As a hobby I enjoy checking out new anime that I believe will be entertaining and interesting to me. Unforunately, there are times I can't make up my mind on which anime to watch next. Like I said, I don't mind watching new anime, but I'd rather not find out I wasted my money on renting/buying an anime I ended up hating (i.e., Samurai Gun). So if you guys could give me some suggestions on new anime to watch I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

Hmm, guess I'll just give you a list of the anime I'm currently watching now...

Gantz
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Blood+
Hell Girl
Samurai 7

And for more references here's a list of my favorite anime...

Akira
Full Metal Alchemist
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Naruto
Hellsing

Thanks in advance!

Out of the 236 anime I've rated on AniDB, these are the only ones I gave 10/10

Haibane Renmei
Full Moon wo Sagashite
Trigun
Hellsing
Honey & Clover

I see that you've already seen Hellsing. I based my ratings on a mix of how "good" the show was, and just how much I liked it.

I am gonna go out on a limb and suggest Scryed. Not the dub though. Its horrible.

In confindence though I will suggest Cowboy Bebop, and Outlaw Star.

These might be Adult Swim materials. The subs are much better. Might also wanna look up Eyeshield 21, if you wanna be sucked into loving football, and jumping around yelling like a giddy 8 yr old at Deimon scoring :P

Yuiichi: I've seen and liked FMP! and Samurai Champloo. Surprisingly, Bleach didn't interest me that much. Interlude sounds interesting, though.

jedinat: A friend of mine really loves Sagashite and I've been meaning to check it out. And from what I've heard about Honey & Clover is it's really funny and good.

akai: I love Bebop, and the next chance I get to buy the perfect DVD collection of Outlaw Star I'm taking it. I was kinda iffy with s-CRY-ed when I first saw it, but maybe I'll give it another shot.

Scryed has a nice story. It takes a while for it to develop though. I enjoyed the ending more so than I thought I would, from the way the next to last episode forshadowed it.
