Heehee, Hinaichigo is so very amusing in episode one when she goes "Hanamaru-chan, Hanamaru-chan! Kiss kiss kiss! You are so tasty!" at the table (right before Suiseiseki gets her hand in the crocodile).

And I just realised what "ichigo daifuku" (a.k.a. unyuuuu) is. It's the mochi thingy! I love red-bean paste daifuku... but I'm not so sure about enjoying one with a strawberry.

Honestly speaking, I haven't had a fresh daifuku either. I buy mine at a department store counter ("Hon Taka...whatever" in Hong Kong Uny) and even the "fresh" ones on display there had actually been de-frosted in advance!

Plus, my mum has a habit of buying a dozen daifuku at a time and keeping them in the fridge for a week. It really doesn't make a difference whether they're frosted for a day or a week; they're not fresh anyway.

I visited that website with the pictures. Poor Suiseiseki! My favourite character, hmph.

Hmmm the thing about the RM doll designs apart from the glassy eye effect and joints they seem as human like as Jun or Nori.... The thing I like is their costumes. Also it doesn't seem weird them wearing the same clothes because they are dolls, some other animes really need to get their characters to change their clothes once in a while, smelly!!!!

Hard question. I'd like to scream YES!!! but... remembering that one of the major points I liked about Sui was that she kept bullying Hina, and that almost all of the most ~desu moments would be impossible without Hina, I'm forced to think. So, realistically, No, i don't think so, unless in the absence of Hina, Sui terrorized another doll with the same results (actually I'd like to see her terrorize Gin in S3 :heh: Don't lynch me!!!)

But if you mean it as a comparison between Hina and Sui, I like Hina very much, but Sui's still the favourite.

Haven't finished the RM One, and it will be a mix between Rozen Maiden and my views about Kingdom Hearts. Mostly based on the stereotyping that we do. (You know, the "Dols? Wtf?", "Disney? Wtf?" thing.)

And though they might be good for someone who does not understand anime fully, I think that they're not that interesting to an otaku who really knows anime as much or even more than me. But yeah, if you guys want I can post them later. No big deal.

Welcome! I personally think that Shinku drinks many types of tea from her lesson to Nori about how brewing different types of teas needs different techniques etc. It gave me the impression that she is well versed in the art of tea guzzling.

Personally I go for PG Tips with milk and sugar because they used to have chimps doing the adverts :p Out of non milk teas I guess my favorite type is sen cha

After watching Traumend's ending again, I could say that Laplace was just bribing Kirakishou to join him. When he was holding the 2 Roza Mystica, he flew away while Kirakishou just smiled and followed him (she also extended her eyepatch which shows her happiness?)

Well I didnt make much of it at the time, but Gin isnt the only one that suffered in Traumend. Shinku did go thru quite a hard time too; first livng with the regret of killing Gin, then seeing Sou and Hina go, then having to fight against her will, seeing Gin die again, and even dying herself. I suppose that joint distortion part signifies that, and at the end when the distortion is fixed, it prob signifies that all is well again, Shinku has emerged not unscath, but still victorious.

This is actualy true.. I am very fond of coffee.., I used to drink 2 - 3 cup's of realy strong coffee (that I myself made) per day...; I simply love it :p (not because of the cafein, nor the effect it gives; even though to me those are realy irrelevant..., but just simply because of the taste)

Anyway.., after watching Rozen Maiden.., for a few laughts..,I thought to myself.., they all drink alot of tea.., and come to think of it.. there surely has to be some good tea's arround right ?

Well one day I went out searching as in the hope of finding something to "cut down the coffee" and by chance I ran into these packages of tea..

What the hell.., I'll give it a shot.., I toke a package and went to try it..
I was never much of a "tea person".., until I discovered this tea that is :)
Its a actualy an Apple / Cinnamon flavoured tea.

Consists of :

Rosechip , orange leaves , apple cinnamon flavour , cinnamon , apple , lime , chicory , hibiscus.

And trust me when I say... it tastes unbelivable !

So.., I don't have any expertiese on how many tea flavours exist..., but honestly.., this is so good that I have to belive that Shinku has to drink something VERY similar :)

Myself.. ? I rarely ever made coffee again thanks to it :p ; yes.. its realy THAT good.

I prefer Sencha green tea and Oolong black tea. I want them served hot as well. I find hot tea tastes better. Unfortunately, I only have tea bags (damn it!!! I want leaves!).

For the tea served from tea bags to taste good, pour boiling water into the mug with the tea bag then steep for a minute. Then remove the bag. The tea will taste real good, I find.

I don't think we have discussed this yet... At the end of S2 anime is it fair to call Gin junk? Why the question? Well at the end of S1/beginning of S2 Shinku realised that it was wrong to call Gin junk, but the problem was that Gin was actually junk at the point. End of S2 Gin has been revived again (seriously she needs neko mimi and a tail, not crow feathers) now we don't know if her missing torso has been fixed or not. Rozen has made it clear (ish) that the Alice game is not the only way to becoming Alice. Alice = perfect = not junk. But that really doesn't answer the question of if it is right to call Gin junk or not. I think the answer lies in Gins own opinion of herself and what she says to Megu (I keep wanting to type Meg, is there no end to my laziness?), so through that I think that Gin is no longer queen of junk, but that title is Megus...

I agree with you that its dependant on Gin's own opinion of herself. But, when she said what she said to Meg (:p), I quote from Ayu's: "Junk... Junk.. is not a word one should say," she didnt say that she herself was no longer Junk, only that this word should not be used.

We can't really assume that this means she doesnt view herself as "Junk" even tho the word shouldnt be used. If you hear her voice then, it is still full of bitterness. Also, before she died, you see that she still had so so much hatred for Shinku. So i think that up to before Gin died, she still viewed herself as incomplete. (of course ultimately its still an assumption on my part).

At least, up to that particular time, we know that Shinku for one doesn't view Gin as Junk in anyway anymore.

However, when they were rebuild, I'm preeetty sure Gin got her torso back. In the last episode, we saw this:

Rozen pressed on Gin's abdomen, and it was solid. But I'm not too sure if where he pressed is too high or not (i.e he pressed above the gaping hole). But doesnt mattter, the fact that they even included that scene makes me quite sure that she is complete now. (I may be proved wrong in S3 tho, who knows?) So on your question grey, I don't think its fair to call Gin junk anymore.

But actually it really boils down to what the defintion of Junk is. If junk means incomplete, then essentially all the RMs are Junk. But if Junk means really low down unfinished products (like Gin in S1) then with Shinku's view in mind, none of the RM's are junk because each is special in its own way (even if Gin still has that gaping hole.)

Anyway, anyway.., have you seen Season 2 aswell ?

I have to say, the episode 5 of season 1 (Stairs), to me was the funniest of the entire series, Suisei Seki is just plain so devious there, one can't realy help at liking her so much.

It was a great episode though, it realy gaved another side to the anime.., it gets more emphasised in season 2 aswell when Kana shows up.

Despite beeing "fillers" they are wonderfully well done and sure as hell the most funniest of episodes of Rozen Maiden :)

Your skills are very, VERY good Solwy.., but I honestly don't see how you are going to get that done.., the screencap is too blurry and dark.., not to mencione it will be EXTREAMLY hard for you to get good detail in the picture of Gin.., not to mencione the extensive feathers.

Either way though.., its definitly a challenge.., but if you can make it.., I cannot even begin to imagine what an unbelivable wallpaper it would become.

I noticed something. In all the fan-drawn paintings, only Shinku is the one without boobs (flat-chested). No joke.

I had a wall paper once where the artist/s drew the RMs to be in their late teens, and only Shinku was the flatty there.

Actually, funny that you mentioned it, because about half an hour ago I just found out that one of our employees back in my country just fucked us up pretty bad. Because we had no interest in selling a few things, we gave him a lot of stuff away, including her cell-phone, which she instructed him to change to his name.
Turns out that now, three years later, he has been using it in her name, and the bills sum to be over 2k USD, AND it's in her name.

So yeah, trust CAN be a nasty thing :\

I don't think Shinku would find anyone attractive except Kunkun. My appearance is very Jun-like (I have glasses, same hair) The only things different is that I remain calm in many situations, I go to school and like Barasuishou, quiet.

@Zero - Your idea to have a Rozen Maiden RP forum isn't bad at all.., I'm sure I don't speak alone on this.

Altough there would be a problem.., there are only 7 Rozen Maiden.., 8 if we count Kira.., and overall 10 characters if we count Jun and Nori.

Unless Laplace No Ma or some other character was added aswell, its safe to assume that there wouldn't be enough role's for everyone.

Not to mencione that surely alot would want to play Gin.. :p

All and all, its a good idea.., needs alot of work to make it work, but.., if you think it can happen; go for it.

It would definitly help though if Rozen Maiden had its own forum here in AnimeSuki boards.., like in the "Older series discussion"

We do have currently more people active then the Chrno Crusade Boards for example.

Not to mencione the amount of pictures usualy posted (another thread); Flo has also given us some very nice Rozen Maiden Avi's; and also there could be another thread for un-solved questions about the series.., in which, when it comes to RM.., there are alot.

Currently from what I have seen, this thread here in AS forums has been the meeting place of many Rozen Maiden fan's..., simply because there is no other place.

I think all above justifies as enough to have an own board of its own.., after all it is a Very good anime.

I just hope some of the admins of AS now by chance see this post. :)

I have done RPs for series that I liked before, but it was a long time ago, and they never lasted long enough for us to have fun with it, since I tend to complicate things a bit too much. And my lack of english knowledge also imposes a problem there; I don't know if I can manage to express myself well enough in it.

The personality and behaviour is different because unlike her counterpart, she only fights when she needs to and is not sadistic about turning others to junk. She is a little bit more powerful than the original and can use her feathers as devastating weapons.


(Note: Kranei Maiden dolls work as a team unlike the Rozen Maiden and are the unofficial players of the Alice Game and can obtain the RM's roza mystica if victorious.)
