I'm not a fan of anything that moves a lot actually, so I have to agree with Xris and Timo.

Oh, and HTML in sigs is a NO NO I think. It garuantees messed up layouts.

I agree with hhaamu on this one. Flash can implement scripting and there for user can create pop-ups and so on...sound and such...all that is annoying and flash IS EVIL!

Flash is the devil. No good can come of its implementation. There is nothing you can do with it (that belongs in sigs atleast) that you can't do with either JPEG or GIF89a, and neither of those allow scripting. There is no reason you need flash (unless you are doing something that doesn't need to be done) to do anything in a forum.

I agree that its a bit useless though -- if you want an animated
banner you can always use a animated GIF.

I could probably do a smaller filesize than Flash using MNG. And it would have transparency, too.

Besides, Flash is obnoxious because you can stop the animations for GIFs (just set "image.animation_mode" to "none" in about:config), but you can't stop them with Flash.

using flash sigs wouldn't be that bad if it could reduce the size of those :)
IF they're not too flashy/annoying and so :)
my sig isn't large, nor tiny, it's quite small (8K) ... when i see a page that is > 1MB just because of signatures ... i think that 25-30K instead of 50K would be better for everyone :o
i currently disabled signature because of that :/

As if the large image banner sigs aren't enough of a pain already!!! For the love of god and all that is holy.... please no flash banners, sig, avatars or whatever else they ask for. The last thing we need are noisy sigs competing with each other.
