That would suck and make naruto too DBZish. I wouldnt want to wait a week for like 15 min of new stuff. They should rather have Naruto reminisce about an old B-rank mission or something that he was on... and it could last as long as the Zabuza arc.... I think mr idea pwns urs ;)

I'm not so sure about that. I think I'd rather see something completely new as opposed to seeing a whole 5 minutes of an episode I saw last week. I hate recaps, in fact I despise them. The geniuses that decided to put 5 minute recaps in the beginning of an episode is my official mortal enemy.

I hated the 5 minute repeat in the Haku/Zabuza arc. I hope they never do something like that again.
I don't really much like fillers, either. I wish Japanese cartoons had a schedule similar to American cartoons, where there's an on-season and an off-season. This would solve many problems when the anime is based off manga and could catch up.

It doesn't reall matter to me much if they put a recap in it seeing as I just skip forwards or leave to make myself a drink.

bah, back in the Zabuza arc the actual episode didn't get started until like 7 or 8 minutes into the episode.. I hated it. :bash:
Filler > Recap. If I wanted to see what happened last episode, I'd watch it again. (Though that's not always an option for people watching it on tv.) Besides, there's enough interesting characters to make side stories enjoyable. Doesn't anyone ever wonder about any of the other genin teams? I know I do.

No, what the anime team needs to do is work up the guts to diverge from the manga when appropriate. Look at a series like Full Metal Alchemist; it's only very loosely based on the manga and it still does just fine. Filler is an unavoidable consequence of a series that follows the manga religiously; they either have to sprinkle it throughout the series or do long filler arcs when they catch up(and just look where that got Kenshin).

But the anime team can't in their current state do filler episodes. They don't have the originality for it. If they wanted to do that, they should enlist some help, and maybe get some coordination with Kishimoto.

That's something that has to be decided at the begining of a series though. At this point it would just piss a lot of people off. The obvious solution to this probem is to hire good writers to make the filler somewhat entertaining. It does, after all, take a lot more writting skill to create original scripts than it does adapting existing manga. However, that would require the production staff to actually pay people as opposed to throwing a bunch of no talant hacks some bread ends and half eaten cups of instant ramen every week.

Same studio that does Naruto, also does Saiyuki Reload and Gunlock, well, animators almost ran out of manga, so half of Reload was a filler, and not a bad one. I hope they do the same for Naruto. Maybe small missions that Kakashi and Naruto could be doing....Sakura will be too busy keeping Sasuke's flowers fresh, and Sasuke would be just like staring at the wall for maybe 10 episodes or so....hehehehe....

I would rather drink some bleach then have that happen, I hate shows that do that. I'll take the little pieces of filler over that any day.
I don't mind the filler, I'm just concerned about the quality of it. Episode 97 looked totally different than the other episodes.

They will do another one eventually Im sure, but it's a few months off in the Naruto World. Not to mention that I doubt they would do a Filler Chuunin Exam, unless none of the good characters got promoted it would screw some of the upcoming story up Im sure.

i think what's going to happen is that they will make things very slow and take their time to develop characters relations with others
a nice way to fill up the gaps would be probably music specials....or an episode on how and where naruto is made...or maybe a small side story that tells about childhood od someone...that would be nice
Fillers aren't just for filling. They agitate you because in your mind you keep on asking "What will happen next?" Even more since you won't find out 'til next week. Fillers can also serve as recaps for the forgetful people, you know?
Is he? I'm pretty sure, the Nurse told Sakura, that Sasuke isn't there anymore, and Sakura also told Lee, that Sasuke is cured, IIRC.

I really don't care about fillers, and usually I enjoy them. I've read the manga, but the parts where the anime are at I've forgotten for the most part. People must like the read manga chapters right where the anime is because they're so nitpikcy about every single detail that I don't catch.

Well, I think that they should have a big party bash in the 100th episode for the Hokage's inauguration. Everyone's happy and drunk (well, maybe except for Sasuke and Lee). Then the anime should stop for a while (this IS one of the best places in the plot to pause the anime).
This gives time for the manga to go further in the plot. In the meanwhile, the anime team should do 13 or 26 fillers consisting of nothing but...ICHA-ICHA-PARIDISE!!! :heh: :heh: :heh:
At the ending of the 26th Icha Icha Paradise episode, there should be a cameo by Kakashi and Naruto watching the episode in a theatre, with Naruto commenting how the series sucked. (just like in Austin Powers)

Forgot to mention one more thing. The fillers should not be titled 'Naruto'; it should be titled "ICHA-ICHA-PARADISE!!!"

No, they haven't(and PLEASE watch the unmarked manga spoilers). It's obvious that they made some significant timeline alterations(Lee's surgery stuff moved forward to this episode and the next, Sasuke getting out of the hospital without fighting Naruto, intentionally excluding the Sound Four and Shikamaru's Chuunin anouncement). They've left out every link to the Chase Sasuke arc. They've definitely set themselves up to start a filler arc with only minor alterations to the plot afterwards.
