I need some anime with hate.

Basicly, some that deals with this darkest of human emotions and it's effects. No cutening up for the general public. Brutal and gruesome and realistic.

So, as you see, Berserk is not an option.

might be a bit abstract, but i believe Pet Shop of Horrors fits the bill, slightly. each of the 4 episodes deals with a seperate story, with a person who is really fucked up in some way, psychologically... and how they meet their doom or get what was coming to them.

not a happy go lucky series by any means. ;)

gooood suggestion.

NTHT is really depressing/emotional, in a much different way than, say, sai kano (= CRAP)

Alien Nine.

Have a look at it, its just a 4 parts OAV.

Alien Nine.

Ho ho ho. Yet again.

Narutaru la la la la laa.... just noticed you've suggested it in another thread....
So, all in all, watch Alien 9. It's similar to Narutaru, but more subtle (and, imo, better).

If this fails, watch the live action sailor moon.

Yeah, its the only anime I feel like suggesting.
You need a good dose of brain to get the subtle meaning of that anime.

There is the manga out there too, one of the few things Id buy at full price.

Hundred Stories(Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari). An anime about what happens to fucked up people and the consenquences of their actions. Takes place in old Japan. Very dark and it's based on Old japanese folklore.

And if you like manga, check out some of the more messed up stuff that Omanga scanslates. MPD Psycho should fill you right up (and make you puke).

I would be completely flat-out lying if I did not recommend Now and Then Here and There (JP: Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku).

It's been more than 2 years since I watched it, but from everything I remember, it's as close as you can get to 'no cutening up for anyone'. Yeah.

EDIT: You might find Hamda a little too unrealistic though, and the lead character (What was his name? Shuu?) too happy, but that's what lets you root for him. Because you really get people like him (like one review said, you'd *REALLY* expect him to be in some happy soccer comic from Shounen Jump, but instead he gets stuck... in... HELLYWOOD! O_o I feel like laughing evilly just typing that name. It's so... spoofy and funny and crazy.)

Owww, Hellywood, my eyes hurt just from looking at that one. How did you ever think of that? :twitch:
