Personally, in S1 I detested everything about Gin, her laugh, her eyes, and generally her viciousness. However, the end of S1 did much to elevate most of that, becuase I understood what drove her. I ended up pitying her. However, in S2, where she started fighting (from Sou, until she died) I didn't like her again because alot of that viciousness showed thru again. :D I know Mince likes that viciousness tho. :p

Well I just finished both seasons in three days. I really liked this series.

Throughout the whole thing though, I got the feeling that dolls represented people on a metaphorical level. Dolls are created after man like man is created after god (I'm talking if your christian, which I am not). These dolls worship and believe in father as their maker just as people believe in religion. And, just like humans, to fight is to live, at least that seems to be humanities case. The dolls even displayed the range of human emotion and many personalities. I kinda though this whole thing was a comment on humanity. I don't know who Jun would be portraying in that theory, but whatever :P I'm probably reading WAY to deep into this; darn English class messing up my brain by making me analyze everything.

I like Suiseiseki the most :D. I wish Jun had payed more attention to her.

Ooooo I like your take on the whole father thing, and if you consider if the maidens know that god (father) exists it makes Sui's declaration of her sisters happiness over Rozen's much more poignant, well if you are religious that is....

Oh I am not saying that I agree with the maker = god thing in the maidens eyes, because I am not religious myself so I can't really make an association there.

If you ever have the time and are crazy enough to read all 4000+ pages (grats Wanderer on the got), you will see how deep we all read into to RM too :)

Well, assumingly that by the end of Traumend, Rozen made Gin-sama a belly, we can see that her figure is the same as when she had no stomach.

So with or without stomach, she has an hourglass figure. The costume, however, is more triangular than hourglass, so it doesn't fit Gin-sama.

BTW, is it just me or does Shinku look like a cheap doll? In other words, if you were to see all the dolls at an upscale store laid out in front of you, Shinku will look like the cheapest doll out of all of them. If I were to put a price on each doll it would come out like this:

Well, we do know the two of them were really close, but I don't know about the compatibility, seeing that Jun isn't in the same class as Shinku (Shinku = Lady, but Jun =/= Gentleman. Shinku = elegant, but Jun = crude), and not to mention, Jun is still treated as a 'servant' normally.

Though, Jun can still serenade Shinku with his 1337 sewing skills, I suppose.

To use the Login Studio skin requires Login Studio to be installed. The program makes changing the login screen safe, otherwise you would have to hack your os to change the login screen.

It is already established that Suiseiseki likes, no, I mean, loves Jun alot. Probably wished that he carries her princess-style everyday even. However, it doesn't matter if Jun becomes disappointed with Shinku without certain parts, because all the other dolls would probably be missing them as well. They are antique Victorian porcelain dolls (being made in Germany, can we still call them Victorian?), not Dutch wives.

Though I think Jun's not that shallow. If he is going to get attracted to dolls, it would be due to their personality.

Oh, and if Suiseiseki doesn't overcome her little problem, she is not going to make much progress in getting Jun to like her. And as long as she still has that problem, she will have to pout while seeing Shinku being super-glued to him whenever he is at home.

As for Suigintou....she would be spending more time worrying about Megu and scheming on how to spoil Shinku's day than to fulfill the fancies of Jun.

And speaking of spoiling Shinku's day, I would recommend Gin-sama to spoil the Sakurada television cable. One day without Kunkun for Stinku. Hah hah hah!

After reading back 13 pages..., I realy missed this.. :)

First of all.. my apologies to everyone for having left out of the blue for almost 1 month as I did; and specialy my apologies if I worried anyone in the process..
Thing is..

As I had posted almost a month ago, I was going to make a check-up in my pc hardware and an extensive format on all my disks and installing everything again.
In a week or so I was able to do such and even dropped by here again after, altough bad luck it seems had the best of me.., for I still encountered some problems and had to format everything again..

So.. after a few check-ups, etc. I was ready to install Windows and all the rest once more.. when.. well.. I got sick :p
I caught a pretty bad Cold and Fever which practicaly placed me to bed for almost a week.., so naturaly only now since I still had to install everything again, was I able to finaly drop by.

All seems to be working well so far, and I hope it remains to do so :p ; and I myself am all well aswell..., just.. a bit sad... since I now have ALOT of catching-up to do.
(I belive I now know how Physics felt when he returned from his vacations)

But anyway.., lets get right too it.. :)

I see we have more new faces here, and in particular..

I'm realy happy you finaly decided to start watching it Death, and even more that you, like most of us here, if not all... fell in love with it.
Its realy needless to say Rozen Maiden is just that GREAT of an Anime.

Its so many un-asnwered questions are what make it so good aswell.., its realy what leaves us to imagine and speculate on what lies behind the actions, reasons and events that through these 24 episodes are shown to us.
But I belive everyone already knows this aswell :)

All and all on this aspect though, if you wish.., you can do like Catgirls said and go back 2xx pages to catch on some ideas / prespectives regarding all the questions in RM..; but.. Honestly.., I doubt you have the pacience :p

So.., I belive I speak on behalf of everyone when I say you are most welcomed to post anyones you come up with.
New or Old - I am sure no one nor I will mind discussing them again.

I feel realy bad for having missed the 4000th post aswell :( , but on another side I am realy happy that this thread is as active as it ever was.

I see Solwy made us another Sui wall aswell, which needless to say.., its another great work on his behalf :) , Junk June has also came to an end.. altough I am pretty sure that this will not stop Gin from winning the Alice Cup !

Honestly I am not a huge football fan.., altough I do find it funny that Sousei Seki (Italy) and Gin(Germany) are facing off with each other.., since they in the anime did aswell.
Talk about perfect choices :)

In fact though.., I also strongly support the fact that Gin will come out victorious ( this despite even my team is still playing )

So.., we might still see a bit of "Junk" in July..., also this since Jum pictures are hard to come by ^^

On a last note.., Solwy told me that still no news about a 3rd season have been shown.., and each day we draw closer to september / october..
I do belive a riot will brake out if we don't get some news sooner or later :p

But ah well.., we can only hope for such ^^

Welcome back Alu!! Sorry to hear that you fell ill; glad that all is well now. You know, it didnt hit me at all that Sou (Italy) is going up against Gin (Germany). Woah. Is that coincidence or what? Anyhow, My PC's name is Claudia; not related to RM at all :heh: Got the name from the anime Last Exile. Fits her really well, since she's an old and loyal workhorse and just exudes that oldish charm. I haven't given my pc a name because I have never thought of naming it. But I have given my 2 telescopes names. My main scope is called Suiseiseki, because I spend the most time with it. My other scope is called Suigintou because one day I plan on painting the tube a shade of grey and paint two black roses on the dew shield (this scope is aslo called the Rose Scope).

I just saw the review, it must have been an amazing game, but from what I saw what was realy best about it was how it ended.

Much like in the Alice Game on the Anime.., a very swift, percise and strong blow declared the victory; I mean.., could it have been anymore perfect ?

When Sou was going all out in the Game, Gin with one strike in Sou's chest defeats her; in the Cup with 2 minutes to the end Italy (Sou) strikes Germany(Gin) with 2 goals.. compleatly rendering her defeated.

Truly unbelivable.., they match so perfectly only though with reversed characters :p
Allas.., I support what has been previously said.., since Sou did not win in the Alice Game.., she got her revenge in the most mirror-perfect way in the Cup :)

Yep! It was the currency.. also not really a substance, more like a unit of measurement. :heh: I had wanted to name my second (future) PC "Euris" which would be the name of Alex's dead gf, but I found a far better one. :)

Two friends of mine caught me watching Rozen Maiden in Polytechnic (laptop, obviously) and demanded I lend them my CD. Now they are hooked, and had became fanboy/girl.

Though both of them declared Shinku as their favourite doll, and one of them declared that she likes Souseiseki as her second favourite.
