[GHDpro]

Although for a long time (months, maybe more than a year) I didn't read any manga scanlations,
I've recently started again, and caught up on a lot of manga. But... very little of what I got was
from BT: some was from HTTP downloads (easy, but puts load on scanlation groups' sites) and
others I downloaded from IRC (which sometimes works well, but sometimes is wait-in-queue hell).

So... With very simple means I've started my own manga tracker! You can find the torrents here:

Description:
There are quite a few manga where the main (male) character is being chased by several
beautiful girls, yet where he can't decide which to pick, or worse: he's afraid of them.
Well this manga falls into the last category, except that Shingo has a good reason for it:
the girl that proposed to him was ULTRA UGLY and after running away scared, she beat
him so badly, he had to spend a month in hospital. Hence, afterwards he's scared of women
and looks at them if they were lizards. After his return to school he hopes to join some
martial arts club to be able to fight back, but unfortunately stumbles on the boxing club,

Unfortunately only one volume releases so far (out of 8) and out of the 5 chapters in this
volume, 3 are extra stories and one is supposed to be a side-story. That leaves just one
chapter of the actual story (although chapter 5 is related).

This story is... again less correct than normal shoujo manga. It's about a girl named Haruka.
One day her father remarries and subsequently she gets a new stepbrother (Tsukasa),
who is several years younger than her (about 12). She thinks he is cute, so she is looking
forward to meeting him... little does she now that the boy likes her too -- a bit to much!

I'm not sure how well an animesuki-type system would work with manga... it's actually been tried a few times, but we've always just kind of used BT as a secondary source of bandwidth reduction and ease of initial release more than the end-all of our distrobution system (especially since we have more options than the anime community simply because of the differences in manga and anime file sizes. For example, volumes 1-30 of Ippo is roughly 1 gig, while that same story line in the anime is over 15 times that).

Actually, I'm kind of surprised that we all embraced manga jouhou, considering our current dependance on it... >_>;

Anyway, I've actually been wanting to get my hands on parfait tick for quite a while, so thank you :cool:

oh oh, on a side note, I get a lot of requests for bulk torrents on Hajime no Ippo (like 5 to 10 volume torrents) that I can't really do based on seed restraints and so forth, so if you wanna add that I'd be rather appreciative ^^

You forget to mention the most important part!
This manga is from Mitsuru Adachi, who is very famous in Japan but is (unfortunately) little known in the western world (except Italy). He started to professionally draw mangas in the seventies and made his first big success in the eighties with Touch. He was one of the first mangaka to pass the 100 million sold takubons mark in 1989. Many of his mangas were adapted to long running animes.
His most famous works include: Touch, Rough, Slow Step and H2.
Katsu is his most recent manga and still running (?).
If you don't know Adachi then you better get to know him now! ;)

I'd like a mangasuki as well. ;-) Manganews.net comes close, but too frequently the releases that are announced have no bt links. So you either have to bounce from one groups web site to the next, or from one irc server/channel to the next, to download each of the various new chapters that you need to stay current with the stories you are following. I'm happy and willing to get the new chapters kindly being made available however I can, but I can't help but wish for a more efficient way to go about it.

Status update:

- This project is a bit on hold now. Sadly, don't expect new content soon.

- The idea of "Mangasuki" was not objected by current staff & moderators.

- However, don't expect it soon! I won't even start working on it (if ever) until after v2 of AnimeSuki.

- v2 of AnimeSuki has already been delayed and delayed, so don't hold your breath.

- I am still seeding these files, but only VERY occasionally. So if there is no seed, you can
wait, but if you're unlucky you might need to wait DAYS. Also: I'm behind a router, so make
sure you are not, oherwise you won't be able to DL at all!

By providing them here, I hope to help out the scanlation groups and fans alike, as some are only available through IRC (which even if you know how to use can be troublesome) or use lots of bandwidth when offered as HTTP download from the scanlation groups' sites.

What goes on the site
Some people have contacted me and asked me to put specific manga on the site. Unfortunately my site doesn't really work that way: I only put up manga that I have read & liked myself. Also note that I do not try to keep this site up-to-date all the time. Updates are added in batches, so be patient.

Are there any plans to translate the last volumes? I can't wait to read them!

Hi, first of all I want to give a huge thanks to GHDpro for the Prutser tracker. :)

I'm part of the new (well, sort of new at this point) Hiyoko no GAO staff that's been continuing work on Mahoraba manga. We're getting close to finishing Volume 11, and I was just wondering if we still have permission to use your tracker for a volume 11 release. :)
