While none of the School Rumble anime series have been licensed yet, they are produced by MFI, therefore we won't be listing fansubs here on AnimeSuki. See Removal of Media Factory Inc. Works (http://www.animesuki.com/doc.php/legal/mediafactory.html) for details.
Since it is "restricted", the following posts are no longer allowed in this forum.
Asking where you can find School Rumble downloads or torrents.
Discussing School Rumble fansub groups (past or present).
Asking for help downloading School Rumble.
Asking for playback help for School Rumble episodes.
These rules applies to fansubs (in English or any other language) and raws alike.
This restriction applies to
School Rumble (first series)
School Rumble OVA
School Rumble (second series)
You still are allowed to discuss the anime, that has not changed but please remember to limit the discussion to the story.

SPOILERS
edit: in retrospect..not really..anyone with 2 braincells to rub together could've predicted this without watching the ova
it looks like it's set after season 1 rather than being a prequel
also, it looks like they're moving towards harima and yakumo being a potential couple (originally, yakumo couldn't read harima's thoughts because he wasn't attracted to her..in one scene where he spontaneously falls for her while she's helping him with his manga, she suddenly is able to read his thoughts and new-found feelings for her and it looks a HELLUVA lot like she's falling for him too..(they already did the same thing with harima and eri in season 1) so school rumble is looking more and more like it's becoming one of those typical animes with 1 lame guy and multiple girls that are crazy about him
in conclusion..nothing really changes or conclusively happens between any of the characters..
edit: shallow plastic japanese entertainment ftw! (for the win)
edit2: i don't understand why a mod had to input that list of restrictions when none of those violations were taking place in this thread..yeah

There are 3 lame guys: Harima, Hanai, and Imadori, so not many girls will go for Harima. Besides, no girl in School Rumble is crazy about Harima yet; they're more like "curious" about him.

well if you watch the 2 episode OVA..it'll look a lot like yakumo is totally falling for him and he's falling for her too

It's just filling in the part they had to omit in episode 25 of the actual TV series.
The part with Harima and Yakumo is kinda like an expansion of the part in the episode when Harima goes to draw manga with her.
This is nothing new or surprising...at least for those of us who has already read the manga. This actually sets up the highlight of the entire series, the conflict between FLAG (Eri and Harima) and RICEBALL (Yakumo and Harima)...
I think School Rumble is only half as interesting without Eri vs. Yakumo for Harima. Eri is your proud rich girl, and although it's obvious that she likes Harima, she wouldn't admit it because of her pride and prejudice (:p pun). Yakumo is your innocent, dunno-the-world girl, and she has no idea what she thinks about Harima. But it's very clear that she is gaining interest for him, mainly because he's the only guy who doesn't scare her away with all the "this girl is hot" thoughts.
Yakumo could temporarily read Harima's thoughts because he momentarily confused Yakumo with Tenma in his intense passion.
By the way, I'm a Flagger.

No indeed! SR is anything but a harem anime. For the relations between characters, take a look at the picture here:

I wouldn't mind seeing Yakumo and Harima. But if i had a choice i would definately go with Harima x Eri, they are awsome together and ahve a hilarious chemistry lol.

Even if it were, Harima is far from a 'lame guy' :p He's willing to knock someone's lights out if they make him mad!
Anyway I only saw part one of the OVA and it was absolutely hysterical -
Imadori with his 'D' frenzy attempting to get over the fence was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time (so happy School Rumble is coming back for another season) and the eventual ending with Harima and Eri - equally hilarious.
It was nice how they covered some of the b chapters in the OVAs. The original parts were a nice bonus, too.

Yesterday, while watching School Rumble OVA 1, I found out how much I was missing its characters :) , although I finished watching the show just 3 months ago.
But then I have had "Suzuka" series invading my mind, and I was somehow distracted.
It was overall a pretty good episode, sure you need to know the series very well since its events take place in very specifical points of the series. This OVA 1 didn't shine, to say the truth, but with its slow pace, it was very pleasurable to see.
Arts and animations were improved, if compared to the already excellent ones from the tv series.
A couple of specific things about OVA 1, I still cover it with spoiler tag.
I was quite surprised with the added ecchiness. Being it the naked Tenma on the bathroom, or the Tenma/Eri/Mikoto trio ath the onsen. But, we don't get to see details but just the "puppet doll - like" figure mode. I think it's better so, the characters have reached a fascinating state which mustn't be spoiled by some vulgar fanservice shot. :)
The ROTFL moment: the scene featuring Eri and Harima at the hot springs, while the other two didn't even notice. I laughed for 2 minutes :heh:
I guess there isn't an appropriate adjective to label that scene, if not that it was so very .. SchoolRumblish :D
By the way, I'm very happy too, that a second season will come ;)

haha yeah, this scene was indeed very schoolrumblish.
and only because of that scene i think this episode was good enough and brought back the school rumble feeling.
didnt shine? it wasnt the best episode ever... but as i said, it was good nough, but still a bit to much b-chapter recap kinda whatever.

That scene at the onsen is truly an SR signature. I have been watching anime for years and it's these kind of LMFAO moments that shot SR in my top 3 list! when the wall was brought down, i was like, oh shit, shit, SHIT! OMFGWTFBBQLMFAO!!!!
That's just golden.

Hmm.. I watched the OVA 2 and found it a bit flat.. except for
The last sketch, with Harima and Yakumo, it could be a sort of preview of incoming moments of second season
Actually I found the prehistorycal arc a little bit dull.
ROTFL moment of the episode :
Harima mumbling about his and Tenma's sons. And how they looked, with grin and sunglasses , both male and females :heh: .. Very schoolrumblish as the onsen scene on OVA 1 as well :)
I think that overall OVA 1 was better than OVA 2. Just imho :)

Not to much talk here, guess everyone is waiting for Season 2 :D
Well I hardly care to much about Couples in School Rumble, but harima and yakumo actually look nice together, Would be nice if at the very end if it ended like that ^^ and after watching the two OVA's I like yakumo alot more, and Its good to see that harima is still his same old Self :D

:heh: I loved that Moment, Imadori is Hilarious everytime he is on Screen :heh:
oh! One thing I though was great was the different ending theme :D :heh: (at the end of the Second OVA)
I also liked the scene where they went prehistorical and Karasuma inveted " Anime". That was also one hilarious scene, and the scene with Himadori was ordering a smile from Lala-chan :D

Actually I found the prehistorycal arc a little bit dull.
Of both OVA 1 and OVA 2, I had the most grins while watching the prehistoric segment. Although, I didn't quite understand why some characters were wearing glasses 10,000 years ago? I suppose it was a choice to keep the glasses on their respective person because it's part their character. Oh well, that whole skit was very tongue-in-cheek anyways, as they were saying things that did not even exist back then. Perhaps its the added absurdity that made it funnier than usual, and thus was the most entertaining part of the two OVAs for me.
I really liked that very last scene of OVA2 where Yakumo's hair was being blown by the wind, while she was in wistful expression. That scene was truly captured and articulated Yakumo's beauty. I checked the GIF thread and did not see it GIFed yet, so I decided, why not, I'll GIF it as an avatar. Instead of wasting another post, here it is. Choose your borders:

I forgot how much I love the ending theme :) I wonder what they are going to do for the second Season ^^
I've just seen the OVA and although I've very much enjoyed it I cannot deny that I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping I could see some progress and development in the story and possibly the pairings as well. Well, most of the OVA focused on what happened before this and that and the story didn't progress at all until that Harima and Yakumo scene.
Nevertheless, the Harima and Yakumo scene was priceless, it was worth the wait after all. Before, I could care less who Harima ends up with, either Eri or Yakumo, but now I sure hope he ends up with Yakumo though I think it would be very complicated if that will happen ^_^
Just a side note about Yakumo noticing Harima's thoughts....don't you think she shouldn't get any excited about it, since although it all says "CUTE" there is this one big name on the right that says "TENMA". She should know that it wasn't really meant for her...oh well...hehe...hope season 2 will come soon. ^_^
Tenma's name was mostly covered up by Harima's body, it's very possible that she missed it.

Am continuously suprised by Yuuka Nanri who voices the soft spoken titan Karen also does the sinister man-eating Nao in Mai-Hime/Otome.
But the hotspring scene is comedy gold. Just when I think Jin-koba has done the joke, he pushes it a little further :heh:

I think we can talk outside spoiler-tags, now.
Yesterday, while rewatching the whole OVA 2, I enjoyed the prehistorical arc more, and I have changed my mind about it. Although not the best moment of the two OVAs, it was actually quite good and with a lot of little gems within it :)
Also, I highly second your opinion about the last scene with Yakumo. Yesterday, while gifmaking a bit on OVA 2 (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=26980&page=2), I literally felt in love with this sequence, and not only it was the last gif I made, but I even promoted it as my new avatar. I always love sequences with a girl's face and her hairs blowing in the wind
I didn't remember you made a gif about it, so I remade it. Although they're very alike (of course) I swear it's self-made! :heh: (a trained eye should see the slight difference, I cropped a little more on the right than you did and I haven't brightened it).
Well anyway sorry if you should have felt it like a stolen idea =^_^= , it was unintentional! ;)
Oh, and talking of gifs, here's the one which imho summarizes the real School Rumble essence the best! (along with the Onsen Sequence in OVA 1). It's already in the gif thread but it's that case "a pic is better than a thousand words":

when yakumo first became friends with sara in ova 1.... it showed that she already had iori as a pet.... but the anime of sr in the first few eps had shown sara already as yakumo's friend when yakumo was feeding an unknown cat .... to be called iori later on...
ok could some one explain the oddity?

This is great. More SR. :D Does anyone know when the new series will air in Japan?
The whole thing is really funny. The Harima's "kids" part was the best. All of them wearing sun glasses. And the CGI of the mammoth was funny, Ichijo and Lara kicks ass.

Well if my memory serves me right it should start airing around April?
As for Iori, the cat in question; I sort of believe that the cat has always been around Yakumo. I went to read the manga and the cat was already around when the author introduced Yakumo into the series in like chapter 3 of volume 1..(during the "break" within the chapters). Seems that Iori and Yakumo are inseparable...

hah when i made the thread, i only skimmed the two raw ovas..didn't watch them with subs till long after most of these replies were made but i still stand by my point that i think it's lame to have multiple female characters be into the main character while he's into none of the chicks that are into him..and is into a chick that isn't..

Okay, apart from the sick-bay teacher, there are only two female characters who are possibly "into" him (Yakumo/Eri).. And him liking a girl who doesn't like him back. Are you sure that is entirely unrealistic? Even in numbers, that happens in real life. I discount the teacher case because I think that's pure fanservice : p
But yeah, while I get that you think harem anime are unrealistic, I think you are overstating your case here for School Rumble.

I don't think it is matching.
I watched the two endings (normal and male) versions next to each other and there seems to be no relation between corresponding characters.
but that ending is one of the most entertaining things I've ever seen.
They got it all down to the timing and positions XP

Actually, it’s more than likely in part due to a time saving trick done by the animators. See that image of Harima? That’s a straight copy from Episode 12 – and there’s no place that you could put that image but the bottom of the set. Don't read in too deeply. :heh:
Of course, that Hanai – Eri remark bit brings to light the real reason behind your post. Ordinarily, I’d feel some sympathy for the fact that Hanai is carrying Yakumo in his arms in an image released this week. Now, it’s just poetic justice. :D
Great, the ova 2's the whole people fight a single mammoth is just like during the Battle Of The Pelennor Fields in LOTR.
the ova certainly was hilarious haha. espacially the first one about imadori and lala-chan's smile lol.
I have some questions, not sure are these plotholes or that I didn't get it, but it would be great if somebody would explain it for me. BTW, I'm not bashing SR, I'm just curious & seek explanation to these following queries which is quite bothersome to me.
1) (Not an OVA episode) When Harima was at Tenma's house to fix the AC, he said the house looks familiar, but none of the previous episodes (nor in the OVA) where he's at Tsukamoto household, then why did he say it looks familiar?
2) During the same episode, Iori hisses at Yakumo, she said she's been scolding Iori so much, but no episodes shows this (luckily it made sense after reading the Manga chapter in advance). The question is why they didn't have a scene showing this, as to some viewers, they might not of read SR manga & that made it a bit vague, "What happened? What did I miss?".
3) In the OVA episode, it shows how Sara & Yakumo 1st met & became friends. At that point the black cat already has a name, Iori (btw, is it male or female? Cuz it kept referred as he & she in different episodes) but on episode 4, it shows that Yakumo is trying to gain the trust of stray cat & that she's already friends with Sara, wouldn't that contradicts the OVA episode (at least slightly)? You know, Iori is been given a name & seems to quite friendly with Yakumo & then this episode it's totally reversed.
4) On Manga (& on the back of the English DVD case), Lala is referred as...well, Lala. But on the Anime she is referred to as Lara. I wonder why it's changed.

1) question 1 im not sure and i dont realy think its that important to kno but Harima is obsessed with Tenma so maybe hes went their to see her before?
lol the rest of teh questions idk about but all i can say is that the anime chooses its own method of animation they skip alot of mangas or mix em for some reason,
like in season 1 the manga shows how miserable eri gets after thinking harima and yakumo r going out she begins to go out with guys she doesnt kno
My own main problem with the anime/manga is that the anime leaves out alot of good mangas and animates toooo much filler and useless stuff i mean season 1 ended with 2 full episodes of none manga related anime to end the season and season 2 was filled with filler about Imadori, Asou, Mai mai dream and such it was quite painfull to watch a 2nd time. Altho i enjoyed watching season 2 the first time, the 2nd time i watched it i skipped the filer episodes i mean like all like half of em teh 2nd time, honestly the manga is a must read for SR fans from the begining
i hope the anime nex time(if their is one) focuses on the main charachters more

Now i know!
YES!
Harima did said the house looks familiar!
it's because he has been in the tsukamoto's house when he was a little boy!
please read School rumble Z chapter 4!
the answer is in there!
this is getting interesting........:)
... or maybe he simply stalked Tenma a little :uhoh:

As far as I know.. only 12% of the school Rumble z is probably considered canon.
Basically the whole Eri/Harima thing, and Imadori/Karen chapter.
