Here's what you do:
1) Deal with it!
2) buy the DVDs when they come out,
3) Watch it on cable television.

All I know is fan subbing has to continue until the end. This story is too good to have to wait for official release 9 months from now.

This story is too good to have to wait for official release 9 months from now.Why is it that "fansubbing must continue" just because your impatient and can't wait for the official DVD releases? The series being popular doesn't justify continued fansubbing.

it's pretty damn hurting to read massive complaints when this kind of thing happens... so I'll just post my comment now b4 all the bitchin starts........ there is no use crying about this... the dvds will be awesome... and also... it doesn't take much intelligence to look for other peeps who will continue to sub this.....

its just that theyll probably take 70 years to reach episode 32A better exageration would have been 10 year. :heh:
Realistically, once the releases start it'll probably be a 4 episode DVD every 5-6 weeks.
I think it's great! :D I mean.. I'm going to be a bit antsy to find out what happens, and I'll probably try and track down any fansubs groups may continue to do..
But when it comes out on DVD, I'm definitely buying.
I hope they give the DVDs a good treatment with great special features and nice packaging. I was really happy with what Pioneer did for Hellsing- If you pre-ordered some of the latter volumes, you got a varient action figure with the DVD. That sort of stuff is cool.
Unfortunately.. if Cartoon Network is going to be showing it, there may be a delay on DVD release so that all episodes of a volume are shown before a DVD is released of those episodes. I'm not sure what they've worked out.
In any case.. with E3 this week, there should be a lot of licencing news.
I think I'm gonna cry! :(

Yes... I'm popping my last bag of popcorn for the "shitstorm" in the next 24 hours. All I'm hoping for is a speedy and timely DVD release by FUNi. I'm not worried about the dub voice since I won't even turn the track on. Also I am very, very glad I don't pay for or have Cartoon Network. :heh:
Now if the Mod-samas will somehow amalgamate all FMA-License threads into one, it'll make my day :heh:

I don't know about that. With Yu Yu Hakusho, they're only up to episode 50 or so on Cartoon Network, but up to 82 is out on DVD.

I know the YuYu Hakusho movie was out long before the TV series was licenced for distribution... but I honestly haven't been paying attention too much to that one. I like the series, but I've had it on fansub so long that I pick up a volume once every few months when I can afford it :)
As for Some of the other CN titles.... Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Witch Hunter Robin...
All those were slated for TV after they'd already started releasing it on DVD.
However.. I noticed that vol. 4 of Witch Hunter Robin was delayed. While vols 1-3 came out relatively quickly.. after CN picked it up, vol 4 was mysteriously delayed, and they were showing new episodes on CN before the DVD for those episodes were available.
But what about Wolf's Rain?
That one was pretty much picked up by CN as soon as it was licenced. They're airing it every saturday.. and I think they're on episode 4 now? Maybe more. Amazon has the release date for Vol. 1 of that series set to release on June 22 :(
Since Cartoon Network originally started picking up series that had already been out on DVD a while, it was different. I'm not sure how it was with YuYu Hakusho.. because I didn't pay attention to the DVD release dates on that one... but I can only hope the FMA DvDs are released in a timely manner :(
Oh... and I don't have the Anime Network.. or whatever ADV's anime TV network is called.. so I can't vouch for the release schedule of ongoing series they're showing on there >..<

Since this thread is devoted to whining about the lack of a thread I won't pollute the other thread in the DVD&Licensed Forum by merging it. We can really live without the whining so if you want to discuss the matter seriously you can continue posting in Fullmetal Alchemist LICENSED - IGN.com
