I hope I don't sound stupid for asking this, but the old forum allowed us to have this function. But in the new forum, the Quick Reply function is there but I can't type anything on it, instead I get the message:

Please click on one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply

But I don't see any icon for Quick Reply anywhere.

If you look at the bottom right of your post you'll see two buttons labeled edit and reply. The quick reply button is the tiny icon between them.

Edit: The forum software has been changed since I first typed this. Now the quick edit button is to the right of edit and reply.

um...I know now. I was saying that before NoSanninWa
pointed out, I didn't even notice there was anything between the 'edit' and 'reply' buttons. But thanks everyone!

if you go in threaded mode its always avaliable. im just getting used to this new stuff myself! :heh:

whoa! you can jump ahead in post #? in the old system the newest post automatically showed last. i tried out the quick post and my post number went up! weird.

or is this only in hybrid and threaded mode?

i feel like a n00b all over again. :(

reply is simply just a response to the message. No editing or anything.

@ yellowkaiq

Since the post was made in 2003... it's probably one of the first... right after the first forum crashed... so it's likely that the forum was a little different back then...
This should give you an idea... The 5th post of the forum (2003.11.03)

P.S. If you look at the post above yours you'll notice a small comment in the edit thingy... implying that the Edit function was something new... that's probably what all the fuss was about... :heh:
