What kind of OVA's are you looking for? Just like series, there's a huge spectrum of genres, from action-packed, explosion-filled ones like the ROD OVA to the semi-artsy bishoujo-type Mizuiro.

On Suki, I guess I'd recommend Mizuiro for drama and Early Reigns (is it still available? I think it may have been licensed) for action. Neither is amazing (b/c it's pretty hard to pack any semblance of a story in 45 minutes), but both are enjoyable.

The quick and easy answer is Gunbuster.

The long, drawn-out, and complicated answer is Aim for the Top! Gunbuster.

The first four OVAs from Rurouni Kenshin, aka Samurai X, are *really* good... I really, really love them :)

I'd recommend Le Portrait de Petit Cossette, too, although it's not complete yet. But... oh... it's just a really good OVA series. There's blood. A lot of blood. Without a lot of fights (which I don't really like, except for the blood included). And there's romance. A dark, twisted, ill kind of romance, but it's still romance. And the soundtrack is just plain GREAT. Damn... I want these songs... Oh, come'on, go download it. Or regret it. Or be like me, anxiously waiting for the next episode... -_-"

I like Tokyo Babylon... while I enjoy watching yaoi, I'd see this is a safe anime even for the "Ew! Yaoi!" kind of fan... I mean, I could hardly see any yaoi at all in the two OVAs. I enjoy the art-style, but I can't really explain why. I just... like it. It's sweet, in a kind of way. My favorite thing in the whole OVA is the art... and Subaru-kun, who's really, really cute. Kind of pathetic and useless sometimes, but still cute. :) It's a cute story about a cute boy who helps not so cute people. :p

Pet Shop of Horrors, especially the third episode - it's my favorite. Medusas' are really cool... and no, I don't like snakes. Seriously. It's horror, but horror in a romantic, tragic, beautiful way. I'm not going to say the characters are really great, even if a actually kind of like Count D, but the stories themselves are very well-written. I really miss a decent opening, though. With music and all, I mean. Oh, well, I can't just have it all, can I?

Saber Marionette J Again. I've seen it sometime ago, but... well, it may be because I've just watched the Saber Marionette J series, and really liked it, but I was very happy to watch this OVAs. Marine is one of my favorite characters of the entire series, and it's a shame she only appears on the OVAs.

Angel Sanctuary. Be warned that it contains incest, though. I don't really mind it, but some be bothered. And yes, the whole story is about a boy who's in love with his sister. The art is *great*... so is the soundtrack. The only thing that *really* bothers me is that... well... this is one these OVAs that doesn't have a proper ending. But, well, if you've watched a lot of anime, you're probably used to that, since it's getting way to common to not give a proper ending to an anime. Damn "Shinseiki Evangelion Syndrome"... -_-"

Yes, I really like OVAs. :p Anyone with some other sugestions... enlighten me! I want to watch more OVAs too :)

some more good ova's

Ah! My Goddess OVA's (5 of them) : if you ever read the manga you have to see these, if not ... well they are about a boy who gets a wsih from a goddess. He wishes she stays with him forever. He is later joined by the goddess's sisters as well, funny and romantic comedy, you'll love it

Kenshin Remnicense OVA : tells the story about how Kenshin got the X-shaped scar on his face : extremely touching and emotional, about the best stuff I've ever seen

Yokohama Kadaishi Kikou : slice-of-life OVA very calm atmosphere, somehow it draws you in and even though little happens it fascinates you in a way you can't turn away from it
