Thats "bass" (as known in USA) or forte (jap name), and I believe its when he joins up with "treble" (his wolf companion). Was a pretty cool form, too bad bass is a loser, but oh well, to each his own.

Hmm, I will be changing back to my chrno crusade set at the mean time cos I got my current avatar and the signature border from a wallpaper. So I dunno where's this character is from and what her name is. By the time comes, I will ask for you guys' opinions again. :)

I make my borders in paint shop pro 7, and there is a border function in it. Image > add borders > 1 or whatever # for all of them. The funny thing is that I did it the long way by drawing a line to each corner. Now that I fugred out the easy way it will save me some time.

If there is a border tool I have no idea where it is!
Make a selection of the area you want to add the border to. Edit --> Stroke, choose suitable colour, width, and whether you want it on the inside of the outside. Stroke can be used for all kinds of other handy things too ... ;)

Tzurial's avatar is rather nice - the border and cropping look good, as does the original. However, it doesn´t appeal to my aesthetic taste ... :P 8.5/10

Squirrel's avatar is damn nice, but I´d crop some more off around the edges ... but I find it aesthetically rather pleasing ;) 9.5/10
