Prettiest girl in manga

So who is the best looking female character in a Japanese graphic novel? Ever thought of that?

To me, hands down, no contest, it has to be Tsukino from Yakikate Japan. She's the definition of sweetness.

Other characters that come to mind are;
- Kitaooji from Ichigo 100%. Even though she's not supposed to be prettier than the other two leading female characters, she's way more adorable in my book.
- Megumi from Cheeky Angel. Even though she looks like the wicked witch of the west in the anime, she looks way attractive in the manga. But knowing how messed up she looks in the anime, I'll prolly stick to the manga else my image of her will be ruined.
- Osora from Love Monster. The cutest little white crow you'll ever meet.
- Lilim from Lilim Kiss. Same mangaka as Ichigo 100%. She certainly knows how to draw sexy women, and she's a woman herself!

Airgear? It's about roller blading, but instead of just skating in the ground, the manga uses uses something called an airgear, which let's you fly.

It's by the same Mangaka that made TengeTengo ( OH GREAT! ) It's really awesome, lots of action, and fanservice. comedy, and everything, and then some more ;)

Yes, pretty manga girls i think would command some sort of respect, and would be pleasant and interesting to just look at. I would not outright shag a pretty girl, but perhaps trap them in my basement and keep them in a glass box so i may observe them like a porcelain doll for eternity.

Weeelll.... it's kinda hard to explain, but I like her better in many of the normal pictures throughout the manga. She has a sweeter, more innocent smile in many of those, and displays a much more varied range of emotions. Not that I don't like the other pics.

If you are talking about pretty girls "in the manga itself" drawn, than Love Hina simply cannot compare to the the rest. Just take a look at Akamatsu's artwork and the rest you see in Yakitate, Ah! Megami-sama, etc, and there is simply no contest.

Of course, there are nicely drawn and pre-produced pictures for Love Hina characters. I guess I'm just being picky... ;)

All of Ken Akamatsu's girls look the same. You mentioned that you haven't read as much manga, but just take a look at Negima! and AI Love You. The facial expressions are all used over and over, along with the figures. The only thing that changes at all is the hair.

Edit: I think Azumi Kiribayashi and Aoi Asahina [lol, names reversed] from Real Bout High School are pretty cute.

But I'd have to say Yureka from Yureka. I dunno how well known it is. As it's not licensed in english and I've seen to find no more then 2-3 chapters of scans. I started reading Pastel, too. :)

I got through the first volume. It doesn't get any better (unless you're interesed in more eye candy). It's basically the same thing over and over again (whoops, saw you changing, oops saw you in the bath, oops, saw you in the shower, etc.). I don't mean to say it's a bad manga as a whole, though. Just nothing great so far.

Ichigo 100% did not grab me at all, for what it's worth.

Yes, the first volume doesn't really show me much of anything. It is either too monotonous because of lack of imagination or the mangaka simply wants to take things really slowly. But the second volume is where the story really starts to pick up.

Tsukisaki Yuu is definitely my type. Also Maki Mogami from Open Sesame. Then there's the TenTen sisters.

I guess girls with really long hair... Yuu however wins hands down.

I like Pastel but the mangaka is stretching the plot pretty thin. Parallel was better in a sense that things moved on quicker. I probably prefer Open Sesame's story more because of the near-constant progression to the story, and it seems that the tmeline is more defined and constant than with Pastel.

Btw any more manga like those? Lately I prefer rather simple and direct plotlines (ie: not complicated like Marmalada Boy) in my manga. That's why I like Pastel/Parallel and Open Sesame. I wish I could select multi-genres in manga-update.

Yeah, Ayukawa is my favorite too, she has it all. When I was younger, about 10 years ago, I did in fact like Mizuno Ami (Sailor Mercury), but prefered her untransformed (I don't really care for sailor suits).

I'm a big fan of Orange Road, and Madoka as well, but sometimes I wonder if I'm a victim of the FF VII syndrome in this respect. :heh:

Secondly, this thread is about the prettiest girl in manga, so it's a bit disingenuous seeing all the pictures of her so far (except the one from TronDD) is from the anime. The one from TronDD isn't exactly the best portrait of Madoka, either, as KOR is one of Izumi Matsumoto's earlier (and unfortunately for him, also the only popular) work. His skills definitely improved as the series progressed. The following is from a later volume of KOR:
