tsukumo violence, which reveal her twisted dark side. Both are gradually drowned in please? But, yeah, it's best not to think too much about it :heh:

Tsukumo killed all the bandits and then forced Diana into his slave. Then on the way of their journey, they found Yustia who is hurt. Yustia is one of a knight platoon with mission to protect Diana, however they are ambushed and Yustia is the only one to survive. Enemies pursuit them and after getting a way a bit from there, Tsukumo used [Hecathonceires] and massacre all of them (with his face smiled creepily). Yustia is angry at Tsukumo and when she wants to attack Tsukumo, he threatened her that if he die, he will order Diana to follow suit. Yustia then offered herself as replacement for Diana, however, Tsukumo refused it as he can see through Yustia lies. Yustia then is forced to accept that she will become his slave and Tsukumo will not lay his hand on Diana.

Not really my type of viewpoint character, let alone the protagonist.

Feels kinda bad about it, but since here merely raised a small village and killed everyone there, less of a slow decent into evil, or simply fucking up in a fucked up world, more jumping down the slippery slope.

Redemption won't come, or won't come cheap for this guy.

Diana came to love the atmosphere of the town and totally hated that Tsukumo did something like that, she felt a huge sense of betrayal because at that time she had started to believe on him. She actually condemns and confronts him about it... But by his body language, she realizes that he felt guilt and regret over it. Then she realizes that he only did what he did, because she was was there; even though she was disguised, info about strangers sniffing around could have easily leaked (considered they attacked the lord's castle that same day); and that town was in a delicate state and both armies had access to it (the town was being sold off to an enemy nation, so both the empire and the enemies had ties to it). She felt even further conflicted by that "for my sake feeling", as Tsukumo choosed to do that for her sake, and he bear everything on himself without telling them, thus he is protecting her from the guilt, the responsibility and other stuff related to that.

The slavery hardly comes to play, he is more like an office boss to them :heh: he is pretty good at carrot and stick methods; so he more or less offers job rewards by the stuff that he does. He also realized on his home world that if he acts gentle to his nakama when they do a great job, and harsh to the other bands 100% of the time, people will feel really special then and will try to do things to see his good side.

What he has stated he "wants" for Diana to thoroughly give herself to him in both and mind by her own will, that's why he usually doesn't use the slave spell to force them to do anything. He has also "planned" a certian behaviour to make that easier, but rather what he "thinks it works" having an effect, is the girls catching glimses of the personality underlaying beneath the mask is what is making them closer to him.

He also has to do chores and other stuff because the high class ladies aren't good with those :heh: Also, I'm not sure if I have read this right (glossing over text, as usual :heh: ), but supposedly for the slave spell to truly work, both parties need to agree on the "owner / owned" side of the deal. She submitted herself to slavery under the conditions that her soldiers would be spared, but she never got a master registered as she was being sold to the whatever empire. Tsukumo just jumped in at an opportune time and took advantage of it before she knew what was going on. Knightgirl was fully aware of what was going on when she agreed to it, but apparently has some special privilege where she can break the contract under the right conditions and is banking on that, from what I understand. Basically, neither of them intended to be his slave, at least for long.

I'm about 40 chapters in and at the start I was just expecting dark-themed thief adventures and instead got a kill-em-all protag. It's a little disappointing, to say the least. The twisted morals are nice and all, but I'm not particularly fond on how the author delivers them. So I'm probably just going to stop where I'm at unless I somehow find the motivation to continue.

The only thing really holding him back at this point is skill. He still needs to learn weapon skill and maybe magic to complete his humiliating revenge on the hero. He could win easily right now just through being untouchable, but Fox isn't satisfied with that.

Baruodo(not sure of sp?) wasn't a demon general. Just a c-rank devil. Fox at least plans to get a weapon made with the body, but the city/village he is in doesn't have a crafter capable of doing it.

Doran is definitely confused after Fox's speech, but while he was working out his issues he ran into Satan. I'm not real hopeful for his survival right now, but we don't know how that ended yet.

Out of all titles I have read last week, the most striking update comes from this one. Rio (Haruto) finally meet with his long lost osananajimi (30+ years of separation) plus the appearance of his imouto as well! Rio haven't meet with Aki since the divorce of their parent, and didn't expected to meet with her again. There are lots of question coming when reading this arc, like "what is Rio role regarding the appearance of 7 heroes from another world?", "who is the High Spirit residing inside Rio? (I thought she was Rio osananajimi!), and so on~ just hoping nothing real bad will happen =_=

The fight with the Demon King is finally over, but I'm kind of disappointed Fox didn't cut his head off when he had the chance. That's gonna come back to bite them some time down the line. On the other hand, we finally get the full story behind Fox's specific skill, and it's even more overpowered than expected. It has some limitations so its not complete god-mode, but still....He can rewind the state of a being/object to any point that he has personally seen. That means he not only has retarded stats with the level 1 thing, he can create pseudo-time stops and heal like Tatsuya from Mahouka does.

For the butler one, not a real overarching plot but still worth a read. It's more slice of life atm since Soji has such a broken magic. He has already killed the demon king, what else is there to do? I guess we have to wait for the childhood to find him for the sparks to fly.

Kitsune is befittingly creepy yet likeable. It's nice he has set morals from the start without questioning them and isn't actually an idiot. The generic protagonist-type hero helps contrast them well.

And with Layla's extensive developments, screen time, and pure romance scenes that she gets, it really makes her look like the main heroine. Particularly where almost no other girl has gotten much development past their introduction. Not bad for a slightly late appearing yandere, cannibalistic, somehow innocent and childish yet still extremely lewd demon. It doesn't help that her and Kitsune are the only ones with (not really all that good) portraits.

I'm looking forward to Kitsune's revenge on Cecile as well. He seems alright with letting the pretend hero off with a thorough asskicking, but how he's planned Cecile's severe, severe punishment from start to finish really makes me want to see it come true. She more than deserves it, too. Hero will probably try to stop him, or persuade him, but I really hope he doesn't give a shit. He hasn't given many shits so far in regards to pleads, at least.

Also, he needs to hurry up and take the troll fairy back. Their back-and-forth is great. It's not like the hero party could do jack shit to him at this point, minus maybe magic. Kitsune's already overpowered as shit without his even far more overpowered skills.

The story also seems to be leading toward a confrontation with God/s eventually as well. They're probably one of the few things by this point that could pose a thread to Kistune, seeing as he can wreck the demon lord alone, even if he wasn't at full power. It's pretty obvious he's going to regret not killing the demon lord when he had the chance, though.

Also, tried reading 異世界迷宮で奴隷ハーレムを up to chapter 38. The characters and execution bored the everliving hell out of me so I gave up on it.

To be fair, Leila/Layla's "evil" traits were more a product of red night's influence. It made her seem really bipolar. She is still a little warped on her own, but only as bad as Fox.

About the hero and Cecil, I agree. The hero is guilty of being a self-righteous dumbass, but Cecil threatened Finia. Nobody threatens the snarky fairy. The author has promised an epic revenge in the comments, so here's to hoping he pulls through on that.

I'm guessing the next enemy after the demon king will be related to the distortion Stella is looking for, assuming it isn't actually Fox's specific skill all along. Plus, she said she wanted to kill God. So there is some weight to it being the final boss.

And I wouldn't call it bipolar, her killing and eating things is essentially originally tied to her liking things, since they were tasty. Basically, her liking something just meant she wanted to eat it at some point. Otherwise, she's been pretty consistent until her 'pure maiden mode' shows up and she starts being shy for a while.

I wouldn't call Kitsune warped, either. His only bizarre trait, really, is that he smiles when getting killed or half-killed, but his faint smile is more or less his poker face. Maybe he'll even figure out Cecile is kind of a bitch, but he is kind of extremely stupid, so I wouldn't count on it.

It is. Major spoilers, if you're curious. I really can't recommend you read this.

It's his new inherent skill 初心渡り. It reverts his level back to 1 without affecting stats and other things. This causes him to be able to pass his previous set limits (as going back to 1 seems to give him new limits based on his current stats), also seeming to increase his stat growth rate for defense. Eventually his strength growth seems to diminish greatly when he levels, so it does have some sort of hidden limit. It also makes leveling easy as hell.

For even BIGGER spoilers, this same skill can also work on other things as essentially a time rewind skill. He uses it to revert someone's wounds to a few moments prior, someone's mentality and stats back to around the time they first met, he fixes a broken clock tower with it, rewinds time by 10 seconds and even stops time with it for 3. It's pretty broken. Its downsides are it can only be used during the time span he's known the person or thing and is very painful to do with the time bullshit. Level, stats, and body aren't connected, for some reason.

For example, he could make Finia level 1 again with her current stats, increasing her growth rate. Or he could heal her arm if she happened to lose it without any other effects. Reverting stats seems to go with reverting the person's mind as well. However, he wouldn't be able to make the hero level 1 because he never saw him at level 1. There's also apparently a danger or something that leaves him open when using the skill, or at least he thinks so. I should probably go back and clarify that part to myself but I honestly don't really care if it does.

Hm,, I seem to have forgotten that second bit. The reason I thought it didn't make sense was why would he buy someone he sold? If he was gonna do that he could just skip the slave trader. I guess this ties back into his odd sense of right and wrong. Yup, no forgiveness for the bitch. The hero is an idiot and hence kind of pitiable....she isn't. I loved when she got knocked out by Stella and even she was kind of incredulous that Cecil fainted by that. Lulu and Finia just sit back and enjoy the show, and take back the fox mask after she is unconscious. They are just waiting for Fox to come pick them up at this point.

Payback is gonna be awesome.

I'm not entirely sure his party would feel sorry. As long as he the only thing he does is make her be his chair when needed. Finia's a pyromaniac fairy with Kitsune-level morals to begin with, Lulu's easily impressionable, and I'd be surprised if Layla cared even a little outside of misplaced jealously. Triche might care a little being a former knight-in-training, but being forced to be a chair probably doesn't count too high on the abuse scale, not to mention she watched it all go down.　And she watched Kitsune kill the duke and was only slightly unhappy. Dran the new party member might care...? It's kind of hard to tell with him being a serious adventurer but then trying to get back at Layla in childish ways for killing his wife as the Red Night.

But yeah, while I would like it for to be forever for shits and giggles and sprinkles, he would probably at least let up after some point.

Yup, he has absolutely no problem on the stat front. He can raise those whenever he feels like it easily. At this point its all about having the skill to land his blows. He should probably learn magic too. Miasma is good utility, but its slow.

Fox may not hold a grudge, but Leila was the stalker he didn't really care for until recently. Give it time.:heh:

We have to get through vol 8 before we get the revenge. Can't wait:D.

EDIT: What type of weapon do you guys think he will get made? A sword seems kind of generic, so I'm hoping the author goes with something atypical.

Starts out rather generic, with the 15 year old protagonist named El heading to the Labyrinth City to make his fortune. The labryinth is pretty much what you expect, with defeated monsters inexplicably leaving loot behind, plus there is an absorption effect that strengthens the people when they kill a monster in the labyrinth. All adventurers choose a patron god who can grant them additional powers after a trial, although El hasn't gotten that far yet. Their church also provides training. El chooses the church of the martial arts god.

Where it differs is that its not a harem. El is not somehow granted a leg up on his peers. He decides to learn bare-handed martial arts and kick the shit out of anything he comes across. Its violent as hell. Expect eye gouging and groin attacks. There is a supernatural power he can access, but its something all adventurers have.

I thought it was rather different, but there is only 18 chapters so far.

This one is a true harem like Mushoku. If you like super overpowered protagonists this should be your thing. Shuu(the MC) could probably destroy the world in a few seconds if he was so inclined, so the comedy is better than the suspense. It also has quite a few chapters.
