Why are there so few fanpages about FMP? :o I thought it was more popular..

And this particular FMP board has the least posts among the other boards.. Was FMP and FMP?F popular? Or was it simply just an anime which had a little clique?

I believe this is because they are older series.....and hard to talk about like certain episodes as people would have difficulty remember everything to detail.
Other series especially like the new series that are still be aired in Japan and being released on Animesuki, people talk about them right after they watched the new episode of that week, so there are much more things for them to talk about, as their memory on them are still 'fresh'.

Threads that got many replies don't just blasted up with post counts all of a sudden.....they takes time to build up.

Marine speaks true. FMP was released in 2001? was it, and Fumoffu's been out for more than a year. Both are actually pretty old by most avid anime-watcher standards. Further, the Suki forums are really geared towards series in the short run. I'm quite sure that FMP has had, at one point, enormous popularity (as it is one of my very favorite series), but those days are over.

Man, Ambience, you make it sound so tragic. :| And it is, because there's no one to talk about it to! :(

Arias, agreed.

I got into the whole anime thing rather late, so by the time I'd watched FMP (season 1) and had gone raving all over it, it was ancient... I never watch ongoing series tho, I guess that's my problem, plus I haven't seen too many good ones lately. I'm plumbing the closets for good licensed mecha series lately, and there's some pretty decent ones, like GunParade March (My Avatar). I guess great series die hard, lol.

You should try Ninja Senshi Tobikage. It's a classic mecha type series that was first released back in the 1985 or something. Even though the art for the animation is not as good the animation nowadays (hey....almost 20 years have passed afterall), but this series is still very good and I would say art work quality is somewhat similar to the stardard of the original Macross TV series which was also back in those years.

Anime-classie just release the sub for episode 1 for it. I've downloaded and and watched it already......even though after all these years, I still find it interesting to watch. If you got the time and space, you could give it a try.

Try Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, also known as "The best anime series of all time". Unfortunately not released yet, but probably for 2005/2006, perhaps later. Evil Bandai. Mobile Suit Z Gundam, which many people prefer over Victory since it's older and in a more familiar setting, is going to be released in August in the US I believe.
