Edit: Meh need sum ideas for my next chapter, focusing alittle more on Stinku and co. and pinch of ideas for Kira (And yes she's still stalking Gin and Megu)

I didn't diss her, I just said she means nothing to me, I never said anything bad about Gin.

As for the ideas, Kirakishou can "haunt" Gin by giving her flashbacks about Kira and Gin together in the past but not fully revealing herself. Get it? (Like Kirakishou is just a dark shadow in Gin's nightmares)

As for Shinku and the gang, they can meet Megu and could accidentally bump into Suigintou or Kirakishou.

Barasuishou (the original or the most powerful) watches the dolls (either Gin or Shinku's gang) creates a trap for them with Kira's help (probably bribe Kira that Gin will be with her or whatever.)

Maybe can develop on Shinku coping with the revelation that their are more ways than fighting to be Alice, what she remembers, how she has changed from the last fight in that garden - in light with Kira stealing Hina and Sou. Some character insight would be great.. Sui development would be good too, maybe in a specific example; she cant stand Shinku's pacifism, and so goes out alone to confront Gin, wrongly thinking that Gin is behind it... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT. Just one thing, *Sui MUST not die!!* :D :heh:

If Tomoe is emo :sad: and likes cutting herself :mad: , I believe Gin would have loved her for a few days before slashing Tomoe's body with unlimited feather works (Gin hates emo).

Actually a movie idea sounds great. Bara could return in an improved body (probably able to withstand the Roza Mystica). Eight Rozen Maiden in a giant free for all battle sounds good despite it being chaotic.

Anyway, Rozen brought Gin back in her original 'incomplete' form. It seemed like in ep.12 he fixes her ribbon then places his hands on her stomach, as if to suggest she was now a complete doll. Was he waiting all these years for her to develop a non-violent (and therefore emotionally conducive) relationship with a human before fixing her?

I'm totally convinced that Rozen is the God of Dolls who watches over them all from his n-Field known as 'Doll Heaven.'

Its not up to you or to me to say whose the target audience of the manga is, the only one who decides is the publisher of the manga.

Maybe the artist's going to show the finished Kira model in C70 (Comic market#70) just like his Suigintou model (http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/view/17977) in Wonder Festival 2005. (I'm not sure about this..)

My friend told me that when he saw a picture of Suigintou model last year.
A very next day,he found that The maker gave this model to Rie Tanaka-san (Suigintou's CV) already.....As it had been writen in Rie-san's diary.

He was ready to proceed to the next phase.

Enju: Ahh…Rozen’s finest masterpiece and the life force of his precious duagthers, the Rozen Mystical. No matter how I see it, they are prefect in everyway, no flaws, no weaknesses. Even if studying the Rozen Mystical for hundreds of years, it is impossible to recreate them.

Shirosaki: I’m glad you understand that planning to create your owned ‘Rozen Maidens’ is futile.

Enju: *grin* Oh you’re mistake Shirosaki; You see, as perfect the Rozen Mystical may seem, nothing is said that you can’t give them, how should I say, ‘add-ons’. *Souseiseki’s Rozen Mystical appears in Enju’s hand* and this here is perfect for my following experiments.

Tho if Enju died I wouldnt mind. And If Laplace died I would jump on my seat and scream desu~!

But Hina left behind a lot more people to be sad about her, there is:

Tomoe, Jun, Shinku, COT, Nori and Sui (she loves her really, honest guv!), whilst Bara has only Enju and we don't really know if he went with her or not.

So for me I felt really sad for Hina, and I felt even more sadness for everyone else too.

PS. I did think Bara's death was a sad too, but I was feeling a mite angry with her for kebabing Shinku.

Kanaria's death was very sad to me. I dunno why, It's not like I'm a real big fan of her but It just made me sad. All of them did. Hina's in the manga wasn't very saddening. Her's in the anime however is very sad. I didn't think Souseiseki's was sad because I really disliked her in that episode. Suigintou's was sad but I thought Barasuishou was sadder and kinda dumb, it seemed like a stupid way to kill off a character to pretty much say 'if there is another season or something she won't be in it'...so yeah.

Hina's death wasn't as sad for me as Sou's, or even Bara's. I did shed a tear as she began to wind down in Tomoe's arms, but those two have a special interaction. Souseiseki died needlessly, even if Gin was doing it for Megu's sake and not totally for the Alice Game. The way she was beaten, and Sui's breakdown... It killed me inside.

Bara's was a death of mixed feelings. Of course she led everyone to their demise, etc... But she was really just "doing it for father," i.e. being manipulated by Enju, who was in turn being manipulated by Laplace's Demon. The happiness (and personality) she finally showed after winning was borderline cute. Plus watching a doll break and shatter piece by piece should be hard for any RM fan.

It's weird though how the last couple minutes of the last episode leave so many questions answered, while giving a kind of resolution. I'm not optimistic about the 2006 TBS Anime Festa (it'll probably be a special showing of Träumend) but hopefully they make an announcement about season 3 / OVA plans. The closing scene just begs for a Kirakishou story arc.

Yeah, they were very sad... even Bara's which was surprising considering how much I wanted her to get lost lol but crumbling in his arms like that was pretty emotional especially when you consider how close Enju was to finally pulling one over Rozen. I just love the comedy moments of the show though so sorry if it sounded like I overlooked all the intense and sad bits. In fact the reason I liked this series so much was because of Suigin Tou and how she was broken and trying to become perfect in the first season. I loved her and Megu in the second season aswell and I wish they could've gone into them in more detail... I found myself really angry at the whole Alice Game thing and especially Rozen for letting sisters kill each other so I'm glad there is another solution to Alice, but I wonder why Rozen didn't tell them about that to start with and then have the Alice Game as a last priority. In fact I wonder why he is so obsessed with Alice, I know if I had his skills I would be rolling in the $$$ lol. I was quite annoyed with Sousei Seki aswell for her selfless (or selfish depending on how you look at it) devotion to Rozen's dream of Alice but I guess that is part of her nature. All in all I really like Rozen Maiden and yes I thought episode 10 was sad.

The scenes that saddens me the most are Gin's death scenes. I've never felt so sad towards a villain until RM. That was the one moment that brought me close to tears (never cried while watching any anime at all though), the clothes burning revealing her incomplete body, her lamentation towards father not completing her, and her tears...I don't like Shinku that much because of that scene and her attitude towards Gin in the first season. Megu's explaining of her situation to Gin is also painful, especially when she talked about the ages that she was supposed to die. Hina's was sad but not as touching although it was done superbly. Gin's second death touched me again, because she sacrificed herself in order not to harm Megu.

It's possible that Kira would have a sad/touching death scene if season 3 were to take place. I'm amazed that Rozen Maiden can give that much of a character development that almost everyone can at least symphatize with most of the characters.

I want season 3! I miss Gin-sama's moe laughter~~~

Kirakishou's death... Hm... That would mean that a true Alice Game would have to be played out. Hina and Sousei would probably have to remain out of the picture during that time (in order to tie in with the manga more closely)... Logic would suggest that, after a long and hard-fought battle, Shinku and Suigintou team up to beat Kira.

Perhaps by eliminating a source of real evil, Kira, and being able to tolerate each other, can a Rozen Maiden take that one step closer to becoming Alice. As for Rozen, I'm sure he lamented the loss of Hina and Souseiseki, while at the same time knowing they could be rejuvenated somehow. The dude's a genius. IMO he pretty much discovered Rosa Mystica and created living dolls, n-Fields, the access to dreams... plus he's immortal or something, since the dolls were constructed sometime in the mid- or late 19th century. Laplace's Demon is probably just a balancing force.

Souseiseki died because she was ready to fight. Suiseiseki, on the other hand, had no intention of fighting. Sou was so caught up in the moment, so determined to become Alice, that she even threatened her sister, although it was only to distract her.

Maybe if Sou-chan had been less gung-ho and more patient, she would have survived longer. But then Suiseiseki never would have grown at all as a character. A lot of her development in Träumend focuses on Souseiseki. It's unfortunate that the writers decided to kill her off without letting us get to know her better, but that's just another reason to want a season 3.

i think it was right that sou died and not sui...i think its cuse sou had already showed us wht her personality is and even if she was allowed to live longer...nothing much more special can come out of her...but sui on the other hand has plenty to give still so therefore didnt get the boot ;)

There's the possibility that once Shinku learns why Gin wants to kill her, that Shinku and Gin will join forces to defeat Kira. Once Kira is dead, Shinku and Gin will part ways with the understanding that they will always hate each other but won't try to kill the other because of the risks. If Gin is killed by Shinku Megu will have nobody to love her, and that is something Gin will not risk her life for.

I think Kanaria's death was sad because she was so scared to face up to Bara and yet she did, even doing the unthinkable (stealing the RM) that would really piss Bara off, just to protect Suiseiseki. Because, in the earlier episodes she was never ever much of a threat to the dolls anyway. All talk. I didnt feel sad for Souseiseki when she died, I felt sad for Suiseiseki when Sou died. And I was pissed at Gin.

Very hard to say for me, I really do not know at this point. At least if I knew a little more about her (history, medium, emotions(?), etc etc) I would be able to predict the way it would go, but I dont know.

In retrospect it is quite sad, because it was like an injustice to Gin to be unfairly incomplete, tho to be entirely honest I did not feel sad at all when I watched it. :heh: Moe~!?? I hardly think so.. :p

I understand what you are trying to say RM-FAN, and it is true that Sou didnt get much development time but in all honesty I think that the conflict did develop her for us sufficiently. We saw that she was the cool, principled doll. We saw that she loved father very much, and that she was a honourable, loyal doll.. remember that she didnt exactly want to do it; but she had to choose between two evils.. seeing "Rozen" (she did not know it was Enju) cry, or seeing Sui cry. Obviously, she chose to side with her creator and who can blame her? Blame Bara and Enju and Laplace.

In addition, I would rather see more of Suiseiseki than Souseiseki. if you ask me, RM-FAN, I think that Sui's character is more fun and dynamic than Sou's. You dont see Sou giving Hina hell do you? Or lovingly kick Jun do you? :D

Maybe they are waiting for Peach Pit to finish their story (in order to have a real and coherent end (well it will be difficult... to fit the manga anyways)....And since Peach Pit is releasing 2 vols per year... if there is to be a 3rd Rozen Maiden round, I don't think that it would come before automn 2007.

The Death of Hinaichigo

Once upon a time there lived in a certain city Hinaichigo, the most innocent and prettiest creature who was ever seen. Her caretaker, Jun, and her sisters Shinku and, to a lesser extent Suiseiseki were fond of her; and Jun's sister Nori doted on her still more. Nori had a little pink riding hood made for her. It suited the girl so extremely well that everybody called her Little Pink Riding Hood: Though Suiseiseki still called her chibi-chibi.

One day Nori, having made some cakes, said to her, "Go and see how Tomoe is doing, for I hear she has been very ill. Take her a cake, and this little bag of strawberries."

Little Pink Riding Hood set out immediately to go to Tomoe, who lived not too far away. As she was going through a park, she met with an innocent-looking, but truly wicked doll, who had a very great mind to eat her up but she dared not, because she wanted to play with her victim. She asked her where she was going.

The poor child, who did not know that it was dangerous to stay and talk to such a wicked doll said to her, "I am going to see Tomoe and carry her a cake and a little bag of strawberries from Nori ~na no."

"Does she live far off?" asked the doll.

"Oh I say," answered Little Pink Riding Hood; "it is beyond that store you see
there."

"Well," said the doll, "and I'll go and see her too. I'll go this way and go you that way, and we shall see who will be there first."

The wicked doll flew as fast as she could, taking the quickest path, and the little girl took a roundabout way, entertaining herself by gathering nuts, running after butterflies, gathering bouquets of little flowers, and riding on the back of a friendly cat.

It was not long before the wicked doll arrived at Tomoe's house. She knocked at the door: tap, tap.

"Who's there?"

"Little Pink Riding Hood," replied the doll, counterfeiting her
voice; "who has brought you a cake and a little bag of strawberries sent you by
Nori."

Tomoe, who was lying on a couch, because she was somewhat ill, said, "Please come inside."

The doll entered, then immediately fell upon the sickly Tomoe and ate her up in a moment, for it been more than three years since she had eaten. She then shut the door and got onto the couch Tomoe had been lying on, expecting Little Pink Riding Hood, who came some time afterwards and knocked at the door: tap, tap.

"Who's there?"

Little Pink Riding Hood, hearing the innocent voice of the doll, was at first afraid; but she gathered up her courage and answered, "It is Little Pink Riding Hood, who has brought you a cake and a little bag of strawberries Nori sends you ~na no."

Shinku took a bite out of the roasted leg and said, "This is absolutly delicous. By the way, who is your creator?"

"He is called Rozen, and your are eating his leg," smiled the doll, "the rest of him is up there," pointing to a bloody shelf.

Shinku then learned that the doll she was speaking to was Kirakishou,the seventh Rozen Maiden, and she had killed the Rozen Maidens' creator. Shinku quickly ran away with even greater sorrow than she started with and the evil cackling laughter of Kirakishou ringing in her ears.

Many years ago I courted chibi ningen, but he was courting baka Shinku ~desu. I asked him several times to marry me instead, but he refused my pure love ~desu. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore, and I swore I'll have revenge on him ~desu. One night while he slept in his bed, I opened the window. I then picked him up, pulled him through the window, and carried him high into the air. I wanted to drop him into the lake from a great height, but I came up with a better idea ~desu. I instead sat him, completely nude, on top of the tallest tree that I could find. Chibi ningen was found near death the next day ~desu.

If you cherish your life never refuse my love ~desu! Fufufufufufu!!

I have thought about it, but my writing skills are not the greatest. Thus I prefer very short stories.

Since Enju is marrying Barasuishou, he decided to give Bara a "little" present before their wedding day. She seems to be quite happy with the present.

“Juuu~n-kuuu~n!” The young boy growled angrily as he sat at his desk. Nori’s voice sure could be annoying at times… ‘Well, most of the time.’

“Don’t bother me; I’m busy!” he shouted.

“Jun,” Shinku’s voice crisply called. “It’s rude of you to make a Lady raise her voice.” He looked over at the blond doll where she sat on his bed.

“What could possibly be so important that she’s yelling?” The door to his room creaked open, garnering the attention of both Jun and Shinku. “Nori, what the h-! Oh, Hina-ichigo?” The most childish Sister slowly peeked her head into his room.
“Jun isn’t making scary voices anymore, is he?” she asked, obviously scared.

“What do you want?” Jun deadpanned. The door swung open quickly, revealing Suiseiseki standing next to Hina. In her small hands was the house phone. “Uh?! Why are you carrying that?”

“Because, chibi-human, you have a phone call ~desu!” she huffed.

“Tell whoever it is that I’m busy.”

“Grrr… I’m not your secretary! Here!” Suiseiseki threw the receiver with all
her might, much to Jun’s surprise.

‘What has he done to that poor child already today to make her so upset?’ Shinku wondered. The phone made a rather ungraceful arc through the air and landed on Jun’s lap, rather than hitting his head as Suiseiseki had intended (she released it just a moment too early). Jun heard the tinny voice of a girl on the other end of the line. He grasped the phone and lifted it to his ear, his hand beginning to shake uncontrollably.

“Um… Hello?” he asked, almost silently.

“Jun-kun?” He immediately recognized Tomoe’s voice.

“Oh, Kashiwaba, uh… Um, how are you?” he asked awkwardly.

“I’m fine, but that’s not why I called.” She spoke quickly, making Jun wonder if there was some sort of problem. “Hina-ichigo and Shinku are still there right?”

“Of course. They never leave,” he replied in an annoyed tone. “Another ill-mannered doll is here, too.”

“Are there any others around?”

“Well, there is the other one… Suigintou, or something… OK…” The conversation immediately grabbed Shinku’s attention at that point. Hina-ichigo had returned to coloring, while Suiseiseki tried to figure out what Jun was talking about.

“Jun, with whom are you speaking?” asked Shinku, ignoring the fact that he was trying to concentrate on his conversation. “Jun… Jun!” Just as she was about to jump down and kick his shin, he ended the call with a ‘beep.’ He looked confused and uneasy. “Jun?”

“Shinku… Are there other dolls besides the three of you? There’s that one who dressed in black as well, right?”

“Yes, Suigintou.”

“There’s also Souseiseki,” Suiseiseki spoke up. “But she’s still clinging onto that old geezer she calls her master. Honestly, why would anyone want an old man as their Medium ~desu?” she continued, her voice growing fragile. Shinku noted that there must have been some kind of altercation between the twin sisters, but now wasn’t the time to bring it up.

“Would… Are there any dolls without a Medium?” Shinku was beginning to become concerned as he asked these types of questions.

“Well, there is Suiseiseki here,” replied the blond doll. Jun frowned and scratched his head.

“But she’s always here lately…”

“Is there a point to these questions?” Shinku asked, trying to get to the root of his problem.

“Suigintou doesn’t have a medium, right?”

“That child… has killed almost every Medium she has had,” Shinku stated with deadly clearness. Jun’s eyes widened. Hina-ichigo looked up from her coloring book. “She hates all humans except Father.”

“What’s wrong ~na no? Jun! Is something wrong with Tomoe?” Jun shook his head, his brow still furrowed. “Is she coming over?” Hina asked, growing excited as he slowly nodded. “Hurray! Yay, Hina gets to see Tomoe again!” As she cheered Shinku continued staring at Jun.

“Jun. Please stop this. Explain what is going on.”

“Well,” he sighed. “Tomoe… She said that her estranged older brother just called her. He said… he found some kind of living doll. He specifically called it a Rozen Maiden. Tomoe said that none of her family knew anything about Hina-ichigo, so there is no way he was just making it up.” Jun spoke slowly, trying to give the information as clearly as possible.

‘There’s no way Suigintou would choose to accept a Medium…’ Shinku reasoned.

“Shinku… If Suigintou has a master…” Suiseiseki trailed off, her voice quivering.

“No, she would never do such a thing,” Shinku stated with complete confidence. “It must be one of the other two Sisters.” All three of dolls stopped for a moment and tried to remember about those other two. “I have never met the seventh doll, and I can’t remember anything about the other.”

“Neither can I ~desu,” admitted Suiseiseki. Hina shrugged, engrossed in coloring a new picture for Tomoe.

“In any case she asked if she could bring him over here so we could all talk… I want you all to stay out of sight while he’s here,” Jun said, trying to take a strong stance in the situation. “I’ll try to gather some information.”

“Wa! Tomoe’s big brother is so cool!” Hina happily exclaimed. “He was always very nice to Tomoe ~na no. He even brought home unyuu sometimes! Even if he is Suigintou’s Medium, maybe he can make her play nice ~na no!”

“Ah~, it must be nice to be such a stupid chibi-chibi,” sighed Suigintou.

Shinku said nothing. Her face was as cool as always, but her eyes betrayed an inner concern. “Hey, Shinku,” Jun quietly said. “Does that bother you?”

“Hm? It’s nothing. When are they arriving?”

“In about an hour.”

“Ah. In that case please go and prepare some tea for me. Also, it may be a good idea for you to change out of that sweater you always wear, if you’re expecting company. Be sure to prepare tea for your guests as well, and –“

Jun sighed heavily as Shinku continued to give her suggestions. ‘Even if he’s with that Suigintou doll… It might be nice to have another human who’s a Medium to talk with. If he’s anything like Tomoe, I shouldn’t feel too uneasy around him.’

Suigintou sat in a somewhat dilapidated church which resided in her personal n-Field. Though she didn’t notice it, the church was a much more beautiful place than the last time she had visited there. The once broken windows were now wonderful and bright panes of stained glass. The formerly nonexistent doors had been replaced with thick wooden masterpieces of carpentry.

She sat on the altar. Once in a while sunlight would break through the clouds (that had replaced the city’s mirror image which had previously floated in the sky) and bring a calm warmth to her body. The fragments of a mirror floated in front of her. Shinku, her Medium, Hina-ichigo, Suiseiseki, Souseiseki, and Suigintou’s own Medium were all depicted in real-time. It was merely one of the many powers of the Rosa Mystica.

“My, my, little Shinku… What has you looking so upset?”

The first Sister laughed just a little. Just seeing Shinku’s feathers ruffled (no pun intended) was occasion to be happy. Next Suigintou’s attention fell on her Medium. She smiled as he walked down the street. His face was cold and uninviting, completely the opposite of when she had been with him. “He certainly is an interesting fellow. It’s no wonder Meimei drew me to him. His power is incredible… Easily a match for Shinku’s Medium.” Her sinister laughter echoed throughout the church’s halls.

As the buzzer rang at the Sakurada household, a completely clueless Nori went to the door to see who it was. “Jun-kun doesn’t usually get packages at this time of day, so I wonder who it could be.”

“Nori, wait!” Jun yelled as he rushed the door. He was in such a rush, in fact, that he didn’t notice one of his mini-cars in his path. Hina-ichigo had left it there earlier after she was finished coloring on it. Jun’s right foot came down directly on top of the mini-car. Even before he could cry out in pain, the muscles in that leg and foot urged him to continue running. He attempted to shift his weight off that foot, but instead ended up falling forward at a rather high rate of speed.

Nori opened the door, revealing Tomoe and a young man, just as Jun planted his face in the doorway.

“Eh?” Tomoe blandly asked as she tried to figure out what had just happened.

“Oh, Jun-kun!” cried his older sister. She reached down to help him up, but he swatted her arms away.

“Knock it off! Geez… Ow…” he groaned.

“Oh my! Tomoe-chan! Please, come in. And, you are?” she asked Tomoe’s companion, finally noticing them.

“I’m Tomoe’s older brother, Tsugumi.” Even though it was him who had just embarrassed himself in front of guests, Jun had to suppress his laughter. Tsugumi was, after all, almost exclusively a girl’s name. “Nice to meet you. Sorry for the intrusion…”

“Don’t worry about it. Please come in,” Jun asked as he stood up, trying to sound friendly. He began making his first impressions of Tomoe’s older brother. He was definitely college-aged and tall. His black hair was trimmed down in a buzz cut. He wore a simple pair of blue jeans and a plain black shirt. His eyes were thin and tired, and there was some kind of roughness about him.

But most of all, Jun focused on Tsugumi’s left hand. Sure enough, there was a ring identical to his own on the older boy’s left ring finger, glowing a soft purple color. ‘That’s a sure sign that he’s made a Contract with a Rozen Maiden… The only real question left is… which one?’

From the other side of the second-story railing which looked out over the entryway and living room, the three dolls peeked over the edge.

“Ah! It’s Tomoe’s aniki!” Hina said in a muted tone.

“He sure is tall ~desu… and kinda scary-looking,” added Suiseiseki. “Shinku, he’s wearing a ring ~desu.”

“You’re right. I guess there is another Medium out there now,” Shinku responded in an equally quiet tone.

“Oh, it’s strange for Mediums to meet, isn’t it?”

“Yes. I don’t recall it ever happening before.”

“T-tomoe…” Hina tried to make a dash and say ‘hello’ to her former Medium, but Suiseiseki and Shinku grabbed onto her. They shooshed her and tried to suppress her struggling. “Why can’t I see Tomoe ~na no?” pouted Hina-ichigo after she decided to give up.

“For this simple reason: we know nothing about two of the three possible dolls with which he had made a Contract. The one we do know of is Suigintou. We have to keep ourselves hidden, or else his doll will know we are all gathered here,” Shinku explained in her usual level-headed way.

“Just shut up and listen ~desu!”

Meanwhile, downstairs in the Sakurada’s living room, Nori brought out tea for the two guests. Shinku’s quick draw of breath alerted Suiseiseki. She nodded stiffly at Tsugumi. “What is it, Shinku?” Tomoe and Tsugumi were ushered to the table by Nori. Jun sat opposite of Tomoe’s older brother.

“Look at him,” she said guardedly, nodding towards the stranger. The two dolls watched as he sat down. He immediately crossed his arms and brought his right foot up to rest on his left knee. He waited patiently, his eyes betraying a frigid intelligence. “The way he moves, how he holds his teacup… Although they are simple behaviors, he behaves just like Suigintou.”

“Really?” asked Suiseiseki, somewhat shocked that Shinku would be able to distinguish such things. “Maybe it’s just a concidence ~desu.” Shinku shook her head. In her normally calm blue eyes was a sense of anxiety.

“So, Tomoe-chan, what brings you here today?” Nori asked in her normal, happy way.

“To be quite frank,” Tsugumi spoke, setting down his teacup, “I think Jun and I have something in common.” Jun blinked in confusion.

‘Does he already know? I made sure to keep my left hand hidden… If he heard those loud dolls, I’ll…’ Jun pondered.

“Thinking back, Tomo-nee also shared this trait with us, but for some reason does not anymore.” Now Jun knew that this strange guy had deduced that he was also a Medium. Tsugumi’s eyes focused on Jun. The similarity between his placid yet fierce gaze and the gaze of Suigintou was obvious, even to Jun. A chill crawled up Jun’s back as the older boy continued to talk. “Back then I thought she had a secret boyfriend, but now I realize that it was a different kind of relationship. Sakurada-san-“

“Call me Jun,” he instructed, trying to put on a poker face.

“Jun-kun… Where is your Rozen Maiden?” Everyone in the Sakurada household shared a moment of sudden astonishment. “The moment the door opened and you fell, your ring was exposed. You’ve hidden it since then. It was obvious if one was only a little observant.”

“Wow… Tomoe’s aniki sounds like Kun-kun!” Hina-ichigo exclaimed. Her companions quickly covered her mouth, but the damage had been done. Tsugumi pretended not to notice, even though Jun’s poker face was broken for just a split-second.

“In any case,” Tsugumi continued, “I’m sure you realize that there are seven Rozen Maiden. I can safely assume that the doll which was previously entrusted to my younger sister is a different doll from yours Jun, and that my doll is another. That accounts for three of seven.”

“I guess I don’t understand what you’re saying,” Jun reluctantly admitted, letting his left hand be seen. Tsugumi noted that his ring was faintly glowing red. “We’re both Mediums. It would be easier for us both if we could pool our information. If we could work together…” His voice trailed off as Tsugumi raised a hand.

“I’m talking about the Alice Game. Surely you know what it is?” His voice was so cold, so full of masked disdain… Jun’s brow furrowed. Tsugumi’s face brightened just a bit. “Don’t be nervous. It can’t be started until all seven dolls are awake, right? There’s no guarantee that it will happen in our lifetimes. I just wanted you to know that you aren’t dealing with some fool. Our dolls draw upon our life force in order to fight. I don’t intend to lose. I’m most intrigued by this girl… ‘Alice,’ and I wish to meet the man they call Father. I just wanted to declare my intentions. Hopefully, you don’t feel any malice towards me for any of our future actions.”

In her n-Field, Suigintou laughed with surprise. She watched as her Medium had made his intentions crystal clear to Shinku’s dim-witted Medium. He then left alone, looking rather satisfied with himself. “What a strange human,” she mused. The look on Shinku’s face when Tsugumi spoke about the Alice Game was absolutely priceless.

Behind her, at the entrance to the church, a slit in the n-Field suddenly tore open. A tall, thin human body dressed in a tuxedo stepped through. Rather than a human head, though, the apparition had the head of a rabbit. The slit sealed itself up after he had stepped fully through. He took a single step forward. The resonance of his hard heel hitting the wood floor was enough to alert Suigintou. She quickly jumped down from the altar, spinning around in mid-air to face the noise.

“Who’s there?” she asked. The apparition was hidden in the shadows, watching her face grow angry. “Show yourself!” Light suddenly shown on the source of the noise, revealing someone Suigintou hadn’t seen in a long, long time. “Laplace’s Demon? What are you doing here?!” The rabbit bowed to her.

“It isn’t possible for two sides of the same coin to be shown at once. Medium… Such an interesting toy. Perhaps you shouldn’t react so violently to him. Where you once would slit a throat, now a wall of feathers will appeal.”

“What?!” She readied her wings to attack, but he disappeared back into the darkness. “Just what is he trying to tell me?” The very nature of Laplace’s Demon was an all-knowing being. He knew every outcome to every situation before it even happened. “If that bunny tries to manipulate me… He’ll be sadly mistaken!”

In one of the shards of mirror that Suigintou used to monitor the real world, a doll dressed totally in white appeared for just a split-second. If Suigintou had noticed it, maybe even she would have felt scared by the maniacal grin that white doll wore.

Even though Detective Kun-kun was playing on the TV, none of the Sakurada household’s occupants were watching. Nori prepared dinner in a failing attempt to ease her mind. Jun and the dolls were up in his room. Everyone had been eerily silent since that time. Tomoe had profusely apologized for her brother’s rude words and left soon afterwards. As usual, Suiseiseki was the first to break the long quiet.

“Argh! I can’t stand it anymore ~desu!” she yelled as she threw her hands up in the air. “That guy is Suigintou’s Medium, isn’t he? That means… she’ll be even more powerful than before! Isn’t that a really big problem for us ~desu? What should we do? Shinku?!” Rather than immediately presenting a solution as Suiseiseki expected, Shinku didn’t say a word. She remained still on Jun’s bed, her eyes closed and arms crossed.

“Shin~ku~!” exclaimed Hina-ichigo. “Suiseiseki and Hina are worried ~na no! If Suigintou had a Medium, does that mean she will… Uhm, well…” The doll trailed off, unsure of how to express what she was feeling. Shinku released a small sigh and opened her eyes.

“Everyone. We must be constantly on guard from now on. We don’t know when Suigintou will choose to take advantage of this situation. Our only hope may be that Medium, in fact.”

“Eh? But isn’t he the source of the problem?” Jun asked.

“Of course. He will be providing Suigintou with the same kind of power than I receive from you, Jun. However, the way he spoke… He seems to be set on meeting Father, and he doesn’t wish for the Alice Game to be started until all of the Rozen Maiden are awakened. That fact may be our only hope for a peaceful time in the coming days,” she explained.

“Do you think he’ll be able to dissuade Suigintou from pulling more dirty tricks?” Suiseiseki asked warily. “She’ll just end up taking all his life force and fighting all of us…”

“Yea, what if she doesn’t listen to him? I really don’t see her as a doll that would stop just because her Medium said to,” Jun added. “Although, I got the same kind of weird vibe from that guy as from Suigintou. Maybe he really can convince her to hold off her attack.”

“Jeez, with that scary guy being Suigintou’s Medium…” Suiseiseki shuddered at the very thought. She suddenly remembered something… ‘Ah, Souseiseki… Why are you puttering around with that old man at a time like this?’ Shinku noticed the pensive look on Suiseiseki’s face.

“Suiseiseki… Are you worried about Souseiseki? Where is she?” she asked, but her sister didn’t respond.

“Huh? Souseiseki…?” Jun asked slowly. Shinku nodded.

“Suiseiseki’s twin younger sister, Souseiseki. Usually those two are inseparable, however…” She stopped as everyone noticed the tears welling up in Suiseiseki’s mismatched eyes. “If that man fails to dissuade Suigintou, Souseiseki may be her first target. You should contact her immediately. If necessary, I will accompany you-”

“No!” The sudden outburst surprised Jun. He’d never seen this side of the doll. “I’ll take care of Souseiseki.”

The moon was high in the night sky before Suigintou appeared on Tsugumi’s windowsill. He’d intentionally left it open when she wasn’t home when he arrived. As she expected he was sitting at his computer desk, reading. “Oh? You’re still awake?” she asked, looking out at the sky. Chopin’s ‘Nocturne in G minor’ played in the background.

“Right. For some reason I couldn’t sleep. I found out a few things today…”

“Such as?” she probed, already knowing his answer.

“I found two other Mediums.” The doll suddenly turned her head and met his gaze. Two? “You probably knew about Sakurada Jun, but I also remembered a strange rose ring I saw an old man wearing once when my grandmother’s alarm clock broke.”

“You said… You’re grandparents were dead though, right?” she asked, obviously surprised. He nodded.

“Five years ago. I have a pretty good memory, huh?” he said with a small smile. “I went back there today and confirmed it. He’s still wearing that same ring. That means I’ve confirmed three of the other dolls. I also came to the conclusion that you may need a few things…” He stood and went to the far wall of his room and pulled a sheet off what turned out to be a large antique mirror. He continued smiling as he saw Suigintou’s eyes light up. She finally entered the room and floated over to the mirror. The doll placed her small hands on its metal frame, slowly running her hands over its cool exterior. The silver roses and thorns made the mirror seem to appear from a metallic rose garden.

“It’s… This will work nicely. Why did you do this? How could you know...?” She hadn’t mentioned anything about n-Fields yet, so why had he gone out on his own and purchased such an item?

“I did a study on alchemy as my senior project in high school. When applying the idea to creating living dolls, with their ultimate purpose to fight and one day become Alice… It dawned on me that all this fighting could never be done in a human world. ‘Therefore, there must be some kind of portal’ I said to myself. I’ve always felt an affinity for antique mirrors for some reason, so I assumed this would work.” Her mouth parted to continue questioning him, but she decided against it.

“Well, in that case… I know the three dolls which are residing at the Sakurada household. Suigintou, Hina-ichigo, and… Shinku,” she explained, her eyes narrowing. “The one which stays with the old man is probably Souseiseki. That only leaves two others.”

“Then the Alice Game can really begin, right?” Suigintou nodded, a sadistic grin appearing on her face. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her Medium’s reflection behind hers… “That’s a little boring. What are you going to do until then?”

“Hahaha… I have a few things ideas.” The mirror slowly turned black, ripples seeming to appear in the glass. An image suddenly became clear; a boyish-looking doll was kneeling next to an old woman who appeared to be asleep. “Souseiseki… Maybe we can have some fun,” she stated happily. She turned to her Medium, who was wearing the same vicious smile as her.

“What did you have in mind?”

In a ward of a local hospital, a permanent patient slept. Her long black hair flowed unhampered over her pillow. The nurse who was taking her recordings of the patient’s life signs sighed. This girl… She was an impossible case. Her life would, definitely, be cut short. However, until then, she was kept alive by machine, according to her parents’ wishes. What a sad existence it must be…

If Only It Was A Dream


"JUN-KUN!" screamed a terrified high pitched voice.

"Wha...?" Jun mumbled as he awoke with a start in the pitch black of his bedroom.

"Something terrible has happened!" said the frightened voice.

Jun stumbled around on his bed trying to find the switch to his wall lamp, but when he reached to where he intuitively knew the lamp's switch would be at, the lamp wasn't even there.

'Damn,' thought Jun. 'Where the hell is it?'

He then glanced at his alarm clock sitting on his nightstand a few feet away and saw it was 4 a.m.

He had always needed to wear his glasses to read the clock despite its proximity to his bed, yet he wasn't wearing his glasses. Jun then realized something felt wrong about his body. He noticed that he wasn't wearing his pajamas but rather something that felt very similar to a thick cloth. He also felt that his bed sheets and pillow were much larger than usual.

"What the hell is happening?" Jun said under his breath. "And why does my voice sound so high?"

"Jun-kun..." repeated the frightened voice.

The light on Jun's desk turned on revealing a shivering Hinaichigo standing on Jun's desk chair. When she turned her head and looked at him, her eyes increased in size so much that they appeared that they were about to burst.

"Jun-kun," replied a tearful Hinaichigo. "You won't believe what happened."

Hinaichigo climb down off the chair and stumbled to the side of Jun's bed, and he noticed that she was gripping a small mirror in her petite hands. She held the mirror out to him, and it was then when he went to grab the mirror, he noticed that his hand appeared tiny.

"Look in the mirror," said Hinaichigo.

Jun lifted the mirror up to his face and was shocked to see Suiseiseki's shocked face staring back at him.

"How can this be?" whispered Jun, as he continued staring at the reflection of Suiseiseki staring back at him in the mirror.

"I don't know, Jun-kun," replied Hinaichigo.

"And why do you keep calling me Jun-kun, Hinaichigo?" asked Jun.

As he asked that question, he lowered the mirror onto his lap and noticed that he certainly wasn't wearing his pajamas but rather he was wearing Suiseiseki's green dress. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"But I've always called you Jun-kun," cried Hinaichigo. "You are my brother."

Jun looked at Hinaichigo suspiciously and asked, "Nori?"

Hinaichigo nodded her little head while her tears flowed down her cheeks.

Hinaichigo whiped her nose and said," I don't know how this happened, but we've become the dolls."

"Kun Kun?" repeated Jun looking at Suiseiseki.

"It sounds like Kun Kun ~desu," said Suiseiseki pointing toward the bookself.

Sure enough as soon as they looked at the Detective Kun Kun doll sitting on the bookself, they realized that Shinku was now in Kun Kun's body.

Kun Kun shook his head in disgust and said, "About time servant."

@SSJiffy: You'd be lucky to find places with pre-orders still available. If the sites mentioned don't work for you, there are a couple on eBay at any given time.

@Deathkillz: Dude, it's not hard to write fiction. Give it a try! Just watch some RM, listen to an OST or something, form an idea, and write it down!

“I am Barasuishou, the Seventh doll of the Rozen Maidens.”

Yuji blinked, “I’m sorry, what did you say?”

Barasuishou replied in a matter-of-fact tone. “I am Barasuishou, the seventh Rozen Maiden doll, what’s your name human?” The boy looked as confused as ever. “My name is Yuji, Soriel Yuji. How did you get here and what did you do to my room?!”

The lavender doll was momentarily stunned by the loud voice. She sighed and replied. “I got here because someone had agreed to Krystal, (she pointed to her artificial spirit) to take me. And for you room, I thought it looked better if I added in some spires, don’t you think?”

Yuji had to admit, the crystals looked beautiful but it didn’t fit in his room and they were everywhere. “Fine, keep your crystals but don’t make them any bigger than they already are.” The doll walked closer to Yuji, “I need your help. Please swear allegiance to me by kissing my rose ring.”

The boy had no idea on what to do. “Why would I do a thing like that?” Barasuishou looked a bit sad and replied back, “Fine, do whatever you want.” The doll walked away and went to the window.

She went inside the window, without thinking, Yuji went and followed her because he might have hurt the doll’s feelings. He thought to himself, I’m sorry.

They arrived in a place where it is full of white roses and plants. A voice rang out. “Who are you?” Barasuishou replied, “Who are you?”

“I am Kirakishou, a Rozen Maiden doll. Why are you intruding in my place?” Barasuishou didn’t respond at all.

At once, vines sprouted and attempted to grab Barasuishou. She retaliated by creating crystal spires to intercept the vines. But unknowingly, a vine had wrapped around Yuji and was squeezing very tightly. “AAH!” Barasuishou was also beginning to lose and vines pushed her close to Yuji.

The teen looked at the lavender doll. “I’m sorry for earlier. Sorry for making you feel bad. So now, I agree to swear allegiance to you.” Barasuishou smiled and nodded at Yuji. She reached towards Yuji and a rose ring appeared on one of her fingers.

Kirakishou saw this and tried to tear them apart from forming a contract. The vines increased its hold but Yuji managed to kiss the ring. Barasuishou glowed purple, she shed a single tear of happiness. “Thanks Yuji.” The doll summoned more crystal spires and freed the entangled boy and aggressively attacked the other white doll. The doll had no choice but to retreat.

Barasuishou and Yuji fended off Kirakishou and returned back to Yuji’s bedroom. Yuji poured tea for Barasuishou. The two smiled at each other as they drank their tea.

Suiseiseki's Revenge

Many years ago I courted chibi ningen, but he was courting baka Shinku ~desu. I asked him several times to marry me instead, but he refused my pure love ~desu. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore, and I swore I'll have revenge on him ~desu. One night while he slept in his bed, I opened the window. I then picked him up, pulled him through the window, and carried him high into the air. I wanted to drop him into the lake from a great height, but I came up with a better idea ~desu. I instead sat him, completely nude, on top of the tallest tree that I could find. Chibi ningen was found near death the next day ~desu.

If you cherish your life never refuse my love ~desu! Fufufufufufu!!
Dang! For a moment, reading that, I tot that Suiseiseki herself sat Naked on Jun and left him half-dead with bloodloss. Love the "deviations" Sui, especially liked the Little Pink Riding Hood. :D

Wow Nice. Obviously the artist watches NANA (see Gin), and the style of clothing looks alot like Gankutsuou's texturing; for that matter, Shinku's, Sou's, and Kana's looks very NANA-ish too.

About the joints, of course they would look better as humans, but I guess we have to accept the fact that they are dolls after all. Personal prefs I guess.
