What's with Ishida?

What's with Ishida keeping the grudge against Ichigo if he's not a Quincy anymore? And why didn't he use his leverage as one of the "saviors of soul society" to at least have something done to Mayuri? I'm surprised there was so little resolution for him... My guess is he miraculously regains his powers later on (possibly due to being around ichigo) because otherwise his character is pointless.

Ishida by blood is still a quincy, he just doesnt have his powers any longer.

In regards to his powers
He gets them back later on and still has a purpose in the story which is explained in the manga.

Ishida wasn't one of the saviours of soul society- he did nothing, remember? ;) Besides Soul Society isn't going to remove one of their most useful captains at a crisis time.

He doesn't really have a grudge. He's just shy. As Ichigo said, he isn't honnest with his feelings.

I actually think he does hold a grudge, at least for now, he suffers most likely from some mild form of a Byakuya-conflict: 'Oh i like him to be my friend, but what about tradition..oh..ho..im torned..what to do..what to do..'
In the end i forsee him pulling a Byakuya, he realise, like Ichigo, that some rules and tradition dont have to hold.

And ofcourse he will get his powers back, just how and when. Maybe Mayuri might be the one that will make him better, he did researched Quincies.
It would make a good story, old grudges forgotten, enemies unite, peace on earth, man on mars...

It never was about tradition. It was about his grandfather. And while it's quite possible he still strongly dislikes shinigami, I don't think he has anything against Ichigo or Rukia.

Oh, and he doesn't get his powers back from Mayuri, but fromhis dad.
