I wanted to give some rep points but I noticed that there is no longer a butto to do so. Has it been removed or is it a bug due to the server move?

In fact the only reputation button remaining is my own... :uhoh:

Here's a reply I gave earlier
I think there's a few bugs crawling around here...

Except the fact that many smileys don't seem to show up for me, the reputation system seems to be... gone. Somewhat. I can only "add to reputation" for my own posts, on everyone elses posts that button is replaced by the "report bad post" button. Weird.

There are some inconsistencies floating around at the moment, hopefully they will be fixed / adjusted / edited in the near future.

It seems that everybody's "Current Reputation Power" is set to zero (which it shouldn't be), maybe that's why you can't give any rep. So, yes that is a bug.

Nope, I can't see the magical button either. Might be Mozilla, as it sometimes have trouble with images hidden inside spoiler-tag. Shame, just when I thought of giving you all some negative rep... :sad:

I've noticed I had the same problem when the forum was back, but now it's working back :)

yup the button is back for me as well, I suppose it's been solved, we can happily close, kill, delete, merge, eradicate, annihilate or simply ignore this thread now :heh:

I know this sounds strange...

...But now I'm missing my "Disable Reputation" buttoon, and my rep came visible for no reason. :heh:

Shameful, now that people can stare at that GREEN tag and actually think "I'm on a distinguished road." :sad:

You can't find the option to "Disable Reputation" because it (the button) has been disabled :heh: -- due to the forum upgrade most likely.
The staff are aware of the problem but it is a setting only an admin can change... bare with us :) you'll be able to turn it off again soon enough.

There are 2 people atm on the forum to have it :D

Is it the "I approve /disapprove" thing you`re talking about?

Thany

Yes that's exactly it : the reputation system.
It's based on this.

It appears that everyone who had a grey button now has a red button instead which fits the approve/disapprove colors in the User CP well.

EDIT:
Correction: It's more like this:
0-9 Reputation points: "...Unknown Quantity..." --> Grey button
Less than 0 Reputation points: "Shameless Behaviour--> Red button

If you check Wirhe's reputation, he's at an unknown quantity at moment and has a green button...

The matter of button colors is not as easy as it first seemed to be because RichMan (http://forums.animesuki.com/member.php?u=11209) is an unknown quantity and has a grey button. Maybe that unknown quantity thingy is divided into sub groups itself?

Though it would be possible that you earn a red button once you're at 0 too.

Thany, it seems that "your best guess" is wrong... totally wrong. ill make it much clearer.
1 to 10 = green button
0 = gray
-1 to -10 = red button

BTW, it seems that my master "sid_burn" got a red. I think this is going to be good news for him.

Oh wow, how many accounts have Sid_Burns made so far anyway? I mean, there are so many cracks and holes you can go through to be undetected but he keeps getting caught everytime without fail.

Pretty entertaining but rather silly at the same time.

Edit-

Yey :D

About the modification to the whole reputation business. Wouldn't that take serious cracking since this is standard for the code we're currently using?

I can think of four different names he used so far:

1. Sid_Burn
2. _12_
3. kazier
4. Jasther

This is becoming the funniest thing I've seen in a while, but he'll never beat that one guy on the old THEM boards that had 6 names and all of them had the word "prime" in it. Should we just give this guy a permanent ban and ban his e-mail address from the server? Just end it all before I die laughing.

Back on topic:

Why only 3 colors of the rep pegs? We should have something like gold for those who have over 50 to show how much they rock. I'm not even sure if the black (disabled) peg even exists anymore.

When the rep was on the peg colors were separated by only 11 points.

Red= Lower than zero
Grey= 0 to 9
Green= 10 and higher

That's it. Just 11 points. I would be a wider difference if you had more pegs (if that is even possible).

Yea i'm sad they changed that difference. I had -10 at one point. then some wicked people had to boost me somehow to +7. I really wanted to get that Red button.

Now they changed it, I'm not the first one to get it anymore. O well. Lets see how high of a rep I can get now. (looks at my rep fall)
