Who is Kei?

I'm up to episode 5 of MariMite Haru. And I've gotten some idea of who Noriko, Kanako (I thought Eriko was a loon), and Touko are. But who's Kei? I see pictures of her with Sei, but no one mentions her or where she fits in here. In the interest of relieving me of my ignorance, could some one clue me in on this lady?

Kei is a student at Lillian University and coincidentally, Sei's friend. Some say she's her roommate, but I'm not too sure about that.

Ah, so we haven't seen the last of Sei then. Very good. I like her, she makes me laugh.

how different is their name in Japanese ? I mean, in kanji and in the meaning :)

Katou Kei is Satou Sei's friend. The author deliberately made the name sound similar to Sei.

But Sei's friendship with Kei is brought upon by Yumi, after a certain event.

You will find this out at the end of this season as it goes to the "Rainy Blue" and "Parasol o Sashite" arc, so remain patient.

From what I've read of Kei's personality and her general reaction to Sei's antics, she reminds me a lot of Kiyone from Tenchi. :)

Oh boy, this will be interesting. At least Sei doesn't have a starship or a cosmic cube to include in her pranks. Can you imagine the trouble she'd be able to cause?
