My favorite was op of fumoffu it makes me think about good things, it's like rememberring only what was the best of your life, it left me that way after having earing it. I liked the ending (and the chibis in it too XD). Since i don't understand a word in japanese i rate the music on the beat and the voice. I also consider the impression that i got while listening to it. Some really get to you, deep in your heart.

I like "Karenai Hana" among all of the op/ed songs because it's mellow and soothing to listen to. I also like the FMP! Fumoffu OST and the songs "Sore Ga Ai Deshou" (there are some good memories attached to this song so whenever I listen to it, I remember them and I feel happy) and "Kimi ni Fuku Kaze" (it's has the kind of melody which reminds me of my carefree days). The op/ed songs for FMP! TSR didn't quite catch my attention as easily as the previous ones (maybe since I haven't really watched the op/ed sequences) but I'm starting to like them too. All in all, I love all of the op/ed and bg sounds so far.

They're all good, as are the rest of the songs by Shimokawa Mikuni. And before anyone asks, she's the one who's sung ALL of the FMP OP/EDs. Although "Sore ga Ai Deshou" is easily my favorite, but that doesn't mean I like the others any less. Strangely enough, the one I like the least is "Kimi ni Fuku Kaze" out of all of them, TSR OP/ED included.

When I started watching FMP I hated the theme songs! But like all anime theme tunes they sink in and you start to like them. Sore ga Ai Deshou was my favorite song out of FMP :D

Minamikaze. Shimokawa Mikuni is amazing.
I loved all three openings for all three FMPs: Tomorrow, Sore ga, Ai Deshou (?), and Minamikaze.

They *almost* come close to "Daisuki da yo" by Naomi Tanizaki, for To Heart ~Remember my Memories~. That song, IMO, is the best anime song ever.

At first I really thought it was "Kaiko"(from the FMP TRS Original soundtrack), but after listening to it again and comparing again and again, I figured out that both has a different musical score and just almost close to being the same, but is actually different. Not really sure! Eh.. I feel that I was tricked by my ears coz I didn't at least figure out the actual differences nor the similarities. And up to now I'm still not sure if my verdict about it is right or wrong. lol And theres Shouri in the fluctuating part, which also sounds the same to the one played in ep.13(the sunset scene). :confused: lol

Anway, I'm loving those songs namely Kaiko, Shouri, the anonymous song "the sunset scene"from ep 13 and also Heion, Yuuai from the TSR, fumoffu, FMP soundtrack and the opening/ending track's especially Sore Ga Ai Deshou, Minami Kaze and Mouichido Kimi Ni Aitai due to their light, calming, peaceful or catchy tune.

Minami Kaze sure is a great song. Very tight for an FMP intro and yes it suits well for FMP TSR. It is translated as "South Winds" in english. It's rather a passionate song with an upbeat blend in it. It gives me a peaceful and wonderful feeling whenever I listen to it.
And..
I dont get tired listening to it along with Sore Ga Ai Deshou which also gives me a good impression. As a matter of fact, I'm very much familiar of the lyrics of both. I'd say it's stuck in my brain already! lol

Sort of a guilty pleasure before , but now I'm proud to have heard/known and liked such good songs. I don't mind playing it on my stero in maximum volume.

Well the fact that Shimokawa Mikuni doesn't release CDs like a mad woman on hyperactive drugs kinda makes me look forward to each of her releases more. So far she hasn't disappointed me. With 'Tomorrow' and 'Karenai Hana' being the first of her songs I listened to when I watched FMP at an anime convention 3 or 4 years ago, it's no doubt my desire that she will continue to produce the OP and ED tracks of subsequent FMP series to come.

I love Shimokawa Mikuni's performances. She has a wonderful voice and the lyrics for each song are awsome, I don't think there isn't a song that she sings for FMP that I don't like(including the more "in-the-shadows songs. i.e Ano hi ni Kaeritai and Kimi no Yume). I can't really decide a favorite but I definitely love all 3 openings a whole lot, they got the most played spots on my computer :heh:. I also have all 4 OST's which also have great music.

The songs in this anime are just wonderful, the opening and the ending... every time I listen to them I feel a warm. The best one is by far:

I don't know if this has been said already but... how can you not understand what their saying? The songs (in the versions I have that is, french and english) are both subtitled.

does anyone know the song from FMP TSR in episode 13 in which Kaname is giving Sousuke a pep talk? I've been looking for that piece forever. The musical composer for FMP TSR is Toshihiko Sahashi, but I've scanned all his pieces (that I know of)
urg i'm desperatly trying to find this one too -_- i need some kick ass intrumental in order to make my studies less boring =))
so then if anyone is talented enough to find us that piece , i'll be very ( but verrrry) thankful to him/her and give him/her credits if i succeed my exams =D

to stay in this thread's spirit i personally find that the tsr soundtracks are better than the first season, i find them more catchy and deep ( well that's just my opinion and it has also been a long time since i last watched the first opus )

I don't have all the songs but of the ones I have I'd say "conspiracy" is my favourite. It's the song used in the part where Gauron is talking with the KGB officers on the bridge in episode 2.

My favorite was op of fumoffu it makes me think about good things, it's like rememberring only what was the best of your life, it left me that way after having earing it. I liked the ending (and the chibis in it too XD). Since i don't understand a word in japanese i rate the music on the beat and the voice. I also consider the impression that i got while listening to it. Some really get to you, deep in your heart.

I just finished watching FMP First Season and I'm addicted. I got myself the soundtrack, but I can't find my favourite song on it. It was classical sounding, with a choir. I don't recall specific scenes where it played. I *think* it played in episode 13 (or 14?) during the story of Sousuke telling Shinji that ground support crews are essential to AS operation. It played also during other "serene" or "serious" scenes.
I think it also featured in the episode where Sousuke is attached to another squad, and sent to Halminjistan/Afghanistan and where he faces his former friend Zaïd. It plays when Sousuke's squad is at his former hide out, and the East-European female pilot tells him about her past, and they're staring at the little patch of ground with all the white flags. (My guess is that this is the grave of Sousuke's former comrades.)

I too like Tomorrow, Sore ga ai deshou, and Minamikaze. Instrumental-wise, Plan 1056 is one of my favorites (especially in its use on the final FMP! episode to open it - the crescendo as the FMP logo is coming up is quite powerful IMO). As well, the previously-mentioned, seemingly-untitled-and-unavailable piece that backs the sunrise in Hong Kong in the final TSR ep when Kaname is (done) talking to Sousuke.

On a related note - I know all three titles are sung by Shimokawa Mikuni, but Minamikaze always sounds different to me, maybe because of the lower parts that start it out. I could envision Kaname singing Tomorrow and Sore ga ai deshou, but I always picture Minamikaze coming from the more mature Melissa Mao. :D

Personally, I love the OST and especially the openings and endings of all three seasons, except for the ending of fumoffu (think it's called Kimi ni Fuku Kaze), which I found not enjoyable to listen to (IMO only, not that it's a bad song or anything). Some of the other songs on the OSTs are quite good as well.

I'd say I like all the songs for each season but out of the three I would have to go with fumoffu's songs. They're a lot more touching and catchy.
