View Full Version : Photoshop help (kinda) - Screen Shots
Anyways I love doing wallpapers from various anime I watch. This is the problem, I take a screen shot (print screen) from MediaPlayer9 and paste it in photoshop and I have the picture, but its weird... It's has a scrolling area within its self which don't alow you to work on it. Also if you crop it it does the samething. Anyone know how a screenshot can be turned into a normal jpg file that doesn't has any weird attributes???
I tried explaining this to the best of my ability hopefully someone here has ran into the same problem, and could help me plz V_V
Thanks in advance.

I take it you have overlay off, yes?
If so, maybe you should give BSplayer a try. It'll capture a normal sized cap or a "what you see" cap.

you can;t printscreen from any video program at all, you can how ever as mentioned use some programs which have a screen capture option, such as BSPlayer. inwhich you just press p and it takes a screenshot.
I get this problem frequently as well. Pretty damned annoying. I know for Windows Media Player you can fix this by going to Tools > Options > Performance > Advanced ... > and then at "Video Acceleration", uncheck "Use Overlays". This will make playing your thing a bit slower though, so maybe you should check it back after you finish screenshooting. Here's a screenshot I took from Windows Media PLayer:

Seems that you already got it worked out, but you could also just press ctrl+I in windows media player 9 and the it automatically saves the screenshot

Thanks Tarriator, your method is useful too, but the other way has more resolution (bigger pic). But the ctrl-i is useful when I'm working on small graphics avatars, banners, etc. Thanks :)
