opening ports for LinkSys routers

Hello people I'm new to this board and I just realized why I'm downloading at low speeds, I need to open ports. I know that you go to 198.168.1.1 for LinkSys but it asks for a password/user name. If anyone here knows this information that would be very helpful, as I'm not a very patient person LOL I want to watch Naruto!

ummm, Read the MANUAL, its in there, the default paas word is: admin ; there is no user name and you need to go in the advance for the port forwarding
