Hey, simple request.
As most know, there is info about characters in the manga. Is it possible that you, the reader, out of your caring generosity can post information about any character i.e. Harima, Yakumo, Eri, Tenma etc. about info i.e. height, weight, etc.

Hmmz, I've visited this page a few times, and seems that no one is willing to provide the info. Well the SR manga I have is in chinese, and most of the "vital stats" are not really included... they are actually scattered throughout the series. I'll try compiling them and post them, but meanwhile, sorry man, you have to wait a while longer...... :D

I can probably post it, but why would you want to know info like that though? The manga is licensed so it will be coming to US, it much more interesting reading it and find out. If you still want it I can post.
Well, I know for a fact that Harima is 5'8 and still growing.
At least thats what he said, which is why he said he was going to get another bike when in reality he wants a faster bike because he lost a racing competition to Itoko's friend... um... the art teacher woman, forgot her name.

its like a magical effect.
even in the last half of the show lots of characters are introduced. some of them are even cliche'. but they are never boring. they have a sense of uniqueness you can feel even though their appearance may be plain. maybe im just too much of a fanboy when i watch this though :3
You've noticed this as well.. I've been trying to make sense of it, but man I can't.
Why do the cliche characters not have a cliche feel.
Maybe because, even though they're cliche, unpredictable stuff happens.

I think that for some characters, it is the fact that they are so cliche that makes them so entertaining.
You can see lots of parodies of the way cliche characters are.

I would say it's because they act as we want them to act.
School Rumble gives us what we want : normal to crazy characters interacting with each other the way which entertains us the most.
The second reason would the double (triple ? quadruple ? ) use of "dense as a rock" character. Harima, Tenma, Hanai and Imadori ...
How could you resist to so many impulsive, silly, predictable yet surprising numberous people.
It's reminds me "Road Runner and Will Coyote" for Warner Bros (don't know the real title in US).
You know the wolf will fail, but you don't know how ... just like School Rumble ! :)
Also, the most famous mangas, animes, movies ou books are mainly composed of stereotipical characters. That's why they sell so good : Anyone can recognize himself in one of them.

but for the most part, i think it works because all of the characters are unique even in their clicheness.

I though the same before.
But her interactions with Imadori are truly excellent !
He is Ichijou's "boyfriend", so a trophy to claim after the victory. But she quickly realized that his manners weren't ... acceptable !
Still, he is the only one who doesn't fear her, despite the number of broken bones he end up with.
Every boys and girls (minus Ichijou) are afraid of her, except for Harry and his friend. But those two are too much lonesome to let her come closer ...
I hope we will see how those three have met. They seem to be quite friendly (well, as friendly as they can be :heh: )

My memory of first season is kind of fuzzy but I remember that Lala is a guy dressed up as a girl right? There was this episode about this guy with great strength coming to Japan from Argentina (or some country in South America) who found someone with greater strength than him and that was Ichijou. Am I remembering things right or my brain is getting illusional now?

Lala is definitely a girl. Perhaps you might be mixing her up with her father, with whom she came to Japan. In the flashback, she's the little girl, and the man is her father.

Dude if Lala turned out to be a guy I would stop watching SR immediately. Her presence is bad enough as it is, but that would just be sickening

Nice list but is missing: Shin Misawa, Saito, and Kaori.
The most unnecessary character must be Karasuma. Plain characters. Lala even better then him. Although Akira is one of the main characters but she seem left at the corner of the story. Eri and Mikoto is the best.

Yeah.. I think it stopped around volume 9 or something..
The EFCPO character page (as well as the relationship chart) is missing the
spark between Shigeo and Madoka (who have been the most successful pair in the series so far.. Kenji! When will you wake up? >_>)
Anyways, from what chapter does this shot of Lala come from? It must've been 160 or above, since I haven't read those..

the chart also miss satsuki's love interest toward asou. for those who watched basketball faction, it's one of the main event beside suou X asou development.
I find it hilarious that they put tenma is rival against curry.lol :D I mean, she does have hard time defeating the curry itself (make it the right way and taste decent). even iori doesn't wanna eat her curry.
the chart also miss nara's love toward tenma. even though it was a short lived one, he did love tenma. another one that they miss is nishimoto' love for itoko sensei and anegasaki tae, the sexy school nurse.

Where you find this at? cuz i can't find it in the anime. and the manga i read doesn't have this part.....or maybe not yet....cuz they only have volume 1 translated in barnes noble.

The few times Mihara is ever mentioned, there is talk of her going out with lots of boys. It is all in the manga though, the anime hardly ever mentions her.

Maybe the only thing that can be concluded for Mihara in the anime is that:
1)She runs fast (Sports Festival)
2)She hates karaoke / Bad at singing (Ero-ge gang meeting and Cultural Festival Play Script #2)
3)She body boards (Ero-ge gang meeting, where her character card was shown).
It was hinted that she hangs out with Imadori because of the Survival Game (they were dead together), and also in the Cultural Festival Play Script #2. There is also a scene where she showed little jealousy to Mikoto when she knew that Imadori went to the beach with them (season1, ep18). I agree, never did the anime directly said that she likes Imadori.

No. It was 100% Tenma. That is why when she sees Harima's eyes, she remembers something "terrible". See the Summer Arc (I forgot which episode) for that scene. And that girl really looks like a younger Tenma, so you can't argue that it was Yakumo.
Ya i know but u know the episod where it was really hot and yakumo was after lori the cat she fall a sleep and u could see only tenma but not yakumos face. Ya i thought too that every time Tenma see Harimas eyes she think about the story. maybe yakumo told here the the Person have such eyes.
But we wil see at the end i hope Yakumo and Tenma will become one <3

I've seen this theory posted countless times, and debunked an equal number of times. This is just yet another way by which people try to get around the lack of romantic interest on both sides of the Onigiri Faction - by trying to prove that they are somehow "destined" for each other.
The problem, of course, is that there really isn't anything in the series that actually supports this theory.
1) Yakumo, Eri, Saeko, and Itoko have their eyes drawn differently from all the other characters in the series. The girl in the flashback has Tenma's rounded eyes, which are very different from her sister's.
2) Tenma can also defend herself. Tenma slams Harima a second time in Ch.159.
3) When Tenma sees Harima's face, she says that she "remembers seeing that face, somewhere." The visual image of a face is not something that you communicate by story.
4) We've seen Yakumo and Tenma as children in Ch.174. The both look like smaller versions of their adult selves, right down to their hairstyles.
If you make the assumption that Harima's memory is in any part faulty (something unsupported by the series), you should also recognize the fact that a substitution of any other girl for Tenma is an equally valid scenario. If Harima didn't recall that moment properly, then the girl could just as easily have been Karen, Mikoto, Nagayama, or virtually anyone else.
