Well, i searched through the 3 pages of the forum, but haven't found anything to do with this.

666 Satan is by kishimoto seishi, kishimoto masashi's younger brother, so its similar to naruto in its drawing style. Its about Jio and Ruby, Jio being the main character. In there world there are weapons called O-parts, and O-parts users, or O.P.T's. Its only in early stages being made, and it isn't released often, but its a good series, that seems its going to be another long lasting series.

i've been following this manga for a long time now its nice but we dont know anything about the main plot yet.

the only thing that doesnt excite me much about this manga is the fact that it has a lot of elements that were covered in animes i recently saw O-parts in master of mosquiton, which made me sick of the word o-part :), and the monster that lives inside of the kid is just like naruto the only difference is that monster can take control of the kid

Probably not. It's not really a "popular" manga in comparison to the other Gangan titles.
At the moment, there aren't really any Shounen Gangan manga that'll be good candidates for the typical anime treatment besides Star Ocean 3, and that's only because of the game (which kicks ass).

This manga has the potential of becoming as big as Naruto. In many ways the drwaing style looks alike, altought it has it's own charm. I've found that something as small as a title can turn off readers from a book, manga, etc. The name is controversial, which will attract a certain crowd but also repel an even larger crowd. At any rate, I'm part of neither crowd, I read a manga for it's enjoyment, and I bet you're the same Hampuch. I'm going to check it out. :)

I agree with you about the name. There might be some people who are scared about it, but give it a try and read. I dont care of the name but i bet some people do.

Oh, this will be huge soon. I don't know how soon, but it will be. It has the neverending plot like Naruto and One Piece. For Naruto, it's 'I will become Hokage!' which takes very very long. For One Piece, it's 'I will become the King of Pirates!' which also is not easy. And for 666 Satan, it's 'I will take over the world!' which is the most arduous of all :twitch: This of course is not a bad thing whatsoever, I'm just pointing out the similarity.

I was actually surprised how light-hearted this manga is, considering the title. I've been following it since Toriyama World only started. It's great! :D

Yeah it's true it will take a moment to have the end of this mangas , especially One Piece : i eard that Eichiro Oda wants to make more than 300 books and his son will continue his work !!
But i finded the Satan very good , and i try to download them in franch cause i m franch and i even find only the 2 first book , do you know where i can find the next episodes ??

Yea, I find 666 Satan pretty lighthearted as well. Its very enjoyable. Its fun to read, action is cool and its just really an enjoyable read. It's certainly a nice break after reading stuff like Monster and Death Note. :p

Before I begin this post, I just want to say that I can't read/write/understand/speak Japanese. Sure, I can say/understand words that are so common in anime and know some hiragana, but you know, that's just the regular fare. So keep that in mind, please...

Seeing as I have a Kinokuniya (Japanese bookstore) close to where I live, I have practically unlimited access to manga, be it translated into English or untranslated. One whole floor is dedicated to original Japanese manga, including the whole of 666 Satan up to now (through Volume 9). As is generally true for a shounen series, I don't understand the dialogue, but the story is usually simplistic and the scenes speak for themselves.

We all know that Toriyama World scanlated chapters one through ten and that Hayai Scanlations has just recently picked it up, starting with chapter 11 and releasing their latest, 13, some time ago. Chapter 13 is the second-to-last chapter of Volume 3. I have read, as of now, up to the end of the seventh volume, and own the eighth and ninth as well. Therefore, if anyone is interested, I can post some general summaries of volumes or even chapters. Don't expect them to be accurate dialogue-wise, but even not knowing Japanese, I've really been enjoying this manga and can't wait to read more. Seeing as Hayai isn't caught up, I would love to share some plot/twists with those who want spoilers.

And about the light-hearted mood... there are definitely scenes later on that are still light-hearted, but the amount of more tense and/or dramatic ones is increasing. The manga has gotten more and more brutal since the first volume... and more surprising in its quality increase, as well.

Chapter 25 marks the beginning of the second 666 Satan arc: the Kabbalah Arc. I can tell you guys that it's *incredible,* much better than the Entotsu City Arc. Sooo many kickass things are about to happen, just wait! You WILL NOT be disappointed.

This manga has now been licensed by Viz and they're changing the name to "O-Parts Hunter" (Viz has done the name change thing before). It is not known at this time whether any other edits will be made to the actual material, such as editing the 666-mark or renaming the character Satan.

But I have just started reading it and like the plot and the characters, and I do plan on buying them as they're released in the US. I hope they don't change it to much.

Also, the first manga is supposed to be released in December 2006.

I only look at the raw and I don't know japanese so I can only write about what I see. Anyway, Jio was fighting Cross when that ship called "god" started charging a soul powered laser. Alot of people's souls were getting pulled out of their bodies and sucked into the laser. Ruby's soul was being sucked out and into the laser too but Jio grabbed it with his 666 hand and it sucked her soul into his body.

The manga follows a boy named Jio who was orphaned and wonders around looking for money and answers... he meets a girl named Ruby who is also seraching and they become unexpected companions...

And the story unfolds...

Yes, this is what irks me about this manga: it was really good, but it was left open-ended. I'm of the personal belief that the ones who contained angels and demons are aboard that ship, traveling the universe, and maybe found a world to settle down on.

Ending Was it just going to blow up the planet and therefore they went to a different one and blew that up but the ship is fine? I kinda was leaning towards the fact they all died but then I personally would rather they all end up somehow on an earth like planet with the ship being gone from existence (blew up some other random planet) and they live happily ever after-ish. Overall not a good ending grrrr I liked the manga alot till that and now its just going to irk me for a week or two

Summary from onemanga

Ruby Crescent is an ordinary girl, who likes to go out with boys and shop. Her life is changed dramatically when her father dies and she becomes a treasure hunter as he was. Her objective is to find O-Parts -- magical items hidden under the ground which grant people superhuman powers and can only be used by an O.P.T. (O-Part Tactician) or descendant of the Angel and Devil. She soon meets a mysterious boy named Jio who, due to having a dark, lonely past, seeks to conquer the world. Jio is hostile to her at first, but ends up travelling with Ruby as her bodyguard. When Ruby is attacked by an O.P.T. claiming to be Satan, Jio rushes to her rescue and a battle occurs. Initially they are on the losing side, but Jio releases his true power and is revealed to be not only an O.P.T., but the real Satan. Thus, the two continue to travel together in hopes of unlocking their pasts.
