Well first off, this should probably be in Naruto discussion. Also, this topic is fairly useless, Hinata is probably a fairly common name and the only real connection the 2 share is hair colour and size.

1. Naruto and Love Hina aren't even created by the same people.

2. It takes place in two different areas.

3. Characters looking like other anime characters are by pure coinicidence, not intentional.



By the way, reach the position of mod takes years, not months. Plus it's a big responsiblity, not a toy. I want to deserve through months/years of perverving peace on the boards. Unlike most people, I'm not a suck up but just trying to make the forums filled with topics that matter, not just one little thing and saying it has to connect with something else because of a name (Hinata) and a character that looks like someone else from another series (Shinobu). You have no real links, nor will you find any ever.

This thread started as a rather inane observation -- but not one that broke any rules -- and descended into a flame war.

It was a valid observation about anime and while most of us see it as a little silly or basic, carloboy was making a point that could have been discussed. If you (any of you) didn't think so you should have simply ignored it. Failing that, the next best thing would be to have "reported" it to gain moderator attention.

Now, having said that; posting an opinion / interpretation of the rules that you disagree with is not excuse for insults. Especially not back door insults using the reputation system or posting images that only exist to use stereo types to demean or to tell people to "STFU".

Thus, the thread is closed and carloboy has been banned (1 day) for insulting. Note I've also given Razer_2mb a ban (1 day) for continuing the fighting and for his constant abuse of the Rep thread -- it is NOT a public "I got bad rep" thread, dammit. If you have problems of that kind PM a moderator!
