Hi there, you all proud guitar ownerz! :)

I dont know about you much, but Im pretty mad when it comes to find guitar tabs for a certain anime, and I personally cant create the complicated ones by ear, and Im sure that there are lots of those who are like me.
Over the time I collected some tabs for various animes, and Im sure you did as well.
So, what Im saying, is that we should have a thread where we will share all our tabs between us, request to find or even create them (Im sure there are amongst us some _real_ guitarists who actually can create good tabs, and kind enough to do that 8) ) and keep links to them in a very organized way, say in first post(s). We can also keep here links to jpop\jrock tabs which are not from any anime OST but still hard to find by someone who does not know Japanese well enough to browse Japanese tab websites (like me).

How will we keep the links? Well, we can upload them at RapidShare, MegaUpload and such, or smth like that, or we can share their ed2k links, or we can use some ftp server or http server (if anyone will give us some place especially for that purpose ^.^ ). Im gonna check if I have any opportunity of storing the tabs on some server or smth, and if I do Ill tell you.

When I say links, I mean links to Guitar PRO tabs, cause IMO txt tabs are ugly and hard to read and understand, especially by those who are not very good with guitar and music stuff (like me). And everyone can go to Guitar PRO website and download the free trial version (or whatever they call it).
And if there is only txt version of the tab to particular theme, well, its not too hard to convert it to Guitar PRO format!
So, what d'ya think? If you have any suggestions post them here as well!

P.S. I currently have about 10 tabs for Death Note, and 1 for Hellsing. I know, it isnt much, but I spent much time to find them O.o
Also, I found some YouTube links with ppl playing some themes, covers, and even teaching how to play and sing particular song.

I'm not sure if there is another topic discussing Tabs for Guitar/Bass for "anime" music, (J-Rock, J-Pop, whatever makes your feet move. ^^) so I've decided to make one, with a question of my own. Hopefully this might become a good place to get some decent tabs for songs.
Well..
I'm trying to figure out the Guitar Tabs for "Hey Jimmy!" Peace Maker Kurogane's ending theme. I've got the beginning part about done. Let's see if I can make the Tabs look nice.

But seriously, I've been looking for guitar tabs on anime/game/jpop/jrock music for FOREVER (the links I had archived are on another compy.. ) and I seriously doubt that the Naruto ones are available. Maybe some Japanese site woudl have them? I'm on a crappy compy right now, so I can't help you much, sorry~

i love the ending song for green green, so i tried to listen and learn it for guitar. although i've got most of it, it's not perfect...anyone know a site which would have it on?

proof not everyone sits and watches anime all day long :D. anyway.....after searching for 3 hours i've decided to finally ask around here. anyone know a good site the has guitar tabs for anime music, i've even tried searching by the artist of certain songs with no luck.

Ahh, there are other musicans here too =)

Well, what I have found -> http://www.animescores.com/ is number 1 place to get guitar and piano scores from animes. Then there is also http://www.kontek.net/vgjam/ which is not specialised in anime but videogame tabs. Good tab site anyhow. Right now I'm learning song "breezy" from final fantasy 8.. Very nice one.

thanks, i'll have to check anime scores out. i've been to the other before and it's great i found it while i was looking for the guitar tab for Magical Dreamers from Chrono Cross. trying to find Buzzlip - Wild Rock (Saiyuki Reload OP) but haven't had any luck.

Just to let you know, guitar tabs for anime/jmusic is close to nonexistant. There are a few sites, but they don't update often. I'd give you some, but my favorites list is unorganized and I can't find the sites. :heh: So... well, the only advice I can give you is to use google skills to their limit, and the Saiyuki reload op is probably not available, especially for english sites. If you use Japanese, you might be able to find it, but don't get your hopes up.

unfortunately animescores.com doesn't give you the rythm just the chords. :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

There are a lot of guitar and bass tabs from the Beck anime at aBeckFansite (http://beckfansite.com/articles.php?m=tab&PHPSESSID=cc1baa75e03d01e48aabceed3d997fa4)

I would suggest copying and saving them though, if you are interested. They tend to run out of bandwidth every once in a while.

(Btw, Beck is a great anime and I would definately suggest it to any guitar or bass player.)

Here's a .gp4 (Guitar Pro 4) and a .mid of Aozora. It sounds pretty accurate to me, although the bass line was pretty much made up and the solo is not 100% what they play (but it's all pentatonics anyways, who cares, right? :)); post any comments, suggestions or whatnot. Enjoy.

I'm currently looking for some tabs of anime songs like H.T (trigun) or Worlds Without Logos (Hellsing). I really want to practice playing them on my e-/guitar.

I started tabbing the first FMA opening on bass since it has a kickass intro. I may as well dump it here. I'm not 100% sure it's correct though, but I checked everything and everything seems to make sense in the scale/key it's in (or, it did at the time):

And whoever played Bass for the Beck songs is too good. I've been meaning to learn Spice of Life for ages, but the tab I haven't isn't great, and I'm too lazy to tab it myself. That and some of the runs actually sound pretty tough. That song is weird since on the "Beck" album version of Spice of Life the bass is turned waaaaaaayyyyyy up, way too far even (though I like it as a bass player :P); it goes as far to make the song almost completely bass lead (although maybe that's the point). The version of the "Keith" album is pretty interesting with the bass turned down to more "normal" levels (but still fairly loud).

Edit: crazy, look for guitar pro files. Or PM me an email if you get that desperate. I have them both :P

Beacause no one has it! Muahahahha!!! The midi and the Guitar Pro file (which is much better than the tab) are above. Here (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wmaiorov/aozora1.txt) is the tab for the maing guitar track, but I strongly recommend using Guitar Pro.

Ok. I know this is asking a lot. I also know that there probably isn't a snowballs chance in hell that this exsists out there, but I'll try and ask anyway seeing as one never knows.

Does anyone know if Tablature exsists for the song "Akatsuki no Kuruma" from Gundam Seed Destiny by Yuki Kajuira? There is some great guitar work in there so I was just hoping. Initial googling hasn't produced anything. :eyespin:

I've been asking for Dawn's Carriage ever since the song came out, and it never appeared.

I'm trying to do it myself, but it's a really long song, and I don't have a lot of time on my hands...

I need to find some Noir guitar tabs too. I just haven't had the time to look for 'em.

I'm not exactly sure where in Aozora you are talking about, although I don't exclude the possibility of a mistake being there. About Guri Guri (by Hiromi Satou) I will try to get it here in a timely fashion.

There seems to be a few mistakes, and I can't quite get the timing out of it, but I love you nonetheless. But do you happen to know the piano chords at the beginning, or right after where you finished? I think starts with an A sharp/B flat power chord, goes down a string, then up a fret.

The intro piano chords, well I gave it a shot. I worked them out on my keyboard and this is a direct note-for-note translation. I personally think it doesn't work very well due to the timbre of the sound but nonetheless:

it will help people who want to learn the solo, there might be some mistakes, but overall its ok :)

When I say links, I mean links to Guitar PRO tabs, cause IMO txt tabs are ugly and hard to read and understand, especially by those who are not very good with guitar and music stuff (like me). And everyone can go to Guitar PRO website and download the free trial version (or whatever they call it).
Well, I think you should put both text and gp versions when you provide tabs.

But I disagree with you in a way, because most people rather just provide a quote/spoiler with the tabs. (Well if someone wants to hear it, just convert them his/herself.) Doing the tabs is already enough work and not all people want to fill her pc with gp...(not to mention that you had to wine emule it if you used linux)

Its okay for me if it wont mess up the index, anyway if someone really wants a tab and there is only txt he can always remake it in gp format if he wishes to, and release the gp version right here in this thread. I mean, if ppl have only txt version, nobody forces them to convert it into gp ;) But its still will be much better if they do :)

About linux, well, Im sure there is some linux analogue to Guitar PRO that can at least import its tabs. And if it isnt, then yes, you emulate it with wine.

Well, you see, it's kinda hard to find anime tab sites, they're almost inexistant. I guess every content here is made by us (at least my part). You can request for a specific tab, someone might help you or not.
I'm trying to keep this thread alive by posting some tabs (like the rozen maiden ones) instead of listening to all requests... (mostly because I only have time to do them in the holidays).
I help when I really like the music and think I can make some tab out of it

That looks mostly correct, your missing a 7 on the G string right after 8-7 on the B. The harmonic at the end is actually fret 7 on the G string, not the lower one, 12 on the D.

Note on the slides:
9-9s11 means you hit 9 once, then hit 9 again and immediately slide to 11,
---s11-- means you quickly slide to the note without emphasising a prior note.

Its not 100% right, the ascending run in that high note part is a bit off I think, and the end notes sound like singles but I wanted to double up with the next string. Its the closest I could get for now.

I had that problem, but my adobe reader asked me if I wanted to download a Japanese Font patch. I clicked ok and after it installed that the numbers showed up for me.

Well, actually it's pretty easy. The only problem lies in the tuning. If you don't know how to go to Drop D (which is just standard EADGBE with the low E string changed to a D), just tune your guitar to standard. Tune down the 6th string, 7th fret until it sounds like your 5th string open.

Anyways, here are the lead tabs. If you encounter errors, feel free to PM me or just post here.

EDIT: I forgot to tell you that the harmonics are optional. It makes it sound closer to the actual song, but if you can't do it (I know I can't do them perfectly) you don't have to.

Most tabs of songs you won't be able to find without a lot of searching. I usually ask my friend to look up the tabs for me since he always has a bunch. So I usually just take his tabs and practice on the guitar.

My friend was also telling me that hes been getting piano sheets and in a way translating it into tabs to play.

I've recently stumbled onto supercell's fantastic new single Sayonara Memories and I had a blast listening to it. I play the guitar and I am was learning how to play the song itself.

So as I was searching on Nico Nico Douga I also made another discovery: Irojiro's version of Sayonara Memories on guitar. His cover of the song just blew my mind... Literally. I already now know how to play the song itself having bought the band score for it, however I want to learn Irojiro's version of the song.

If you know how to tab or can put down any sort of tablature from watching videos or anything like that, please help! I'm terrible at learning from videos. If you can compose the tabs for this version of this song I will be eternally grateful!

Irojiro has no tabs, those are all improvised unfortunately, I've tried asking him for his other tabs but he doesn't write any down. Plus, if you're a beginner, I would advise you not to try his stuff, it's pretty difficult. I've been at it for months trying to tab his rendition of Don't Say Lazy and I'm still not done. Not trying to get you down in any way, but you could try the K-On forums and go to the topic with Tabs and Sheet Music and try to find an easier version to play. Then when you get used to it, add in your own spin, or try and copy IJ's version by watching him, over, and over.. and over...

This is why I've asked for help on tabbing video content, I know he hasn't written any of it down. However if it was anyone who'd put it down on paper best, it would be him. That doesn't mean I haven't given tabbing his versions a go. Actually just watching him playing over a few times actually has helped me successfully put down some of his riffs from Sayonara Memories and a few parts from the solo. But if anyone can help me with tabbing Sayonara Memories from Irojiro's video, it would be great help still.

Ok well I'm not sure where you are in your guitar skills. How long have you been learning the guitar? This song requires barred chords, power chords, bending and vibrato, slides and some guitar effects (Which I don't have any other than distortion) for the solos. Guitar Effects aren't necessary but refine it overall. Anyways I'm assuming you have Guitar Pro 5 or 6? or some tablature program? If so you can start with this tab.

It has four guitar tracks due to the two versions. The top two are the original version which Irojiro (Guy in the video you provided) plays along to and features a different solo. The two tracks down below are the Studio version, using GP5 you should be able to mute them if you want. But from there, you can choose which parts of the two tracks you want to learn.

This tab features the actual song, not Irojiro's version. I will be attempting to tab his version, which is the one you have requested. But for the mean time, I strongly advise you to learn the actual song from this tab.

This going to be a good exercise then! Since the tempo isn't too crazy like Go Go Maniac. You might get tired from strumming, and I always suggest up down picking because trust me it is way faster than down down picking or strumming. I used to think the opposite... I was wrong. And palm muting, you need to learn a bit of palm muting in the song. If you are at the level you suggest you are at, forget about Irojiro's version for a while. This is going to keep you occupied. The bending for the solo might take a while for fingers to get used to (at first might sound terrible and different) but it's accurate. And the tab I've given hopefully helps.

No it doesn't include Irojiro's version. I'll still tab Irojiro's one (he never put it down on tabs, he improvised it) but stick to this for now.

PS
The tab features some retarded stuff like a 26th note on the guitar, just omit it. They do that sometimes because Guitar Pro 5 doesn't feature effects to modulate the sound to that extent.

Ok I'm not too sure what you're referring to by the wrist problem. Can you elaborate more? What I'm interpreting is that only wrist movement is done and you can't seem to strum with your entire arm? I'm a little lost. First of all, are you learning to play standing up or sitting down? Because when you are starting out it is very different. If start by standing up and playing, it will definitely strain your wrist but you will find it extremely easier to play sitting down afterward. Secondly, in reality no one really needs to do giant arm movements to play their guitar. It really is all in the wrist movement, arm movement just comes naturally and develops into a flourish (for showing) really.

OK I think I get it now... Well strumming like that really comes naturally when you rest your wrist like that. It's something you'll actually develop, he does it because it requires Palm Muting which deadens the sound of the guitar a bit. The Canon Rock video doesn't show it at all. But I see what you're getting at. You know how to do Palm Muting? It should be indicated on the tabs I gave, if not you should check it out on YouTube to see what it is exactly. Really it muffles the sound a bit to get a more rock feeling to the note or chord. To play like Irojiro does, you really just adjust the angle on your palm and wrist. It comes with familiarity, once you are familiar you play the riff a lot faster there you usually find a way to conserve your movement in order to play faster. I hope you understand what I mean, the technique definitely is a natural ability that all players experience when they are able to play something fast.

Yep that's exactly what I was referring to. Irojiro also includes this with single notes on the guitar by picking individually, this gets more difficult when you are picking faster down by the B or E string. This really is just practice material.

Requesting some tabs for the Highschool Of The Dead opening. Wasn't a HUGE fan of the anime, but the theme song is so damn awesome.

Preferably with 2+ guitars for the full version :D Any drum tabs would be cool too (makes it a little easier than examining covers)

If you look around on nicovideo you can often find a tab for things someone has slapped together. This can require a passing familiarity with japanese. I know when I did a bass cover of it a couple months ago I saw lots of guitar tabs for at least the TV size, though bass tabs I couldn't find at the time. Probably even harder to find drum tabs.

I've tried to play them on my acoustic guitar (I only play electrical guitar these days...) and it didn't seem very good overall :P in fact, I could only play the last two nicely. The other 4 seem to be easy on dual performance, but seems like soloing them isn't something that I can accomplish easily ^^

Just watch how the Japanese guy does it when you notice that he's different from the Australian guy. I only saw the intro and noticed the Japanese dood did some power chord looking things for Mami's side when the other guy was playing the same riff.

The TAB is a really good place to start....

I finally had time to revise Battle of Rose.

The rhythm guitar is wrong... No need to tell me, it takes too much time and effort and I don't have neither.
I think the solo is finally correct, even though for some reason there are 3 notes which sound mute when I play the score on guitar pro and midi.
