Actually it's for all games. Anime related being the focus, but others can be discussed there also. They simply suggest that there are better forums on the net to discuss other games.

From the forum rules:
discussions about games which are not directly related to anime (such as Final Fantasy or Command and Conquer) are allowed. Just remember that there may be better forums for discussing those kind of games than the AnimeSuki forum.

So what it is this game anyway?

Its called Red Dead Revolver.

It was orriginally developed by capcom i've heard but it was completed by Rockstar, the same company that makes grand theft auto.

Its a Wild West type game, you play as a guy named Red, i think, and basically you are trying to get revenge for ur parents murder.

I think you get to fight indians, mexicans, white gunslingers, and even zombies...

It looks nice and the soundtrack is done by the same guy who did The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

I think that I've seen a commercial for it on tv once.

OMG, Red Dead Reolver had the best theme EVER of any video game I can remember at the time... I still have the demo movie of Capcoms verison, it was an american country song with Japanese engrish, the best shit ever.

Now that Capcom gave it to Rockstar, they probably took away that awsome song, and that already killed it for me... that's Rockstar for ya, they're a one trip pony (execessive violence) the only way they can get creative in genre is to take another companies leftovers. I will assume it will sell huge and no one will know it was thanks to Capcom

Well they can do greath things with the left overs ... rockstar isn't exactly garbage. They have some pretty good stuff.

Huumm... I've played the first few stages and it's not bad. A bit on the easy side but the presentation is very western/original including the gritty graphics and standard west-showdown music.

You get money by taking down outlaws and you can buy better guns, repair your guns and unlock secret contents.

If you're a fan a action games and westerns I don't see why you wouldn't like this game. It's not rockstar's best but it's no state of emergency either.

I give the game a solid 8/10 (from played the first 4 stages)

yeah. rockstar's best was clearly oni. (10$ for about 2 weeks of fun)(not continuous)

SLADE: if you give that an 8/10, what game is a 10/10 and what game is a 6/10?

I am gonna have to check this out sometime :)

I'd give Fight Night 2004 10/10 because it's the best boxing game ever created enjoyable by both the serious gamer and the newcomer while I'd give a game alike Syphon Filter Omega Strain 6/10 as it has too many fetch objectives with poor gameplay and map design.

Be mindful that the 8/10 comes from the first 4 stages of experience. There's a chance it could go down from there.

I heard that after about the first 4 stages of Manhunt the violence gets repetative and a lot less shocking and you realise ur just playing crappy game using the gta shooting engine, which i hate by the way...

So I dunno - I think I might have to buy RDR but i'll prolly wait till skools over...
