Second pic looks great. The first one has a glitch. The fingers on the hand are a bit awekward and the arm's position looks somewhat unnatural. You may want to lengthen the sword, bury the tip in the ground, then put his hand on the very top of the sword at the ball of the hilt. That does two things. It flattens out the hand to a more easily drawable angle and increases the bada**ness of the sword pose. :D

Other than that I find nothing wrong with that pic.

you are right about the hand/sword thing..i'll bury it and then but his hand on the top of the hilt.
