The story of " Heaven Wars Shurato " is based on Hindu and Buddhist mythology, although they've interpreted them pretty loosely. Fans of RG Veda will recognize many of the names, although the Shurato characters bear little resemblance to the RG Veda characters of the same name.

The main character is a 16-year-old boy named Hidaka Shurato, who is transported to Tenkuukai, the world of the gods, by the Harmony Goddess Vishnu.

I've only ever seen Heaven Wars Shurato as a video fansub, haven't seen it as a digisub, so it's going to be difficult to find. I suggest you look elsewhere (Kazaa, DC, IRC, etc, etc).
