Bleach cosplay

Ok, didn't see any other threads on this, so if there are, forgive me. ^_^;;

Anywho, my current cosplay costume is almost done, so I'm already researching my next cosplay. Needless to say it's going to be a bleach outfit. The one I want to do specifically is the captain who has the duel swords and that flower covered overcoat. Does anyone have any good information on the layers that entails and what's involved with putting one together? Patterns, hints, maybe some pointers on finding pictures and info on his uniform would be awesome if anyone has any. Other than doing a lot of screen captures from the anime, and maybe some pages from the manga, I'm unsure of how to find what I'm after for this.

Hmm, very interesting and definately a good location to get some info. Their costumes are pretty darned accurate, and the actors seem to protray the anime/manga charecters quite well. :D Too bad they're not up to the point in their little broadway thing to cover the introduction of the captain I'm after.

other than seeing those..., hitsugaya and uruhara's cosplay guys are better than most of it, include ichigo which is quite ok..

I think the Urahara cosplayer looks true to the original. The rest doesn't look quite as good. Gin just looks wrong. So does Orihime.

Those aren't voice actors/seiyuus, they're a different thing. The actors here are those that perform in the musical only.

Most cosplays I see are pretty stupid, though the ones I usually see are pretty bad. These are good though :D I love when they are well done. The Byakuya one is the best :D

Oh, there we go. But it still doesn't give me all the elements of the outfit or good views of them. That's what I'm mostly concerned with. I don't do well with visualizing costumes. I prefer to have full visual examples if I can, or the closest possible things.

PS I actually got to see the musical opening night. And it was friggin hilarious. The Gotei 13 dance show in the middle was priceless. (as was Hitsugaya slapping Renji's a$$ durring the bowing at the end!)

Ahh Tuti, hes an aquired taste I think. Hes a great actor I just dont think he looked much like Gin. I did LOVE Uruhara and the guy that played Hitsugaya was such fun that I bought his photo set after the show!
Honestly, if anyone ever wanted to do the perfect Hitsugaya just find a wig like that! It had a latex part in the front so that the bangs looked like they were real. Oh and dance, dancing makes A hitsugaya cosplay complete. :D he just never stopped bouncing, so great.

Check it out. This site is selling Ichigo's sword for less than $50. It's all metal too -- not crappy plastic costume party props. They also have awesome final fantasy swords like cloud's buster and sephiroth's huge katana.

I agree Yoruichi is the best out of the ones i've seen.
Ichigo also looks really close, and Rukia is pretty good.
Also, Chad also looks very close to the anime ideal.
However, some of them really end up looking disapointing.
Like, the picture of the captain with the white hair, I don't like that picture.

I am from NY and I went to the Anime fest Saturday. I had a great time. Of course I got a tee, a poster (I was mad because all the ones with Ichigo by himself had Rukia's sword...The fluffy version he used). I got some Ichigo Chibi keychains...The plushies are ugly. I also got a 5'' figurine of Ichigo in school uniform with bookbag...and My boyfriend snatched my cc and ran before I could drop 70 bucks on Zangetsu and 45 for Tensa Zangetsu (He forgot about E-bay Craigs List and Amazon...So I will get it anyway..MUHAHAHA!)

Japan is a totally different culture... to us some shows could be "too sexual" or "too creepy", but to them are totally normal... things like homosexuallity, violence...

The same is with several another cases, look at me, im from a very conservative country... a show like "fear factor" is just too much.

I agree, it is one of the best i seen so far but it's also one of the most popular cosplay and easiest to do. i went to the last anime convention in london excel and majority of bleach cosplayers where ichigo and urahara.

I have to admit, some of those are freakin awesome. So much detail in them. Love the shot with the who captain crew together with their backs facing the camera. That Aanerio one is pretty full on to, along with some of the other Arrancar ones. So many good ones in there.
