everything's fine except their voices. they're raspy and weak, they're hardly coming through. anyone know how to fix this?

hhmm.. does the other play programs normal, at least the sound?

Check your speakers audio properties and options, update audio drivers, if that doesnt solve it then their something wrong with your Media player or you dont have the right audio codecs, remove all codecs then follow the media configuration guide sticky here (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=175) I think you only need to install the ffdshow Alpha for playback of most fansubs.
