By the looks I see it, you'll end up making one for each Rozen Maiden :p
Lets see, we have 1 for Bara already, 4 for Gin and one with Gin, Sui, Sou and Shinku (this of which you still have planned to remake with the remaining Maiden)

Anyway, I would say good luck on this Sui wall, but given the perfection that you acomplished on the last ones.., I belive you won't even need any :heh:

A "few" pages back there was a debate as to why Jun would give the dolls music boxes as presents. The dolls themselves function by gears turning inside their bodies, and a music box works the same way. The music box creates beautiful music, thus Jun was telling the dolls that he found each doll beautiful.

It also explains why Suiseiseki reacted the way she did when she recieved the gift. Though she hates humans, Jun was the first human who treated her with respect, and she was able to trust and love him back.

I don't think Jun actually respects her. Cares for her, maybe, but doesn't seem to respect her (what with his 'evil doll' phrases. Well, Suiseiseki started calling him 'Chibi Ningen' first).

I don't think so..

Most will agree that Nori as a character is neither well interesting nor essencial or 100% relevant to the story.

I have always seen Nori as a suport character for Jun.., altough her character development hits its reason on episode 11 of season 1, before the previous episode and the ones after it.., she little to none has any significant importance in the story / and with the characters.

Nori is a important link to Jun though.., just as I previously mencioned its in episode 11 where such a link is crucial in order to call Jun to reason; never the less I don't think she is well acomplished as a character.., this given the fact that so many others in Rozen Maiden are.., it was natural that someone would get the shaft..

I don't belive that even in her part to emphasise Jun's problem in season 1 was well acomplished.., since Shinku on her own did a much better job at that..

Though Nori's role in the story came to a good conclusion, this meaning.., she was there for Jun..;
I recon her manners, design & personality don't appeal to many who watch the series.

I find it funny to watch though what constantly happens to that guy (which we don't even know his name) that keeps trying to ask her for a date :p

Maybe we will see a bigger support by part of her on Suisei Seki due to the loss of Sou and Hina on season 3.., but that is just random guessing..

We do know his name, last name anyway. Yamamoto or something. Nori calls his name when he tries to confess right outside of their school's basketball count (?). It's the ep where Nori has to go home early to have cake with everyone...so I'm thinking it's Ep 5 of season 1.

Nori has even less importance/fewer scenes in the manga, i think. I hope she will be more important in the future...

In short, she is one of those characters that while not of any obvious importance, the show simply cannot do without.

Actually, she had importance before that episode 11, in the first episode of season one she served to set the scene for Jun's Hikkikomari (sorry if i murdered the sp) background. Hell, she almost singlehandedly opened the Anime (forgetting that prologue opener by the victorian child). So yeah, while not a main character, she is still essential to the RM plot.

I really really pity that guy.. :p

I agree with the view that Nori isn't an important character which probably explains the lack of fanart of her. About the guy who seems to like Nori, he should have been cut out of the show because his part really serves no purpose. His and Nori's relationship didn't even advance at all through both season!

Yeah its a complete KunKun episode, so we know what Shinku oooos and ahs at. Its not really an OVA, since it has nothing related to either season's plots, except KunKun of course. More like a DVD extra? Enjoy it :)

Well, despite being a doll, Suigintou has a warrior's spirit. She was thinking: "If I can't beat Shinku, nobody can! For only I can defeat her!" That's like a warrior not allowing another person killing his arch-rival, because he wanted to be the one who defeats him.

But yeah, having Suigintou and Shinku quarrel over petty issues will be a fun watch.

Again at first view I will have to agree with Lost.., on the original, definitly no other colour then the ones that Sui originaly uses (green, white, pastel) would fit the wallpaper..

But thing is.., we don't know what concept your planning for the wall.., so.., if you ended up making one like the one you previously did for Gin, it would look amazing if you reverted the colours on Sui aswell ^^

Either way, I belive you should never the less make one with her in her original aspect, then if the chance presents itself, make a reverse theme.

No, no. Series 1. When Shinku stopped moving because of Gin-sama's feather stuck in her mechanical parts (ingenious!). Suiseiseki said to Jun (who was tied up at that time) that Rozen Maiden dolls react when their medium is in danger, before she dropped a water heater onto his head. She then conjures a kitchen knife and dropped it on Jun, which landed right beside his face (love that expression on Jun's face. Priceless).

And regarding Duellwaltzer, it is a Japanese PS2 game. Yep, PS2. *shrugs*

I had actualy overlooked that at the time.., and honestly.., if it wasn't for your keen eye Mince, and reporting it here, I probably would have passed by that scene without paying attention; even if I watched it again.

Anyway, upon reading the comments here I just had to go open episode 7 and confirm it :)

And to my amazement.., Sui REALY does conjure / trace / whatever you want to call it, a Knife out of thin air !

Upon seeing this the thought of a picture posted by Flo some time ago, which showed a cross-over between Shinku & Archer came to mind.., as in..
They should have placed Sui there instead, for she Clearly possesses the same Ability has him, Trace On ! :p

Not to mencione the fact though.., if she did the trace of the Knife in that moment.., why on earth didn't she use this during the battles.., I mean.., with a bit of luck maybe she could have even pulled off a sort of.. Unlimited Knife Works !

You don't know? It is obvious as daylight that Suiseiseki is out to steal chibi ningen's heart (and obviously, she failed again and again. Chibi's heart stays with Shinku...for now).

Maybe it's because she didn't really want to fight. All I know is that what she did in episode 7 makes her a potentially very dangerous doll. Thank goodness she isn't insane. BTW, Rozen Maiden Traumend deserves a thread this big. It's the best anime I've seen in years.

This has already been proven by Shinku who used Hina's vines, Gin-sama's feathers and her rose petals with devastating effect. And Barasuishou used Suiseiseki's watering can, Souseiseki's shears, Kanaria's violin and her crystal attacks real well.

Wait, Gin did use them to fight for her, those broken dolls in her field in episode 6, S1. Nah, she still used her own sword. Hmmm.. I guess given their abilities, the dolls dont see a need to augment them, and especially not Sui, who would no doubt look down on the Chibi Ningyen weapons.

Yep thats a good point, it wouldnt be fair to create dolls with unequal powers and then put them against each other. Its sad really, this lovy-durvy child-like stuff. But at least we saw that Hina was strong enuff to accept her own fate (*sob*), and Kanaria too, at the end. I think abang summed it up well; they just dont really have the will to kill.

About that question, Rozen doesn't get actively involved in the game (unless he needs to intervene, of which the circumstances of S2 necessitated) nor does he control or own any RM, unlike Enju; because unlike Enju, Rozen doesn't have a "favourite" doll. As long as Alice is born.

And who say Suigintou's weak? In S1, she could stand 1 vs 1 against Shinku when Shinku isn't using Jun's energy. In S2, she lasted incredibly long despite not drawing energy from Megu. And she trashed Hinaichigo, Souseiseki, and Suiseiseki with no problems. And even Kanaria's violin attacks seem trivial to her. She is, by far, the strongest Rozen Maiden if we minus the medium factor, and if given a proper medium, she will be incredibly powerful.

However, Megu isn't exactly medium material. She is half dead! Drawing energy from her will kill her, something Suigintou is reluctant to do. Why? To her, Megu is a very close friend, probably like a sister to her even.

Speaking about Souseiseki's shears, she couldn't even cut Barasuishou. From what I see, it is lethal but easily dodged. It is too easy to predict where Souseiseki is going to slash. And finally, Suigintou could very easily break past her defense and kill her (Grope of Death!).

Even with Jun as Shinku's power source, she is still wary of Suigintou. After all, she knew Suigintou is still, all in all, powerful.

Oh, and Suigintou is mostly powered by sheer willpower, testimony that the strength of the will must never be underestimated. Probably one of the reasons I worship her: Her willpower!

I think that after seeing Hina Ichigo's vines and Souseiseki's watering can used by different dolls, everyone should realize that the strength of the weapon is irrelevant. All that maters is the strength of the doll using that weapon.

Perhaps different weapons are better at certain tasks, lending themselves to different strategies or certain opponents, but any weapon is strong if weak if the doll using it is weak or strong if the doll using it is strong. That's what matters most.

Ah, I had to agree with this one. We had seen Hinaichigo being the weak one, as Suigintou could easily break through her entanglement. However, when Shinku used the same vines, Barasuishou had to use the violin to break free. This pretty much show that the strength of the doll matters more.

And then, the last episode of Traumend, Bara and Shinku demonstrates that one weapon counters another, e.g. Shears vs Feathers, Feathers vs Vines, Violin Vs Vines, etc etc. The weapon effectiveness is pretty much of the paper-scissors-stone affair.

I think hina ichigo vines are a bit weak because she is borrowing Shinku's power(remember season 1?(again?)her vines are very tight until shinku cant escape although both of them using their medium's power).

If you do notice, in Season 1, Souseiseki, Suiseiseki and Hinaichigo has zero chance to even defeat Suigintou. Even if Suigintou did not use her entire left wing, the outcome is still the same, she pwned them. Notice that they couldn't even get close to use any attacks against her, and the danger of being reduced into pieces of porcelain due to the scatter-shot feathers (it works kinda like a shotgun) forces them into the defensive. With no opportunity to attack, they can't hope to win. However, due to time constraints, Suigintou did not have the luxury of time to slowly dismember them with her feathers, and decided to end it quickly with her entire left wing. She is rushing to get to Shinku at that time.

But let's say both Suigintou and Shinku were using mediums with similar energy reserves as Jun, Suigintou and Shinku will be a match against each other, with none of the other dolls, save for Kirakishou or Barasuishou, anywhere near their power. Why? Because Suigintou, as acknowledged by even Shinku herself, is a very powerful doll, and all that power was coming from sheer will. Now add in the proper medium factor and Suigintou will be a terror.

And yes, did you notice that Kanaria's violin attack has absolutely no effect against Shinku, during that episode when she first attacked the Sakurada household? And remember that Suigintou, even without a medium, is already almost at Shinku's level in terms of strength (unless you add in the medium factor, Suigintou will be on par with Shinku)? If the attack does not affect Shinku, chances are, it will be the same with Suigintou.

And remember, while Souseiseki could not even break through Barasuishou's barrier, Suigintou, by drawing a bit of Megu's power, could easy break through it, and at that point in the N-field, if Suigintou wasn't so busy marvelling at the power a medium could give her, she would at that very moment turn Barasuishou to junk. And Barasuishou would not had defeated her without a Coup d'Grace, showing what kind of dangerous enemy Suigintou really is.

Allright.., I have to say I disagree with a couple of things, but never the less.., agree with some aswell.

What I mean by this is.., and taking evidence from the lines quoted above where Gin is mencioned..

On season 1 we assume that Gin has awaken without a medium, altough we do not have the specific details on how such happened.., she through the entire season has always remained on her own.

Thus comproving my theory (long, long, LONG posted ago..., I recon 6x pages back), in which I stated that each Rozen Maiden has herself her own limited power supply; which in the case of Gin and Sui, throughout the entire season 1 enabled them to walk freely without a medium.

Altough this power does not equal that of what a Rozen Maiden can take from a medium, each Rozen Maiden probably has her own level of power.

Thus supporting the fact that Gin has always been adressed to as the most powerfull of all the Rozen Maiden, this despite beeing the first one made.
So naturaly her power could not equal used when Shinku increased hers by using Jun as her medium, but all and all how well she stod her ground realy gives us an in-sight on how powerfull Gin realy is.

Still, she to be able to stand her ground vs Shinku as it is shown to us in Jun's N-Field, Gin required to use her power to maxium, which even led to the manipulation of her wings into the forms she did.

This compleatly chipped the balance in the fight, as to even Gin was able to defeat Shinku for those moments where she even toke her arm off; never the less.., this used great quantities of her power.

Adding this and the fact that after that Sui and Sou recovered they're artificial spirits, I belive Gin at that moment would have had already lost arround half of her potential; thus when Sou, Sui and Hina engaged in battle against her, she in the end was forced to leash out a great deal of power to be able to win vs them, such a strain indeed which even forced her to compleatly use one of her wings against them.

Never the less.. even so she was able to defeat them.
Problem is.., vs Shinku after, she then had alot of problems.., with only 1 wing and her power almost drained.., she clearly had no chance to win vs her... specialy since she was using Jun aswell.

So the conclusion is.., Gin alone did win vs Sou+Sui+Hina.., but she was forced to extend her power to a dangerous limit, which even costed her a wing to do so..; but all and all this is due to the fact that she first had used great quantities to win vs Shinku.

Let us not forget though.., in support of Sui..., she unlike Sou did not have a medium.., and as we clearly see in season 2, once Jun becomes her medium.., she is even able to stand against Bara for a few moments.
So if Jun had been her medium in this previous battle.., things would have probably gone alot diferent for Gin right away.

Now what I agree in the statement I previously quoted is the fact that the weapons themselves have no power, that they are in fact just "abilities".
Thus when a Rozen Maiden obtains a Rosa Mystica from another Rozen Maiden.., she gains those "abilities" aswell as the artifical spirit.

The power that the Rozen Maiden possesses, either it be drawned from a Medium or using her own, is what determines how powerfull her abilities realy are.

A great example of this is indeed Kana's violin..., before even when using her full power she could not even damage Shinku nor Bara.., but after absorving Sui's Rosa Mystica, her power increased and its effects where clearly shown when she used her violin ability vs Bara again.

Thus the conclusion is.., the power that a Rozen Maiden has crealy determines how powerfull her attack's / weapons / abilties are.

I hope it clears up a few doubts :)

What really attracted me to Suigintou was actually both her looks and personality.

Before I watch Rozen Maiden, I saw a picture of Suigintou, looking all haughty. I was intrigued by her silver hair and her cat-like violet eyes. That was the beginning though.

So I found out that she was from Rozen Maiden and started downloading and watching it. And by episode 3, I heard her laugh. It sent a chill down my spine, and that only attracted me towards her character more. Then throughout second half of season 1, we saw the insanity and cruelty of Suigintou, and finally, the revelation that she was powered by willpower, and she was really a depressed doll, and the pure core within her, that made me a Suigintou fanboy. (I am beginning to suspect Suigintou represents purity)

Then in Season 2, Suigintou met Megu, and developed compassion. That only made her even more attractive.

In short, I like Suigintou because she is beautiful, compassionate, slightly insane and cruel in the same time. Imagine, a girl who is beautiful and compassionate, yet insane and cruel in the same time. What's not to love?

Kira and Bara are always good in my eyes. With an evil exterior, Kira must have a mysterious interior. In fact, I feel pity for her. She must have suffered a lot to do a lot that she does now. Kirakishou may be the result of Rozen's insanity to find Alice.

It would be a giant twist if Jun's school crush was Kira's medium. Then the story would be taken up a whole new level.

I support them, but unfortunately, I can't find the pics so as a result, can't post them. But if I knew where and how, I will gladly post them. 4chan is just too complex for me and I can't find anything (too disorganised).

I do not know if Kira is trapped in the N-field because there must be a logical explanation regarding her body, could it have been destroyed in an incident and now she's trapped?

Also, we do not who winded Kira up unless Rozen made Kira permanently awake.
