Magiqlip2?

I just ordered a couple of new CDs from Japan, both with LableGate CD 2 Protection. I installed the Japanese music program that came with it, MAGIQLIP2, the only way to listen to them on your PC. But the program wouldn't recognize the CD.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this stuff to work outside of Japan?

Umm ..I guess you have to have the japanese version of windows
i do have it for the Japanese games :D

No, you don't need a Japanese version of Windows, and the software key needed for a MQGIGLIP2-protected CD should be on the disc itself; you don't need a connection to some server to get the key onto your computer, for example.

I was able to play a disc with this form of copy protection on my English (U.S.) version of XP. The player that I had to use was ugly and rather slow, I thought, and I was just getting question marks and nonsense as text. The player itself worked, but that was it.
