View Full Version : Natsuiro no Sunadokei game
If you caught the first couple of OVA's, this anime is also availible as a DVD game. Interesting premise in the anime, and I was kind of surprised to see the game availible at the same time.
The game is availbe in english as "Hourglass of Summer" and its also one of the few non-h erogames out there. So if the OVA's caught your eye, it might be worth checking this title out as well.
First of all, HELLO TO EVERYBODY!! My first post here.
About Natsuiro no Sunadokei... that's good news. I was waiting for this game to be released, now i can watch the anime version too. Thanks for the info.
By the way, did you know this game is originally a Renai Ero-game (like soooo many others :heh: )? It was ported to console PS2 and now we have this DVDPG version translated to english too. Luck us! :)
Welcome to the forums.
Yeah, we knew about the origins of it, just thought it was unusual for the anime and the game release to show up around the same time. :)

True enough.
If EVERY anime show based on bishoujo games and released in USA someday has the original game version or some non-adult version released in english too, i will be very very happy. :eyespin:
I really hope what hapened with NATSUIRO NO SUNADOKEI/HOURGLASS OF SUMMER happens again and again. :naughty:

D'oh. Just went listening tru my I've music collection and found out that the OP for the Natsuiro no Sunadokei game was sung by no other than Kotoko. Hail.
The name of the song is 'went away', btw.

Bump.
So, question to those who have played "Hourclass of Summer", is it worth buying? I'm playing Ever 17 now, and I was just thinking what to buy next. I have seen the OVA and liked it, I just need to be sure that the game isn't crap.

Hourglass of Summer crap? LOL!

Scored higher than Ever 17, which though be debateable, is nevertheless an excellent game.
Admittedly I have only played 1 scenario, which was Ai's scenario. It was your typical cliched childhood friends couple story, but the difference is that it was excellently done. I imagine the other arcs are done as well as Ai's, but I haven't had the chance to find out because I can't bear to see Ai 'lose', especially not after her heartfelt scenario, lol. Osana-Najimi always win! ;P
Plus, I love her theme as well (Always Together, IIRC, which is quite a fitting name might I add). Now if only there was some way to get the OST...
Thank you, I guess I will be buying this.

I just finished playing my first scenario. I went for Tomomi like a bee for honey... there's nothing quite like a tsundere older woman (and a teacher at that!). But that aside, I also found her story to be quite moving.
I'm not sure what order I'm going to play the rest of the girls in, except that I'll probably save Kaho for last, as I'm assuming her story will be the best. In any event, I really enjoyed Tomomi's scenario. The game got off to a pretty slow start, and I was downright bored during the first few days, so for a little while I played it on and off. But this afternoon I finally started making real progress with Tomomi, and I was so interested that I just played it all the way to the end. :)

The OVA really doesn't do justice to the game itself...
I played through Kaho, Mana and Lee Jane's routes, and they were all great. I highly recommend this.
By the way...Kaho's story is very good, but I think Mana's the best. She's a lovable character and has a really, really good story.
