Cuteness Rating

Ok, so I thought this through for quite a while after talking about it in the favourite girl thread. I have some suspicion about the poll itself in that thread, so I'm not creating a poll for this one.

Rules are simple:
1) We're not canvassing for others to support the girl each of us loves, so try not to say things like, 'Asa is better than Kaede', that sort of thing.
2) Put down the girls' name and your own personal rating of how cute they are, on a scale of 1 to 10. No decimals by the way.
Think seriously about this, I don't think Nerine is cuter than Primula, although I prefer Nerine. The list includes the 5 girls, Mayumi, Kareha, and Riker's favourite MILF, Ama. Nadesico doesn't really count as cute, she's more of a mature beauty, so I'm not including her.
Example:
Nerine - 8
Lisianthus - 9
Primula - 10.
3) Give some reasons, not too insane, try for something serious. You can say you're biased against Asa as a reason for giving her a low score. You don't have to put as much as me.
4) Have fun. Don't criticise other people's choices, this is a personal rating, I don't want to see anything that resembles bringing in things from other anime. e.g. Call Hollows to eat Asa.

I rate this people high because of long hair, and other stuff, of course.
Primula: Look in the wagging tail thread. That is enough reason.
Sia: She's just got that face, Kikyou adds that special character that I think Sia herself doesn't have.
Nerine: She's nice, there are a lot of things that make her cute.
Kareha: That "my my my" annoys me slightly, but I think her long hair's nice.

Ama: Neko hat. Nice voice.
Asa & Kaede: Asa has more character than Kaede, but I don't like it that much, and psycho Kaede scared me too much.

The idea is nice (although you shouldn't question the other poll just because we're in the lead for a change :P)

There is JUST ONE FLAW.

You have to specify the number of girls, and then have as vote for each girl
For instance, let's say they are five girls, A-E

My vote would be like (5 being the highest grade - more points, and 1 being the lowest, and using every number per vote, once - no two 5s or 3 1s, etc)

B - 5
E - 4
D - 3
C -2
A - 1

That way, you have standard numbers, not the whole 1-10 scale, and it's much easier to count, and more objectional - meaning I could vote 10 for primula and 1 for everyone else just to give her more votes, but with the above system, I can't resort to that kind of abuse. How's that?

EDIT: And I also said that you could give Asa or Kaede a low score if you were biased against them. That sort of post wouldn't really be useful if I wanted a proper rating of their cuteness factor

Oh, on a sidenote, I would also like to ask if you'd mind a thread to measure the sexiness of the female character's voices. Asa does have a sexy voice, no matter how you put it, and Ama... my my my! Whereas Sia and Nerine totally blow as far as it concerns their voices.

Sia's cute.. but her voice are annoying at least to me.. and Kikyou kills the overall cuteness (for me) when counted her personality as well. Kaede is an average.. yup, but still she woo me over despite having a low score in terms of cuteness ... Not surprising for me, mind you, since cuteness factor dont usually guides me in choosing an anime dreamgirl for a particular series :heh: .. Kareha is simply to beautiful .. shes a default goddess to me ... Nerine is NOT cute when it came to face value .. she's damn sexy :naughty: .. I think she and Kaede alternate spots for my wallie :D .. Asa, well, I cant really say... she's cute in a way .. but like Luna, she just dont have it in for me.

So there you have it .. my personal preferences .. :D Would be to hard for me to throw a value for them :( .. Gomenneh.

As you can see, they all rate high on the cuteness scale. Really it shouldn't be surprising, considering the nature of the series. These characters were designed to be cute after all.

Well, my top 3 would be:

1. Asa - 10 - primarily the reason why she's my favorite is because I find her personality so cute. From her "girlish attack" in episode 1, to the under-the-table-skirt-peek, to the Girlish Attack MkII "Dokidoki suru?" in episode 7, to her cute attempted cookie-delivery-trick in episode 18, to the ending scenes of episode 21...I just find her really cute and adorable, and that's why she's my favorite girl :)

2. Sia - 9 - I'm not sure how I find a girl who delivers chair shots that would make "Macho Man" Randy Savage jealous to be cute...but I do. Her voice when she goes into her pouty mood is too cute, and I still love the part in episode 2 when the dads are apprising Rin of their daughters' ....."assets"...and Sia shows up to clobber her dad and ask what the heck he's talking about, looking more than a little flustered about it. And even though Kikyou didn't really register as cute to me, the skirt part in episode 17 was really funny.

3. Primula - 9 - normally, I don't like the little girls, and although Primula is probably my least favorite overall, it's not because she lacks for cuteness. :p (more it's because I'm old enough to be her dad) The thing I remember most about her is the blank expressions she has 90% of the time, because it makes it even cuter when she DOESN'T have one, like in episode 11 when she's in the background looking at Mayumi with the "what the...?" expression.

so, those would be my top 3...the other girls I really don't have any specific opinions of, so they'd all be 8's or so I would guess. Nobody stands out as "uncute" to me... :heh:

Kaede – 10 full score, in Shuffle she is the cutest one (I liked how she looked in 22 episode, she reminded me a bit of Arcueid). She has the best look, she’s immature yet most womanly in Shuffle, I’m not sure how to put it, in a way she is the weakest character there and at the same time the strongest one (well, as we will see, second to Asa-chan, bleh), I’m not good at putting what I feel, so I’ll say only that she is the one who moved me most in this anime.

Asa – 9 second place, in fact “tomboyish” characters are my favourite and Asa was my no 1 for almost whole series, cute voice and good look, second only to Kaede.

Kareha – 8 third place, her “my, my, my…” and her way of behavior makes her very nice and cute, I like also long haired blondes. It’s sad that she is only supporting character with very little role.

Mayumi – 8 flat chested cutie, she’s just very nice, Union of Compact Breast was :) .It’s a waste that she has even less to say than Kareha.

Primula - 7 I like this kind of character, she reminds me of Ruri from Nadesico, cuuute.

Kaede- 9.5 The anime dosn't do her justice, just look at some of the cg artwork , like where she wants Rin to touch her head... can't be beaten. -0.5 in terms of cuteness due to the scare factor.

Sia-9 Very cute and continually happy with a lovely personality, cuteness tainted by Kikyou.

Primula-8.5 Primula is cute, especially with the cat plushie. Would be cuter with more expression. There are some pics though where she smiles then thats gotta be pushing 10.

Nerine-8 I dont find her that cute, but at the begining of the anime when she introduce herself to the class, well, that gets her an 8

Asa-7.5 Im not allowed to be too positive here but this is not particularly influenced by my KKK membership, so, Asa has her cute factors, her personality on the whole is generaly lively and kind, however I dont find her as cute as some of the rest.

Kaede - Is x as x approaches infinity. Why? because infinity is undefined as a number but as x approaches inifinity accurately describes just how cute she is to me. Every moment that passes. Every glimpse I catch of this goddess brings me to a new level of cuteness and appreciation that surpasses the last. And just when you think you've come to a place where you can no longer go further she surprises you again redefining what is the cutest. 0-10 is confining. You cannot confine a goddess in such narrow definitions of cutiness.

Primula - Being mere moral she is a 10 because she is the human definition of cutiness. She has reached the limit to which finite beings are restricted to.

After these to none other are worth mentioning. I cannot rate them because they do not even register when compared to the 2 above.
