Who would make a good shinigami?

Ok the rules are must choose a character outside of bleach, justify your reasoning, the character can't be a death-god type character in antoher series, and theres probably more but use common sense.

I would say Sephiroth from FF7. He's pretty good with the sword, good with magic, and he already wears black.

Cloud would be ok too, but Sephiroth is a better fit and Cloud just has way too many swords to keep track of. Imagine if he had to learn the name of each and every one:eyespin:

kyo from samurai deeper kyo or indeed almost any one from there. hes crazy strong and very good with the sword even has a technique that shoots power like ichigo's shikai

Definitely Shishio from Kenshin. His character design just reeks of "death god" to it. Plus, I believe he has a name for his jagged sword as well.
