Is anybody here watching these series?
So far I´m loving every ep (just sad ep 5 has something wrong in the code when I dl´ed it T_T)
Ashita no Nadja is about a girl travelling around Europe with a "troupe" to find her mother (who for many years thought was dead). Yep, it´s a shoujo ^^
First I was just curious to see the new job by Izumi Todo. I loved previous Ojamajo Doremi so sure I´d give it a chance to Nadja. Though this one is not as much on the comedy side (as Doremi was) it sure has a cute and well told story (at least up to ep 12 which is where I´ve seen) as well as good animation and nice cg graphics in some points.
Like in Doremi, there´s quite a selection of characters, most of which you´ll finde more than twice in the series for sure, but all have well defined personalities.
I recomend it to everyone who likes shoujo :)
Oh, and if you´ve seen it already please comment ^_~*
Yes! I love Ashita no Nadja. I started to feel like I was the only one. xD It's really cute. I can't wait to see the rest~ ^_^

Heh. You're not the only one that loves this cute little show. I really hope that more gets subbed soon. It's a surprising blend of sweetly stereotypical with spicy unpredictable. Of course they know when they are following the standard stereotyples which is why they enjoy breaking the predictable events once in a while.
See my avatar and you'll know you are not alone.
First few episodes are more warm-heartening and cute. But the plot got darker and more heart wrenching in the 30ish episodes when more secrets about Nadja and her mother and family were revealed. The show is quite stereotypical as NoSaninWa mentioned but I'm totally addicted to it even though I can somewhat guess what will happen next. :)

yay! now I see I´m not alone ^-^!!!
Yep, I also think it´s typical but somehow, as with Doremi, they always do something to surprise you, either with story or character development.
lordwu, I also want a Nadja avatar now I´ve seen yours hehe (just need a little bit of time with my photoshop :P
So, you´ve seen up to ep 30 O_O (do you live in Japan?)
I´m also looking forward to anything that comes out from these series :)

Geez.. Now it's gonna be harder for me to wait for the rest of the eps! :heh:

I was being lazy and just cut part of the image I found on the official website (http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/nadja/) so it doens't really look good. I'd like to redo it when I get more time.

No, I don't live in Japan. I just got the raws from P2P network. I was waiting for AC releases but finally gave in and decided to get the raws instead last week. Spent two days to get episode 13-40. The most recent episode aired in Japan is 41 so AC has a lot of catchup to do. ;)

oh I see ^^
sigh, I´ll just have to wait for AC release since bt is the only p2p program I´m abble to use and also because I don´t understand a bit of Japanese ^^u (well, right know after watching so many hours of anime I know the introductions like "Hi, my name is", "Good Night/Morning/Afternoon" but not much more than that hehe)
As for my av, I guess I´ll make it from a cap from some cute scene or something. thanks for the oficial page :)
According to Futari wa Purikyua (Pretty Cure) official site (http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/precure/), it will start airing on Feb. 1, 2004 at 8:30am. This is the exact same time slot as Ashita no Nadja and Pretty Cure can very well be the show that replaces Ashita no Nadja. If this is indeed the case, the last episode of Ashita no Nadja will be aired on Jan. 25, 2004 and will make it a 50 episode series. (Current episode is 42 which was aired on Nov. 30)

I just watched the most recent batch of Ashita no Nadja episodes from AC. This show is getting better and better. I'm posting mostly because of a surprise that I realized after seeing The Secret of the Black Rose in episode 19.
I have suspected that Francis is the Black Rose for ages, just as I'm sure that everyone else has. Naturally enough I also suspected that he was the knight who helped Nadja just after the orphanage burned. After Nadja met Francis and thanked him for helping her in the woods, strangely he insisted that the Knight wasn't him. I've been wondiering about that ever since. After all, why would he lie? Perhaps Francis has a twin brother that was separated at birth?
Then we got to episode 19.... talking with the Black Rose, Nadja mentions a good nobleman that she met. She says the words, "noblesse oblige" and he reacts like she stabbed him with a start and a gasp. An surprisingly strong reaction. If he remembers saying them to her, then he shouldn't be surprised to hear them repeated back. If he didn't say the words, then why should they mean anything to him?
Just after that she mention's Francis' name. Once again he starts and gasps. Why such a strong reaction to something so trivial? I now have a new theory as to what the secret of Kuro Bara is. A theory that also includes the mystery of why Francis insisted that he wasn't the Moonlit Knight.
I think that Francis might be a split personality. He honestly doesn't know that he's met Nadja in two other guises. Similarly Black Rose might not know that he has met Nadja before either. I'm a bit hesitant to believe this since it seems so unusual for a show of this genre, but it does explain why Nadja's words were so disturbing to Kuro Bara. He knew them only inside his head, from the part of himself that isn't himself.

lol, I was planning to make a "No Love for Nadja?" thread tonight but guess there is some love out there. ^^
I've watched from episode 30 till the end, and now I'm downloading the fansubs to catch up on what I missed. Simply put, Nadja is the BEST shoujo I have ever seen, I have rarely watched an anime this engrossing. Unlike others, there's no henshin sequence, no monsters, no fan service, no "I'm late for school," no school in fact. There is some hokey Cinderella romance, but, esp later, it focusses more on Nadja's journey to find her mother. The animation is above average, OP and ED are great, the music is BEAUTIFUL, the drama is captivating, and the villain (not Herman ;) ) is just the most evil in all anime. ^^ So I was sad to see it replaced by the more-downloaded generic shoujo Pretty Cure.
Anyway, just want to announce that in an hour or two, I'm by God leaving my computer on and seeding all the episodes for the next three days. I'm really hoping this show will catch on with more of you guys because I really want it licensed. This is the first anime I've seen that I know would be better dubbed since all these British people speaking Japanese is just kinda weird. ^^
Oh, and kudos to the fansubbers for doing a super job and not using any fancy font effects. :)

Actually Francis does have a twin brother, Keith. They were not separated at birth though.

Do my eyes decieve me? The next set of Nadja episodes are up on BT?? YES!! We may get through this series yet, though I'm still praying this series gets licensed soon because it was made to be heard in English. ;)
Anyway, I just finished downloading it and will be seeding the show for the next six hours, so if you've never seen the greatest shoujo in recent history, now's your chance! :)
Once again, thanks to Anime Co for refusing to give up on this wonderful show and doing an excellent subbing job, too!

Episodes 25 and 26 are out. It seems strange to get only 2 episodes at a time. Still, both of them were more than usually wonderful episodes and I'm very glad to get them. I just wonder what inspired AC to put them out before they finished the batch.
I loved episode 26, "The Other Francis." On one hand it was a wonderfull falling in love episode. Watching Nadja babble on while (Francis) watched her with a smile was wonderful. The two of them eating tomatoes was wonderful. Honestly more shows should think of doing an episode like this so we can see the progression of falling in love instead of simply telling us that they love each other and expecting us to believe it.
Of course in this show the kind've need to show us such things because there is an honest to goodness romantic conflict!!!
I'm not used to that in anime. Generally when there is a question of different love interests the answer is telegraphed boldly without leaving much room for doubt no matter how much we want to doubt it. There are a few exceptions, but not many. This one is a pleasant exception because after flirting with the truth for so long we finally find out that... the Black Rose is NOT Francis!!!!!
Stary-eyed Knight = Black Rose. Black Rose <> Francis. Shock! I was really expecting them to be a multiple-personality which would have been unusual in its own right. Instead we find out that they are different people. Though I thought of the angle that they could be separated twins (read my post #10 above), I didn't believe it. And just after discovering that fact, Nadja suddenly finds out that the man she spent such a delightful afternoon with was actually the Black Rose who she has a mad-on for.
Just delightful.

Ep. 25-26 are wonderful eps!
AC made a very good decision imo ;-D
Love ep 26.
Nadja's true knight finally shows his face. It seems they always had Francis in white and the 'other Francis' in black. Somehow, the 'other Francis' was drawn with a more mature look or is it my imagination? Hmm... wonder who will Nadja choose... Francis or the 'other Francis' that is the question... :D I like the 'other Francis' more of course.

1) I had no more eps translated right now, but I hope that will change when one of the translators get back soon
2) being a 50 ep series, there would be a 2 ep batch somewhere anyway, and I thought this place fit nicely
The name of this "other" Francis, you will get to know in ep 30 iirc... For those who want to know now, I can say Keith Harcourt .
And was there noone that thought about the obvious hint from ep 2 together with ep 5?
Black Rose and White Rose...
And I think there are many hints that point to that they were not the same... (unless you count split personality theories :) )

After some months my college blocket out downloads, I´ve finally been able to see eps 25 and 26 (and suspect I´m missing some of the previous ones too) Both were great though I spoiled myself the surprise a while ago while looking at some Japanese fanart site ^^U and now I´ve seen "him" ...
...who I like more? Keith, I like his darker personality. Francis is like, at some point, much more like a typical Prince Charming, too perfect :P.
As for episode 26 in general, I loved evrything, I guess this is where you people who have seen the complete series say the story gets darker. The atmosphere I felt was quite different. I even found some composition in some scenes that reminded me of Utena, not really sure why.

I too just finished watching the first 26 episodes of this series. I must admit that I am anxiously awaiting more, which is very rare for me because I'm usually very patient about waiting for fansubs since I understand how much time it takes to get it done.
Another thing I love about this series is the music. It's just fantastic! I was so thrilled to hear Clair de Lune in the background in 26. It's such a beautiful piece!
I'm very glad that this series is being subbed. ^^ It's just such a delightful story!

Compare it to? Nothing like Utena or Princess Tutu. It's a show which seems a lot like a typical shojo adventure anime. It's got all the usual trapings: Cute toys to merchandise, handsome men, cute characters, wicked villians. It seems quite stereotypical at first. After the few episodes though, the show gets deeper and more interesting. Some people turn out to be more than they seem and others turn out to be quite different from what you thought. Also, as she travels from country to country in the 19th century we get an interesting travelogue.
I'd definitely recommend it, but it isn't nearly on the level of Utena or Princess Tutu.

I have seen the 26th episode and I am more and more keen to know the following events. Please, is there someone who know how to have episodes after the 26th, even if it's not translated?
Besides, I think it is even more mature than princess tutu and better.
Its so nice to see ashita no nadja back on track! Thanks to the fansub group (AC) for releasing epi 31.

i just don't understand how come such a high quality show which is so interesting doesn't get licensed in USA?? (or any country that'll release english subbed dvds)
aspecially now when the director gets even more known with his unique direction in Ouran High School Club.

Unfortunately it's unlikely that it will ever get a US release. One reason is that there's probably not a large enough market for it there, and another is that TOEI is the company that sits on the rights to it.
The best you can hope for is a european release that have english subtitles on it, but even that is unlikely. If you know french, german or spanish or italian, chances are much higher that you'll be able to get it in a language you understand, some day.
I wonder if I should mention that I have another episode coming up soon... hopefully before the end of the month, but no promises.
mm.. can't wait. :]
what's the issue with TOEI?
The issue with TOEI is just that they are difficult to deal with.
neko, why don't you try to join your release with another group..?
you only need a translator i'm sure there'll be groups who'd love to help.. ^^" (as i said, especially now with Ouran's popularity)
and i'd love to help with timing if you need.. (sorry don't know japanese)
ah.. can't think of any group who'd like to help..? ^^"
We have translator, timer, tlcheck, editor and encoder...
What we don't have is time.
Maybe it would be faster to work with another group, but working with others bring other problems.
Alone (only AC) or with others (if I can find someone I can trust enough), I will see it finished or licensed before I can finish.
Even if it takes awhile, I am thrilled to hear that you will be finishing the series.

Thanks again for the latest episode.
I just noticed ep. 33 and got to it. Hope to be able to watch it soon. I check the site quite sporadically for possible updates, like once every three months. LOL I'm happy to see AC is still doing this. I hooked up a friend to this series recently and she asked me for the rest. I tell her to be patient of course. Every ep. is worth waiting for. Thanks to the people still working on this project. It's nice to know you expect to either finish or see it licensed. :)
I just started watching this series today, and all I have to say is wow. It's been a while since I've watched a shoujo anime, so I was really in the mood for cute, and this sure is. Just sad that there's only up to episode 33 out (that I could find).:(
34 will be released when it's ready to be released.
It's been translated and timed, and currently going through editing and tunings.

I watch this anime rigth here, in Brazil, on TV. And is one of my favourite animes ever, on TV. ^^"
Work is pretty much finished on ep 34.
It just has to be approved for release by some people.
Unfortunately both of my internet connections suffer from hosed upload currently, so I can't send it to the people that need to check it, or serve it on bittorrent.
I should be able to release within days.

Hey nekodar thanks for the latest release, and what are AC plans on completing the whole series? Are you guys doing a eps at a time to see where it goes, or are there plans to do all 50 eps?
Yeah, thanks nekodar. I lost all of Nadja when my hard drive died and am now trying to download it again.
Will you guys be doing 4 episodes batches of the already released episodes again (26 and up)?
I have no current plans to group the episodes from 26 and up until it's time to make a 26-50 batch.
Batch releases only work when I have enough work done on 2-4 episodes to be able to release them within a short time of each other. It doesn't make sense to hold one for months while waiting for the next.
Some of the people involved are currently somewhat hard to reach, so I can't say anything about when the next episode(s) are expected to arrive.
All I can say is that the series has reached the part where it gets really good. If you thought it was good before, it's only getting better.
And now I'm encoding 35... at last.
Hopefully it won't take as long between 35 and 36 as it has taken between 34 and 35...
(if there are any viewers left out there <.<)

By all means feel free to post relevant fansites here.
The most comprehensive site i've found so far is http://www.niko-niko.net/nadja/index.shtml which has a nice collection of wallpapers, a travel guide, each characters profile, the music albums and quite a bit more, it's the best website i've seen on "Ashita no Nadja"
http://www.dusted-dreams.net/nadja/caps/index.html is just pure images of different areas throughout the whole series, and theres some pretty cool ones in there
http://fan.lucidify.com/nadja/ is the fanlisting site for "Ashita no Nadja"
http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Ashita-No-Nadja/ has most of the dvd covers of each of the chapters of "Ashita no Nadja" or at least i think it's most, theres 13 there and some more random nice pics
http://community.livejournal.com/ashitanonadja/profile i haven't as yet investigated, but it prolly explains itself
hope that helps fans of "Ashita no Nadja" if they were looking for good sites, all of those ones are in english
http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/nadja/index2.html is the Toei Animation section for "Ashita no Nadja" and has some brief overviews of things, but it's in japanese, so i used the google translator to get it into english Beta
I hope this helps people looking for stuff on "Ashita no Nadja" and i hope theres nothing in this post tht shouldn't be, if needed i'll edit things out, hope it helps tho
We have only recently discovered Ashita no Nadja and watched all available subbed episodes (until 36) that we were able to find.. Really looking forward to seeing the rest of them. Thanks and keep up the good work!
I stumbled upon this series a short while ago and I've already watched 1-36. Thank you nekodar for making these available to us! I can't wait to see what happens next. :)

Please let there be more...
There are so many scenes unique to this series. Episode 26 14:05-15:55 is my current screen saver, I can't enough of it.
When Ashita no Nadja started airing back then I didn't have BitTorrent. In fact, I didn't know what BitTorrent was, until 1) I stumbled upon the AnimeSuki page the very first time, and 2) a friend of mine helped to download, install, and opening the ports for the software. That was on November 2003.
Over two years later Cartoon Network started broadcasting the show in my country. I have to say that the beautiful and colorful animation became a visual experience to me, but I became engaged more with the story breaking up the predictable conventionalities of the earlier episodes.
It was nice to see that the Spanish dub was so faithfully close to the Japanese broadcast in terms of translation to the theme songs, the dialogue, and all of the characters' names; not forgetting the dub enjoyed zero: trimming, editing, phased out scenes, cuts, and cancelled episodes.
Now that another friend of mine reintroduced me to Nadja last week I made my decision to rewatch the show, but this time it is the Japanese broadcast that I have started to watch since right now I'm downloading [AC] batch torrent for episodes 1-25.
For a note I will take my time and won't get over a rush to watch all the episodes in one go. I will enjoy watching each episode in its given time.

omg, i thought i was the only one that watched nadja. lol
i'm dying to see ep.37!! i wonder when it's going to come out...
apparently nadja was much popular in the eu than in japan.
Is there any news as to how long it's going to take before episode 37 comes out? or far along it is or similar, i'm sure i'm not the only one wanting to know, but thought i'd put the question to the forum in any case, hopefully someone knows:)

yeah i was wondering that also... but by the looks of it i don't tink it'll come out soon, if not ever.
i wish i could help with the fasubbing too, i can do both english and japanese lol. the eps will come out a lot quicker. ;)
i mean, if only someone could give me the unfasubbed videos...
hmmm i'd love them to come out quicker, i read somewhere that it's stalled from AC, which is why i asked in here... i don't know how to get the original ones, i suppose you would have to type Ashita no Nadja in jap. and see what comes up with torrents, thats of course if you can read jap. easy as well, i wouldn't mind getting a hold of it in jap. so at least i know what happens, even if it is in straight jap. i'd pick up bits and pieces of it, so far i only know a little jap. from watching anime, at least you know jap. properly though:), but oh well will just have to wait i suppose and hope something comes out soon, would love to help out with it too... if i knew how,lol

yeah i can speak jap. fluently and i am also an aussie (at heart) lol. i'm pretty good at english...i was the best in my class in 6th grade. i reckon i can translate nadja without a dictionary...it's pretty easy
well, as for nadja....i'd love to ask nekodar if she/he can give me the originals and email it to me or something.
i don't think there are torrents online...even in japanese. been looking for them everywhere still can't find 'em. the only way to get hold of the originals without asking nekodar is to buy the DVD and rip from it, but they are REALLY pricey, like 5000 yen for one dvd which contains 4 eps (5000 yen is equivalent to 50 bucks).
so, what do you think?????

A "joint" is what it is called when two fansubbing groups join their efforts to release a show together. In this case since you don't have a group it would be more correct to ask if AC would let you join their group.

thanks a lot! just one more qustion: how do you go to one of the irc channels? i entered irc.animeco.org in the address bar but it won't come up. i also tried irc.plan9.de but all that comes up is a university homepage in german (wtf?). lol.

you'll probably have to hang out there a while. depending where they are in the world they could be in bed or at work. Just say that your interested in helping with the project and then wait. One of the staff will get to you eventually. Also try the other channel listed, since they have 2 channels

I have to LOL at this for a few reasons:
- Seeing the Nadja thread pop it's way back up.
- Hearing that it hasn't been finished subbing after like 4 years now?
- Hearing that Animeco is technically still doing it and hasn't dropped :)
I watched the first couple episodes and it seemed like a fairly interesting story, although the blatant merchandising at the end was kinda a turn-off.
sakilicious
2008-01-15, 08:13
okay. thank you for all your advice.
but do you actually have to be in a group to fansub anyway???? i don't get it. i could just blow my pocket money on the dvd and fanub that, i've got a subtitling program installed. 'cause getting to the ac staff will probably take a looooooooong time.
Tiamat's Disciple
2008-01-15, 08:17
no you dont have to be, but it helps time wise. While your translating one episode another can be encoding, another qcing and so on and so on. There's no reason at all why you can not do it alone, some groups start out that way.
If you devide to do it alone though, you might want to advertise for help in the other forum though, better to work as a team than to solo it, if only for a second set of eyes for spoting mistakes.
sakilicious
2008-01-15, 08:32
wwwoow this is all very complicated and tiresome.:eyespin:
i'll see if the ac staff reply, if they dont after a few days then i'll think about the dvds. thanks  . i'll post if theres any news. good night (10:30 here.)
sakilicious
2008-01-16, 02:20
i dunno if this is good news or bad news, but i have contacted the ac staff today, and asked if i could help with the fansubbing.
they said no.
BUT they told me they'll give me the raw videos and make them available for p2p share, within a week. if they don't....then we'll have to think of another solution, i guess...
anyway i'll fansub them once they're available for p2p sharing.
apparently they are very very busy and don't have time to do the fansubbing.
Yays! at least my questions got someone motivated into doing something about it,lol, it'll b good to at least get the raws of nadja, ep 36 is just cliff hanger that you need to see the next ep ASAP, i was hoping it'd only be a couple of months, but peeps get busy i spose. it'd be good if you find it too diff to encode the translation into the show if you release the eps with a script of the translation, itd be at least something to go on even if you did have to stop/start the ep, it's worth it to know what's happening! i'm surprised how many posts came up in a couple of days though, lol, didn't come online then had to read over a page worth of posts, nice change! :) thanks for offering to translate some of the eps Sakilicious :) would be fantastic!
sakilicious
2008-01-17, 05:55
nah i dont think itll be all that difficult...i have a proper computer installed on my comp. for the subs. but i dont know how to release it as a torrent, that's the problem...
well i dont have the raws yet so we cant say anything for sure, but once i get it...:eyespin:
anyway, stay tuned.

2008-01-17, 07:09
If you use uTorrent as your BT client it's easy, just select make new torrent from the menu.
For the tracker, use something like NyaaTorrents
once you've released some of it my bro will prolly put it on the dozen or so torrent sites he goes on n link em all together, he did tht with the other eps seeing as it took so long to find some of em, and to Hopefully make it just tht bit more popular:) so once you've got it on a torrent site i can get it spread out across a bunch of others so more peeps can access it:)
sakilicious
2008-01-18, 07:26
 thank you all . i actually have BitTorrent as my client... i don't think it makes that much difference...
anyway come back to this thread after a few days. all we can do now is wait for the raws' release.
it's no problem, most of us love this series and want to help when/where we possibly can :) and we should be thanking you for offering to translate the last eps, i'll try to help where i can but don't know how much use i'll be :/
just drop a message in here though when they release the raws, would be good to know about! :)
sakilicious
2008-01-22, 16:34
ok....its been a week and they havent done it...
i guess ill have to rent the dvds.
NoSanninWa
2008-01-22, 17:40
You could try nagging them, but renting the DVDs might be the best option.
maybe just try to send a reminder to em, we can always hope that it'll work... tho nagging them does sound like fun i think it would very quickly get on their nerves especially if they're pretty busy at the moment, so a simple reminder will hopefully work, i'm not sure how you got in contact with them and don't know how to use irc so i can't do it... tho if they don't reply theres always the possibility of a few of us sending them a friendly reminder, it's always worth a try
sakilicious
2008-01-24, 16:36
yeah the dvds are probably the best, nagging them doesnt sound like a good idea they probably will not like being nagged anyway, at least not by me lol. just wait for a while until i rent them.
sakilicious
2008-01-29, 08:02
oh and by the way I had contacted them through irc. :/
Tiamat's Disciple
2008-01-29, 08:11
renting and riping them should give you a better quality raw anyway, since if memory serves they were releasing TV rips. DVDS rips should be a lot higher quality (in theory atleast lol)
sakilicious
2008-01-30, 05:04
yeah i think so too...lol
and yes they(animeco) said they were going to release the tv rips. i dunno how good the quality is, but dvd sounds better.
renting it is half the price as buying a new second-hand one, so buying the dvd is better for me (i don't need subtitles anyway).
so. wait for at least a couple weeks until i somehow manage to get my hands on it... i will fansub it.
Tami_Kitty-Chan
2008-01-31, 01:01
i love this seris!! but i its been what 4 months now since any ep came out? sakilious that be way too awesome if you fansub the show!!
well presumably the raws that they were going to be releasing were going to be about the same quality as the shows they released previously so the same quality as ep 1-36 that they have already released, and they seemed pretty good quality to me, but hopefully someone will suddenly realise that they forgot about releasing the raws and release them fairly soon, we can hope so in any case :)

i will upload them on free hosting sites like Mega upload.. is that ok? or if you want irc i will try to send them to u if you like. ^_^
just tell me how u want them and i will do it ^_^
the episodes are 200 mb. yup very big XD
and btw, you will be working with A.C.A (we are really glad that we were able to give you the chance to watch what happend to poor Nadja) ^^
this sounds kool hope things get underway on it, and that everything goes well, just wondering what A.C.A stands for, haven't heard of it, i know AC though... so unless a spinoff of that ... anyways thought i'd ask :), and thanks for helping us Nadja fans out! :)

mieko, i'm a girl, by the way, just so you know. haha.
lol:) , well i guess it can be hard to tell someones gender from just a name, though i suppose in japanese it could be only a girl's name or something related to girls:), but can't blame the non native speakers for getting something like that wrong:) But it's Fantastic that Ashita no Nadja is getting underway again can't wait for it! SiRence is lucky that they only have to wait a few weeks, most of us have been waiting for months for this awesome shows next ep! :D thanks for working on it people!

Infinite Zero is taking on Nadja? Or just you?
I suppose it is a nice replacement for Dragonaut, eh? This should help you to regain your sanity after translating Kazuki's inane dialogue.
Whatever the answers: Thank you very much. That kind of bad news is hard to tell from good news. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! I chortled in my joy.
Technically, I am Infinite-Zero. As long as I continue to sub, the group will exist even if everyone else stops. There are other folks now but if they end up tiring of fansub work, it wouldn't be a death knell like it is for others. I can do the entire process nowadays and I only had one person regularly helping during Dragonaut's primary process.

I already talked to mash, pwned.
AnimeCo still hasn't dropped Nadja... the TLs are done for a few eps ahead and have been done for awhile - argh where are you, mash? D:
I'm too eager and enthusiastic to know how Ashita no Nadja continues. Today I have at last finished to watch the latest of AnimeCos' fansub releases for Nadja which was episode 36.
It took me a little over three months of continuous, torrent downloading to watch from the first episode to thirty-six.
Episode 36 ended on a cliffhanger full of anxiety.
Herman is a rotten wart. A selfish pig like anyone else who willingly let's himself or herself be consumed by greed and unwanted desires, be it noble or plebeian, that schemes and devises to amass the Ducal Preminger fortune for himself.
The reason I hate him so much is that he never sees at all the considerations and gentleness that his sister Collete, Nadja's mother, has provided to both stand and defend him from their Father, the Duke.
I feel pitiful for Collete, that she's like Nadja in that both possess a quite naive shade of the real world. I wonder if Collete will still forgive Hermann, once at the climax and conclusion of the story she finds out that her brother brought the imposter to pose as Nadja only to secure the inheritance of the Ducal for himself?
The same pity and condolence go to Hilda and her son, Oscar.
I know that this anime is shoujo, and in stories like Nadja at the end the heroine plus all the people who have supported her along the way all reap their happy endings, while the main villian and his lackeys are defeated, punished, and falling from grace.
I only hope that Herman rots, and that Rosso & Bianco get their lights knocked out cold by the Dandelion Troupe.

Shouta thanks for tanslating Nadja. ^^
we will continue working on it. ACA Group already did timing for episodes 38-43 and finished uploading them. The Karaoki for the opening and ending is ready too. ^_^
we are waiting for epi 37, sakilicious done translating it, and last i have heard from her that she is checking the timing for it ^^

Guido
well.. Rose Marry is no better than him -.- she is an evil person. how can she do such a thing to her friend who helped her?
Even though I have two more episodes translated by Dragosmore, I just haven't had the time to work on Nadja anything in a while.
If Shouta can get the rest of the work done and finish the series, I have no problem with that.
My part may then be reduced to providing raws if necessary.

Don't bother with the OP/ED TBH. The important thing is the meat of the episode. I stoped watching OP/ED's ages ago and just fast forward straight through to the actual episode these day.
Though i'm in agreement with NoSanninWa, take your time to get it right. We've waited a long time for someone to finish the series off, we can wait a longer :)

This should do it for now NoSanninWa: http://www.nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=15611
Akizuki, for future releases you should use NyaaTorrents: http://www.nyaatorrents.org/
or get one of ScaryWater's trakers, they used to be easy to get, just go and ask for one in their IRC chat room. we got one 2 hours after asking

Actually AnimeSuki prefers AniRena (http://tracker.anirena.com/) to Nyaatorrents because it is more compatible with our scan, but that torrent will suffice. In the future AniRena would be appreciated, unless you get a scarywater (http://a.scarywater.net/) or edwardK (http://bt.edwardk.info/trac/wiki/SignUp) account.
Also, can you tell me what A.C.A stands for? This torrent is on our site now, but with very minimal group information.

Can't wait to see more... and you notice something??
Everything that takes a long time to complete, finish, or make, takes a much shorter time after the product is finished to enjoy... (ie: Roller Coaster Lines to wait, ski lifts, midnight snacks, straight teeth, essays/papers, books, ect., ect.,) :D
I've been waiting for almost 4 years to find out what happened to Nadja and her crew, and until a few months ago I'd given up hope of ever finding out. I've been mostly a silent lurker on this forum, but I really want to thank you guys for taking the time out and for doing this!!! It's amazing that you guys began subbing Nadja not because you're a fansub group but because people really wanted to know what happened in the end. So, thank you to everyone who helped in it (especially those few people that kept this forum alive) and I definitely can't wait to see the next episode!
seriously, Nadja is such an underrated anime and IMO its by far better than any other shoujo anime i've ever seen. so the lack of subbers for this show has been incredibly frustrating on us viewers, but you guys are gonna finish it and I really can't express how grateful I am to you all !!!
Good job! And THANK YOU!!!! i'm sure there are more Nadja fans out there that are just lurkers in this forum (like i used to be), so don't think that noone cares if your subbing it! cause we do!!!!!.
And keep up the good work!!! :kisskiss:
yeah thanks to sakilicious for taking the time to translate the episodes :) and to Akizuki Mieko and the rest of the A.C.A for working on Ashita no Nadja and to get the episodes going again for all of us fans to watch! it's fantastic to Finally be able to watch the next episode and boy is Rosemary turning out to be a real piece of work! the preview for the next episode makes her look really scary, and she seems to really know how to twist things to her advantage! i just hope Nadja and all her friends don't get too badly hurt by what Herman and Rosemary get up to. i also hope that Keith is alright with all the wounds he sustained:/ anyways thanks again to everyone working on it, it looks Great! and keep up the good work:D

I'm seeding now for the episode 38 and most of peers gonna finish it soon, so leave us comment here (or PM me/Akizuki) about translating, effect's, and encoding please to improve our work.
Enjoy the show :D
Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D
Some constructive criticism: I noticed the audio and video still seem a tiny bit off, not as much as episode 37 (actually 37 was weird because in the beginning the audio on my video seemed off by a lot, but later on it didn't seem off as much?), but just a bit. However, it's pretty close so it doesn't really bother me that much.
As for the translation, it looks good except I noticed the "ap" was missing from "appearance" and the "P" from "Preminger" at one point and "frightened" was capitalized by accident. Other than that, I think the translation was great and I like your white font. It's very clear and readable.
All in all, I think ACA did a great job! Thank you so much again! I'm really enjoying your releases!

First I'd like to thank you for removing your logo from the show. I found it a bit distracting last episode. Now it's just on screen for a few seconds while your group name is displayed and I really appreciate this change a lot.

Well, I finally let myself the chance to watch episode 37 since downloading it a week ago; like to watch the episode one by one in their given time.
My thanks go to Akizuki Mieko, sakilicious, and all the staff of A.C.A. for continuing this wonderful story.
As everyone commented, Rosemary is pulling out her dirty tricks, with help of her victimized girl drama and innocent demeanor, to discredit Nadja.
Episode 38 is going to get nasty when Nadja confronts Rosemary.
BTW, I have downloaded episode 38 yesterday, but I'll wait for another time.
Anyways, keep up with the good work and take both your time and pace to finish subbing the remainder quarter of episodes to the series.;)

Having seen episode 38 I hate Rosemary. Hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE! (It makes me feel like Kefka.) She's just so... cleverly despicable. When she is finally unseated I am going to be really, really happy. I know she's a pathetic person who really needs to do this sort of thing to bolster her weak self-esteem, but stealing someone's mother is a crime so low I never even imagined it before. :( It makes me feel bad for not just Nadja, but also for Nadja's mother who might end up thinking this selfish conniver is actually her daughter. :(

yea.. me too me too me tooooooo >_>"
what makes me so angry is that Nadja's uncle and her friend are doing this to her.
and to her mother.... (friend, uncle/Brother).. it hurts more when your friend hurt u more than just a stranger!!
i wonder how would the mother feel when she realize that her brother did that to her daughter..
Ah, I just found out the other day that there were actually people subbing the Japanese version! I already watched it in in Spanish so I already know everything, but it still feels better hearing the original voices.
Thanks guys!
i almost felt like crying for Nadja when i saw what Rosemary did to her!!! i just finished watching it just then, and Rosemary needs a psychic evaluation she is Seriously stuffed up in the head... i'm just glad shes only a character! Every one of Nadja's friends have have helped her all along the way for this to happen... it's so sad, i'm just glad that there will be a happy ending and the baddies will get what they deserve!! But if i could i would really give rosemary what she deserves, which i'm thinking is a good slap in the face(hope Nadja or one of her friends does that ke he:D) and give Nadja a big hug!
Nadja at Least still has her brooch, and Unfortunately the tatters of a once Gorgeous dress...BUT she also has her mothers diary, which is a big thing, but i think the only way to sort all of this out may be to go back to England and talk with Miss Appleton of Applefield Orphanage, maybe the only way things will be resolved, heres hoping anyways:)
I totally know how you feel, who knew there could be such an evil character in a shoujo anime? throughout the whole episode I kept wishing for something bad to happen to Rosemary, Nadja is just way too nice!!
And episode 39 seems like its going to be VERY dramatic, I really really hope Rosemary doesn't meet Nadja's mother first because I don't think I could stand the angst!! :upset:

I really really hope Rosemary doesn't meet Nadja's mother first because I don't think I could stand the angst!! :upset:
Technically Rosemary couldn't meet Nadja's mother first since Nadja met her several episodes ago, even though neither knew they were related. That auspicious earlier meeting may count for a great deal if Nadja's mother has to decide whom she trusts.
true, but it'll be extremely hard on Collette because she already feels guilty for abdandoning her child and to disbelieve her would be to deal another blow to "Nadja". Lets hope that the real Nadja can come up with a plan to discredit the fake and to win against Rosemary's victimized little girl act.
12 more episodes left!! I can't wait! :D

I am seeding -_-
its just anirena wont let me connect.. i have been seeding since i uploaded the torrent.
there is someone who is downloading from me now. he got 15% till now. he will seed after he is done.
and i uploaded it for ACA members, they will download it and seed with me. just give us like 2 hours or soo.

Hm. Something's messed up then since the other 92 people I'm connected to are still all at 0%. The guy who is at 15% doesn't seem to be uploading to any of them. I guess I'll just have to wait for the other ACA members to seed it.
I'll just be patient. And thanks again.

wierd..
there are 2 ppl downloading from me now... each is at 55%
any ways. my friends are downloading and i guess they are seeding now ^^
hmmm... i'm not sure what's going on with the anirena torrent but i went onto isohunt/mininova to look for the nadja torrent and when i uploaded it it only had 2 peers but slowly started downloading, cos it wasn't very healthy going at like 0.1-0.5 kb/ps i decided to check out the anirena one, and there was like 80 people connected to that But everyone has 0%, so i think something funky has gone on with that and it needs redoing or something similar, but in the tracker for the one i got from isohunt/mininova it has the tracker of anirena on it, but it's saying "host not found" to it, which seems to me like something needs looking at/fixing, but thought i'd let you know what i found so that you could look into it:), and hope it helps
Akizuki Mieko
2008-05-08, 11:14
how many of you downloaded it?
i think i uploaded it to 3 so far. and now am uploading to 3... 14 kb/s. one is at 70%+ and one is 27% and one is 3%
i think my friends are seeding now ^^

It's getting out now. I'm connected to 100 people who all have some of the file, and some of them have as much as 32%. That's not fast, but I have hope of downloading it now. It was just 8 hours of 0% that was making me nervous. My thanks to your friends.
Akizuki Mieko
2008-05-08, 13:54
hmm.. it should be faster than this -_-
the 3 who are downloading from me now they are at 94% and a new one who is at 12%
I´m downloading from the torrent found on mininova, this one has DHT and somehow the one found on animesuki doesn´t. Both have the same trackers  . I´m uploading the parts I have (now 97%) to the torrent found on animesuki. Other one is almost done, so just be patient.
Done :)

Hrm, am I the only one with audio problems? The first half of the episode's audio (after the opening theme song) was .5 seconds early. I had to add a 500ms delay to the audio to make it match. near the end it went back to normal (I had to pause and take off the delay). I've tried with a couple players and even a different PC.
And wow, that was a really good episode too! only 11 more! Now I have hope of it completing. Thank you A.C.A.!!!

Nope. You're not the only one.
All ACA releases of Nadja have audio delay problems near the beginning of the video which slowly synch up until they match at the end. They've definitely got some problems with encoding audio.

I was practically screaming through episode 39. Poor Nadja. Granted she was stupid to bring the broach to the mansion since it is like putting up a huge, "I am a thief" sign, but I understand her feelings about it. Now the troupe has to dodge the law since their vehicle is so recognizable. It was so awful to see that nice woman deceived into believing this conniving vixen is her real daughter. I feel for her heart when she discovers Rosemary's true face.
At least now the Dandelion Troupe has a plan. While avoiding the law, they'll have to backtrack through every country they've been through and convince all the many people whose lives have been moved by Nadja to come to the Preminger estate (or perhaps to give signed affidavits and tell their stories to Harvey) about how they knew Nadja, vouching for her character, and have seen her with the broach before it was supposedly stolen from Rosemary.
I hope that this terrible situation can be fixed so Nadja can be with her mother.

Yeah, I didn't feel like having to keep adjusting my player at different times every time I watched this episode, so I just re-encoded the audio to match. Much better now!

I know what you mean about practically screaming, this episode was more painful to watch than the one in Rome when Nadja and her mom met! They were so close to each other and didn't know! So sad and happy at the same time. The writers are pure evil. Well it'll be all the more rewarding when they're reunited... unless this turns out to have a tragic ending where they are never actually reunited... Gosh that'd be depressing!

The thing I find most saddening about the last few episodes, is that Rosemary has grown up feeling the way she does even after sharing most of her life with Nadja. To act as she does means the bitterness and jealousy must have been fermenting for years. It must be terrible for her to feel that way because she will never be happy while she does, no matter how much she is treated like a princess. Ultimately she cannot "win" when her life is founded on deception and the "loss" will only re-enforce all those negative feelings. I hope she can be reconciled with herself if she is ever able to understand the damage she has done, to Nadja, to Colette and to herself.I hope that this terrible situation can be fixed so Nadja can be with her mother.I still have every confidence in mother and daughter being reunited. Even though it was heart breaking to watch Nadja calling to her mother, only to have her voice drowned and her feelings mocked, I will continue to believe they'll be together so long as Nadja does. Nadja's resolute and unerring faith, in the bond she shares with her mother, has not really let her down yet and I am sure it will support her until the end. That and her inherent goodness has touched many who will also support her.
Having said that, even without the support of all those she touched in her travels, which I am sure she will have anyway, the fact Colette's family deceived her for 13+ years will work in Nadja's favour. As will the meeting in Rome. In fact, once Colette allows herself to see there is a possibility that she has been tricked, even for a second, she will know Nadja is Nadja and Rosemary is a pretender.
I also cannot believe the author could be so cruel as to keep them apart after 52 episodes ;).

I hope she can be reconciled with herself if she is ever able to understand the damage she has done, to Nadja, to Colette and to herself.
I wouldn't say it's been fermenting for years, it was triggered by cold harsh reality. Unlike Nadja, Rosemary always had these high hopes of secretly being a noble, and one day she'd be discovered... After she left applefield, nothing. The real world hit her head on.
Then she is reunited with Nadja. And Nadja's life is turning out just how Rosemary wanted her own to. Nadja has the life that Rosemary thinks she deserves. They grew up in the same place, why is Rosemary a maid while Nadja gets to attend parties with noble men fawning all over her? So that's when she snapped.
What bothers me the most is how much joy Rosemary seems to get out of tormenting Nadja! That's part of why I don't think she'll ever have any remorse. In her mind, this is her rightful life and Nadja was the one who took it from her. Plus, even if they grew up together, that doesn't make her a good person. She took all those games seriously. She always thought she was better than Nadja.
I find it really amusing though, that she seems to be the brains of the operation. She certainly does have a knack for being an evil mastermind. I imagine she'll have henchmen soon. Well, she does already, if you count Herman.
hmmm i wasn't screaming, or feeling like screaming, but i did feel like giving her a big hug and crying along with her, lol, i can just imagine how torn up she feels, every time she gets somewhere something happens to ruin it, but it sounds like with the "witnesses" that they are about to go find that the main one will be Miss Applefield, cos i'm sure that she will have some type of file on the two of them, as well as being able to specify at a glance which is which, i think she'll be horrified with what Rosemary has done though...
but i would have to agree with GreenGlowingGoo about how/why rosemary snapped mentally, and i think that when it is all wrenched away from her that she will need to be put into an insane asylum if Nadja doesn't figure out a way to calm her down, but with someone like Rosemary i could just imagine her pulling a knife on Nadja when she's put in that final corner that she can't get out of. i think it is going to get a whole lot worse at the end of the series before it gets better, cos Rosemary in a corner is a frightening prospect!
something that hasn't been mentioned so far is what Nadja did with her mothers dress! it is Absolutely Gorgeous! and it'll be interesting when her mother sees it cos i think she'll recognise it and realise how much effort/love Nadja put into remaking it after it was so brutally destroyed! unfortunately because of the glare they put on it i was unable to see how nice it actually was, but i am sure we will see it later on!:)
I wonder what other witnesses they will pick up and whether the OP has a clue in it, i know that they're a lot of the male nobles Nadja meets on her travels, but it is possible that they're some of the people she at least tries to bring as witnesses, also Rosemary's previous Master, Fernando was it? can't recall right at this moment, but with all the nobles whom she has met on her journey's all of them will be able to vouch for her and say that she isn't a lier and very honest/open person, but i can almost guarantee that she will end up with being with her mother and Rosemary/Herman will be disgraced, also Rosso and Bianco won't want to go to jail over all this so i'm sure they will quite willingly help out once they are cornered:D
But the Major question after all of this is to whom she will pick out of Francis or Keith, because after all the trouble is over with her mother and she is then announced as Nadja Preminger, she will need to pick one of them or i hope she is able to, but i'm thinking more Keith because his father won't want him as the family heir anymore, unless of course he turns a new leaf, but who knows i'm sure we shall find out by the end of the series! :D
finally got around to watching episode 39 and as always THANK YOU A.C.A!! there were a few problems with the sound and a few typos but other than that it was an excellent episode! I love you guys!!!
argh... seeing Rosemary laugh at Nadja's pain is gutwrenching! to think that your childhood friend could be so hateful and evil is painful to watch. That one scene where Nadja is calling out to her mother and her voice is being drowned out is definitely the saddest scene ever!
I was surprised to find out that Colette might not be as spineless as she appears to be, from watching her interaction with her father and how she questions his actions without just accepting them. Hopefully, as NightWish said, Colette will be smart and start questioning Harvey and her father. However, I really wonder how they're going to convince Colette or Duke Preminger that Nadja is the real one, as in the past any predictions I've made with this show (ie. how Nadja finds out that Keith is the Black Rose) have been proven wrong by the amazing twists and turns in the plot. It definitely proves that Ashita no Nadja isn't your typical happy go lucky shoujo anime!
Can't wait for the next 11 episodes!!!
And I'm happy that this thread is back and alive again:D

Fortunately when Colette and Nadja met previously, they got on like a house on fire. (Gosh I love ridiculous idioms.) That should help smooth the way when Nadja shows up with her witnesses, diary and dress.
Also, I wouldn't be too surprised if Colette starts to see things about Rosemary that suggest she is not really so sweet.
heya everyone :), i'm just adding some information about Ashita No Nadja to tv.com cos there was very little there, will possibly think of doing the same with imdb.com if i get around to it, with the cast names i've bumped into a few differences in spellings of the names, first one being Abel/Avel, which i Think it's Abel but it's also written elsewhere as Avel, and also Sylvie's last name is it Alte or Arte, i thought it was Arte, but ran into the different variation and wasn't sure. i hope some of you can help me out with this, and i'll possibly be asking some more questions about some of the other less common characters when i get to them, anyways hope you can help:)

guys I just got my self a new lap top. and when I was watching epi 39 on it. I found out that the audio and video are completely different...
but on this PC its just like the audio is like 1 or 2 sec earlier than the video..
in this pc I have k-lite codec..
and in the lap top I have: Combined Community Codec
any ways we found a solution for that prob and we are going to do a remake for epi 37-39 and I am waiting for Saki to finish translating epi 40

k-lite is evil and you shouldn't use it. Stick with CCCP it dosent screw with you computer
I just recently found the raw episodes of Ashita no Nadja from episodes 40-50 ... Links Removed
Enjoy!
I know Japanese so I understood most of what happened and basically after a lot of drama and more angst, seriously it was like everyone including destiny didn't want Nadja and her mother to meet, everything turned out well.
However, despite being found out as a complete liar and a b**** Rosemary was still sooooo evil!! I hated how she made it seem like she didn't really want to be a noble anymore and that she was doing Nadja a favour by returning her mother and her "name" to her! Arrrghhh.. that's probably the first anime character I've ever seen that was a really annoying!!
And after finally being proven that she's the "real" Nadja her grandfather still won't allow her to meet her mother because he wants to raise her as an ideal heir and not be influenced by her soft-liberal minded mother. but thinks work out in the end and Nadja finally meets her mother in the most dramatic way! it was a very nice reunion, I won't spoil it so just go and watch it!
also what frustrated me the most was that Nadja first chose Francis instead of Keith!! You'd think that after all the clues pointing at Keith, and Keith himself saying that he's the one she likes, she'd figure out her own feelings and understand that its Keith she likes. instead she chooses Francis and then gets confused and chooses neither of them in the end!! Arrrghh!! I feel really bad for both of them.
I wonder if anyone has read the manga and if they know who she chose? Or was it the same type of ending where its kind of left in the open?
anyways, Ashita no Nadja was definitely an amazing anime to watch till the very end! I didn't expect it to have so much drama and angst, considering that its a children shoujo type anime, but it had its really dark moments. Overall, I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and I only wished that there was a special or a second season so we could finally learn who she picked in the end!
Sorry for not posting a detailed summary, it was pretty long and even if you don't understand Japanese I think you'd still be able to understand what happened!
ah i love this anime, too >.< but will the last episodes (40-50) be with subs, too, soon o.o? (so i would wait for them..dont want to watch them rare, because i dont understand japanese very well XD)

Ive watched ashita no nadja up to episode 39:) but after that i couldnt find any more episodes that were subed or dubbed:(

Has anyone found ashita no nadja episodes 40+ cause im dying to see them
I know that there is a few of them out there that are subbed and dubbed but ive watched episodes 1-39 more than 2 times and i nedd seriousley need to see the rest!!!
The reason that you (animelover826) haven't found Ashita No Nadja subbed is because that the people who're subbing it have so far only gotten up to episode 39, which i and many others are quite glad that everyone who has worked so far on it has gotten up to there and will hopefully continue to sub th last few episodes. Ashita no Nadja was translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and Korean, so if you're lucky enough to know any of those languages well and know how to find the torrents in those languages then you will be able to get a hold of the series completed but otherwise you will need some patience and will just need to wait like the rest of us for the next few episodes to be translated by someone from Jap-English then for the subs to be written up and put into the show. though apparently you can get a hold of the Japanese raws if u want, but unless you know Japanese you'll need to rely on the pictures to tell the story, but i wouldn't want to ruin the quirky/brilliant comments all through the show by doing that. Anyways hope that gives you enough info on what is happening with Ashita No Nadja:)
Just found another Ashita no Nadja related site, which is a fan listing for Kurobara/Black Rose if anyone's interested here's the link:
http://blossoms.heavens-angel.net/twisted/
something interesting i think i've noticed with Ashita no Nadja, is that i think during the entire series they drop virtually all honorific titles, like chan, san, kun, sama, ect. just something i picked up on when i was thinking of the way they said each others names. i think if i'm correct with this that they might've been trying to make it sounds a little more like they came from England or something, notsure, anyways i thought it was something interesting about the series

anyway i'm really sorrryyy
by the way i bought the whole dvd set :P
That's alright sakilicious :), we all get busy with stuff:), Ashita No Nadja is definitely worth the wait though. thankyou for giving us an update though:), and anyways from the looks of things if we didn't have you translating for us we'd still all stuck at ep36, wondering what was going to happen to kuro bara! :D, but at least we're slowly getting episodes, and the people that have been waiting i'm sure will continue waiting no matter how long it takes for it all to get subbed:)
thanks again for the update anyways:)

you will find episodes 40-45 subbed on Youtube but without Japanese audio...
The subber is currently having technical difficulties so episodes 45-50 are on hold. However there is movement within our circle to add the subtitles to japanese audio should she grant us permission to use her subtitles.
The project team is here:

Videos hosted on Youtube (in Spanish Audio) under the name "Nadjaproject"
Oh and thought I should state we are a seperate subbing group to this site dealing specifically with Nadja.
Good to hear that someone else is working on Nadja.
BTW, Nadja currently is being aired on my country, Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. through Boomerang.
Last week and this one I was able to watch episodes 40 and 41 in my native languages, unfortunately, I won't be able to watch it anymore because I'm entering back to the labor force with a new job on next Monday.

that'd be really good!:) cos at least then we would have most the details of whats happening:), though would have a little different wording ect. because of it first getting transcribed to spanish and then english, but as i said would have the main story in it:)
though for us who've watched Ashita no Nadja in jap up till now it'd sound just a tad odd to hear it getting spoken in spanish:) so adding the eng subtitles to the jap ver wud probably be the best way, so long as you're able to get permission:)
thanks for suggesting it, hopefully it'll keep the series moving and get adopted:)
Mouseycou and Nadjaproject, you guys are awesome!
I was giving up hope of ever seeing the rest of this series.
Now, Youtube and a spanish dub are a big step down from R2 DVD rips, but hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
edit:
Anyone mind seeding episodes 26-39? Only a few of them have seeds, and I seem to have misplaced my files.
edit2:
Nevermind about the seeding. I found mirrors for them elsewhere. However, I will be seeding the torrents for a few days myself, if anyone's been wanting to see the second part of the series.

Hi, I'm the girl who subs the Nadja episodes in Spanish. A.K.A., the NadjaProject on Youtube.
Ya know, it was this very thread that got me wondering if I could do it myself... I was googling and found it, read it over, and thought I'd give it a try.
I'm sorry for the Spanish dub, but I can't translate Japanese. > >;;
And I'm sorry it's on youtube. DD:
If I could do more, I would. But really, I'm just doing the best I can. This is my first fansub. The first eps. I did were terribly bad. D:
But I have given permission to use my subs in an effort to translate the Japanese ones. Everyone has permission.
I would love a Japanese sub.
Spanish makes my ears bleeeeeed. It was so hard listening to episode 40 right after 39.
Ahh, as mentioned earlier, I'm a bit stuck.
My computer broke and I was forced to give it up.
So, as of right now, the NadjaProject is currently on hold.
I'd be happy to help anyone else who would like to sub!

As no Japanese translator is to be found, may there be a Japanese proofreader to be found?
I have transtaleted 40-50 from the Japanese raws:
http://shina-luna.livejournal.com/tag/translations
Unfortunately, my Japanese everything else than brilliant, so there are some gaps....
I did that, since I was trying to advertise Nadja, but they all said, they wouldn't want to watch something that is not completely subbed since they wouldn't understand anything and except one they are all too lazy to always look the translation up in a seperate file....
Proper subs would be a real nice thing. But I don't have any idea of how things are subbed. (Nor are my translations well enough as of yet...)
Just posting this, perhaps it might be of some help yet.

well shina_luna every little bit helps i'm sure:), If i could help out with translating/subbing ect. i would:), but unfortunately i only know Very basic jap, and have no idea how they go about organizing the timing ect. of making the fansubs, but arigatou(thanks) for offering your translation, cos i think the main problem we've been having is being able to translate the rest of the episodes, so even if its not a complete translation it will still help in the process, cos at least it will give someone the general idea of what is being said, and will hopefully make it easier for someone to work on as a least a foundation for finishing translating the series, and even if your not that fluent with your japanese it will help out in any case, so thanks again shina_luna:)

Is it true that some company licensed this and is planning to combine this whole series into two movies? They can't cram a 50-episode series into 2 movies, can they?:heh::twitch::eyespin:

Ugh.
I got shina_luna's link on youtube today and I freaked because I tried to reply but accidentally deleted it.
Why did youtube have to put those buttons right next to eachother?
Anyway, I'll watch the Spanish version and do some translating.
I'm pretty sure that I can help fill in the gaps.
Sound good?
[ / is now very excited]
