Is any fansub group about to sub PopoloCrois Monogatari - Hajimari no Bouken?

The character designs look childish (still quite cool) and I can't say if the anime itsself is really good, but the OP and ED songs are very atmospheric and made me curious about it.

Ok, let me revive this old thread.
Have anyone downloaded this series of LiquidAnime version??? How's the quality, especially compared to Pakapuka version???
I haven't got any of these versions yet. Any recommendations anyone??? :help:

I just downloaded it, but I haven't seen the entire thing, only saw the opening, and it has a different opening from the papuka version i think, this probably the older series 1998, not the 2003 one.

The Liquid version is indeed the first series, the Pakapuka one is the 2003(newer) series.

Few episodes of both series were subbed by one-man team Pakapuka Anime. You might try to get them here: http://forgottenkings.tripod.com/pakapuka.html
Not so long ago we came into contact with wyrdwad and decided to join our efforts. So you can expect in future both series subbed by Solar (episodes subbed by Pakapuka Anime will be rereleased in higher quality too).

I salute that person who single handedly worked on Popolocrois 2003. That takes alot of guts to just keep going.

I'm really looking forward for more Popolocrois. ^^

Wow...one-man team sub. Sugoii...
So u meant this series will be subbed by both Solar and Pakapuka (re-released version) ???? Btw, looking forward to their results :D

I just watched episode 1-4 from Liquid, I wasn't expecting much because it's the older Popolocrois series, but it's actually has a pretty good story. I really enjoy it, I love the characters they are very lovable.

Cannot beat fairy tale that has mecha in it. ^^

Edit: Everyone should watch this and Princess Tutu. This is what a good fantasy story all about.

I'm dusting off this thread a sec...

In my hunt for more about Kouichi Mashimo's work, I saw on CD Japan that they have this one (the older 1998 version) attributed to him, though I can't find any English verification anywhere else.

I see his name in kanji near the end of the credits along with Bee Train, but I don't actually know kanji (I compared with something I saved from another forum), and I can't tell whether or not he's there as director, or just there because Bee Train is his? Anyone know?

I'm about to give the LA eps 1-4 a spin; it looks a little more "kiddie" than I think I'm ready for. It's like it's the exact opposite of Noir or something.... :) But still, obsession does what obsession does......
