Hey, would anyone like to make some requests for my fanfic? (I'm gonna put it on Fanficiton.Net eventually, I've finished three chapters already. They're not long.) It's supposed to be a collection of unrelated, cute/sometimes weird/insane, random parodies of the whole RM gang! I also did a parody fanfic for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. People loved it, and it surprised me. So I said, how about I try Rozen Maiden? ^_^

Any ideas or concepts you'd like I'd glady consider. I'm really just writing this for humorous pleasures, of course. XD

3. Shinku x Jun set to Rumbling Hearts. What can I say? Shinku sama and Jun make such a nice couple (master and slave...) This is one of the first ones I saw so it made a huge impression on me.

However, for emotional value, and the one that made me smile inwardly, I'm really really torned between your first 2, grey. Hina or Sui... I think'll I'll go with Hina, because I really couldn't understand the lyrics (?) of the Sui version. That Hina AMV was just awesome, plus with all the cutesy yet emo Hina scenes.. :D

About the page loading problems, I'm not too sure what can be wrong. I have had reports of some people behind proxy having problems, others have reported to solve the problem by resetting their modem. Maybe you are just unlucky you ISP's IP range has been banned. You can try Kinny Riddle's instructions (First post of the Saimoe thread) in the upcomming matches if you'd like, perhaps you'll just be lucky and it works(I have also heard people who couldn't make it work one day, but some other random day it worked for them).
For some reason it's always worked for me. ^^;;

Couldn't be. The Suigintou character drama CD mentioned she never had a medium and Megu's her first medium. If that's for real, then it can't be breaking free from her medium.

The character drama takes place during season 2. It's a fact that Suigintou forgot certain elements of her life after she was defeated by Shinku. Her memories were only regained after something triggered her to remember. Thus, it makes sense that she would not remember her previous Medium/s, especially if it had been several decades.

On the same note, the status of Suigintou's "sleep" is relatively unknown in seasons 1 and 2. The manga shows that Megu was her Medium from the beginning of the story. However it also shows that Gin kept her box in an abandoned church until it was torn down. So inline with the story that is one way they can be revived.

Rozen himself can revive and even Enju has hinted that he is capable of repairing physical damage....

Also remember we are dealing with Rozen Maidens, not some hacked up version of a classic story, or some (emo) teenage girls who happen to have some link with a creature. These maidens are works of art who have transcended all expectations and have captured our hearts :D

@Suiseiseki - Even through Bara is not a RM, I personally think that a OAV dedicated to her would be most amusing (based on what I heard on the CD drama). I guess Enju maidens or Jun kun maidens are like when Sakura went from Clow cards to Star cards, different creators still as enjoyable to watch :)

Really, I can't imagine an OVA for Bara, seeing that she doesn't live as long nor have as much experience with each other and the dealings with the world as the legit Rozen Maiden.

How? Why? My though about Rozen and his view of Alice was not the perfect girl he wants to spend he life with but the way that each of his dolls will take their path and improve themselves... That's why he said to Shinku that "Alice Game is not the only way to become Alice". That's why he did not wake up Kirakishou until the last ep of Traumed when Gin, Sui, Kana and Shinku found their path without any will to fight.

So no need for an other season with Kira as an other villain.

Sou was the only one who fought on her own, Hina was provoked by Shinku because Shinku wanted to save Tomoe from being killed by Hina's power. This is their punishment.
Gin ? Rozen was the only responsible of Gin's anger and he saw that she can be gentle heart and that her love for him was the purest among the dolls. So he wanted to repair his mistakes.

I think an OVA about Bara could be interesting, if done well. There is a lot about her that we don't really know or understand. Even if it was something silly like the "Barasuishou Makeover Project" it would still be worth my time.

Whoever said something about RM being $80 per episode, they are actually around $40 per DVDs which contain two episodes. Nonetheless, that's still expensive.

Rozen is still a mystery. His goal is obviously Alice, but some fans (myself included) think he has finally began to soften up by the end of S2. Example: when he fixed Gin at the beginning of S2, her imperfection was left. However, after the false Alice Game, he gave her a torso (or at least its implied that he did). I think he may bring Hina and Sou back. Remember that in the manga Hina was killed so Kirakishou would have a physical body, not because she broke her father's rules. Sou-chan also died for her master rather than her father, so bringing her back (even if it meant she would be defeated in the Alice Game) makes sense.

Hina may just be switched with Kira and live on in n-Fields and dreams.

Enju would be interesting indeed; but for me, it would not relate much to Rozen Maiden. It sounds alot like a history of Enju; and no point in giving us his history if he isn't going to occur in the present/future again. Same with Bara. Assuming their chapter is a permanently closed one (which it should be imo), both arent... sustainable characters? :heh:

It's never explained in the anime why they weren't brought back to life. We can only assume that the reason Sou and Hina aren't alive is the fact they both fought a legitimate Alice Game against real Rozen Maidens.

Enju would be interesting indeed; but for me, it would not relate much to Rozen Maiden. It sounds alot like a history of Enju; and no point in giving us his history if he isn't going to occur in the present/future again. Same with Bara. All the main characters I have found memorable and interesting (and would like to know more about them). I even still chuckle at the thought of poor Nori's suitor. Even through RM is only 12 epis per season, it just feels so much bigger, because of the thought and quality squeezed into it. If anyone wishes to argue against this point as my fan-ism then I would like to counter it with the huge following and the countless discussions we have had on this forum.

Came across Hikari no Rasenritsu in my playlist. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Kept imagining a depressed Suiseiseki all the way thru, for some reason.

RM-FAN; it isn't impossible for those "discrepancies" to exist with each other. Rozen can decide not to let Sou and Hina come back, and can at the same time decide not to let his daughters fight more.

Realistically There isnt anything in the Anime to solidly indicate that he wants to bring both of them back but can't. As Suiseiseki said earlier, its not revealed; all these are really assumptions made, in my case, by a fanboy who wants them to come back. :)

As I remember posting some time ago, the above possibility that Rozen does not want to bring both back scares me, because that means Rozen is a warped heartless by-the-book person.

Side-trak: But even then, RM-FAN, Rozen saying that there is another way doesnt mean they won't fight more. Gin, and Kira. Remember their names..

I have absolutely no idea why, and it may slightly be off-topic, but the song "Higeki no MARIONETTO" (which translates to "Tragic Marionette" or "Marionette's Tragedy") from the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness reminds me of either Suiseiseki (because one part of the song goes "endingu desu~" XD), Hina, Souseiseki, or Gin.

In the white space of emptiness Megu stood alone on the yellow brick road. With the vast empty surrounding seems to stretch to infinity and the path was nicely laid for her, it’s the most obvious decision was to follow the yellow brick road.

Time passed and the road seems like it was going on forever, Megu wasn’t sure if she walked for how many hours but she knew she walk for a very long time. Yet she never had any signs of exhaustion, even a short 5 minute walk to the abandon church gave her lots of problems due to her heart condition.

Megu kept walking until there was no road for her to walk; from a distance she saw something, with sliver hair, black wings, and black gothic clothes. Its back was facimg Megu knew very well

Megu: “Suigintou!”

The doll turned her head around with her back still facing Megu, Suigintou gave her a solemn smile. Her eyes revealed sadness as Megu stared at Suigintou’s eyes.

Suigintou: *Turns head away from Megu* “Goodbye…” *Walks away*

The words strike horror in the Medium’s heart, ‘goodbye’? Is Suigintou leaving her? Why?

Megu: “Suigintou wait!” *Runs towards Suigintou*

Megu ran as fast as she can, not knowing that she could run that fast. Ironically the doll’s walking speed was like 5 times fasting that Megu’s running. Megu is beginning to lose her companion.

Megu: *Still running* “Suigintou, don’t go! Don’t leave me!”

Megu quickly picked up her pace, determined to catch up with the doll.

Megu: *Getting closer to Suigintou* “We’ve made a promise! We promised that we will sore to the skies together! Please, don’t go!”

Megu reach out her right arm towards Suigintou, just a little bit more the girl thought. Then something stop her, vines appeared out of nowhere, entangled the helpless girl. Once again Megu is losing the doll again and there’s nothing she could do about it.

Megu: “Suigintou! Don’t go! SUIGINTOU!”

Yeah, Souseiseki is the more serious of the all dolls but in the same time is the more boring and is the more "misterious" because she is died and we never know more about of her.

Going to make this concise.

The Rozen Maiden feature started with Tanaka Rie sitting in front of a table, and pretending to be a radio show host for a make-believe program called Rozen Maiden Konya mo Ennui, answering questions in her Suigintou voice, which itself was pretty funny.

Following this was the introduction of the opening song and its anime sequence for the Rozen Maiden special episode.

The title is: Rozen Maiden Ouberture

Note there is an umlaut for the second u.

First of all, the opening song is by, yes, ALI PROJECT. The song starts off slow, and picks up as it progresses, into the intricate yet smooth type of music they are known for.

As for the trailer, the artwork is simply beautiful. Much more detailed than either series in my opinion.

But the most important thing is, this episode is centered on Suigintou, as she comprises the majority of the characters from the opening scenes.

Coupled with the appearance of Tanaka Rie and the title of the episode, Suigintou fans will have something to look for.

Agree, I did just like you, watched Rozen Maiden season one and two just on some few days.
And yes, I have the feeling something is missing, that we haven't seen the end. Im hoping for some OVAs or a season three.
And as I have understand Rozen Maiden is verry popular. I think alot of ppl's would be happy for another season.

I loved the series, but I feel something was missing, when someone "die" I did not become sad, I do not know why, I allways become sad when I watch this types of anime(still loved it). and sometimes it was alittle noise.

The same thing happened to me; I thought the story was great at first and came here (with Suiseiseki being my favorite character). Over time my memories of the series became a bit muddled but I still enjoyed it a lot.

I re-watched, and the level of emotional connection was much greater. I also evolved into a Suigintou worshipper...

Currently this is all the information we have on ~Ouverture~, but still it is more then enough to lead us to towards the conclusion that this OVA will definitly be a Prelude to Rozen Maiden ~Season 1~

And it will not focus on Gil alone either.., its contents will show us the reason as to how and why Gin "drifted" apart from the other Rozen Maiden.., and to why the hatred she feels towards Shinku as we came to see in ~Season 1~

But most importantly.., and I hope I am right on this.., it will give us some in-sight on some un-answered aspects related towards Rozen and to the "Rozen Maiden" in general.

If you read the translation from that Megami magazine page I'm pretty positive you will have enough information to sort of know what to expect in the begining of what consists ~Ouverture~

~Ouverture~ however its NOT a 3rd Season.., but it is an OVA in the end.

I belive they chose to place this as an OVA partialy because of its content.., since we are going back in the timeline of the story to unveil certain un-answered aspects..., it realy wouldn't make any sence IT beeing a 3rd Season.

The End of ~Traumend~ was inconclusive yes.., so there is definitly reason to wait for a 3rd Season.., ~Ouverture~ just is coming first to give us a better in-sight of the "entire" story..;
- Think of it as just another piece of the puzzle you need to add before you start finishing the final parts.


Once ~Ouverture~ ends.., possibly.., and after waiting 1 more year we then might be presented with the Conclusion of the Story in its 3rd Season.., taking back from where ~Traumend~ left off :)

That last doujin... Was good stuff. XDDDDD

A looooooong time ago when Rozen Maiden was first going into production, I read about it in Newtype magazine. And at that time, I was like, "This anime sounds stupid".

Later on, on advancedanime.com and other sites of the such, I started seeing lots of pics of Suigintou. I had no idea who she was or what she was from at the time, but I simply fell in love with her, making me a little interested.

Then, even LATER on, I started to get interested in gothic lolita fashion. While on wikipedia, I saw a link to Rozen Maiden and clicked on it. After reading the whole page, I became even MORE interested. And the whole time, I had music from the anime but didn't even notice where it was from or how good it actually was.

So I hopped onto youtube and watched every single episode from both seasons straight for two-three days... And my heart was stricken forever. I love ALL of the dolls with a passion now, and am an utter otaku of Rozen Maiden... forever.

Welp, that's my story of how RM cast its dazzling spell upon me. :D
