When, if any time, does anyone anticipate The Naruto Movie being released in America on DVD with American subs. I no i can prolly get a Japanese import soon, but when will it be coming here, if ever? :hmm:
:heh: Please, that's just wrong. Just the thought of hearing an american version of Daikatsugeki! Yukihime Ninpouchou Dattebayo!! Just grinds my teeth. And who knows what kind of acting that might befall this movie if it does get it's release over here.

Well, I second that. Heck I'd be just satisfied when the subbers pick up the movie and that I record it (like I recorded Digimon movies 5 & 6). I would actually careless what the U.S dubbers would do to the movie.

yeah i should rephrase wut i meant. I don't listen to dubbed Naruto or any other type of anime cuz that's stupid. wut i meant, will there be like an english naruto dvd, with english menus and subs, so i can actually understand wut's going on released in america, or does it have to be liscensed before something like that iwll come. sorry for any disturbing confusement lol
There won't be an English DVD until the series is licensed, which probably won't happen for a while.

4Kids or FUNi's too stupid for their own good. Heck, it will be even worse when they get their hands on it (compared to dubs like; Bandai Entertainment, VIZ or ADV where they do a really good job).

they did it to one piece just altered a lot of it , they could do the same to naruto :sad:
Just send a letter and tell them how you guys feel. Because they won't know unless you write to them. The same thing is like writing to congress and telling them how you feel about the current issues.

It was obviously ep 1. The U.S version of ep 1 was totally cut off from the original ep 1 (japanese version/U.S/japanese/italian & french manga). And in favor of the revamped ep 1, it was the introduction of Piratess Captain; Alveda (which's the 2nd chapter of the manga on book 1).

Obviously someone never read the rules. If you had, you would know not to ask when's it's being released.
All your whining will do is irritate fansub group staff and make them leave the scene. And that will mean even slower releases or none at all. So just have some PATIENCE. Threads which break this rule will be deleted.
Also why would it be on DVD in America? It still isn't licensed. I guess there's still some battle of the crappy dubbing companies for Naruto.
Yakushi-san, please keep in mind that the subtitles are not 100% accurate. They probably never said that in the japanese version, but it would probably have the same effect that many people who now their swear words can relate to.

... Like someone mentioned look what they did with One PIece(which isn't any less 'bloody' or less 'swears'). But no Naruto isn't all that bloody in the anime so I don't think there would be any promblems butchering it...Like DBZ(which again in fact had more blood and violence).

With the cost per episode for Naruto license being rumored to be very high I think whoever picks it up is going to try to make Naruto as mainstream as possible. That probably means edited down to whatever levels could pass it off as a saturday morning cartoon on the foxbox or something.
as for the movie. Usually it takes awhile for a movie of an anime that's concurrently running to pop up in the US after the anime has been licensed. I'd say summer 2006 US release at the earliest. Assuming Naruto is licensed within the next 6 months or so.
People were originally talking about the official dvd release, not asking for a release date from a fansub group..

There arnt many animes that were dubbed in english. I hate when they change it from the original form such as what happened to YuYU Hakusho.In the Jap eps cuss alot but in the dubbed they dnt.

It's not our anime. If it gets licensed, there's nothing we can do.

I'm afraid that was the original episode 1. Luffy's past appears in episode 4 =p.
Yeah, I saw that during the FB preview. I hope that they don't do that in future episodes. Because it could really screw up the storyline. 4Kids can be pretty stupid sometimes.
Though, in anycase this topic's supposed to be about the "American Naruto Movie". Assuming that the Naruto movie actually does get here.
