I'm in Australia as well, theoretically it shouldn't be a problem. What ISP are you using?
figured it out it was a firewall, neways there is only one difference between To Heart 2 and To Heart 2 X Rated and i agree withjohnishida its the fact that they addaed a new character

I believe the only the difference between To Heart 2 and To Heart 2 X Rated is that in X Rated they added a new character.Well, the difference is the new character and the added sex scenes, of course (as is suggested by the "X-Rated" subtitle). The original version was not "adult-only". The question was whether or not they had to alter the rest of the story to blend the scenes in, and I would guess they did have to modify it slightly, but probably not all that much.

1. Gore Screaming Show (It's my all time favorite)
2. Yume Miru Kusuri ~ The Drug that Makes you Dream
3. Relict ~Toki no Wasuremono~
4. Alice Parade
5. Princess Waltz
I lost my bookmarks so I need help finding a site. It's a repository of sorts that has links to walkthroughs and walkthrough sites of pretty much every erogame in existence. It's in all Japanese, the background is grey, with no pictures. Does anyone have the link to it?

You mean this one (http://www.venus.dti.ne.jp/nekoneko/)? This the the only greyish walkthrough site I know. In any case typing the game's name + kouryaku (in Japanese) and using google Japan can solve your problems.
Goooooood, that's the site. thanks.
I've been playing Soshite Ashita no Sekai Yori in a leisurely fashion. Finished Aoba's route first (god, she's beautiful) and am just beginning Minami's. The one-on-one interactions with the heroines are pretty engaging, but I find the daily life & group activity stuff somewhat less than interesting. I dunno... do we really have to tag along with the protagonist for dinner every single night?
My main worry right now is Yuuhi... I really hope she gets more depth in her route, because right now she has the double whammy of being an archetype I usually dislike and having a voice that makes me want to bang my head on my keyboard. :heh:
Thanks to Erhjegel, I'm playing FESTA Hyper Girls Pop, and is that a Mortal Kombat reference at one point?
"Ho-piiiii!"
This game is really, really funny.

Glad to hear that! Just finished Seinarukana, again, and I might go back to playing FESTA now. Either that, or I swoon over Narukana-sama.
Kusun. I didn't realize there was a capture order for Festa, so the game punished me. Takahiro and Sho.... they..... !!!!!

Lol.
...Wait. Let me rephrase that.
LOL!
Me, I'm going after the miko. since she's the character who got me interested in the game, but I guess that'll have to wait!
Can someone help me out here? On AXL's site, it says that they're coming out with a new game, PrincessFrontier. While new AXL games are always welcome, here's where I get confused.
The site says that this game is their fourth product, but if you count it...they have Tutorial Summer, Hidamari, Kimi no Koe ga Kikoeru and Koisuru Otome no Shugo no Tate, right? So wouldn't PrincessFrontier be their fifth game? Or am I getting something wrong here?

mmmmmhhh. i know these are old games but i love 'exchange 2' and 'heart de roommate'.
exchange2: cuz it's funny and cool and i like it
heart de roommate: if you follow the story you will realize if the story is deep and you can see that in the true ending after you finish the game 3 times with moe2,marutan n asumin.you will find it in the album in appendix.
that's all for now i think.
oh yes, and the most bad ero games is virgin rooster(it sucks!!!).because i hate the story and the main character!!!

No. Try the series that starts the bad Eroges genre. Paradise Heights.
Praise the lord that you can't even run the game on XP.
What about Tsuki: Possession?
Unless you are Satan or brainlessly cruel towards women, you shouldn't play this game.

I tried to go for the miko too, but I discovered that's she's second to last on the capture order. X__X
Bright side: each route seems pretty short compared to most erogames.
Basically you do the mirror town people first, and then the sword town second.

Wow, that's...ugh. x_x Ah well, at least the routes aren't that long!
A little off-topic, but Sengoku Rance just hit the manga world, and I have the first chapter. It's looking pretty good. From my limited experience, they're jumping into the story a little after some of the whole beginning story exposition has already taken place.
There's actually two, and I'll upload the other one in a bit. This other one (serialized in Dengeki G's Festival COMIC) is 18+ though, while the other one wasn't IIRC.
Ch00 of the, uh, other serialization also just popped up. This is gonna get confusing...

Finished "Maid Promotion Master" once (one route... can you really say there are routes in this game?...)
It's kind of brainless fun, but not to the simpleton level of Alice Parade (<--Loved Miori's path though).
Recommendation (?) for the bored that have the time, space on the computer, and can enjoy stereotypes, perhaps?
Characters:
Put in one word, stereotypical. But who cares anyways. A lot of things in this world are stereotypical.
Well, except maybe the male protagonist, but that's for later...
Komari: Tsundere (?); the most normal of the bunch, slaps Riku with a harisen
Yukine: No brain, all brawn; carries around a gun (in other words, shoots Riku with it)
Aoi: Quiet type; slightly off in the head... A bit obsessed with black magic... casts curses (not like it works... I think.)
Koyomi: Airhead type; loli type; glares at Riku (least harmful?)
Miu: Older sister type; OK with both genders (-_-; ); her story takes place in the first chapter, so no more must be said
And the protagonist, who I really wonder why he hasn't been arrested yet.
Riku: He's okay when he's serious, but that goes for many protagonists. He has this complex where he believes he's like a bringer of bad luck and misfortune and doesn't want to be around other people stemming from past events where he brought misfortune to others... But the game would be gloomy with such a depressed main character right? Unfortunately, this guy is so freakin' "my-pace" and he doesn't really get too depressed over it. It only takes over in the "dramatic" scenes.
He's also a huge pervert with some twisted pee fetish... And he's VERY open about it to the heroines... I wonder how many times he asked them to... not saying too much there, but let's just say he would be fine with listening to it or drinking it...
He also tends to set up cameras in the girl's bathroom and owns lots of porn videos; This guy is open enough that he could bring out a porn video in public (though at night with no one around at that time) and gladly show it to the heroine... only to have it confiscated.
If Nozomu from "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" always uses "despair", this guy always "sobs" (Musebinaku).
But he's a pushover for those violent maids of his... They start to threaten him, and he gives up right away.
Oh, and I almost forgot his appearance... He's a 28-year-old that looks like a yound teenager... :eyespin:
Oh, and he can talk to animals...
---
Drama:
To be honest, it isn't all that great because besides for the main character, it's nearly impossible to relate to the heroines.
Because it pretty much all involves maids.
And I will NEVER become a maid. But there's very little drama anyways...
And apparently, there are departments/classes of maids that focus on different things, but who cares.
---
Story progression:
Very simple (this is why I said this game doesn't even have a route for characters).
Besides for the main story, in each chapter, you can freely move (in a point-and-go way) to talk to the heroines. Obviously, the game limits the choices/movement to a certain number of times.
The first several chapters each focus on one heroine (kind of resembles an actual anime in format), one chapter that has them all (AKA Choose heroines to talk to and enjoy the H-scene that follows), and after this one, you choose a heroine close to you (there's a screen that gauges their attraction/thoughts towards you) and the last chapter will focus on them and give you their end. In other words, after finishing the game once, the only new things will be in the last chapter.
---
Comedy:
What rules this game and makes it worth playing (?).
There are obviously gags that are repeated, but I managed to get through without really getting bored.
Some examples of comedy-
-Beating Taito (from Jyushin Enbu) in repeating words.
-Heroines attacking the text box when Riku says something unpleasant to them. Example: Shooting and creating a hole in the box, smacking words out of a sentence.
-Speech text changes in way written. For instance, Riku mights suddenly talk in katakana or in romanization.
-The most prominent: Fighting over Riku... It gets kind of scary. They're all so violent towards each other. And the language gets extremely crude, to the point where it gets censored sometimes.
---
CG:
*thumbs-up*
---
H-scene:
5 girls, 1 man.
Make up any combination you like and it's probably there (not necessarily, but you get the idea).
There's also Harem, and some H-scenes don't necessarily require the guy...
---
Size:
3+ GBs...
http://www.clearrave.co.jp/product/mp/top.html (Obviously 18+)
Just who are those sub-characters... Never saw them (yet).

I'd like some help in identifying a possibly obscure, old ero-game. It was very short, and it was a traditional point and click, choose dialogue sort of thing. I was given it by a friend along with a game called "True Love". But I can't remember what this second one was. It might even have been translated rather than an official english release. I think the main female character (there was only one, and the game was short) had red hair or something like that, and wasn't a unique character, the usual tricky and somewhat rude, then succumbs to the protaganist, though at the end she reveals she was planning the whole time, or something. I think the male character was a tutor, or a doctor, or something like that, invited to the girl's house. And there was some other male who became "involved" at some point. There was animation for one scene, I think. Again, it was pretty short, and took place entirely in the house/room. Lol, you're probably wondering why I would bother to try and find such a thing but it's a nostalgia thing, and I don't really play many ero-games. THanks for the help, I didn't think this was important enough to be posted as a thread of it's own.
@hungarianrhapsody:
The erogame you're talking about is probably IMMORAL STUDY 2: Yuka Ijima, an old bgame translated and released in english long time ago by HIMEYA. It's the second from 3 installments of the IMMORAL STUDY series. Review here (http://www.mobygames.com/game/immoral-study-2).
So what was the difference between To Heart 2 and To Heart 2 Xrated anyway?
As far i remember, the difference is - besides the obviously addition of H-Scenes :heh: - some new characters, new CGs, new scenarios and minigames.
The new, only TH2:XR version character, is Sasara Kusugawa. And, of course, Maa-ryan senpai comes along, too! :D
You can read more about the differences between TH2 and TH2XR here (http://bluemist.animeblogger.net/archives/toheart2-xrated/).
If you want, read more about her and another characters' stories here (http://bluemist.animeblogger.net/toheart2/). :) Be warned: You will have HEAVY SPOILERS... without eroscenes! :p

Sasara is a fantastic addition to the game, hell she's my favourite character even though I didn't like her bittersweet ending (and because everyone else had a definite sweet/happy ending while Sasara didn't). Maa-ryan Sempai is going to be my favourite in "Another Days".

Finally finished Asukimi and well overall it's been a decent game, but again not nearly dramatic as that fab opening animation would suggest. Actually though the game has it's 'serious' parts it was still far from being 'crying game', for me at least; saddest thing in whole game was probably breaking little Rin's cellphone toy :heh: ...still feeling guilt about that :uhoh:. In the end couldn't help thinking they could've make game lot more deeper and moving with that sort of plot. No complaints for CG art and technical side of things.
Moving now onto Liar Softs Sekien no Inganock.

To be honest I thought it was going to have a not so happy ending considering my experiences from others Unisonshift games like Nanatsuiro Drops where 'something' has to happen for everything to return to normal but, it did have a happy ending. They become lovers and after some really shocking events and stuf they get the happy ending I really hoped for :D
Was that fine or you want something with a bit more of spoilers? Considering the events on Hikaru's route it would be better to play Anzu's after reading Hikaru's and Nagi's. Well, that's just me.
So you would say that Peace@Pieces has a worthwhile story? Interested in it because of the Noizi Ito art, but I don't love her quite enough to make my way through a halfheartedly-written game.
Moving now onto Liar Softs Sekien no Inganock.
V. interested in discussing this one... if only to find out whether or not I understood the backstory properly before it fades from memory. Seriously, though, it's gotten me thinking about delving into other Liarsoft games, although I don't know if they'll be similar. Might just start looking for something by the same scenario writer.
Almost done with Soshite Ashita no Sekai Yori. Still hung up on Yuuhi, haha (I put off her route as long as I could). I would have stopped after Asahi's route if not for the damn epilogue... now I just feel like I'm wading through a swamp to get there. :heh: I guess that's kind of an unfair impression to leave, because I quite liked Aoba and Minami's routes; they didn't feel enormously special or outstanding, but I enjoyed them. Asahi's end was--well, not quite to my tastes, I guess.
I just feel like they could have done more with the premise (not necessarily in the Infinite Ryvius sense, either) and still made the game shorter. The CGs are stunning. The music is kind of crap, which is unfortunate; I get the sense that this is a game that needed a lot more atmosphere, but it never really evoked that for me except in some isolated scenes. The protagonist has a sort of black hole feeling to him.
I don't think it's a terrible game by any means, but I was expecting quite a bit more, with the positive stuff that's been said about the scenario writer. All of the good things about it--good themes, good characters, good art--seem to slip by each other without ever 100% synchronizing.
Guess I'll see how the after story is. Just gotta finish Yuuhi first...

Yes, I would say. I have only played Hikaru's route but, her's alone is good enough. I got hooked with it and keep reading and reading non-stop until I finished it.
Now onto Nagi's and Anzu's route where I'm sure the questions not answered in Hikaru's will get their respective answers.
--------------
Also, I finished playing Ashita No Sekai Yori and I was just like you are right now. It was a pain to go through Yuhi's route. I really liked both Aoba's and Minami's but, for some reason Yuhi's felt annoying... Asahi's was ok.
And the epilogue... Expected something different but, it was ok.
Overall, the game was fine but, I was expecting something different. If they had showed more of the Dark side of every character things would have gone much better.
Very interesting topic, thanks to all contributors.
So I resolved to get RUNE's Musume Shimai for the fetish aspect, and since I'd rather pick at least two titles at a time from Himeya due to the steep shipping price, I was wondering if you had any suggestion of another recent ADV title that is less of a nukige and more story-oriented, in the soft, heart-warming style. Non-consensuality is a definite turn-off, and kyonyuu is as well. It doesn't have to be loli per se, but youthfulness is certainly appreciated.
Kissy kissy ~watashi no tamago~, mentioned earlier in this thread, looks cute enough. Fair Child seems to be a nice title as well. Any comment on how good they are story-wise?
Thanks a lot.
My fave at the moment is Erogos' In Series. I don't really care about story in my ero-games though, so yeah. (not like I can understand moonspeak anyways, though it's actual story is pretty easy to figure out) :uhoh:

At the moment, Critical Point and Crescendo. Replayed them a few weeks ago, in between Call of Duty 4 marathons.
Critical Point was the first H-game that I'd ever played, and one thing that I was struck by is how much of it made sense; most H-games tend to flip out when you get to tech, but Critical Point wasn't too bad; references to wars, CIC, Wild Wheels (though I think the real reference was Wild Weasel..)
...then again, the senario writer worked on Macross.
...I do remember feeling oddly awed at how many ways there were to creatively die in that game.
Crescendo... totally different kettle of fish, as the Brits say. It's one of those stories which is heartwarming, tearjerking... I remember being moved to tears at several key moments in Ayame and Kaho's storylines... *coughs*
...but I like Call of Duty 4, Front Mission 5 and the Ace Combats better -_-

I'm referring to the fun factor and the level of mental stimulation, as opposed to the emotional stimulation of the Ayame path. I'm the kind of guy who likes to be stimulated mentally and physically :P Hence FM5, which is like chess with mecha, and COD4, which is fun and needs thinking, especially on multiplayer, and the Ace Combat games, where you need planning, skill, determination...

Playing air right now. I'll probably get to kanna little sister some time this year...(I've had this thing on my computer for at least a year already, but the first 3 endings didn't make me feel touched at all so I'm not sure if I should finish it.)
My fave would be a tie between air and clannad...

Of course you would feel nothing if you only completed the first 3 endings. Everything lies in ending no.5 or no.6. (actually the last 3 endings are kinda similar)
I felt the same as you do at first, mindlessly reading the story while thinking: "this is the second best tear jerker in 1999 just after KANON? I don't believe this!" After reaching ending no.5, I was crushed as if the author slaps me in the face and said: "that is for underestimating the great ROMEO!":D (In case you are wondering, romeo is the nickname of the author)

Key notes:
1. Retails for 6800 yen
2. Supports Windows Vista
3. 640x480 -> 800x600 upgrade!
4. Redraws? Looks like it, CGs shown in the link imply so... (Little Busters! style of drawing)
I missed this part in the page:
さらに新規イベントCGも追加!
which roughly translates to "Even more, new CGs are also added!"
So that means we're getting new CGs, though if it will replace everything is another story. To be honest though, considering that Itaru's style has greatly changed in the last four years, it's very likely all of them will be replaced.
I have been playing Utawarerumono for the past 2 weeks and I think I am about half way through the game now (if the story follows the one in the anime). The game is quite good so far and the battle system is real simple. There are also quite a bit of extra (funny) scenes that weren't included in the anime.
But I wonder if it is possible to get the CGs in the game in a larger version? This game has some of the best CGs and artwork I have come across but it's such a waste to view them in 640*480. :(

You will have to hack into LEAF's internal network to get that I guess.
What about the PS2 version? They could be bigger I suppose?

Ahh ok...I guess I will have to hunt these CGs down once I am done with the game.
btw I don't think the PS2 version has higher res CGs since afaik most PS2 games run at 640*480. Even if they are in high res, I wouldn't know how to extract them from the PS2 disc to the computer.

Talking about Cuffs they totally screwed up this week by releasing unfinished version of Garden with two missing paths/endings and bunch of bugs, lot of hateful comments on egs from people that bought the game.

I've heard about that too. Too bad for Cuffs. :( They could have just delayed the release instead of pushing through with it on the 25th, like what ROOT did with Touka Gettan...though in Touka Gettan's case, all those delays still resulted with the game being far from complete. >_>
Additional: Just saw this from Marmalade's site. It's about Omi Asakura and what people would like to see.
# 浅倉臣攻略ルートを作ってください!!!
# 空野太陽はネ申
# 臣さんと拓登君のBL展開をお願いします!
あとドラマCDとか出ないんですか?
I think my brain just exploded. I agree with the other suggestions, though, especially with Takami Rin's, Asakura Nanao's, Arietta-hime's, Tsukimiya Kaede's, and Seihouin Erika's!

Cuffs already delayed Garden by a few months. In a niche business, there isn't room for lengthy delays, so publishers (unless they're super successful, like Aquaplus or Visual Art's) get boxed into lose/lose situations. When funds run low, they have to ship, even if it means losing a lot of good will.
Touka Gettan was far too ambitious of a game, especially when Orbit operates on a yearly turnaround.
It's exactly the same for normal games. I.E. Electronic Arts said C&C 3 is going to be released on that date, point. What we have is a game full of bugs. Hope that isn't too common for visual novel business too.

Most of the English ones are almost purely sex, no real story ones made from years and years ago.

In that respect, both Hyaweh and Nozomu seem to just love doing that while in a state of blissful ignorance. Stepping into landmines, I mean.
That and they have swords. Big, shiny, pointy, stabby swords. Well, in Nozomu's case, he's paired off with his sword, but that's besides the point.

Aquanauts of a morning calm, from Fizz, coming out Feb 29, has a demo out. I'm going to give it a spin.
EDIT: It needs an /H code to properly work in AGTH.
EDIT2: This is a very lightweight trial version. Only some of the character voices are present, and some of the graphics seem to be not present either. I hope this game doesn't get delayed. &___&
EDIT3:
I finished the trial and I'll write up a summary tomorrow.
Here's how the trial for Aquanauts went:
The game takes place on either an island or a seaside town; lack of AGTH support for now hampered my understanding of things. The characters are as follows:
Emoto Aki
The male protagonist. Not too much to say about him. Basically your typical male protagonist, but with glasses, and an inability to swim.
Asanagi Mio
Main heroine, the redhead. Her true form is that of a mermaid, and she switches to that form when she gets doused with water. She relies on a magical mermaid hammer to transform herself into a human, and it's with this hammer that she erases the memories of people who happen to see her true form. She's kinda popular around the school, and is also in a music or singing club of some sort. She has a straightforward and blunt personality, and fits into the tsundere category, and since she's a sort of princess in the mermaid world, she's kind of an ojousama too. She's also in the same class as Aki, but the two haven't really interacted until the start of this story.
Takanashi Miyuki
I'm running down Getchu's character list so she is the blondish girl with the whale ornament in her hair. She's Mio's friend, one year under Aki and Mio, and obviously totally in love with Aki, who's totally dense in return. She makes a bento almost daily for her senpai and tries to hang out with him when possible. Those experienced with ero games know that type of girl I'm talking about. ;)
Emoto Yuriko
Aki's older twin sister, who is in a different class. A boisterous and energetic personality, frequently doting on her brother and teasing him about his choice in friends, his lack of a love life, his indulgence in the occasional ero-game, and other things. Judging from her profile, apparently possessive of him as well (If any girl wants a hand at my brother, she has to get through me first!! or something like that). Has great proportions ( ;) ), and currently the #1 ranked character on a poll on the official website. My favorite character as well so far.
Shiratama Kanaka
A mysterious girl in traditional Japanese garb who roams the city. Aki meets her one day when she eating an ice cream and the wind knocks it over. Aki buys her another one, and their interaction starts from then. The trial doesn't reveal much else about her.
Mariel Livingstone
Aki's classmate with whom Aki is friends with and chats often. Cute in that sort of small child sort of way kind of. Not much more of an impression of her at the moment.
Emoto Himawari
Aki and Yuriko's mother, and a miko (or the owner I think) of the shrine, where she and her two children live. A bit of an air-head and over-protective of her children, throwing a worriesome fit when they come home ten minutes late. :p And I have a feeling that she can't cook. :heh:
Takamoto Souchirou
Aki's best friend, sort of. That slightly off dude who's responsible for your family members thinking that you're obsessed with ero-games. ;)
The story:
The trial tells the story so far with a lot of mix-ins of flashbacks and some parts seem as if they're not exactly complete, so I'm going to give a chronological summary.
Yuriko ambushes Aki in his room while he's playing an FPS game (a Japanese FPS gamer!? Hell --> Frozen?? O___O ), and after some teasing, she joins him in the game where she somehow beats him every single time. In the last match, she makes a bet: beat her and she'll strip however much Aki wants her to. If he loses, he has to go buy her a drink. So he loses and goes to get the drinks. ;)
On the way back he happens to pass the beach where he catches Mio singing. A gust of wind blows and lifts her skirt to reveal no pantsu. Mio spots Aki, and Aki falls into the ocean in a panic. When he regains consciousness he's somehow back on the beach and alive.
The next morning at school, Mio calls him out to a secluded area in the school and asks him if he remembers what happened. You can offer either a yes or a no at this point, but in either case she materializes that hammer of hers and manages to strike him in the head with it.
He wakes up in a nurse's office with Mio going on about how he fainted in class.... and then changes it to how he fainted in the courtyard, and about how she found him unconscious and he had to be carried to the infirmary. Aki feels there's something wrong with all this and briefly remembers her clonking him on the head with her hammer out in the courtyard but says nothing about it after Miyuki suddenly comes in gushing about her sempai being okay and unhurt and such.
Mio has a feeling that Aki remembers something so she stalks him the next day after school as he hangs out with Souchirou. Some time after, Mio confronts him in her clubroom and finds out that he does remember. She clobbers him with her hammer again.... and nothing happens. She's surprised, and then angry, and demands that Aki let her clobber him some more. The struggle moves into one corner of the classroom where they accidentally tip over a bucket of water......
http://xs124.xs.to/xs124/08055/aqua1563.jpg.xs.jpg (http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs124&d=08055&f=aqua1563.jpg)
and then:
http://xs124.xs.to/xs124/08055/aqua2323.jpg.xs.jpg (http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs124&d=08055&f=aqua2323.jpg)
As Mio is crying and lamenting her situation, some people enter the classroom, and Aki carries Mio and jumps out the window, from the second floor, into the pool below (shallow end). He then carries her all the way out to a secluded beach.
Explanation time happens. Mio explains that her hammer allows her to change into human form and erase people's memories when needed. She demonstrates and is surprised when her human transformation works. She's happy that her hammer's apparently not broken.... or not, when she tries to clobber Aki again and nothing happens.
Mio has Aki promise never to reveal her secret to anyone, but that's not enough. She tells him that he now has to be her 24/7 bodyguard to help keep her secret safe. Dun dun dun!!
So that's how the trial of Aquanauts of a morning calm, or Asanagi no Aquanauts went. It was kinda jarring at first, but eventually the pace settled and it got fun towards the end of the trial when all the stuff finally started happening. I like the characters so far, and the plot has my attention. The in-game art is okay, but the full CGs are jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and the artist's skill shows. The premise defininetly feels like a rip of Seto no Hanayome though, for sure.:heh: Let's see if the full game turns out differently and in what way.
EDIT: One more thing: Yuriko and Nozomi of Seinarukana share the same VA. Behold the transformation of the timid osanajimi into the boisterous ane-san!

Hmm... I'm liking the art from ChaosRegion so far. That's a given, since the art from Shirogane no Soleil was just to my liking as well. It seems like there are three factions (or just divisions, perhaps?) for the cast... One side that's related to "Heaven", and I'm guessing the last one is somewhat related to "Hell" (hey, what can I say? The only character in the latter category looks like a succubus to me. :heh:). I'll be looking out for this one, for sure. :D
And also, from the same website for the PS2 version of Shirogane no Soleil (Shirogane no Soleil -Contract to the Future-, it seems like they also have a PS2 port for Alicematic called "Shuumatsu Shoujo Gensou Alicematic -Apocalypse-". Expect the usual port bonuses and features, I guess.

Dear usual buyers on Himeya and Paletweb, I'm begging for help here :heh:
To summary a bit my issue: I wish to buy many products in one go through Paletweb. Unfortunately, some of these are simply not available on Paletweb, and I'm not exactly thinking it might be a good idea to go wild with the "request" option. Hence, I tried to check Himeyashop, though the shipping fee is growing quite quick... Considering both shops don't sell the goods with the exact same price, I wonder if buying everything on Himeya wouldn't be a safer bet.
Here is what I would like to buy
-CLANNAD Full Voice
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Himatsubushi-hen
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai - Matsuribayashi-hen
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
-Higurashi Daybreak
-Higurashi Daybreak Kai
-Umineko no Naku Koro ni Episode 1
-Umineko no Naku Koro ni Episode 2
Italic bold red games are unavailable on Paletweb
8 items. that's nice and dandy. However, the problem to figure if buying everything on Himeya, or buying 5 on Palet + 3 on Himeya is simply... the shippingt fee.
First Option:
all 8 items with Himeya shop:
Net Total: $228
Shipping fee ($19 for first item, $4 for each additional item): $47
Whooping total: $275
_____________________________________________
Second Option
5 items with Paletweb, and 3 with Himeya :
Palet:
Net total: $158
Shipping fee ($15 for the first item, ??? for additional): $15
Whooping total 1: $173 + unknown supplement
Himeya:
Net total: $57
Shipping fee: $27
whooping total 2: $84
Hence, Grand total: minimum $257
As you can see, the second method has a complete unknown factor. Currently, it is $18 in difference, but I still don't know what is the additional fee.
What is worse if the fact paletweb doesn't give a proper shipping fee total until you actually make your purchase, and receiving a proper e-mail, giving out the total shipping fee. See below
# When you order two or more items, we inform you the combined shipping cost by E-mail.
# Airmail cannot be used when sum total weight exceeds 2kg.
# The item which you ordered can be sent with the item of ebay auction.
Moreover, when you are waiting for the end of ebay auction, we can hold your item for two weeks from order.
# When you delay the payment for a long time, we will withdraw your order.
Furthermore, keep in mind that it becomes impossible for you to use our store henceforth.
# If you have further questions, please contact to "Palet Mail Service".
For reference, I'm living in Europe (belgium), hence the $15 for the E.M.S with insurance. It might look kinda stingy, but the total cost is reaching dangerously the limit of $284 i can afford :heh:. Also, I believe Paletweb add some interesting extra when you buy doujin from them... well kinda. (ironically, even if I pay twice a "starting shipping fee" from both shops, it might turn cheaper than "all 8 with himeya" :heh:)
Any help or indication for such cost would be really a lifesaver ^^
PS: my apologizes for this somewhat off topic post, I thought this thread would be "kinda" more appropriate than "where to buy" which is kinda more towards general in anime industry than softwares and such...

It's been my experience that palet's shipping costs scale up very quickly. When I've ordered two items from them, my EMS cost was around $32-36 (North America), and when I ordered 3 items it was around $47. I think that's because they have some sort of calculation by weight (which is how EMS is priced to begin with). So I'm not sure how much the items weigh, but I'm guessing that, in the end, Himeya will end up being cheaper simply due to their shipping cost calculations.
Basically, Himeya eats some of the shipping costs when you order a lot (but bump up the cost of each item thanks to some extremely unfair currency exchange). Palet, on the other hand, gives you cheaper/more reasonable prices on the individual items, but charge a bit extra on the shipping to make it worth their while. So if you're ordering a few items, Palet's cheaper, but if you're ordering many items, Himeya will probably end up working in your favour.
In some cases, it's actually cheaper to use an agent instead, especially if you can find all the items at a Japanese web store for a good rate. Typically they collect a percentage of the total but only have a single fee per order, and then they charge you the actual EMS shipping cost. So, in some cases, that may be cheapest of all, but I'm not sure how it would work for your order since you have a lot of doujin items.
Anyway, in the end, I've basically come to accept that there's no cheap way to collect stuff from Japan! :heh: Hope that gives you some food for thought, but hopefully others will chime in with their opinions as well. (I am wondering, though, whether we should split it into its own thread, but I guess we'll leave it for now...)

It is quite surprising... I mean well a CD case weight is like what...? 50 g at most? (hard... might be a random number I pulled off of my brain). I wouldn't be much surprised for 1kg etc, but... 3 items resulting into 47?
*Sigh* I do wonder why approximation isn't available (because going reckless on such shop might give quite an obnoxious surprise...)
So if you're ordering a few items, Palet's cheaper, but if you're ordering many items, Himeya will probably end up working in your favour.I see... that's kinda what I concluded as well after reading your own experience... looks like a linear bias cost progression for himeya while it is a hyperbol for Paletweb.
Anyway, in the end, I've basically come to accept that there's no cheap way to collect stuff from Japan! :heh: Hope that gives you some food for thought, but hopefully others will chime in with their opinions as well. (I am wondering, though, whether we should split it into its own thread, but I guess we'll leave it for now...)Heh... That is basically what refrained me to do so until now :heh:. (I feel like my wallet will be extremely light once I will try to get my claws on LB Exctasy and Kamipani *sigh in depression*).
Klash, I don't know if this will be of any help, but the Higurashi games (both question and answer arcs) can be purchased via download if you go to 07th Expansion's site (http://07th-expansion.net/Main.htm) - Rei will become available sometime this month. That should remove the shipping burden!
Unfortunately, it seems that you must have a Visa, which is something I simply can't get (student, so see the problem). Furthermore... I have the stupid and insane habit to always try to get the said item physically ^^".
Good thing I'm not a "LE" crazed guy... yet...

I'm faced with this problem a lot myself :heh:. I've used Paletweb, Amazon.jp direct, and an agent service.
Warning, long post...
My agent service of choice is Japan-Auction-Agency, since they have a very nice shipping only service, where you order from the online store yourself, have them as the address, then they only charge a very small commission based on the total price range. From what I've seen, their shipping prices are fair, and they even give you the weight of your package for you to check against prices. Of course, by that time it's too late to change your mind...

Amazingly consistent pricing between all three companies, with shipping, fees and item markups being about 40% of the total cost. The JAA shipping only service is the only cheaper one, but not by much, and only applicable if you can order everything you need from one Japanese site yourself. Everything I've gotten from these companies have been well packed as well, so no damaged items.
EDIT: Everything expect Higurashi Daybreak Kai seems to be available on Melonbooks. You'd have to wait for Clannad Full Voice to be out to use the JAA shipping only service, but that'd probably be one of the cheapest ways to get what you want.

Depends of the country as I expected. Over here, you can't get a visa until you have a regular salary which is above a certain treshold.
No charge whatsoever to get it (but usual small fee each year), but it requires to have a proper job.

The English patch fo Utawarerumono has been released~!
http://mirrormoon.org/node/239
Thank you Mirror Moon <3
So, right now this is my favorite ero-game ^^'
I finished Utawarerumono last night (the Chinese translation one) and now I really want to try the full voice PS2 edition. I know the Chinese community has already made a patch for the PS2 version (even seen screenshots of it) but I have no idea how it works since it's a PS2 game.
As for visa, I got one while I was still a student years ago. For the income requirement, I just used student loan and allowance.

Chaos Region's main character is a girl. It'll be interesting to see how that arrangement plays out. It seems like she's a full girl, since she's not freaking out in one sample cg where she's taking a bath with one of the heroines, and there's cgs where she's getting it on with other girls.
Oh and its release date's been put to April 25th.
EDIT:
According to the description, the main char had her original body stolen by someone else or something. On getchu, there's a character near the bottom that I think is the one who's currently possessing her old body, and looking at that picture and the one that's kinda darkened out on the homepage's information section, I really cannot tell if it's a girl or a really feminine-looking guy. I think it's a girl though, cause the character's quote has something like going that he/she's (boku) is a feminist so he/she (probably he originally) isn't going to do any weird things to the body.
EDIT2: Or maybe not. I'm still investigating.
So what does the text here say?
http://www.sky-fish.jp/soleil-region/image/regengtop5a1.jpg
EDIT3: It's a little confusing but I think I have it down, or at least one theory of it:
Main character gets her body taken away and gets a shorty girl's body instead. A different character, probably originally a guy, also gets his body taken away and gets put in a body just like the main character's new one. The one in the character ranking poll is that other character.
Over time as we get closer to the release date I'm sure we'll be introduced to the rest of the characters.

Oooh, I got a chance to see some of Time Leap
this definately looks great.
its widescreen friendly in full screen mode. with real time 3D cel-shaded graphics.
sounds like Kousaka Tamaki from To Heart 2 is the main lead, but I did not confirm that.
it seems like it will be mild enough to be a visual novel with just skipping one or two ending scenes, since thats all I play.
I cant believe I have not heard more about this game.
Time Leap is a game by Frontwing. I've been slowly playing it and like it a lot. The main heroine is Nagase Ayumu, although I like the younger Ayumu more. :)

Lyrical DS (http://www.web-marmalade.com/data/product/lyrical_ds/index.html)!
The DS stands for Dramatic Stories. Looks like it's a fandisc full of After Stories for these characters: Asakura Nanao, Takami Rin, Kuu and Arietta of Lyrical Lyric, along with Tsukimiya Kaede of Miraroma, and Yuki Nako of Konneko! It also seems to include a Daidouji Ryouko route for Lyrical Lyric (DO WANT!), and the last story is a Marmalade All Heroines story...wonder how that is. @_@
In any case, this one's on my "to look out for" list now, and I can't wait for Marmalade to publish more information regarding this one, since all the characters involved are all my favorite! >w<

its terribly long.. lol :heh: Its sort of CLANNADish in the sense of its themes thats for sure. Nothing flashy like light globes (lol) but the main character (Tsukasa) isn't exactly one the highly regarded ero-ge MCs around for no reason either. The voices in the voiced version is very good too.

Giniro uses the same script engine (Nscripter) as narcissu. Insani have tools for extracting the resource from the game.
So if you have the original giniro game, just go here:
http://nscripter.insani.org/sdk.html
download the NSAout.rar from there, extract it, then run nasout.exe in the giniro game folder. It will give you all the resources of the game, including music in the ARC folder :D

Glad those anime-only character do not exist and never knew Midori had a different appearance from the PS2 and anime version
Now if only "Sakura no Uta (サクラノ詩)" will be released... It keeps on getting pushed back...

That is correct. Ayumu Nagase is played by someone called 鳥羽すの, which happens to be a pseudonym for 伊藤静, who played Tamaki in ToHeart2.

I'm currently playing "D.C.P.K.~ダ・カーポーカー", a poker game within the Da Capo / Da Capo II universes. Specifically, Texas Hold'em (HELL YEAH!).
Main site here: http://circus.nandemo.gr.jp/sakuhin/dcpk/
I don't know much about the story for this game. One cool thing is, you can choose to play as either Junichi or Yoshiyuki. And here's something creepy, whichever you choose, you will eventually meet characters from both series as opponents. The only exception would be the Suginamis (e.g if you're doing the DC path, only DC Suginami will be an opponent. YOu won't even meet DCII Suginami, but you will meet and eventually have Wataru as one of your opponents)
In addition to regular texas hold'em, there's also something called "Force Card Battle" or FCB. These substitute regular points for cards worth certain amounts of points, and you use them to bet. Unlike regular hold'em, if you lose the hand, those cards are gone for the rest of the match. If you win a hand, you only gain back what you bet. The conditions for winning an FCB are different as well. You only have to take down the host (usually the person with the highest amount of starting points) as opposed to eliminating EVERYONE.
In addition to the standard 4 LEVELS of card, there are also special cards, unlocked by going through a character's path, for use in the final FCB. You can also discover some of these card when the main targets from earlier FCBs play their own card (may or may not happen). These cards have various effects. For example, one card allows you to swap out a card in your hand for a random card, with varying results. At least 2 cards adds additional points to your bet.
I've just finished the second of the 3 final FCBs in the game on a second run-through (second run because I had to reload to an earlier save point to rearrange my card inventory. I kept getting my ass kicked by Minatsu during the final FCB because I didn't have enough points to compete)
I should've mentioned this earlier, but Aquanauts got pushed back to the end of March as well. ;___;

So it seems that KBTKaiser was not the only person here who was interested in D.C.P.K. It does make me wonder if Circus really wants to milk the Da Capo franchise for all its worth... :heh:
I am kinda interested in how the whole plot works, for both Junichi and Yoshiyuki. I think I remember that everyone kinda forgot Junichi/Yoshiyuki and the protagonists find themselves in a casino run by a mysterious green-haired... catgirl named Shiiren (who is voiced by Sakakibara Yui, oh wow :D)?
Is this another of Junichi's/Yoshiyuki's wacky dreams?
P.S. Listening to everyone's Clip #2 (the one with the girls saying "1 card, 2 card, 3 card, Royal Straight Flush~") was a pretty nice experience. I got the best kick from Nanaka and Nemu..

Is this another of Junichi's/Yoshiyuki's wacky dreams?Well, yeah, I'm assuming that it's probably something like C.D.C.D. -- more of an omake disc than anything else, but the sub-stories will probably written so that they could have happened. In C.D.C.D. it was "explained" sort of as a "Suginami presents" sort of thing, so who knows how they'll present it here.
But yeah, with Aquanauts being delayed, I decided to get this game as well. Only problem is that I have no idea how to play poker (watched it on TV a few times, know the basic terms, but...), so this could be interesting! :heh:
And yeah, I guess Da Capo is sort of becoming the "Mario" of the adult gaming world. Take any game concept, add the D.C. characters, and your sales are good to go! :heh: Well, so long as they keep things interesting, it's not like I mind... (/me is obviously in the target audience... :heh: )

BTW, I finished Nemu's path an hour or two after my previous post and here's what I discovered. It's fun to play the final 4 FCBs while listening to a combination of Janne da Arc songs and select tracks from various Touhou Project soundtracks. Seems to fit because default game BGM for those 4 battles sounds a bit darker when compared to the others.

It's an eroge, the pc version is sold out everywhere (they stopped producing it sfter the ps2 ver came put) and there isn't an english translation patch, only an chinese one. While people have bee talking about an english translation, Iwouldn't expect anything for another 2 years or s o. good game though.
Edit: the font suddenly changed, strange...
Not sure how it works, but it looks like some people from Pajamas Soft seem to have split or something and founded a company called Lillian and are making a game called Twinkle Crusaders. The people seem to be the same ones who made Princess Witches, which I've played and thought it utterly rocked.
Playing Nanatsuiro Drops slowly cuz I loved the anime. I'm also playing DCPK atm. It's kinda nice seeing most of the DC and DCII casts together. Story is so-so, poker play is... interesting and fun actually. I'm a DC fan for life, so it's fine by me :)

2. The DJ broadcasted audio from his mic AND FROM HIS PC as he did the review, since he was playing the game (which he completed god knows when) as he was broadcasting.
Here's the premise. He basically went through 3 of the h-scenes plus a few storyline scenes while translating the dialogue for us. I can't seem to say much more. If anyone wants the log for the commentary, you'll have to PM me, as it's NSFW! Same goes for the audio. I'm just

Finally finished Peace@Pieces, Little Busters! and Akane-iro Somaru Saka. It took me long enough xD
Of these three games my fav. was Little Busters! God, just loved this game! The Refrain Episode made me cry all the way to end even though I already had an idea of what was going to happen. This one goes to my TOP Fav. games! 10/10 for this one!
Peace@Pieces was good. The game failed in character development, they all stayed the same from beginning to end. Once you read your way through the game the first time everything from there on you can just sit and skip everything just stopping to click on the choices to enter another girl's route. 6/10.
Finally Akane-iro Somaru Saka. I enjoyed feng's first game: Aozora No Mieru Oka. That and the possibility to can hook up with Mikoto in this game was my incentive to play. All the stories are about getting over the obstacles that prevent you from being with the girl you love. Overall, the game is pretty good, there's plenty of development for every character and the story is ok. 7/10.
Now it's time to play Fortune Arterial, Time Leap and Seiken No Inganock!

In my case, My computer would always get driver errors so i could never play ero-games, But finally figured it out and played school days. So Thats my favorite so far :heh:.
Any ways, i am kind of new to this, So i had a question :).
If a game has japanese only text ( meaning not released in America), what are the ways to translate it to english?
Well i had heard one way is to use Translation softwares and some other softwares to do it . I dont know how to do it yet , But does any one know where i could find a guide for it :)? If so ( if its allowed here ) could some one post a link to a guide or if not allowed in the thread, could some one that knows PM me :)?
Another way that i had head, was that a group had to make a translated patch for it, and that patch would replace the japanese patch or something.
Are these two ways the only ways?
Thanks alot in advance for helpfull tips :).

Reading that about Peace@Pieces is somewhat disappointing. :( I'm still planning on continuing with the game, along with the fandisc, but I don't know if it's worth it, since I have a huge list of titles to go through.
As for Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka, it's a pretty enjoyable title that's worth checking out for people who haven't done so. A lot of scenes in that game cracked me up, particularly Mihato's initial reaction after finding out that Junichi has a wife-to-be. XD
A PS2 port for Akane-iro is coming out. For lulz, try guessing who's going to voice Yuuhi in the port.
Why, who's voicing Yuuhi? It's not Kazune?
I'm playing Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora ni along with Purely right now. Both are rather pretty good titles, though I've yet to explore individual routes. Just finished ExE with Natsuki's and Mio's routes, and I'm thinking of going through Ninomiya's, but...
...I don't really like Aoyama Yukari. >__<

From the things are looking, it doesn't seem that way. It seems that everyone is taking the leak(?) quite nicely. Or it might just be me, and there's something big afoot.
Anyway... is it me or are there more and more willing people to start game translations? At least, in AnimeSuki and among other places in the Internet. Don't get me wrong, this is great... at least more people are interested. :D

Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I am looking for! BTW Can I make choice in visual novel or I should turn to dating sim if I want that?
Oh and what do you recommend is that list you gave?
In most visual novels you can make decisions (exepet in ones like higurashi and narcissu). In some games like ever 17 you have to make somewhere around 40 decisions for every path. Dating sims in english is pretty rare (my definition of dating sims are games where you have to control stats like intelligence and stuff like that. To those who are thinking of little busters, that dosen't count).
For my recommedation, I think it is good if you start with simple and free games like a dream of summer, collage and narcissu (none of them are commercial games and they go from full picture and voice to extreme minamalist). After that you can move on to planeterian (no choices), utawarerumono (part rpg) and other commercial games. I also recommend anything translated by deja vu.
There are some professionally translated vns, but most of tham are nothing but sex and thus not worth the time. But ever 17 (I think this is 15+) and yume miru kusuri (18+) are really great.
If you really like these things you can start learning japanese or chinese since there really isn't many games in english after all. Also, you can start playing come of the partial translations like fate stay night (best selling vn ever), Clannad (better than fate stay night in some respects) and higurashi (best selling doujin ever).
Now if you say you can read other languages the I can really start going, but you only asked about the list, so I'll shut up now.
So the UBW patch has been finaly released! A shame an earlier version was leaked though..

Chaos Head's demo is also up for download.
Thanks for the heads-up! Gonna go check out Chaos Head ASAP.
So I played through the trial ver. once. Wow, really intriguing stuff. Except I haven't figured out what to do with those beeping red and green dots that appear at the top of the screen once in a while... is there a way to make something happen with them, or are they just some kind of signal?
If I could figure out how to extract the script, I might consider translating the demo. Any suggestions? Really interested in the full game now (I mean, not that I wasn't already, but still).

I was a bit confused about them first as well. If you click the green one Takumi will get delusional and quite hilarious scenes can occur.

And I also found it very entertaining, going to be a long month to wait for the full game now.
Gouen no Soleil trial was win! Nagare and Rin's interaction reminds me much of Ryuuhei and Sol's bickering, except this time they added some of that master-servant element from Familiar Spirit so Nagare can coerce Rin to do whatever if she wants her to (no abusive play so far, so don't worry). Nagare is a hilarious protagonist. ;)

You could always try contacting this guy who seems to have Gekkou's engine worked out, and I figure Chaos Head's wouldn't be all that different (but I've never played either, so I wouldn't know for sure). The translation for that project doesn't seem to be moving anywhere fast so he might be able to help.
Unfortunately, it looks like Chaos Head uses .npa archive format instead of .pak like Gekkou and some of the other older-but-not-too-old Nitro games. ;_; I don't know a lot about these things, but I'm guessing that for now I can work up to the first decision point safely (using agth or something to pull out the original text)... I assume that it's once the option for alternate scenes comes up that you really need to have the original script files at hand.
I'll try contacting him (or making a general plea for help at the VisualNews forum) once I've gotten that far. The decision point comes early on, so it shouldn't take long, once I sit down and get my school-related stuff out of the way, haha.

Yeah, can't find .npa on the usual formats list (http://haven.parodius.com/formats/) so it looks like they made up a nice new format to spite you. No idea how hard a new format would be to figure out but yeah, Visualnews or maybe even /jp/ will probably be your best bets. The latter might just jump on you to translate Saya instead though.
Should be okay just translating from AGTH until someone works it out if you do it japanese line/english line style formatting, it'd just take a bit more time than it otherwise would - but probably still less than starting once the format's sorted. The only problem really would be if no one can figure the format out and you've wasted all that work...
I don't really know should I be happy or sad knowing that Chaos;Head is a 15+ game. I guess that shows how much my mind has been corrupted.

Today I finished all the individual routes of FORTUNE ARTERIAL so, before I read the True Ending, I would like to share my thoughts of the game’s story so far.
First, my general impression.
All the routes had their strong and weak points, some more on the latter side. Every time the story reached its climax and you just don’t know what to do with all accumulated tension and suspense then, suddenly, everything ends which is not necessarily bad just “unsatisfying”. This doesn’t mean the story is bad or disappointing is just that (in my case) it leaves you wanting more and more.
As for characters, right now, I’m torn between Kiriha and Erika >.< They are both great characters! Kiriha is… I will quote Kouhei here:
くそっ、なんてかわい人なん
Erika is also lovely, though, on a different way. dere dere Kiriha and Erika are just MOE. Kiriha is slightly lovelier though. Both of them are honest with their feelings towards Kouhei which is good considering the nature of their routes. Also, every time these two girls talk to each other is just hilarious.
Their stories are not directly related but, the concept is basically the same. Of course, they are different enough as not to conflict with each other.
Also, does someone know what the text that appears at the end of Erika’s route says? and, anyone has the ending song for Erika? It's called Akai Yakuzoku.
Next to those two stands Shiro-chan. Quite the innocent type yet, bold which surprised me. She would often take the first step when she and Kouhei enter the love love mode. A good example would be:
Before her first h-scene she fell asleep due to the tiredness accumulated with all the work of the Student Council. When she wakes up, half-sleep, she tells Kouhei if he would like to go to the bed? When Kouhei asks her what she meant by that she reveals to him that she was practicing how to say in her room before coming to his.
After the h-scene she also reveals she took a bath beforehand ‘cause she was expecting THAT to happen that night.
As part of the Tougi house she is very formal in the way she speaks and acts. She works hard as not to be a burden for her brother. There is still some unexplained stuff in her story which I hope will be solved in the True End.
Last but no less come Haruna and Kanade-san (in that order). Haruna and Kanade are the only characters whose past was fully explored yet a HUGE doubt remains in my mind but is just too much of a spoiler to say it… Apart from that, Kanade’s existence is pretty much an extra for Haruna.
Haruna and Kanade are both your childhood friends. Haruna is perhaps the most normal of the girls: Cute yet beautiful, great at house shores such a laundry, cooking, etc. Has a quiet personality and is attentive with the people who surround her. Plus, her club “uniform” is just GREAT :D (Thank Iori for that).
Kanade is noisy and energetic but that is because she always wants everyone to have fun. More of the elder-sister type cares a lot for Haruna and wishes for her to be happy.
Well, so far the game has been pretty good. In numerical value would be around 7 out of 10. For the comments I have read about the True End I hope it goes from pretty good to great or perfect which would be 9/10 and 10/10 :D

Awesome, can't wait to see what you think of FA's true end!
Which reminds me, I have to get started on Yoake and FA soon.

2008-03-26, 12:55
Finished my playing of Yoake Mae Yori iro na and Witch's Slave...
Don't intend to play Sayaka's or Wreathlit's paths (Yoake), or that stupid teacher's path (Witch's Slave).
Yoake... wasn't as good as I expected. Music was nice though.
Maybe I'm just getting fed up off colorless protagonists like this guy, but he really didn't interest me.
I don't have any interest in Sayaka or her path at all, nor Wreathlit's because I would have to go through Sayaka's to get to her. And... I have this feeling the path is going to be on that boring war between the Earth and the Moon...
Didn't really feel this way until my second time through the game, but the game just tends to be a bit overdramatic...
And how annoying that Natsuki can have the most normal relationship with the guy, yet her end felt like a bad/bittersweet/just bitter end...
But made it through Feena's, Mia's, Natsuki's, and Mai's and liked it, though Feena's was a bit of a bore...
Liked Mai's the most, even if it dealt with Sayaka being confused for many days to the point I wished she just hurry and got over with it.
Maybe I will play the remaining paths... just because I like completion...
Never thought I would have enjoyed this game as much as I did... :heh:
I tend to think of Rinon and Takuma's relationship to be just like Louise and Saito's, just that Rinon is far more sadistic, Takuma's more girlish, and it's a H-game. There even was a breast complex thing. :heh:
Amusingly, Rinon gets to play the protagonist and antagonist role in the game, being antagonistic in every character's path except her own. Never thought I'd like her character, but still ended up liking her, despite her being a bit eviller in Sham(sp?)'s path.
Liked Sham's path the most, though the ending was a bit confusing, while Rinon's had a meh end, though enjoyable to watch. Waka simply deserves Takuma more than Rinon, so felt sorry for her when I went to Rinon's path.
The teacher... don't care. Doubt I'll play her path anyways.
Nice game, even if it lacks normal CGs... only has like 4 of them with the rest being HCGs...
Next up... HoneyComing.

I'm well into Amane's arc in Kamipani.
First off it's not all Amane; there's a lot of Koyori, and I think the other two initial arcs (Nonoka and Mizuki) will have bits of her as well. (You have to finish those three first, and then Megumi, and then Koyori).
But right now I would like to say that Kamipani is great. Really good. It's not just another run-of-the-mill erogame. No way. This is clochette's debut work, and they really did their work to make a big impression on their first try.

There was also rumors of an Idolm@asterxTouhou game in the works, but I was unable to collect sufficient info on it...
'Tis a fun April 1st, indeed.

OMG! That DCII one is just... LOL
KEY + Ryukishi07... interesting...
The DC2 one actually even looks decent in some respects. (Nanaka looks great, Otome not so much :D )
Meanwhile, Key is brewing something...
...with Ryukishi07 of Higurashi fame? :heh:

Maeda Jun down as QC this time :heh: Hell, Maeda and Orito doing the music, Tanaka Romeo and Ryukishi07 doing the scenario and that many artists on the CGs? I'd buy it.

I won't, however, ever be able to play DC2 again. Every time I see Otome I'm going to reminded of the manly version's head.
KEY + Ryukishi07... interesting...
That's one killer storyline. :D
I'd buy it!!!

The horrible side of this news is the fact it MIGHT be true, and it is doubting enough that I would buy it as well :heh:.

The sites aren't down, and Hinoue Itaru herself confirmed on her blog.
Key never did an april fool before, and they confirmed the announcement of CLANNAD movie 2 years ago while everyone thought it was an AF.
Considering it is largely past midnight, yep, time for an agonizing wait :heh:
Meanwhile, TYPE-MOON still milks F/SN >_>

I was wondering how is Maeda Jun going to do the QC of the final work. If it is Tanaka Romeo PLUS Ryukishi07, the script is going to be completely out of his control :heh:

And if we add the text of the image, roughly "Is it possible to rewrite? For that girl, it is her fate", I think it will go completely nuts in the dimension/timeline/etc whatever Ryukishi and Romeo will craft. :heh:
Combination of Nakuge/galge and creepy/mind blowing scenarii? DO WANT!

And Maeda Jun is concentrating on producing music this time, just think about Air's "Natsukage" track plus Clannad's "Nagisa" track, these plus the goodness of Orito Shinji - it's going to make one hell of a Nakige :D
The real outcome doesn't really matter anymore, just thinking about it makes me super excited :p
That being said, if this were to come true, it will be a game that's based on a very loose team work. It all comes down to how well could Hinoue Itaru pull everyone together.
Ugh, the more I think about this the more plausible it actually seems.
- Jun Maeda isn't writing the scenario - which ties in with his whole not wanting to write anything new after Little Busters policy. He's just QCing and doing the music. Having him writing would make people even more excited.
- Little Busters didn't do as well as it should with the old writers. Key have lots of money - why not drag a few famous ones in to get people excited about the company again?
- Tonogawa Yuuto is still listed as a writer. His scenarios didn't go down all that well. Replacing him with Maeda would be the more idealistic way (though this doesn't worry me too much with Ryukishi and Tanaka on board).
- The background art and CG staff are all attached to Key normally. It's not like they got the background artist from ef in or anything.
I think I'm about to start getting excited.
that's certainly good news...just when I thought I was happy enough on Clannad After :D
Omg, a title I'll be waiting for now :D
Opening movie for the barely mentioned 11eyes -罪と罰と購いの少女- came out the other day, and is... surprisingly awesome. I had the game down as another 'Like the character designs, otherwise meh' but it actually looks like it has promise now. Still love the character designs, and the opening has an awesome atmosphere to it. And action. And the OP theme is great (as are the BGM samples on the official site).

According to Hemisphere's blog, that game has several mystery elements similar to Persona 3 (Dark Hour-ish time period, w/ blood everywhere and monsters are afoot), which makes it interesting to me. And then, yes, the OP sounds fantastic. :)
The protagonist looks badass too. You just can't beat eyepatches.
btw, hooray for Key's too-good-to-be-true-yet-OMG-it's-really-true AF, Rewrite~ :D
11eyes looks awesome... def. my kind of thing. I didn't know anything about it before, but I'm looking forward to it now.

I'm actually looking out for that one, along with Gouen no Soleil for this month's releases - I'm jut not as vocal with my expectations for it. Yet. XD
Translated the story section of the site just for the hell of it. A little rough around the edges, but functional. I left the colours in just because.
--------------------------------------------
His older sister, who suddenly committed suicide.
5 years have passed since the one-eyed young man Satsuki Kakeru lost his older sister, his last remaining blood relative. Thanks to the support of Minase Yuka, his childhood friend, his heart is now somewhat calm, but somewhere inside of it a feeling of nothingness floats around, and he continues to live out his life without any hopes for the future. The two attend Kouryoukan Academy (popularly 'Nijikou') in the developing city Ayamegaoka. She gets close to the lethargic Kakeru as if it was natural and devotes herself to him, but their relationship does not develop at all. Even so, little by little the two of them continue moving forward, but as if to sneer at them, their fate takes a dramatic turn.
Without any previous warning, the two of them are thrust into a mysteriously transfigured world...
All signs of people disappear, and the world is filled with a silence that makes it seem like an uninhabited ruin.
The sky is dyed the crimson of a fountain of fresh blood, and a jet black moon hangs in the sky.
Ayamegaoka had been turned into a desolate world with no one other than themselves.
Under the great black moon, Kakeru and Yuka had been left behind in the World of Red Night.
Instead of people the town was filled with grotesque looking beings wriggling around, and Kakeru and Yuka had no choice but to run.
After a short time had passed, they returned from the World of Red Night to reality, but they return to it suddenly, regardless of time or place.
Exhausted by this repetition, their lives are exposed to danger.
During this, Kakeru and Yuka notice that there are another humans, companions, besides themselves who have been thrust into the World of Red Night.
One uses Onmyoudou (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onmyoudou) techniques to overwhelm their enemies, and another beats about their enemies with otherworldly combat strength.
The humans they met in the World of Red Night possessed different abilities, each outside the realms of their common sense.
Kakeru and Yuka included, the humans in the Red Night numbered six.
They decided to cooperate with one another in order to survive.
However, six shadows with clearly murderous intent stood in their way.
Kakeru and the others were forced into a life-or-death battle with the six Black Knights, who hold power that cannot be compared with the other monsters.
Though their reasons for fighting differed, through their time spent together in school, and their time spent fighting together, it became a battle to protect their priceless companions.
Before reaching the truth of the Red Night through heroic battles, what kind of choices will they make?

Looks pretty good. Anyone knows anything about the story? From the OP I can tell some people seem to have some kind of guardian. Anyway, looks like an action packed game. Looking forward to it.
Finally starting reading Seiken No Inganock. I'm currently on the third chapter. So far, an interesting game. The story is a bit weird but interesting. Every character has a story to tell either related to their current situation or to the "Revival" ten years ago. Salem's secret was just O_O.
About characters. There are plenty of characters so I will just talk about the main three.
Gy (Main Hero) seem to have a dark past he can't and doesn't want to remember. Wanders the many lower layers of the city of Inganock healing people for free with his "Cracking" ability. His actions seem to be illegal but he doesn't care about it.
Then is Aty. After The Revival 10 years ago her body mutated into a hybrid of cat and human. She has been Gy's friend for quite some time now. I still don't have a clear idea of what she does but, she is kinda like a mercenary. She protects stuff/steals/??? for her clients.
Finally is Kya. The Mysterious Girl Gy saved from being kidnapped. He also almost got killed during the process until Aty kicked and saved him. No one knows anything about her and she won't speak either. She is currently living with Gy and helping him with his work as a doctor by which she dyed some of her clothes to white 'cause according to her: Doctors must have nurses!.
Well, that is all, for now.
Edit: Wow! Thanks for translating the story, Valdra! Looks pretty good. Being a long time since I played an action filled eroge!

I'm guessing that based on the OP (and some hints on the site), that those six guardians are directly related to the six main characters. >__>;

Is it bad when I remember Shuffle's Kaede and Rin when I read those circumstances? Though, with an albeit more depressed Rin and a cuter Kaede... :heh:
Also, it seems that there's still a connection between the six people , besides some of them (or is it all of them?) having supernatural powers and the obvious factor of being able to travel into the World of Red Night, and the 6 Counter-G... Black Knights. :D
Typemoon doing something else then a Fate/Stay Night Fandisk/Novel etc? I don't know what to believe anymore... Well it has a webpage now but there's nothing there yet, more information will be revealed in the next Tech Gian.
